May Haul: Sponsored and Bought

This month, I purchased and received a lot of stuff (not really a lot but a lot more compared to my previous monthly hauls) and for that, I was really thankful to the sponsors who trusted me and to the sellers I had online transactions with. You will see most of the stuff here in my previous and upcoming reviews but for now, I will just be showing the list to you. I will also include the links of the products I have written blog posts already.

1. Nova 2 in 1 Hair Beauty Set

I have been wanting both a hair curler and a flat iron which I can use to fix my hair on impulse. Good thing, I spotted this Nova 2 in 1 curler and straightener at an online shop with a voucher to use so I think I got this for only P150? Such a steal, right?

2. Bare Skin Aquamarine Soap, Luminous Whitening Body Mask and CC Cream

I am always grateful to Bare Skin for trusting me one more time and I love all the products Ms. Rowena sent me. I just finished the tub of the body mask just the other day and I was quite surprised with the effect. You may read the full reviews here: Bare Skin Signature Artisan Luminous Whitening Body Mask and Bare Skin CC Cream.

3. Wild Coconut Life's A Beach Coconut + Milk Bath Milk Salt Scrub and Coconut + Earth Clays Mud Mask

Wild Coconut's Milk Salt Scrub is the bomb! I love the subtle smell of milk and coconut and how the salt melts onto the skin while moisturizing it and making it soft and smooth. First impression reviews here: Wild Coconut Beach Sand Coconut + Earth Clays Mud Mask and Wild Coconut Life's A Beach Coconut Milk and Salt Scrub.

4. Johnson's Baby Bath and Lotion

5. Silka Whitening Soap

6. Belo Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid Soap

7. Cathy Doll Whitening Sunscreen L-Glutathione Magic Cream

I got all the items 4-7 from Sample Room and it seems like a habit of mine to purchase at the online shop every month because of the extensive selection of free products to try.

8. Glam Republic Organic Whitening Face and Body Cream

Glam Republic sent me two small jars of their famous organic whitening face and body cream. I like how one product is so multi-tasking that I can save on pouch storage especially during travel because the cream is already both a face and body moisturizer! Not to mention how yummy the scent is! Love it!

9. The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

10. Benefit Cosmetics 1st-Prize Highlighters

11. Zoeva Spring Strobe Spectrum

12. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone

13. 3CE Magic Touch Face Maker

The highlighters/illuminators from items 9-13 are products from Sephora. I personally handpicked these products for a special blog post intended for those girls with oily and problematic skin like me. I believe we deserve to shine gorgeously even on summer! You may read the full article here: Top 5 Highlighters That Work In Illuminating Your Face Without The Greasy Look This Summer.

14. Sampler Sachets

The rest are samples I got from Sephora and Sampleroom. Thank you so much!

I missed including some other items for this blog post because I'm either using them or store them somewhere else (like inside my bag!). Once again, thank you for the bottom of my heart. Let's spread good vibes! Happy blogging!

Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet Review

Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet
Bought for: Free | SRP: P55
From: Vedette

Being someone who is really dedicated to work, I feel like me-times are now impossible. Even pampering sessions at home which I used to do before were something I usually neglect now. Being a beauty junkie, I should never let this happen so just recently, I decided to at least incorporate masks in my skin care regime at least twice to thrice a week to revive my tired and dull skin. Even though I am lacking time to go to salons and have my maintenance facials, I am grateful for the loads of mask sheets now available in the market. Picking up the day's 'flavor' seems so convenient. Now, I can sleep with mask on, so in a way, I am able to maximize my time even more.

Going home from work just the other day, I never felt so restless in my life. But! I'm scheduled for another mask session (this time with my Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet) and I am not the type of person to break what I say so...enough with my blabbering and let's proceed to the brief review about my experience with this mask sheet from a Vietnamese brand, Vedette, which has been a cult favorite and another awesome skin care discovery for me!

Free from harmful ingredients!

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

The mask has Kiwi and Yoghurt as its active ingredients and being an enthusiast of beauty and skin care items, I learned that they are proven effective in giving wonders to the skin. Kiwi (one of my favorite fruits) is rich in Vitamin C that rejuvenates the skin, aids in the regeneration of skin cells, controls oil, possesses anti-aging properties that make skin firm and supple, whitens skin, and aids in soothing and preventing skin problems. Yoghurt (one of my favorite food as well!), on the other hands, is known to be a great source of Lactic Acid which also prevents aging, moisturizes skin, fights acne, treats skin problems and tightens pores among all other benefits.

APPLICATION

After washing my face and patting it dry, I put the mask on and rest for minutes until my skin absorb most of the product. The only time I remove the mask on my skin is when I felt like the sheet is almost dry and sticking to my face.

SCENT

The product has light citrusy scent that is wonderful to my senses. It just adds to the calming effect I felt upon usage. Nothing overpowering.

Sorry for my ugly bare skin!

PACKAGING

The packaging is very clean, simple yet informative. The whole sachet is even bigger than other mask sheets in the market. Upon opening, you will see that the mask itself is soaked well into the solution. There are even liquids left inside which you can use after you remove the mask for further moisture. You may also want to apply it on the rest of your body so it's not only your face that gets to receive nutrients. The mask itself fits the shape of my face perfectly which I really like because I have round face and most Korean face masks have structures different from mine.

PERFORMANCE

Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet is suitable for all skin types. I have oily skin so I quite am expecting some greasy or sticky feel after use. Turns out that there was very little sticky feel which is another point for me because most of the masks I used before were all super sticky and greasy that I cannot withstand the feeling so I rinse the products off  my face with water. This product is gentle as well for I did not experience any tingling sensation or signs of breakouts and other adverse reactions. Using this for more or less 30 minutes, I notice that my pores became less visible and my face brightened up a bit. My complexion was soft and smooth and I get rid of rough spots on my nose and chin area.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

Overall, I highly recommend this mask to everyone. What's there to lose, right? A sachet is super affordable st P55 and is effective in reviving tired and dull skin! If you have dry skin, expect that the product will sink right in and would give you that extra moisture your skin needs. Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet is a really good skin care discorvery and I would love to try out their other variants soon!

Any thoughts about Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet? Happy blogging!

Instant Whitening? Try Bare Skin Signature Artisan Luminous Whitening Body Mask!

Signature Artisan Luminous Whitening Body Mask
Bought for: Free | SRP: P450
From: Bare Skin Specialist by Rowena Los Banos

I'm quite satisfied having slightly fair complexion and I do not aim getting any whiter any longer since I am more focused in achieving even skin tone (deym the tan lines this summer lol). But when Ms. Rowena told me that she will be sending some items and this product is included in the loot, I just can't help but squeal in delight. I have read lots of good stuff about this Luminous Whitening Body Mask and of course, I gotta know whether the hype was true or not. So without waiting for few more days, I unwrapped the container and tried the mask immediately. It was exactly a week now and I just emptied this product. And now, here's my thoughts about Bare Skin Signature Artisan Luminous Whitening Body Mask.

PACKAGING

All the ingredients of the body mask is kept inside this plastic container and you'll know exactly later why. You will find the three main ingredients inside: the gluta rice powder, milky solution and luminous whitening soap. You will also find a wooden stick (shocks, I forgot what it's called) which you will find so useful later on to for you will have to use it to mix the product. Overall, I would say that the packaging looks clean and functional as well. But I would appreciate it better if it has more descriptions displayed on its body.

Scroll down to see the products that you will see upon opening the container.

LUMINOUS SOAP

About the size of a typical soap, this accompanying luminous soap is molded to look like a beautiful yellow flower that suds creamily and is gentle enough to clean the skin without any irritation. Because it is a whitening soap, it tends to dry the skin when used with the remaining ingredients in the set so application of a reliable moisturizing lotion is very much encouraged after taking a bath. Additionally, this soap is almost fragrance-free so you won't find it bothersome at all.

LUMINOUS MILKY SOLUTION

Among all the products I have found inside, this milky solution, I think, is the secret key to the instant and effective whitening effect of this product. It smells a little sweet yet sour (well, because it is a solution lol) and has a translucent creamy liquid inside.

GLUTA RICE POWDER

Finely milled and opaque white in color and texture, this is the main ingredient in the mixture. For every container, you will have 500g amount of this powder which you will be mixing along with the milky solution and some water.

It comes with a small paper inside where the direction for use is written. Well, as you can see, the steps are quite few and easy to do so...yeah, let's get going!

MIXING IN ACTION

So you see, the container has it's purpose because you can use it to mix everything in. Put all the ingredients inside (as simple as that) but of course, you might want to follow the given steps for organization lol. The fourth picture shows that everything is blended already but be informed that that consistency is what you will be getting after putting at least half a cup of water on it. The milky solution alone is not enough to create a batter-like consistency. Do not worry if you think you put insufficient amount of water because the liquid tends to evaporate later on and you would end up mixing water again to revive the hardened concoction.

You will notice that on the second day, the mixture will sort of bubble up and overflow. I stored mine in my closet and then the next day, there were mess everywhere hahahah! So I advise you that after mixing the product, you store it somewhere where it will not taint anything.

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY / EASE OF APPLICATION

After mixing, you will get a creamy white batter-like consistency that you have to use anywhere in your body. After minutes, the product will feel powdery on the skin and a bit drying. The application is quite messy in the bathroom because of the white films but it's fine because it's easily washable with water.

APPLICATION

You can choose whether to apply the product only on certain problematic areas or all over the body. I like applying it all over my body with spoonfuls of the product. But first, I do not forget to clean my skin with the Luminous Whitening Soap before I let the concoction sink into my pores for 30 or more minutes. I tried not rinsing the product with the accompanying soap but I ended up having white cast all over. Mind you, it does look a little odd haha. So I advise you to rinse the mask with the soap after application so it will not be too drying. One container lasts me about five uses but it still depends on the area you are applying the mask on.

PERFORMANCE

My camera may not do justice but this product, surprisingly, works! I already noticed it on my first use since my skin turned significantly brighter and even more radiant. My skin turned at least a tone lighter or more although I still was not able to get rid of tan lines after 5 days of using. I believe that is possible though with further use or if you really put your best effort on target areas. However, if you are having bad cases of flaky skin or excessive dryness or even sensitive skin, I would advise that you do some patch test first. Do not forget to slather a lot of moisturizer afterwards for the process may be too drying. I do not have sensitive skin and this product did not cause itchiness or any irritation of any sort.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I like this product a lot given its proven effectiveness without the pricey tags! I might repurchase should I be able to inject more leisure time because using this product takes too much of my rest times lol. I do not like staying too long in the bathroom because too much soaking in water may really strip the skin of its natural moisture. Still, if I am in need of fast whitening, I know what to buy and what to do! Thank you, Bare Skin for introducing this innovative product to me.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Moisturizing Lotion Review

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Moisturizing Lotion, 591ml
Bought for: P400/each only | SRP: P1000+/each
Bought from: a fellow blogger seller

Last month, I scored some goodies at such steal prices when a fellow seller of mine did some decluttering. These products were just ones among all super discounted items so I had to purchase. After all, I have been meaning to buy myself the gentle cleanser when the soap which I bought from a favorite brand suddenly did not work on me. I seemed to lose my hiyang factor after a few weeks so I decided to change my skin care routine, including the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and Moisturizing Lotion to it. And I will be talking about them today so here's a review about my experience. I know there are lots of reviews available online but I just want to share my thoughts about them anyway. These deserve one as they became a staple to me these days.

CETAPHIL GENTLE SKIN CLEANSER

Claims: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a mild, non-irritating formulation that soothes skin as it cleans. In fact, it's gentle enough for a baby's delicate skin. Designed specifically to work for all skin types, it is a simple, yet highly effective way to care for your skin.

• Our best-seller and fan favorite
• As gentle as it gets — soothes and cleanses, leaving skin smooth and soft
• Mild, soap-free formula cleanses without irritation — it won’t strip skin of its natural protective oils or emollients
• Moisturizes without leaving residue that can clog pores
• Good for special skin needs including those of rosacea-prone skin
• Available sizes: 2oz, 4oz, 8oz, 16oz

The pump I got here is the largest one so it is not convenient to bring when travelling. What I do is transfer a small amount of this to a clean travel-sized bottle and in that way, I don't have any excuse to not use this every single day. The pump is functional as you can open or stop it from dispensing the product.

This product claims to be mild on skin so expect that this is non-drying due to loads of emollients that you can find on the product's ingredient list. This is even mild enough to use for babies' skin. A lot of consumers use this as well and it's widely popular as a product that is for those with sensitive skin. I have super oily skin (you might know it already if you have been reading my blog for quite a while) but I still decide to give this a try because a lot of people recommend this cleanser to soothe my acne-prone skin because of its gentle formulation. Sometimes, those with harsher and tougher ingredients may harm us even more and I a living testimony how my skin reacts worse to them and you know what is even worse? My skin became even oilier than before so I am choosing gentle cleansers from now on and be more mindful of the products that I will use.

Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser has a very mild scent and is almost transparent in color with hints of shimmer on it. I have read somewhere that Cetaphil Cleansers vary depends on the location where it was produced (eg. Cetaphil Gentle Cleansers from the Middle East looks like the one I have, while those that are sold in Watsons are slightly blurry in texture but also as creamy). There are lots of counterfeit Cetaphil products being sold in the market today for such cheap prices. Just keep in mind that authentic Cetaphil Gentle Cleansers do not lather much on the skin, moisturizing and is fragranced-free and no matter how different they look, the effect is just the same. Fake ones lathers richly and is heavily-fragranced.

Since this product does not lather much on the skin, it tends to not be able to remove heavy or deep traces of makeups on the skin so you might want to use a separate makeup remover prior to cleansing your face. When you apply it on your skin, you can either rinse the product with water or just wipe it off with a wet tissue or clean towel if your skin needs more moisture.

This product really lives up to its word. This is definitely gentle and is non-irritating. I like letting the product stay on my skin for a few more minutes before rinsing off so oils and dirt and even dead skin cells may loose up and eventually be removed. To date, this is the best gentle cleanser for me. By the way, according to today.com, you may also find this product multi-tasking for it can be used as an additional ingredient if you are making a scrub, wash color-treated hair, used as an alternative to killing lice, moisturizing alternative to shaving creams, alternatives to eye makeup remover and brush-cleaner!

CETAPHIL MOISTURIZING LOTION

Claims: Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion is specifically formulated to soothe your chronically dry skin. Once applied, your skin feels soft and smooth. It is non-greasy, non–irritating and non–comedogenic (won't clog pores), leaving you feeling more comfortable in your own skin.

• Lightweight hydration to replenish sensitive and normal skin
• Fast-acting, long-lasting, light-weight formula helps maintain healthy skin
• Special ingredients are proven to bind water to skin and help prevent moisture loss
• Protects and enhances skin’s natural moisture
• Available sizes: 2oz, 4oz, 8oz, 16oz

Just like the cleanser, the counterpart lotion that I have also come in the biggest size you know so it's hard to bring this wherever I want. I would still have to transfer some creams to small jars so I can use it anytime.

This lotion is suitable for face and body use and since I bought the cleanser, why not buy this lotion as well, right? So I can have at least a low-maintenance skin care if I want to. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion smells mild as well and I see this as a water-based moisturizer that effectively soothes any skin problem even with only a little amount. The cream itself is very lightweight but not too runny and comes in an opaque white texture. It gets absorbed to skin easily as well without any sticky or greasy feel. Since I have oily skin, its moisturizing and hydrating factor is sufficient already to get rid of the tight feeling I am having after cleansing the face. However, if you have dry skin, you might want to use a heavy-duty moisturizer to hydrate your skin.

This lotion does not break me out or cause any tingling sensation or even irritation so it must really be that holy grail moisturizer I am looking for all this time. If you are getting away from moisturizers which leaves some white greasy film on the skin, you might want to switch to Cetaphil Lotion now. Indeed, it's non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) so it suits whatever skin type you have. One thing I find off about it though is the fact that it does not have built-in sun protection. so I still need to apply a separate sunscreen on top of it.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I am personally loving my Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Moisturizing Lotion! I notice that after using both for quite some time, breakouts were kept at bay and I am not having any cystic acnes. Though I am still breaking out (red days), my pimples looks relatively smaller than before and less severe, itchy and even fewer in number. I plan on including this on my skin care routine (like ever) and if I changed my mind, I'm sure I will be coming back for these.

Have you tried Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Moisturizing Lotion already? Any thoughts? Share it here with me! Happy blogging!

Top 5 Highlighters That Work in Illuminating Your Face Without The Greasy Look This Summer

Top 5 Highlighters That Work in Illuminating Your Face Without The Greasy Look This Summer

Being born with large pores and oily skin, makeup products which claim to give some luminous touch to our faces dreaded us the most. Sounds right? Summer season just made the feeling worst because it is when we perspire the most and these fluids we try to keep on hold just won't cooperate and then come few minutes and our faces look like it has been badly covered with oil slick. Don't worry though, I have come up with top five highlighters which could give us that star-like glow without looking like a grease ball under the scorching heat of the sun!

However, if you really want these products to work, don't forget the base makeups of course. I would suggest wearing anything lighter during the summer so your skin can breathe easily and avoid the heavy sticky feeling. Even though you wear the most expensive or best highlighter in the world, nothing beats investing on the best products that are suitable for your skin type. You might want to use a reliable mattifying primer, foundation, and powder under your highlighter.

Having oily skin, we ought to stay away from 'too much glow' which we might get from applying luminizing foundations or illuminators that give that 'blinding' shine on our faces. Believe me, we would not need that much because once our pores secrete sebum, we are now ready to say hello to natural shine. So unless you have all the time in the world to retouch frequently and blot out excess shine, start avoiding those products. And oh, before I forget, try to limit highlighter usage on your brow bone, upper cheeks, cupid's bow and tip of the nose only to reduce shine on the face. Do this and get ready to shine gorgeously this summer!

Without further ado, here's my top 5 highlighters that work in illuminating the face without the greasy look!

1. ZOEVE SPRING STROBE SPECTRUM, SEPHORA, P1500

These are four gorgeous pearlescent highlighters housed in one single black palette. Each shade (fresh green, bright blue, vigorous pink and sunny yellow) has pigmented duo-chrome finishes that could look beautifully subtle to blinding depends on the amount you put on. These are also infused with nourishing Vitamin E to make skin glowing just like a spring morning.

2. BENEFIT COSMETICS 1ST-PRIZE HIGHLIGHTERS - STROBING AND HIGHLIGHTING SET, SEPHORA, P1100

These trio provides flattering glow without going a little overboard. High Beam would be my top pick because it looks natural on my skin whatever season I'm in as it blends with subtle sheen and shimmer. The other two also give beautiful highlights which will undoubtedly give instant brightening effect into your overall complexion.

3. BECCA SHIMMERING SKIN PERFECTOR PRESSED IN MOONSTONE, SEPHORA, P1943

This highlighter in a pressed powder form features ultra-fine pearls that absorb, reflect and refract light with its multi-toned pearls which adjust to natural undertones. Unlike other Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Products, this shade in Moonstone give the least intense glow that is perfect for any skin type. Its ultralight and creamy texture pave way to better and easier application and astounding longevity.

4. THE BALM MARY-LOU MANIZER, SEPHORA, P1237

Housed in a sturdy and endearing compact with a full-sized mirror, this Mary-Lou Manizer is a beautiful shade that can be used in three ways: highlighter, shadow and shimmer. The pigmentation can be easily build up depending on your glow preference.

5. 3CE MAGIC TOUCH FACE MAKER, SEPHORA, P771

The best thing about the highlighter from this compact is that it features highlighting pigments that looks natural to the eyes. It does not have too much shimmers on it so it works as a brightener for dull skin that is completely shine-free.

For your reference, I swatched the products aforementioned on my arms and look at those subtle but gorgeous shimmers! All the shades are really wearable just as long as you know how to properly apply them. Hope this blog post help in keeping all the shines at bay. Get ready to glow this summer, girls!

What I Got From The Recent Purederm Giveaway

A few weeks ago, I joined a contest at Instagram where Purederm was giving away prizes worth P2,000 and after I have tried their Argan Oil Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelletes and loved it, I became even more enthusiastic to join since I learned about what could be found inside the loot bag. I thought maybe I could use my winnings in the next few weeks and write honest reviews (now that I'm running out of products to blog about) and let people know how effective their products are.

Anyway, the rules were very simple. You just have to repost their poster, follow them, include hashtags, tag friends and state your favorite summer product of theirs. I said it is the Purederem Argan Oil Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelletes. A few more days, I was really surprised to know that I am one of the five lucky winners to take home amazing prizes. They were even kind enough to ship the products under their expenses after I told them I can't be able to pickup the items due to complicated work schedule.

Anyway, without further ado, here are the list of skin care items I got and mind you, you will see reviews as soon as I am done with the test run.

  • 2 Purederem Vitamin Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelletes
  • 3 Spot Reducer Gel Patches
  • 2 Tiger Balms
  • 3 Exfoliating Foot Mask
  • 4 Soft and Mild Eye Makeup Remover Pads
  • 3 Nose Pore Strips
  • 2 Clean and Fresh Peeling Gel
  • 1 Eco Bag

And those are the items I got. Thank you so much, Purederm. Also, congratulations to the winners! Let's be each other's lucky charms!

Bare Skin CC Cream (Color Control) Review

Bare Skin CC Cream
Bought for: Free | SRP: P99
From: Bare Skin (Rowena Los Banos')

Claims: Bareskin CC Cream ( Color Control) is a cream contains elements that make your skin feel fresh and give it an extra smooth, even texture. This cream created to revive sallow, sore-looking skin on the face. It is not the best option for those with greasy and problem skin.

I got really ecstatic when one of the best organic skin care lines for me, Bare Skin, asked me if I want to review more of their newest products. I said yes of course and was even more delighted upon receiving a CC Cream, Body Mask and Soap inside the parcel as I have been hearing good reviews about them online (especially the body mask which is supposed to be the next Bare Skin Product that I will be reviewing). Hearing the organic world and its emerging brands, who once started from creating their own skin care lines, produce local organic makeups just made me evem prouder being a Pinay.

PACKAGING

I really like the packaging since it comes with a screw cap and is housed in a travel-friendly squeezable tube which reminds me of gloss packaging and which dispense products quite easily. Also, it has complete ingredients and description on the sticker so you will know what you are actually putting on your skin.

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY / EASE OF APPLICATION

The product looks like a tinted pink mousse cream and is soft to the touch. Lightweight in consistency, it is easy to blend on the face without leaving streaks or augmenting cakey-ness. Thus, it can be a good makeup base to be applied under foundation without the heavy feeling. If you don't want foundations or other base makeups, you can just layer this product alone for a natural glow.

LONGEVITY

Unfortunately, this product does not withstand my oiliness and could last only a maximum of 3-4 hours on my face so if I feel like washing my face in the middle of the day, I would reapply this product again and set it with a powder to make it last longer on my skin.

SCENT

This CC Cream has a very subtle powdery scent which I like.

PERFORMANCE

I am used to CC Creams which start looking like an opaque white cream (like the one from Etude House) then slowly becoming tinted once blended. So I'm kind of surprised that this CC Cream from Bare Skin stays true to the shade even after blending out. However, it is a good thing that this product is tinted pink for it actually brightens the face without that too much flush. It really gets rid of the plain and dull skin I get after washing my face. I'm kind of surprised with this color correct abilities so I'm encouraged in using it everyday especially this summer when the weather's so hot and my skin can't withstand the heavy and greasy feeling foundations give. This may give only a very subtle coverage but it really does give that fresh-looking and bright complexion.

This product has no SPF so you might want to layer an SPF-based products underneath. Using it everyday yields me no breakouts, tiny bumps, rashes or any skin problems of any kind. Yay! It also claims to be not the best option for those with greasy or problematic skin which I disagree because I have super oily skin type and this product does not trigger oiliness at all!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I highly recommend this Bare Skin CC Cream to everyone out there who wants safe makeup that is lightweight and gives skin that natural glow for a very affordable price of P99 (yes, only P99!)! This product comes in one shade alone and could suit whatever skin type and skin complexion you have. Don't worry it knows how to adjust. ;)

Bare Skin also have BB (Blemish Balm) Creams, PP (Pink Protect) Creams and DD (Daily Defense) Creams apart from this product. Sounds amazing, right? Would love to try them soon! Cute little things!

Any thoughts on this CC Cream from Bare Skin? Does this interest you?

Happy blogging!

Skinsicles Sea Mist Texturizing Sea Salt Spray Review

Skinsicles Sea Mist Texturizing Sea Salt Spray
Bought for: Free | SRP: P180
From: Skinsicles

Claim: Rock those beach waves even during the rainy season with this sea mist. Hair texture spray infused with Dead Sea Salt and Lavender EO

I am not the type of person who is fond of applying hair care products, aside from shampoos and conditioners, onto my mane because I'm afraid I'll just get hair problems like dryness and dandruff. When skinsicles send this sea mist to me, I'm both hesitant and excited in trying it out since it would only be my second time using an organic texturizing sea salt spray. Anyway, if you want to know my thoughts about it, please keep on reading and promise, it won't take too much!

The packaging is very simple--product is housed in a spray bottle but I love that the bottle feels sturdy and given it's size, I would definitely bring this to more summer adventures especially now that I want that extra beach vibes. The spray is the problem though because it dispenses not fine but huge drops of sea mist so it's only either you wet your hair (if sprayed too close to the hairline) or waste those drops (if sprayed too far).

The product contains 100ml of product inside and based on my mental calculations (what!!!), it lasted me more or less than a month before I squeezed my last. Still, I think P180 is quite affordable for the amount that you will get a spray.

The scent of this product is very subtle--neither plain nor too overwhelming and just like most mists, it comes in a clear form like water.

What I like about this is that it does not dry and end up with greasy or sticky residues on my hair. In fact, it makes my hair feel lightweight and touches like a beach hair. I just can't say that it is a texturizing spray or even volumizing spray because it does not really do much of those unless you really sprayed a lot (still, the effect would be so subtle).

Right now, I became so intrigued with hair care products even more, especially hair mists that I am really looking forward to trying out other variants from different brands!

Have you tried Skinsicles Sea Mist Texturizing Sea Salt Spray already? Any thoughts? Happy blogging!

May Product Empties (With Link of Reviews)

Here are the products I emptied this month (some are from other months, I just noticed they are empty just now). Well, I'm just glad I'm hitting the bottoms of products every month and I hope I'm going to hit makeup pans soon as well hihi.

1. Go Bare Miracle Balm

I have been using this on my underarms (even though it's safe for body use) before and I like how it keeps my UA soft, smooth and odor-free. Also, it can be used as a soothing balm after waxing, indeed, a product with lots of uses. A little of this also goes a long way.

2. St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

I forgot how many tubes of St. Ives I've feast on but the effect just does not change. Being one of my favorite scrubs, it always gives me the softest and smoothest skin without the dreaded dryness.

3. Victoria's Secret Amber Romance Perfume

I got this product from a trade last year or early this year, I think. Still, this remains to be my favorite Victoria's Secret scent. I'm kind of upset right now actually because I did not take advantage of Lazada Sale before where VS perfumes were on their unbelievable markdown prices.

4. Dewy Tree 3 Effect Cleansing Tissue

Definitely, the best cleansing wipes among all that I have tried and tested. It has hint of herbs and is wet and wide enough to clean the face with the greatest of ease. Affordable at around P130.

5. The Happy Organics Fruity Peel Skin Resurfacing Bar

It is one of the few organic soaps that caused my skin some micropeeling and I love it because it made my complexion more even and brighter. Also, it is free from harmful ingredients and is safe for everyday use.

I was cleaning the bathroom shelf today (May 22, 2017) and found these empty tubes. Wah, totally forgot about these products.

6. Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser

This facial cleanser is very gentle on my skin as it does not lather much so no need to worry about drying out my skin with this product. It also has a mild scent and did not cause me to breakout severely. Unfortunately, it does not really prevent pimples and acnes from coming.

7. Clean & Clear Deep Action Cleanser

I feel like this is a really good cleanser which effectively removes dirt, dust, oil and makeup residues in one wash but I am not really a big fan of foaming wash as they tend to dry out my skin. Although this is for oil control, I don't like the feeling of stripping off my skin too much moisture because it tends to secrete more oil. If you really want a matte skin after wash, you might want to give this a try instead.

8. Signature Artisans Luminous Whitening Body Mask

I immediately gave this a try when Bare Skin send this to me because I've been reading good feed backs about this that it's really effective in whitening the skin. True to its claim though, it made my skin bright and glowing after five days of continuous use.

9. Nivea Creme

This is the most effective moisturizer for those who have excessive dry skin, in my opinion. I have super dry hands and feet and I opt to apply Nivea Creme on those parts whenever needed and it just give long-lasting moisture and hydration on parched pelts.

10. Cleopatra's Secret Microexfoliating Rose and Milk Soap

This soap is made of organic and natural ingredients inspired by the skin care of the famous faces of ancient times, Cleopatra.

11. Cleopatra's Secret Sensitive Facial Cleanser

This cleanser comes in a foaming packaging, has a strong herbal scent which may find off-putting by those who are very sensitive to scents. I like it though. It is also gentle on skin and did not break me out.

12. Leiania House of Beauty BB + CC Creme

This BB + CC Creme is an organic product of Leiania House of Beauty that is effective in giving the skin that instant boost of radiance while giving a sheer and natural coverage. It has SPF on it so you are protected under the harmful rays of the sun.

13. Maxipeel Zero Micro Exfoliant Fluid

I'm not as impressed with this product as I am with Maxipeel Solutions but this is a good toner to maintain bright and glowing complexion. I did not get rid of my pimple marks/scars nor did they lighten just a bit so I'm kind of not recommending this product at all.

14. Leiania House of Beauty Castor Oil

Castor Oils are one of my favorite products because I can use them not just to maintain lustrous and strong lashes, I could also use it as an eye cream and a lip moisturizer due to its emollient properties.

15. HBC Essentials Personal Wipes

These wipes are not really as tough cleaners as my other cleansing wipes but I like that they keep my skin matte and fresh after use without any irritation, greasiness or stickiness at all.

And yeah, those are my product empties for this month. I wrote this post in advance because I am not emptying any more products any time soon. Happy blogging!

HBC Essentials Personal Wipes Review

HBC Essentials Personal Wipes
Bought for: P49
From: HBC

Last month, Adrian gave me 4 packs of HBC Essentials Personal Wipes because I have always wanted someone to give me cleansing wipes as presents. I could buy one though and I don't understand either why I need to have someone buy them for me lol. Anyway, I just feel the need to review this product here because I was quite disappointed with this product (even though it is reasonably priced) after testing a few brands such as the cleansing wipes of Purederm and Dewy Tree which are definitely best buys for me. Anyway, here's a brief review about this product.

Nothing special with how the product's been made, but I am used to resealable packaging so no worries. It is also loaded with information at the back such as the description, claims, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates, price, etc. I guess people, like me, who are very conscious about what we put on our skin, will appreciate this.

This product claims to remove dirt and disease-causing bacteria so hurray for that. The wipes itself smells almost nothing so I have to say that it quite suits those who are very sensitive in terms of product scents.

The picture above and below shows the exact cloths when pulled from the plastic. It's obviously smaller and thinner compared to other cleansing wipes--may it be from drugstores or high-end brands, and is translucent to the eyes. Unlike Purederm and Dewy Tree's, this does not seem like well-soaked on liquid solutions so it cleanses less effectively in my opinion. It does not remove makeups easily as well unlike other cleansing wipes in the market. Most likely, you will have to utilize three to four cloths when you wear heavy makeup due to its flimsy properties and one to two for lighter layers.

The good thing about this product, though, is that it is very lightweight on skin and does not feel greasy or sticky on the face. The problem is just that it is impractical to use for me because a lot of sheets is required to clean the face in one use alone. Also, the cloths seem rough on my face (or maybe I might be pressing real hard to get rid of oils, dirt and makeup?).

Overall, I think I would still use these wipes to clean my face only if I have lighter makeup on (little bit of bb cream and powder alone). It also would even come handy if I need something to clean my skin. What's there to lose, right? A pack is so affordable. Although I still prefer the thicker and tougher ones in terms of removing traces of makeups on my skin  with the greatest of ease.

Have you tried HBC Essentials Personal Wipes? Any thoughts? Happy blogging!
