Get Soft and Smooth Skin With The New Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap

Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash (200ml) and Soap (80g)
Bought for: Points | SRP: P80; P28.75
Bought from: Sampleroom

Hello everyone! I have discovered something recently while I was browsing at Sampleroom! I did not know Palmolive has body wash in their skin care line already before that. Whoa! Knowing their shampoos which all smell so lovely and long-lasting, I just can't wait to try their newest products too! This is the Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap with 100% natural milk protein extract. I like products with milk on it because they smell so nice and yummy as if they can be eaten. They are also nourishing, brightening, moisturizing and making skin soft and smooth. This is why I am always looking forward to taking a bath lol.

PALMOLIVE NATURALS WHITE+MILK BODY WASH

CLAIMS (as per Sampleroom):

Palmolive Naturals White + Milk Soap’s formula is infused with 100% natural milk protein, helps nourish and reveal whiter skin in just 1 week*, so you can flaunt your naturally milky white, milky soft skin. Its rich formula contains mild cleansers and natural whiteners that help moisturize and leaves skin looking radiant. Its long-lasting fragrance gives you a pleasurable bathing experience. *Based on mexameter instrumental reading when used twice daily

DIRECTIONS:

For the best lather apply a small amount of liquid to a wet sponge or cleansing puff. Massage onto body, then rinse well. Not to be used for children under three years of age.

PACKAGING

The packaging for Palmolive body wash are almost the same with their shampoos, nothing fancy or anything. However, I really appreciate that it's loaded with information like claims, directions, Ingredients, expiry date, etc. One bottle with 200ml of products retails for as low as P80 and it claims to last up to 50 washes! This is definitely one of the drugstore body washes that are so affordable and economical to use!

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY

The body wash is sheer white in color and has a bit of a runny consistency. Unlike other body wash in the market, this seems to have a thinner consistency so I ended up having wasted products every time I take a bath because it just slips from my hands. Maybe you could try applying it directly to sponges/towels so that you can maximize your use to it. What I use every bath is a spoonful of Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and it's already enough to create a lather that could give the skin some extra cleaning.

PALMOLIVE NATURALS WHITE+MILK SOAP

This is a typical Palmolive Soap that is housed in a box with detailed information about the product. It comes in an opaque white color and by the looks of it, I think this 80g soap will last me more or less two weeks. Just like other Palmolive soaps, this one does not melt easily on soap dishes. It also smells similar to the pleasant scent of the body wash and is non-drying to the skin despite its whitening claims.

Before I apply the body wash to my skin, I make sure to cleanse it with Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Soap first to ensure that the body wash will lather afterwards. In the Philippines where the weather will make you perspire extremely, you sure will be covered with oils and dirt at the end of the day and lathering products on your skin will take extra effort. I'm sure it will take spoonfuls of the body wash before I get squeaky clean skin. With this soap, I can have well-cleansed skin in just one application.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I really like the new Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap! They make me smell so great after wash and they even linger on for few minutes to hours! Using them both makes my skin smoother, softer and even looks healthier! I did not even find them irritating on the skin so these must be a really good steal considering their affordable price point. I highly recommend these to everyone especially to those with dry skin who needs more hydrating cleansers like this.

Have you tried The New Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap? Let me know if you decide to get your free samples at Sampleroom! Happy blogging!

Pimple Gone With Purederm Cooling Hydrogel Acne Treatment Gel Patches? Yes or No?

Purederm Cooling Hydrogel Acne Treatment Gel Patches
Bought for: Free | SRP: more or less P100?
From: Purederm

It was not too long ago when I suffered from breakouts due to stress from lots of school works, poor eating and sleeping habits (thank goodness, I'm a graduate now!) and whatnot. Sounds familiar? Even though you take care of your skin too much, there are still lots of factors that could stir up acne. Don't blame yourself, sweeties, things like these happen lol. It's not as if you know when you will develop zits, right? The best thing you can do right now is to give it some extra care and treatment that will surely work.

Here's just few things I'd like you to take note of! First, do not touch the inflamed areas especially with your dirty hands. Second, do not rub too much especially when washing the face. Be careful not to pop zits and make them swell even more!!! Third, treat them with effective pimple-fighting products. Last month, I was introduced to Purederm Cooling Hydrogel Acne Treatment Gel Patches and it became one of my current staple in skin care.

PACKAGING

The patches are housed inside small silver packets which are so convenient to bring anywhere. a single packet has 10 patches inside which is quite handy. These packets are to be found in a bulky box which I keep on wondering why Purederm has to make this quite enormous that even 20 packets could fit inside!

Each box is simply designed with loads of information such as descriptions/claims, how to use, storage, ingredients, expiry and manufacturing dates. Look! It even has the actual size of patches displayed at the back!

DIRECTION

I apply these patches (once a day before before sleeping) on affected areas after cleaning my face, once everything's been fully absorbed. I just get patches depends on how many zits I need to cover and keep the rest tightly sealed after using to secure the product.

SCENT

The product has an unnoticeable scent to it or is barely-there so you won't have a hard time adjusting to it if you are very sensitive to scents.

PERFORMANCE

As you can see, the patches are flesh-colored but still noticeable on the skin. The other side has a clear gel-like texture which has the active ingredient to soothe pimples, I believe. It is also a bit sticky so it would adhere to the skin instantly. If you don't like sleeping while looking crazy, you might not like the idea of these patches, kidding hehe. This product has no cooling effect on skin just like what's on its name so I was kinda disappointed. The adhesives is a bit of a turn off because I always end up waking up losing all the patches on my face. Sometimes, I would just be surprised 'cause there are patches underneath my bed or along the pillow cases. The best advise I can give you is to behave while sleeping so they won't fall out lol.

The first time I use it I had four average-sized zits on my face (as you can see on the photo below). I applied the patches at night and I was really surprised that the swelling reduces the next day and the size look smaller as well without excessive drying. I thought that maybe they worked since it's my first day but on the third day, my zits were all dried up!

Sorry for the ugly, naked face lol

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I am glad I was able to use this product. It comes very handy especially whenever I have sudden breakouts but I have to go attend something important the next day. I highly recommend it to everyone since it effectively soothes breakouts and is easy to use. Effect is pretty fast as well. It's reasonably priced and is widely available in department stores, drugstores and other leading supermarkets nationwide!

Have you tried Purederm Cooling Hydrogel Acne Treatment Gel Patches already? Any thoughts? Happy blogging!

June Haul: Bought and Sponsored

Time flies so swiftly. We're almost past half of 2017 and here I am, nothing's changed--I'm still spending non-stop (lol). But I'm quite proud of myself this month because the amount I spent for these items were nothing compared to what I usually spend before. Anyway, just like how it used to be, expect that whatever products featured here will be included in my to-review list. Let's start!

1. Palmolive Naturals Healthy and Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner

These are my all-time favorite shampoo and conditioner from Palmolive because it cleanses my hair really well without drying it. When I saw these duo at Sampleroom, I know I have to repurchase. It was right on time because we were running out of them already.

2. Palmolive Natural White + Milk Body Wash and Soap

These are the newest products of Palmolive in their body care line. I spotted these at Sampleroom as well and decided to give this a try. I have been using these for quite a while so stay tuned for my review!

3. Real Techniques Travel Essentials Brush Set and Shading Brush

I am pretty sure I have mentioned that I will save up to collect Real Techniques Sponges and Brush Sets before I decide to level up my makeup skills lol. I know it pays to have good tools so I'm investing on great ones from now on.

4. Panda Sleeping Mask

Working on a graveyeard shift means sleeping in the morning. It's kinda hard to fall asleep with light everywhere so.

5. Watsons Interdental Brushes

These are on sale (P20 off) so I bought two for my braces hehe.

6. KKOT Lip Balm

So far the best lip balm I have tried. It is non-drying plus it gives subtle tint to lips every application because of the color-changing technology. It smells nice as well and even my friends at work love it! Review here.

7. A Concept: A Shape of My Face Triple Contour

I want to learn how to contour so I bought this. Also, I have loads of highlighters but not a single one contour makeup lol.

8. Pilaten Black Head Pore Strip

I always get sample sachets of these from online purchases and this time time I decided to give it a try. I just wrote an article about it here.

9. Belo Talc-free Powder

This is also a new product of Belo which I was so excited to use before since I love powders (oily skinned obsessions). I love that it smells nice like babies and the pigment's are gentle and fine enough for daily use.

And these are the products for my June Haul! Let's see what I will get the next month! Can't wait to shop a little bit more! Happy blogging!

Clean Your Pores With Pilaten Black Head Pore Strip X Review

Pilaten Black Head Pore Strip, 6 grams
Bought for: Free | SRP: P10 (more or less)
From: Freebies from online purchases

Just recently, I noticed that I kept on receiving sample sachets of the ever-popular Pilaten Black Head Pore Strips as freebies from my online purchases. Since I have been hearing good stuff about them, I decided to finally give them a try although I am not really much of a peel-off-mask fanatic. Surprisingly, I am having good experiences with this product. For the detailed review, please keep on reading!

PACKAGING

The product is kept on a typical tiny black sachets with Korean (is it?) letters on it which obviously I don't read. This is why I pretty much relied on online sources for more information about it. I believe that this product comes in a bigger container (tube) and is super affordable at less than P100 a piece. Since it comes in a pocket-friendly size, I would prefer bringing it during travels so I don't get the hassle of storing bulky products and I get to save for space.

SCENT

This is probably one of the cheapest peel-off masks in the market and admittedly, I underestimated its standard at first, thinking it would smell like cheap chemicals or would even irritate my skin during the process of usage. But no, it does not have any funky smell of whatever. It in fact has a subtle fragrance on it unlike other peel-off masks that reeks of glue-like scent. Indeed, those of you who are scent sensitives have nothing to worry about.

APPLICATION

Wash your face and pat it dry. Make sure to have a clean face so the product would adhere on your skin well as oils and other dirt may prevent this product from taking a good grip of your blackheads, whiteheads and other skin impurities on your nose. Approximately two to three pea-sized of this is enough to cover the nose area fully. You might want to sit in front of the aircon or fan to hasten the drying process. There is no exact proper time of peeling it off but as soon as you feel tightness around your nose area, and the product is smooth to the touch, then it's definitely good to go.

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY / EASE OF APPLICATION

The pore strip comes in a viscous black liquid that is easy to apply on the skin. If I may suggest, you might want to make sure that you applied the product in all areas around your nose equally and apply a generous amount of the product on your skin so the peeling process will be much easier as the mask won't tear apart or something. In my case, one sachet is good for up to two-three uses. This product is a bit messy to apply and you will waste a lot since you have to use your hands but the good thing is that, this is so affordable.

Black Head Pore Strip  in action

PERFORMANCE

For its price, I did not expect much. But I was really surprised that the pores on my nose seem to look more refined and clearer and I got rid of blackheads pretty fast. There was slight refreshing minty feeling upon application and it helped me relax my senses. Usually, my eyes tend to tear up every time I'm peeling off products like this on my nose area but not with this. There was less tugging and for me, the adhering ability is pretty much average but I like it that way since I feel like I'm not giving my skin a hard time.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

For me, this product is a good buy not just because of the fairly good price point but it's really is helpful in cleaning the pores on the nose area. I tend to develop blackheads and clogged pores on that part pretty much faster than any other areas on my face since that is where I perspire the most so it needs extra care. I'm glad I discover Pilated Black Head Pore Strip and will surely recommend it to everyone. However, if you still prefer the ones that have better adhesives, then you might not like this.

Anyway, any thoughts about Pilaten Black Head Pore Strip? Have you tried it? Happy blogging!

KKOT Essence Lip Tint Balm Review

KKO:T Essence Lip Tint Balm
Bought for: Free | SRP: P550 (but they are currently on sale!)
From: Beauty N Style Seoul

Claims: KKO:T (pronounced as /kot/) essence lip tint balm is a Korean transparent lipstick. It is a combination of tint and lip balm. It uses high-quality lip balm formulation from Japan, which is recognized worldwide, to enhance the quality and transparency of the lipstick. The natural dry flower was put in the lip balm, so you can enjoy vibrant colors as well as feel natural-cool scents. You can enjoy a nice, natural flavor in addition to the natural-coloring that lasts.

Have you heard of a color-changing lip balm with preserved flower inside? Sounds cute, right? I recently discover this innovative lip balm from a Korean brand, Kko:t. What I find really interesting about it is the fact that it is color-changing, thus the name 'lip tint balm' and has a preserved flower that you can clearly see from its packaging. It's not my first time using a color-changing balm but there's something really nice about this product which I will be talking about in the next few paragraphs.

The main ingredients of this product are sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, squalane, tocopherol that provides instant moisture to dry and rough lips. Lip balms are really a staple in my skin care routine because I have super dry lips. Drinking lots of water everyday does not help either. So if I have something to invest on for my lips, that would be a good lip moisturizer--forget about lipsticks or tints.

PACKAGING

Apart from the dried flower inside as one of its feature, KKO:T comes in a clear plastic retractable lip packaging. Sure, I can see the product inside but I prefer if this comes in a sleek opaque container just to mimic its price. I like though that it has this box so I can prevent scratches when in storage. Despite the Korean writings on it, I appreciate that it has English Translations below.

This lip tint balm comes in four colors--aside from the pink one, it comes in violet, blue and yellow as well. I have no idea though if the color payoff are just the same.

SCENT

This product has a subtle scent of strawberry and floral scents which lingers a few more minutes after application.

TEXTURE / EASE OF APPLICATION

The product comes in a clear form and has a very lightweight formulation, I would say. In terms of formulation and ease of application, this is the best among those I have tried so far. It glides effortlessly on the lips once swiped and instantly gives a slightly tinted flush to it. Color payoff will depend on your actual lip color and how much you put on. If you want to have bright pink lips, go ahead and swipe it a few more times. If you want to have natural-looking pink lips though, two to three swipes will be enough. What I like about it is that a single application is already sufficient to moisturize parched lips without any stickiness or greasiness just like other lip balms give. It just unbelievably wears comfortably on the lips.

PERFORMANCE

A few swipes is good enough to partially hide hyper pigmentation and dark lips. Another thing I love about it is the fact that it did not make my lips dry nor sore. However, don't expect the moisture to last long probably due to its lightweight formulation. I used to apply this more than five times daily and as soon as I drink water, the moisture will be gone (but the stain holds intact. don't worry). Therefore, reapplication is necessary. The lip balm is pretty long and a little goes a long way already. I just don't imagine myself consuming everything 'çause I don't want to touch the flower haha!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

The main selling feature might be the dried flower but if you get to try this, you will love the texture of the lip balm. I can't describe it perfectly but it's so soft, light and comfortable on the lips--there's just something unique about it. I can also layer it under lip sticks or cream which are kind of hard to spread on the lips. There will be times when all you would want is this and some douse of powder.

For the price point though, I am very hesitant if I would repurchase because I find it a little too high for my budget right now lol. But overall, I would say this lip tint balm is pretty much a steal and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Purederm Clean and Fresh Peeling Gel Review

Purederm Clean and Fresh Peeling Gel
Bought for: Free | SRP: P99
From: Purederm

Before, I was not someone who preferred putting on masks, peeling gels and other types of skin care products on my face because time requirement was just so complex with all the cleaning, application, soaking/drying process. I tend to be so impatient in terms of taking care of my skin that was why I used to keep products in my routine as simple as cleanse, tone, moisturize and scrub (which I find even better than other steps there are). Now that my skin is always dull and tired (lack of sleep and stress due to work), I think it's now the proper time to give it generous amount of nutrients from products like this peeling gel to keep it healthy and young. Remember, prevention is better than cure!

Description, How to Use, Cautions

CLAIMS

Purederm Clean and Fresh Peeling Gel, formulated with Apple, Lemon, and Orange Extract, deeply cleans pores, gently exfoliates, removes dead skin cells and refines skin surface. Skin is healthy looking and refreshed.

Ingredients

It has Apple (which is rich in nutrients like Vitamin C, Copper and antioxidants), Lemon (rich in vitamin C and citric acid that help brighten and lighten skin) and Orange Extracts (loaded with vitamin C vitamin A, enzymes, etc).

PACKAGING

The peeling gel comes in this sachet with a nozzle covered with a twist-off cap which I find unique. Most of the peeling gels I know comes in jars/tubs so this one is really convenient to use and is travel-friendly. Since it has this twist-off cap, spillage or even dripping will be avoided. This also ensures that I will not have to use my finger to scoop the product from the container (that's unhygienic!) for the gel easily dispenses if you squeeze a little. It also has 50ml of product inside so I think this will last me beyond 5 uses which is kinda economical given its price point. Important descriptions, ingredients, manufacturing dates, cautions and directions are completely included in the packaging as well.

SCENT

It has a subtle citrus apply scent which I think no one will find bothering. It instantly calms my senses and gives me a freshly-scented feeling.

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY / EASE OF APPLICATION

As per its name, it's a peeling gel which I first doubt upon seeing the light consistency of the product. Compared to other peeling gels I have tried before, this one is a little runny in consistency and is more like a mask than a peeling gel. It has a pearly white color and there are tiny particles which you will easily feel once you apply the product on your face. I like that it has this kind of scrubbing properties so exfoliating the skin and removing rough areas is super easy. I can use it everyday while skipping mask and scrub at the same time since the moment you apply this product, you can leave it there for few minutes (as mask) before massaging completely to get rid of skin impurities (as scrub).

PERFORMANCE

Few seconds after spreading this on my face, I notice the tiny particles which falls from my face and I know it's the peeling gel with dead skin cells on it. Peeling gels do not literally peel your real skin by the way, they just resemble peeled skins but it's only skin impurities, primarily dead skin cells, which they tend to absorb so your skin will be instantly refreshed afterwards, leaving it so soft, smooth, hydrated and even brightened.

This peeling gel does not sting my face and is not harsh at all so I'm currently loving it. My face isn't really sensitive to it nor breaking out from frequent usage so I keep on using this daily as part of my skin care routine.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

This product has a good price point for the amount of product that you get. Since I find it gentle on the skin, I recommend this even to those who have sensitive skin types. I would not replace my favorite St. Ives Apricot Scrub for this though since I prefer something a little abrasive to exfoliate my skin.

Anyway, have you tried Purederm Clean and Fresh Peeling Gel? Share your thoughts with me! Happy blogging!

Bare Skin Exotic Aquamarine Soap Review

Bare Skin Exotic Aquamarine Soap
Bought for: Free; SRP: to be updated
From: Bare Skin

I easily get intrigued with products that do not look and feel the way they are supposed to be. One of the  newest products in the organic world that we might find interesting is this Bare Skin Exotic Aquamarine Soap which is surprisingly at no exact shape and color. Its name really speaks to what it looks like: has a texture of a rock which can be found in clusters at the bottom of a vast ocean. Cute right? Compared to other typical soaps, this one is almost the size of my hand but feels like it has no weight at all.

Bare Skin Exotic Aquamarine Soap

PACKAGING

When I received the soap, it was wrapped in a pink paper with a nylon tied on it. I don't have any idea if this is the typical packaging for this certain product but it's what inside that matters most.

SCENT

It smells so mild with a subtle scent of sweetness. It very much reminds of the scent of that (uhm, what do you call it???) hardened icing drops that melts on the mouth which were a cult-favorite back during my childhood years and maybe up until now. It is really a breath of fresh air since we are all used to heavily-fragranced soaps--those that smell either floral or citrus-y or a combination.

PERFORMANCE

On the first time I use this soap, I was so afraid that one soak in water and it would melt down because of the lightweight and icing-like texture. Seriously, if I try to press a little hard on the soap, I would see my fingerprints imprinted on it lol. Good thing, it did not melt on soap dishes quite easily. The first time I tried lathering it on my body, I thought it was super gentle since I only get to see tiny suds on my skin. Using it for few more days and it would lather well eventually. I do not know if this would be a good thing for you, guys, but this soap leaves a slippery sheath on the skin upon lathering which is a bit hard to rinse off. I guess this is because it is a moisturizing soap.

This soap did not irritates skin nor made it itchy even after letting it stay on my skin for a few more minutes than usual. After every wash, my skin feels fresh, well-cleansed, smooth, soft and tight without excessive drying.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

If you are looking for gentle, all-natural and cruelty-free soap, Bare Skin Exotic Aquamarine Soap is something you all should try. I have already tested four products which are hand-made by Ms. Rowena and I can say that all of them did not yield any side effect on my end. Given that it's mild on skin, I think it would suit whatever skin type you have: normal, oily or even sensitive ones. I don't have major problems on my skin right now and I'm even quite contented with my current skin complexion so I'm not aiming for anything else as long as I know that I'm putting healthy stuff on my skin.

So...does Bare Skin Exotic Aquamarine Soap interest you?

Happy blogging!

Be Gentle On Your Eyes With Purederm Soft and Mild Eye Makeup Remover Pads

Purederm Soft and Mild Eye Makeup Remover Pads
Bought for: Free | SRP: to be updated
From: Purederm

Our eyes are the most sensitive parts of our face, therefore, extra care and gentler cleaning are required to keep it healthy, bright and lines-free. While I'm a huge fan of waterproof makeups, most of the time, it's a pain in the ass removing them with soap and water alone. Sometimes, even the (a little) expensive for-the-eyes makeup removers do not do the trick. But when I get to try this Purederm Soft and Mild Eye Makeup Remover Pads, I thought it's impossible I will be splurging lots of bucks on expensive ones. What for? I have here one of the most reasonably-priced eye makeup remover pads, just a fraction of their prices but works almost, if not at par.

Claims, Ingredients, Cautions, Directions for use

PACKAGING

The pads are housed in a cute-sized yellow green resealable packet. If you want to use a pad, you have to access them through the peel-off opening which has quite good adhesives so the inside would not easily dry out. Like most Purederm's products, this one has a very simple yet clean packaging with enough information displayed at both front and back part of the packet: claims, ingredients, directions, caution, even the manufacturing and expiry dates. The packet itself is so small to conveniently fit small pouches, you would not think there's 30 moist pads inside!

TEXTURE

The pads are made up of soft textured cloth which are non-abrasive to the skin. It is perfectly soaked with solution so it requires you less effort in swiping away dirt and makeup. With it comes in small size and circular shape, it can perfectly fits the eye area and remove even the most stubborn makeup from the eyes.

SCENT

It has a combination of subtle floral and citrus scent which I find very refreshing. I think no one would dare find it off-putting.

Claims

PERFORMANCE

These pads are amazing! They glide onto my skin without causing any abrasion. It can instantly remove normal eye makeup in just a swipe but would require few more swiping motions to completely remove waterproof ones. So as to avoid tugging my skin, I would normally leave two pads on my eyes for a few seconds (until the solution softens the makeup), and gently swipe them to the sides in one slow movement. You may do it again if your makeup's really playing hard to get.

I like that it's non-greasy and very lightweight on the skin. After using these pads, I notice that my eyes feels squeaky clean but without being stripped off its moisture. In fact, they provide hydration without slippery sheath or sticky residue. They are also very gentle to the eyes and you won't feel any irritation or stinging sensation. This is why these are safe even for those who wear contact lenses.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

Overall, I would say that I am really loving Purederm Soft and Mild Eye Makeup Remover Pads! Just imagine saving up time washing hard-to-remove makeups as you use some affordable but reliable ones from a drugstore brand. No wonder why everyone's raving about this when it can be used by anyone whatever skin type they have. I surely would recommend it if you are short on budget but still want to try something effective and mild on skin. And yes, I would definitely repurchase!

So what do you think of Purederm Soft and Mild Eye Makeup Remover Pads? Have you tried it already? Any thoughts? Good bye for now and happy blogging!
