Leiania House of Beauty Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper Review

Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P130

Everyone's been raving about the popular oil control films from Clean and Clear, Mary Kay, NYX, etc. With all the trends in the organic skin care, it's just so amazing that they can compete with commercial brands and come up with innovative skin care products. I think one of the newest invention is the oil control sheets.

If you can't persevere til the end of this post, yes, I've got a new favorite from Leiania House of Beauty! Ever since I used blotting papers, I just can't resist buying some more. Currently, I have three which I bought from Watsons. When Ms. Favia hosted a giveaway with this absorbent paper as one of the prizes, my eyes gone wide and found myself joining in. Luckily, I won! I have been eyeing this for quite some time (if you have super oily skin, you definitely would) and I'm really delighted to finally get my hands on it!

When opened, you will immediately notice that its reeks of green tea which smells so nice for me. The packaging looks very informative too and unlike other package designs of blotting papers, this one has an easy pull-out packaging. Sometimes, I'm kinda surprise to see that I have pulled two to three sheets of blotting papers and due to tight space, I just can't return the excess back. Good thing, Leiania House of Beauty Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper has this kind of slim package design that singles out sheets. And did I mention that it's super handy?

To be honest, among all other blotting papers I have tried, this has an almost tear-proof paper probably because of the hemp wood pulp (believe me, I have no idea what this is or what it's made of). Most of the oil control sheets I tried before tears apart easily once soaked with oil. I think this absorbent papers from Leiania House of Beauty has thicker pads because every time I use it, I barely consume the whole paper to clear out my face oil. It's just so amazing because with other films, I tend to consume at least two and I would still be in dire need of powder to really mattify my skin and bring back the freshness.

By just simply dabbing it on the wholeness of my face, I would immediately notice how my skin would look as fresh as newly-washed. It also does not move makeup and such. Its oil-controlling power is superb, definitely my most favorite blotting sheet to date. Because of how affordable it is, I would be more than willing to repurchase. Be on sale please! Also, I recommend it to anyone and with its antibacterial formula, you can't get wrong with this!

Have you tried Leiania House of Beauty Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper? What do you think? Please let me know! Happy blogging!

First Impression: Pure Skin Rituals + Products

Snow Flake Brightening and Moisturizing Soap, P150
Midnight Deep Cleansing Clay Mask, P400
Scarlet Rose Rosewater Toner (trial size)
Snow Flake Face Cream SPF45 Intensive Brightening Face Cream, P400

I have been very busy the past few weeks but I can't simply neglect taking care of my skin so I made sure that while I was stressing myself with all the paper works, I was letting my skin breathe and rest from all products that could trigger breakouts. Now, I think I am already up to tweaks in my skin care routine by slowly incorporating these products. I am actually shooting on the clay mask first because it is just for maintenance.

To be honest, I am not really familiar with Pure Skin Rituals before I saw their username flashed on a friend's Instagram account. I got curious and then one day, I unexpectedly received a mail during the time I was revising my thesis. Ohh la la! Another skin care goodies to rave about because they are all natural, vegan and cruelty-free! Aside from this is the set of positive feed backs from true users!

Will all the booming organic shops from all social media platforms, it is really hard to be loyal to one brand. Believe me, I have tons of favorites from different brands but it is just the way it is. And just because a product claims to be organic and is made of only natural ingredients, it does not mean that it suits your skin type. It just feels so good to have alternatives, you know. If something suddenly won't work, at least you've got a few more favorites in line! That is why I can't wait to have another favorites!

Thank you for sending these skin care products, Pure Skin Rituals! Review will be posted after I road-test each! Happy blogging!

November Product Empties

Thank heavens, my thesis mates and I survived the proposal defense! Phew, it was a day I would always remember as I have never felt so terrified in my life the way I was last Wednesday. Anyway, back to blogging...or not so much.

I haven't consumed much products these past few weeks and if I am not mistaken, I already included the lotion and the body scrub on my last month's product empties? Well, I'm quite not sure. Anyway, here goes nothing!

1. Leiania House of Beauty Ultra Moist and Tone Whitening Lotion

This will always be a major favorite! I love the scent and its moisturizing properties! Once I spotted this product on sale, I would surely stock up!

2. Belle Kris Hand and Body Lotion in Youthful Spring

Belle Kris Lotions are now my go-to hand creams. I would love to substitute it to my current lotion because of its scent and lightweight consistency but it has no SPF on it.

3. Skin Lush by Pacey Gluta Body Scrub

I find its scent a little off-putting but it effectively removes dirt on skin and easily buffs away any roughness. It also moisturizes the skin!

4. Celeteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector

Instead of being a spot treatment, I use this as a serum which I apply so thinly on the wholeness of my face to prevent zits from coming. I guess it is really effective because I seldom get breakouts nowadays.

And that's all! Are you into not wasting products? Please let me know. Have a great weekend!

Updated Skin Care Routine (October Onwards)

Hi, guys! Just quickly dropping by. If you happened to read my previous posts, you will know that I suffered from breakouts. It was one of the most terrible breakouts I ever had so I thought that I should give my skin some rest, refrain from constant switching from one skin care routine to another until at least I get rid of them. I am not saying I would take it again for granted but I will be more careful the next time around. Anyway, I am very happy to share with you the products that I am currently using. Though I am so delighted I tried them, it does not mean that I no longer get zits. I still do actually, but this time, they are much smaller and less severe than before.

1. Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser

This facial wash lathers gently on skin but enough to remove oil and dirt on the surface. It stings once accidentally get in the eyes so be careful on that part. This facial wash does not leave skin taut nor dry, however, I still need to double cleanse to really remove deep-seated dirt.

2. Clean and Clear Active Clear Acne Marks Cleanser

This facial wash is what I use to double cleanse. This is very mild, lathers gently without causing any irritation and its formulation is non-drying, therefore perfect for oily skin.

3. St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

This scrub will always be a major favorite. This is definitely super duper effective in buffing away rough areas on skin to reveal soft, smooth, bright and clear skin! Worth your every penny, it is!

4. Eskinol Pimple-Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser

I never believed my friend, Aim and my mom before that this cleanser is really effective but I regret not trying it out the earliest because it is so good and extremely affordable too! I love how this clear away deep-seated dirt and oil without making my skin dry.

5. Celeteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel

This spot-on treatment dries pimples if used religiously. However, I would say that its edge among other drugstore spot treatments would be its non-drying and non-flakiness (if this is a word) formulation and affordability too!

I have been using all these products for more than a month now and so far, so good! I did not include any moisturizer in this routine because it just tends to trigger severe oil buildup. For now, I'm in search for a dependable serum. Feel free to recommend!

Happy blogging!

Loreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Oil Replacement

Loreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Oil Replacement

Say hi to my newly discovered hair care product that does wonders to my hair! Eventually, it became a holy grail for me except I don't have any idea where to repurchase. Thanks to a fellow seller on IG because she was the one who recommended that we do swap and in exchange of my few makeups is her Victoria Secret Fragrance Mist in Amber Romance and this Loreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Oil Replacement which I never expected to love.

Well, let's go back to what pushed me to using this when I hate putting on anything on my hair except a dollop of shampoo everyday, shall we? The truth is, it all rooted to my frequent using of hair dyes that my mane started to become super dry and frizzy which never became a problem before.

One tube has 300ml of products inside and since I got it from swap, I have no idea how much it costs or its availability in the Philippine market. However, I tried searching online and it ranges P400+ a tube. The packaging looks nothing special with the combination of gold and black labeling but I still like it because it is loaded with information and makes dispensing the exact amount easy and effortless. According to Loreal, this is the very first hair treatment with oil on it which does not really make hair greasy nor oily. Sounds intriguing to me at first.

The product has mild scent and very lightweight consistency but not runny though. It looks very white and creamy too. Surprisingly, unlike other hair product, this one yields no silky or creamy feel on the hair once applied rather it just tends to melt on the hair strands after you put it on. According to Loreal, there are three ways on how you apply it on the hair--before, during and after shampoo. I like to follow the 'after shampoo' because I always think that the longer the product stays on the hair, the more beautiful it gets.

I'd like to think of it as a leave-on conditioner rather than conditioners because it does not make my hair limp nor greasy. Once dried, all I can feel is the smoothness and softness of my hair with only a small amount of products used. Because I have short hair, I'm more prone to flyaways but not when I am using this. Sometimes, it looks like it's blow dried even though it is not. It just looks so good with enough shine and manageability other hair care products can't give.

Overall, I love it and would give it a perfect five! I'll be very much willing to repurchase, in fact, I want to repurchase now even though it is not yet half-full. Super and highly recommended! Have you tried it? Any take on it?

Til my next post! Happy blogging!

All About Me: More Than Meets The Eye

I was born one cold night in October 19, 1996 in Manila, Philippines. I got the best of both worlds when I was rewarded with a beautiful family: my diligent dad, Ariel; my ever so strict yet caring mom, Wilma, and my two annoying brothers, Ariel and Ian. The former is the oldest of us three, and the latter, however, is the youngest, making me the middle and only girl child.

My name is Hanna Pauline Biona Nicolas. My parents told me that my name was derived from a character in the Bible by the name of Hannah who had her son named Samuel, only they did not prefer my name to be spelled the same. The Pauline, however, was what they thought as the best name ever by that time, except I always think of Pauline as such a girly and admit it, a cliché name for girls and I really cannot help feeling a little peeved by the idea.

Just like every other child, my very first education was under the guidance of my mother. She thought me how to read and write. Consequently, I started my formal education when I was four-years-old at the Valenzuela Christian School as a kindergarten student. The school is minute in size and student population, but in the same community and under its premises, I have met my first ever friends. Their name was Janselle and Coleen. It was at the same year when I earned the Achiever of The Year Award, my very first honorary award, during the recognition ceremony. I used to remember that my dream to graduate with flying colors started when I had my own taste of success due to hard work. However, this life marathon is still far from the end. There were still a total of freaking eight years to tedious school works before I engage myself to my preferred career in life.

My high school had a lot of fun although I can’t get to hang out with friends, for example, at the mall or anywhere they want because my parents won’t allow me yet. Sometimes, I think their own discipline measures were a far cry from others. However, I enjoyed my high school life and live it to the fullest by being active on social organizations, participating in different oral delivery speeches, joining contests and even undergoing rigorous training through being an officer in our school’s Citizenship Advancement Training or known as CAT. I also engage myself in our school’s different organizations like Filipino, English, Math and Science Clubs, Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Performing Artists for Christ in which we train lower-yeared students for leadership and other skill enhancement workshops. I also joined our basketball and table tennis varsity teams as we compete with other schools along Valenzuela for pride and glory.

Time really flies so swiftly. But if, for one second, you think I was already loaded with confidence or it being secured, you’re thinking wrong. I was still me who feels like I am never going to get out of my comfort zone. It was at that time when I was near to being a college student. Where should I study? Where should I take an entrance exam? What could be the perfect degree for me? Would I acquire some friends in college? Would I be able to adjust? Would I be able to do this? I must admit, I find it hard adjusting to a new world, to a new community where you know no one. I was used to small places where I know and I’m friends with only just a few people. Imagine, I stayed in the same school for twelve years, which gained me the loyalty award, and all of a sudden, I got to face a whole lot different world. It was hard though but thanks to my newly-found friends.

A very famous saying of David Frost says, “Don’t aim for success if you want it, just do what you love and believe in and it will come naturally.” Before I graduated from high school, when I still haven’t made up my mind, what to pursue in college was something that led me to so much confusion and indecisiveness. My life decisions, during those times, were tested as I entered another chapter of my life when I really needed to break the shells that hid me from the outside world. When people ask me what I opted to be, I always consciously reply, “Anything, as long as I will get to be the boss.” And then, I will ask myself silently, “What do I really want?” Thanks to David Frost, I already have the idea in my mind.

Flashback to the days when I was still a child, the first profession I thought I would pursue was definitely not something that would cost us an arm and a leg. A few years later, I told myself that I will be taking up nursing since that was what I think my heart desires. My mom countered that I can’t even look at blood. And I realized that maybe, just maybe it really wasn’t for me. My dad’s opinion matters a lot, he only needed to be a saint and I will worship him. With my confusion and curiosity that keeps on killing me, I asked my dad, “How about a dentist, Dad? So we can be of the same profession?” He did answer me with the most touching words only he can provide. It was not just a yes or no. It was an advice to follow not what I need to be, but rather, what I want to be.

I still remember that it was few weeks before graduation and I was asked to produce a speech for the commencement exercise. I was looking for quotations to put up in my speech, when suddenly the quotation aforementioned caught my eyes. And from that moment, I knew, I wanted to write. I wanted to express. I wanted to inspire. I was never a professional when it comes to writing, but that ‘what you love’ phrase, I know deep within, pertains to writing, and I can say that that was why I took up Mass Communication. I can’t stand living with regrets once or if I barked up the wrong tree. The reason why I’m saying this is that, sometimes, you just need someone to look up to or someone to serve as your inspiration to not just push you to move forward, but to move forward with a goal at hand. It was at that moment when I realized that sometimes, it pays not to worry so much about where I rank, but rather, I should think about the joy I get with what I do. Settling with my passion, injecting enthusiasm to whatever I do, soon, it will never be impossible to achieve success.

As of the moment, I am still striving forward and aiming towards a bright future for me and my family. All I am thinking is the importance of knowing my limitations, my capabilities, and my passion so I will have my directions to follow. I do hope you could do the same. Don’t forget those who have fought with you on your battles because whether you like it or not, a significant character can’t simply be gone on the next chapters of your book.

Current Go-To Fragrances

Good evening, everyone! Apparently, my first day in class was supposed to be last November 03 but my professor was not able to come that day. Friday was a free day so there's only Saturday to mark the beginning of my second semester a.k.a last semester a.k.a semester before I graduate a.k.a hell semester. Whoops. To be honest, I'm kinda scared for these last few months because of the final thesis, defenses for screenings and other outputs. To refresh and get stress off of my mind, I tried including three fragrances which I like using the past few days. The scents are like stress-relievers!

I only got the Victoria Secret Fragrance Mist in Amber Romance during a swap with a fellow seller. I was really willing to trade anything for it because it's a favorite scent of mine. I remember my mom bought me this perfume and a counterpart lotion before and the scent was so heavenly--I could not forget about it. Not to mention how long-lasting VS fragrances are!

On the other hand, the Luxe Parfum in Coachella Night has a citrusy scent which is, it's kinda weird, but I like spraying it on my handkerchief during a commute where I stuff it on my nose to filter any polluting scents. The Penshoppe Pocket Scents Mia Body Spray has a note of sweetness and citrus scent which I would like to sport during lazy days just to freshen up a bit.

So these three are my go-to scent slash favorite fragrances as of the moment. Care to share yours? Happy blogging!

Celeteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel Review

Celeteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel
Bought from: Beautymnl
Bought for: P169

Claims: A targeted treatment that dries up pimples overnight (80% reduction of comedones on the face on the 7th day of usage); Has Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) and Poly Hydroxy Acid (PHA) that aid in exfoliating dead skin cells and diminishing pimples; contains Lilac Leaf Cell Culture Extract that reduces oil to prevent breakouts

A freezing afternoon, everyone! This is the best time to squeeze ourselves back to beds and cuddle with pillows, right? I was kinda tempted but I know I had to blog lol. This time I'll be sharing my thoughts on Celeteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel.

The first time I went to a facial, my experience were really great. It even became greater when I started to use their facial set for acne-prone skin. It was the best period my skin has ever had. I am not blessed with pimple-free face but the world is like a wheel and at that moment, I was at the peak--I never get breakouts, my skin were significantly clearer and brighter, my dark acne spots were fading, Just as I thought my skin would never come back to what it was, everything changes when I started to change my routine. It was like using a series of 'products which work' and 'which does not work' equals terrible breakouts. Now, I'm finding it hard to regain the skin I once had. This led me to the search for holy grail products that aim to target acne breakouts. I came across a famous vlogger and she raves about this and so I thought my skin is not getting even better so what else to lose if I try, right?

I was quite disappointed with the size of the product when it came to my doorstep. The tube was so tiny with only 5 ml of product inside, though it's my fault I did not check it out first when I bought it online. I was thinking until when this would last me. Well, with the frequency of the popping zits I'm having, not a month. But then I realized that a teeny tiny amount is enough to cover zits. Size matters still though. However, the container is super travel-friendly, it can even fit pockets. ;)

I am really sorry I did not bother taking a picture of the squeezed product because I do not want to waste it huhu. Anyway, the liquid is pearly white in shade and is not too runny nor sticky in consistency. When applied on skin, it imparts a super refreshing/cooling effect which can instantly soothe zits especially those painful ones. Being a spot on treatment, I know that I must only intend to use it literally on my pimples but I like spreading it on my skin for added protection and to prevent future breakouts.

Application is twice a day after toning my face. I like to spread it on parts where I usually have breakouts-- forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, basically on the whole face lol--and even consider it as a light moisturizer for my oily skin. Though it claims to control sebum production, I still get super shiny all the time.

I like that this spot on treatment is hydrating without the sticky feeling. It is also effective in reducing the size of the breakouts overnight however, it would usually took me weeks before the bump really subside. I expect it to lighten marks as quickly as possible or prevent marks but no to avail. Unlike other spot on treatments which make skin flaky and dry, this one caused no peeling on areas around zits, all it ever do was slowly but surely reduce the size of a breakout.

Overall, I like Celeteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel but I would still prefer those that tame breakouts faster than this product could. On the other hand, I tried convincing myself that for its super affordable price, I can't really demand too much. So if you are really willing to wait for all your pimples to dry, this could do you great but if you are too impatient, I suggest you look for other heavy duty creams which probably meant spending more.

Have you tried this product? What do you think of it? Any spot on treatments to recommend?

Happy blogging!

Clean and Clear Active Clear Acne Marks Cleanser Review

Clean and Clear Active Clear Acne Marks Cleanser
Bought from: Watsons, SM Manila
Bought for: P100+

Claims: It goes beyond ordinary cleansing to quickly help clear acne and its marks. The unique formula combines powerful anti-acne and anti-bacterial ingredients to help eliminate acne at the source. A powerful new solution that fights acne and fades acne marks without over drying skin.

With the numerous good feed backs about Clean and Clear Facial Washes, who am I to ignore the hype, right? I know, it's all about my zit story that is why I tried to be vigilant in whatever I put on my face starting the moment I cursed myself for taking my skin for granted, hence, the breakouts.

By the way, here's the ingredients list. It's a good thing it lacks parabens! Using organic products made me used to safe, cruelty-free and non-paraben products already so it's really nice to know that somehow, this cleanser is free of that harmful ingredient. They may come in small quantity so maybe we should start not to worry.

The product comes in a gray and blue tube and you know me, I like those since they are so easy to put on pouches and are good containers for easy product dispensing. There are enough basic information like, description, ingredients and expiration date printed on the body too so overall, I would give the packaging a perfect 10.

This product has a mild scent to it and does not lather richly. That's a good thing because I have learned that soaps which suds richly tends to be more drying on the skin. The liquid inside is pearly white in color with very (as in very) little amount of purple micro beads.

This product does not really brighten up my skin but I'm really glad that this was able to soothe my pimples and prevent tiny bumps from proceeding to acne. Using it for two weeks with my Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser, I noticed that my skin turned less itchy and there was significant reduction of the red patches on my skin. I totally did not experience any irritation nor immediate adverse reaction upon switching from my previous soap to this one.

Right now, I plan on keeping this with me. However, I'm still on the lookout for a facial cleanser that will effectively reduce sebum production. If you know one, please, please, please, let me know, okay? Anyway, I think I would still recommend this for all girls and guys out there who are looking for affordable cleansers that will not break them out and would not cause them any side effects.

Have you tried Clean and Clear Active Clear Acne Marks Cleanser? What do you think of it?

Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser Review

Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser
Bought from: Watsons, SM Manila
Bought for: P50+

Claims: Removes deep-seated dirt, excess oil, and makeup with micro-cleanse anti-bacterial formula; dries up pimples in as early as 3 days with dermaclear formula which contains Salicylic Acid and Tea Tree Extracts; with Vitamin B3 and Chamomile Extract to lighten pimple marks and help soothe redness.

Ingredients: Water, Alcohol Denat, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Salicylic Acid, Perfume, Dimethyl Phenyl Butanol, Menthol, Niacinamide, Matricaria Recutita (Chamomile) Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia Oil

Because I believe that soap is not enough, I bought Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser the last time I went to Watson. Right now, I am using it after I wash my face clean with Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser and Clean and Clear Active Clear Acne Marks Cleanser to soothe my terrible zits.

I know that Eskinol Cleansers are probably one of the classic cleansers that every women are still obsessed with. Truth be told, my mom was using the papaya variant when she was younger and she was the one who insisted to stick with this because according to her, she is a living testimony of how effective this product was and is. I believe my mom, can you tell?

Squeezing just a few amount on a cotton swab is enough to remove deep-seated dirt on the skin. If you know me, I like to double cleanse my skin, scrub it and use this cleanser and I would still be surprise to see that there are still indeed dirt and excess oil on my skin. The refreshing scent and effect are useful as well in relaxing tired skin. However, I advise you to never apply to much on a cotton ball because you probably would not handle the strong scent of alcohol. Good thing, this product dries easily on the skin and leaves it feeling super soft, smooth clean and clear without the dryness alcohol can give. Right now, I prefer not using any moisturizer after toner except my spot-on treatment because the product is already hydrating for me.

This product claims to dry up pimples in as fast as three days. That's crazy. I know that when I read it before that that is too good to be true. Using it for a span of two weeks, I can say that I was right as even my tiniest bump had barely shrink in size even I incorporate it in my skin care routine twice a day. I don't think it's about the size of the zit but the amount and concentration of Salicylic Acid in there. I have tried lots of products with Salicylic before and most of them worked well in eliminating my pimples in a flash. Surprisingly, this one does not. Still, I would want to keep this is my stash because it's a saver especially if I want my skin squeaky clean without the need of heavy duty moisturizer.

Have you tried Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser? What's your take on it?

Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser Review

Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser
Bought from: Beautymnl
Bought for: P142

Claims: Hypoallergenic cleanser for clearer skin; gently cleanses with a glycerin-rich formula; thoroughly removes dirt, and oil to keep skin clear and healthy; safe for sensitive skin; fragrance-free, oil-free, non-comedogenic

I have been hearing a lot of good stuff about Neutrogena prolly what made me get this during my recent mini shopping at Beautymnl. I was supposed to buy the one that lathers into foam, which is intended for those who have problematic skin, but then I had terrible cases with foam cleansers back then so I settled on glycerin-based liquid facial cleanser like this as it claims to be "for all skin type especially for sensitive and acne-prone skin with its gentle formula."

Do you know what triggered my sudden skin care product buying? It was weeks ago when changing skin care routine from time to time caused my skin inevitable troubles mostly zits, whiteheads, uneven skin tone and redness. I cursed myself for taking my skin for granted, ignoring everything until it looks like a ball of mess. I kept using another set, another soap even if my breakouts hasn't cleared out yet. Because of that, I earned a lesson which is just because you were sent products for testing does not mean you tolerate them ruining your skin. Make it breathe every once in a while, stick to simple routine and feeding it with a whole plethora of skin care products would not help it get better. For short, wag matigas ulo, mga kids.

For me the packaging is nice as it's really travel-friendly and comes in a tube-type container so the product does not get stuck on the bottom--that would be waste. It also displays basic information like description and ingredients.

Once dispensed, the first thing I notice about it is the scent which I kind of dislike but to the point that its awfully unbearable. The consistency of the formula is a bit runny compared to gels and despite it being gentle on skin, it lathers nicely (except on really dirty skin with mixture of makeup, oils, dust and dirt) and does not really feel drying on the skin. However, unlike some other cleanser, this does not make my skin look clearer and brighter after wash though it had never felt so moisturized and clean. Using this cleanser along with my other cleanser from Clean and Clear, do not completely clear out all my existing pimples, yet fortunately, they are able to soothe my skin and prevent future breakouts. Once I had terrible huge zits, now they have turned smaller and if I get pimples every now and then while using them, I would only get two or three tiny ones which are not something my current spot-on treatment could address.

For now after using this cleanser for two weeks, I still can't really testify its effectiveness in terms of its power in reducing pimples as I'm using other products too. I can't say I'm loving it already but I know it will be. I would gladly say that it did not make my skin condition worse. Until all my breakouts subside, I would visit a salon, have a facial and extraction, then I'm going back to my Biossence Acnetrol Set while slowly incorporating other stuff every now and then. I will be taking this new buddy with me in my to-be skin care routine because of its gentleness/mild formulation. And since it does not have any major cons for me (aside from slow-paced effects), I think this is a good buy considering how affordable a tube is with its generous amount!

Have you tried Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser? What's your take on it?

Witch's Pouch Foundation with SPF 30 PA++ in Shade Natural Beige Review

Witch's Pouch Foundation with SPF 30 PA++, 40ml
Bought from: Althea Philippines
Bought for: P490 (Discounted)

I just received an e-mail invitation for a book launch and it really saddened me that school will happen so there's a bigger chance I may not be able to come. I was ecstatic of course because it would be my first time being invited to a book launch but I know school first. If it's meant to be, I believe it will be, thus if I'm meant to come, I'll be there. Lol. I could use up some of your positive vibes, you know? Anyway, to make my mood a little lighter, I will just share to you my thoughts about Witch's Pouch Foundation with SPF 30 PA++ in Shade Natural Beige.

The product comes in a very unusual type of packaging for foundations but I think the combination of matte black and transparent body, where you can easily peek through the true shade of the foundation, is super cute! Is it just me or everyone's thinking of those foundation in glass pump bottles and tubes? Well, I realized that in my attempt to notice the packaging, I forgot that it's not as if I have tried or own a lot of foundation lol. Anyway, the body of the container does not really help enlighten me with the benefits of this product with all those Korean words. But lo and behold! The box's description are written in English! Whoo, I very seldom encounter Korean products with English description (well, again, it's not as if I have own a lot) so this is a first. The pump is very helpful though especially in controlling the amount to be dispensed.

I also did not forget to include the ingredient lists and claims which you can read down below. I know you want it. ;)

The shade that I got is in No. 21 or Natural Beige, which is the lightest shade for Korean BB Creams and Foundations. Well, we are all aware that most of their products have light shades because Koreans have naturally fair skin. However, I picked the wrong shade for me. I know it may seem too ambitious of me to put this on cart with my tanned skin but I swear, I did not intend to. I was supposed to get the darker shade which is 23 but before I know it, I already placed the order and paid for it. I just realized that I picked more wrong foundation shades than right ones in my entire life. Either I do not know how to pick the right shade for me or the pictures online showing swatches are kind of deceiving. Well, I think both! Sorry about that guys. I have been wanting to level up my makeup skills and I hope I really get there. Lol.

The product consistency is really creamy, with a strong peachy pink undertone and a bit thick for my liking. Also, it is strongly scented like perfume but it's not something that really bothers me. In fact, loving it is an understatement.

On the back of my hand, the shade fits really well but I do have lighter skin in there so that is what I used for my swatch. I find that the product is a lot easier to blend with a sponge than with fingers or brushes, however, whatever I use with it, the product seem to look 'unfit'. Was it the shade? Or the white cast it gives? I have no idea. The good thing is that I could easily layer a tone darker powder foundation to set everything in. However, as I perspire (I do perspire on my face especially, on the areas around my mouth, nose and forehead), I notice that this foundation cakes on my creases. It does not look good, really. Twice I used it? I have to wash my whole face and remove my makeup because of the foundation fails.

Also, I do not recommend it for those with oily skin as it leaves a dewy finish on skin that will turn like an oil slick for a few hours especially if you sweat a lot or having super oily t-zone. On the other hand, I see this as a foundation fit for those with dry and sensitive skin with a very light coverage.

This product has a whooping SPF 30 so I really understand the white cast. However, I have tried a few with high sun protection without yielding the same effect. I think I would stick with those. I am not giving up on this though and I am still looking forward to try the shade in No. 23 just to be sure. I'll update you til then! I like the Witch Pouch Color Corrector (review soon) so I could use the combination one day.

Happy halloween!
