Leiania House of Beauty Haul: Everything-At-100-Peso Sale

Last week, Leiania House of Beauty hosted an online sale where almost everything dropped to P100. If you have been a subscriber since day one, you definitely know that Ms. Favia was among the very first organic brand owner who trusted me with providing honest reviews for her products.

Aside from the brand's Face Absorbent Paper, the Ultra Moist and Tone Whitening Lotion has been a top pick and I have lost track how many times I have repurchased. I cannot even tell which one is closer to my heart because they are both efficient on their own. I just stopped buying unmistakably last year because I realized it's too much expensive for a body lotion and I had a lot in my plate. Sale season like this is just the perfect time to stock up!

These lotions are really good. It's made of organic actives and natural ingredients so you know what is being absorbed by your skin is healthy and pure. Originally, one 350ml tub retails for P600. So that's like saving P1500 for 3!

Because I haven't tried these two products yet (new to the LHOF skincare collection), I also bought a salve that I intend to apply on my extremely dry hands and feet. Let's see if this is something that does what it's supposed to. Originally priced more than P780 in Beautymnl, again, I got this for just P100. Anyone heard of a better deal?

I just recently bought the face mist trend which is why I got this Vit ACE Anti-Ageing Mist. I am now 21 and it has to be the beginning of a woman having to use anti-aging products to avoid premature aging. Owning a new facial mist is cool, but the Vitamins A, C, and E infusion is way more interesting.

I hope LHOB could host a sale like this one more time and I'm sure to purchase more!

💕💕💕

Leiania House of Beauty Lamiaceae (Family of Mint) Organic Mouth Freshener Review

Lamiaceae (Family of Mint) Organic Mouth Freshener, 100ml
Bought for: Free | Original Retail Price: P250
From: Leiania House of Beauty

Claim: (as per Beautymnl) A handy mouth spray for instantly fresh breath. Formulated with an organic blend of sage, thyme, and parsley; delivers an immediate burst of freshness; helps provide dry mouth relief; won’t sting; enriched with olive leaf extract containing anti-bacterial compounds to help fight germs which cause odors and tooth decay. Perfect for on-the-go relief from bad breath.

Sometimes, no matter how heavy duty our toothpastes or mouth washes are, we could still be in need of a good mouth freshener during unexpected moments like sudden dates with boyfie, friends, or even during instantaneous business meetings. Of course, you don't want to gross them out and all you need are quick sprays to save the day. Other times, using mouth fresheners are more than that. They have anti-bacterial properties that can also alleviate signs of aging teeth like tooth decay and gum problems.

Leiania House of Beauty is a one-stop shop for organic and natural beauty, skincare and makeup products. They have truly expanded and from the makers of beauty soaps and cruelty-free makeups, they are now producing a line for oral hygiene. Proof? Here comes the Lamiaceae (Family of Mint) Organic Mouth Freshener. Phew, Lamiaceae is such a hard word!

Leiania House of Beauty Lamiaceae Organic Mouth Freshener comes in a spray bottle but 4-5 times larger in size and content than other drugstore mouth sprays. It will probably lasts me a couple of months. It also has proper labeling--description, claims, ingredients, proof of authenticity and manufacturing and expiry dates written on the sticker. Given that it's almost the size of a 100ml cologne, I doubt I will be encouraged to bring it while I'm off to somewhere.

This product has organic blends of tried and tested herbs like Aloe Vera, Peppermint, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme Extracts, Grapefruit Seed, Olive Leaf, etc. all are known for their anti-bacterial and cleansing properties.

To be honest, I don't like the tang of this mouth freshener even though it claims to not sting or is alcohol-free. It tastes literally like mint mixed with different extracts of herbs which is so sickening to me. I had two of my friends try it and they are fine with this product so maybe it's just me who seems so picky. Hence, if you are particular to the tastes of oral care products, you might find this a bit disgusting. Among Leiania House of Beauty products, this seems to be at the least of my favorites. Yes, it does freshen breath and gets rid of odor with two-three pumps but my taste buds can't really tolerate the aftertaste. It goes away after a few minutes, but still.

This product is available on Leiania House of Beauty Instagram and Shopee accounts as well as on Beautymnl for only P250. Please do let me know if you decided to purchase! Happy blogging!

Leiania House of Beauty Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper Review

Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P130

Everyone's been raving about the popular oil control films from Clean and Clear, Mary Kay, NYX, etc. With all the trends in the organic skin care, it's just so amazing that they can compete with commercial brands and come up with innovative skin care products. I think one of the newest invention is the oil control sheets.

If you can't persevere til the end of this post, yes, I've got a new favorite from Leiania House of Beauty! Ever since I used blotting papers, I just can't resist buying some more. Currently, I have three which I bought from Watsons. When Ms. Favia hosted a giveaway with this absorbent paper as one of the prizes, my eyes gone wide and found myself joining in. Luckily, I won! I have been eyeing this for quite some time (if you have super oily skin, you definitely would) and I'm really delighted to finally get my hands on it!

When opened, you will immediately notice that its reeks of green tea which smells so nice for me. The packaging looks very informative too and unlike other package designs of blotting papers, this one has an easy pull-out packaging. Sometimes, I'm kinda surprise to see that I have pulled two to three sheets of blotting papers and due to tight space, I just can't return the excess back. Good thing, Leiania House of Beauty Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper has this kind of slim package design that singles out sheets. And did I mention that it's super handy?

To be honest, among all other blotting papers I have tried, this has an almost tear-proof paper probably because of the hemp wood pulp (believe me, I have no idea what this is or what it's made of). Most of the oil control sheets I tried before tears apart easily once soaked with oil. I think this absorbent papers from Leiania House of Beauty has thicker pads because every time I use it, I barely consume the whole paper to clear out my face oil. It's just so amazing because with other films, I tend to consume at least two and I would still be in dire need of powder to really mattify my skin and bring back the freshness.

By just simply dabbing it on the wholeness of my face, I would immediately notice how my skin would look as fresh as newly-washed. It also does not move makeup and such. Its oil-controlling power is superb, definitely my most favorite blotting sheet to date. Because of how affordable it is, I would be more than willing to repurchase. Be on sale please! Also, I recommend it to anyone and with its antibacterial formula, you can't get wrong with this!

Have you tried Leiania House of Beauty Tea Fresh Organic Green Tea Natural Plant Extract Face Absorbent Paper? What do you think? Please let me know! Happy blogging!

Here's a review on Leiania House of Beauty Kiwi and Tea Tree Green Clay Bar which my mom and I are currently obsessing with. Okay, it's not as if I have tried a lot of soaps in the market, but I had an inference that this would really do me good prior to usage.

Lemme see the hands of organic lovers out there! If you want to unbend from using products with harsh chemicals, here's a solution for you--a product that is cruelty-free and only are composed of plant-derived ingredients. You really can't doubt Ms. Favia's products in terms of safety in formula. Moreover, this product is not only loaded with nutrients but with information too--something that will be very much appreciated by those who are very particular with complete product labeling. And look! The packaging even has stickers with manufacturing and expiry dates printed on it as well as some proof of authentication and other information.

As you can see, the bar itself looks sooooo cute with specs of Tea Tree Leaf Powder (thanks to the ingredient list!) which also acts as mild exfoliators. Since it is a two-toned bar, I kind of think that maybe the lighterand the darker side have different purposes. I'll leave it to you though. Anyway, let's talk about it as a whole lol.

The product when wet with water suds very gently. When you hold it in your palms, there seems to be a creamy feeling on the soap which I find really nice because drugstore soaps has all that same hard texture if that makes sense. The soap's texture is uber soft, thus, melts easily. It's kinda exaggerated on that part because in our case, wetting it once would already make the bar mushy. After few more days, it would be like scooping melted cream on top of soap dish. Swear! Good thing, I was used to splitting up soaps in smaller bars.

The scent could be a little overpowering for scent sensitives out there because it's reeking of Kiwi (if that is really Kiwi) which is very similar to LHOB Primea Beauty Kit with Kiwi as its main ingredient.

What I like about it is that it does not cause my skin any adverse reaction like breakouts or any kind of irritation. However, it does not really cure my current pimples too, nor provided significant results like making my skin more even toned. It also did not reduce the appearance of my pimple marks or control sebum production as it claims even after finishing the bar. On a lighter note, my mom who has an even more beautiful skin (and who fortunately was blessed with pimple-less face during her teenage years) was really ecstatic because it is the only soap that I have tried which works on her too. She, in fact, exclaimed that it makes her skin super soft and smooth and that she is really hiyang to the product. I believe my mom, of course, because she does not favor me changing soaps every now and then, yet she approved of this.

Overall, I like this soap for its gentleness, safety and exfoliation factor. If I am to repurchase, I would for my mom but for personal use? I'm having second thoughts not because this does not work satisfyingly for me but because I am still up for new discoveries. However, I do recommend it to anyone whichever skin type you have because this soap is really gentle. Anyway, if you have further question about this product, please leave a comment down below or you can simple visit Leiania House of Beauty on their following accounts: Instagram, Website, Blog, Facebook.

See you on my next post! Happy blogging!

Leiania House of Beauty Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream Review

Leiania House of Beauty Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream
Bought for: Free | Original Price: to be updated

Claims: Packed with nature's best kept secret, Moroccan Argan Oil, a powerful antioxidant rich in Vitamin E and Collagen that increases the skin's flexibility and strength. It restores moisture and provide a barrier around the eye to help diminish wrinkle. Added with the potency of Bearberry Beta Arbutin for an all natural spot eye treatment, blemishes and bags under the eye. Glow and be radiant!

Hey, guys! I know I just turned 20 last October 19 but I guess it wasn't an excuse to take eye creams for granted if they aimed at preventing wrinkles primarily. I have no idea if my skin are threatened with wrinkles already but I pretty much don't care. Again, it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't know if I should use any anti-aging products knowing that I'm just 20 but it's pass teenage years already so yeah, I don't think it will do me bad either. Truth be told, I waited for months so I can be able to use Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream which was sent to me by Ms. Favia of Leiania House of Beauty. Without further ado, here's my thoughts about it!

Since I am a lover of anything naturally and organically-made skin care products, I was really excited to try this for myself. Aside from it being full-packed with nutrients and healthy ingredients, it is also free of harmful chemicals (like parabens) that are not good for the skin and body. By the way, I already put copied the caption above for those of you who are having trouble reading the description on the photo. Yeeha! Anyway, before we proceed, let me just share to you the skin benefits of Bearberry and Argan Oil--the key ingredients of this product.

According to healwithfood.org, "Bearberry foliage, the part of the Arctostaphylos uva-ursi plant that is most commonly used in cosmetic formulations, has been shown to effectively scavenge free radicals, unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin...bearberry leaf extract had even stronger free radical scavenging (i.e. antioxidant) properties than extracts made from wild licorice (Glycyrrhiza lepidota), senega (Polygala senega), narrow-leaved echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia), and aerial parts of two varieties of horsetail (Equisetum spp.)...the polyphenolic compounds found in bearberry leaves appeared to be responsible, at least in part, for bearberry extract's antioxidant capacity...turns out, the leaves of the Common Bearberry also contain arbutin, a natural compound that has been shown to inactivate tyrosinase, an enzyme that is responsible for skin pigmentation.

While according to arganoilworld.com.au, "Argan oil is most commonly used as a skin moisturizer to hydrate and soften skin. With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, Argan Oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy and non-irritating, which makes it a great natural moisturizer.

I actually like the packaging, it looks very...effective lol. It's house in a transparent plastic tub which has been a fail because of the surrounding stickers and the opaque white inner plastic. Sayang, I thought I could peek through the inside without opening it. Anyway, it is funny how packaging appeals to me like this nowadays huh. But no, seriously, I so appreciate it even though it is bombarded with too many information. There are really times when I wanted to spend time reading the claims and ingredients lists over and over again. Is that weird? 'Cause that always happens to me. Anyway, my point here is, I'd rather be bombarded with information than nothing at all. Complete labeling--description, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates? Check!

When opened, it actually has an inner lead which I already removed so you don't see it on the photo above. If you can make it out, you will see that the product has an off-white, thick and creamy consistency which melts on the skin upon application. It even has a cooling effect for the first few seconds which I really love because it instantly refreshes tired eyes. I pretty much rely on it every stressful night--which unfortunately, is every day. The scent is bearable too. The first time I smell it, I like it already because I am a fan of minty-scent products though there was not any mint on the ingredients? What could trigger the refreshing scent therefore huh?

Since product has a slightly thick consistency, it tends to be a bit oily on the skin that is why I stopped using it for my face although it says on the claims that it can be ideal for face use. Breakouts had been another problem. Since I have never been fond of using oils for my skin, because most of the time, they tend to cause me breakouts, I decided to stop so the zits will also stop from popping out of nowhere. It works though. The number and sizes of pimples reduces after the termination. I guess this product, due to thick consistency, tends to have comedogenic formula. With that, I do not recommend it for face use for those with oily skin type.

So I gave up and decided to just keep the application limited to eye area and since then, I have been loving how it imparts cooling effect on my bags and how I managed to wake up like I had full eight hours of sleep. Also, continuous use reduces the darkness around my eyes.

I guess, aside from it causing me to breakout, there's no other downside which I happen to discover from it. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised how it works its wonder on the area around my eyes. I just have to keep in mind never to let it slip the barricade to areas out of my eye zone and it will be a nice night company.

That's it! If you have other questions, feel free to visit Leiania House of Beauty on their Website, Blogsite, Facebook and Instagram account! Happy blogging!

Leiania House of Beauty Wild Herb Argan Skin Peel and Green Actives Review

Leiania House of Beauty Wild Herb Argan Skin Peel and Green Actives
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P600+
From: Leiania House of Beauty

Exfoliation through peeling is the most effective way to remove troubled layer. When you allow your skin to peel, a fresher layer will peak through. However, you shall not use it often as frequent usage may result to unwanted outcomes like thinning of skin, changes in skin color or hyper pigmentation, sensitivity to sun, and excessive skin drying. On the other hand, using it properly under correct duration (one month exfoliation, one month healing), directions and precautions, will yield favorable results.

One of the advocates for safe skin care is the Leiania House of Beauty and because they are generous enough to send me samples of their products, I would like to thank them for sending me these Herbal Peel and . Being a supporter of products which are composed of organic and natural ingredients (I'm in fact slowly tweaking my routine to cruel-free skin care products), it is a pleasure to be one of those few bloggers to be entrusted to review these. For that, thanks Ms. Favia!

In terms of packaging, the complete labeling of the products from description to directions and ingredients is intelligent as consumers will have something to rely on for information. By the way, for your own convenience, may I present to you the list of ingredients and directions in using this product.
So why is Leiania House of Beauty proud of their products? If you can just see, most of the ingredients are they plant-derived, organic-infused, cruel-free, safe and free from harmful chemicals. Go na kayo mga bes, bili na!

Kidding aside, this duo is a champion. Aside from gushing about how healthy these products are, I would also want to be a living testimony as to how these change my perception when it comes to skin peeling. I have tried Maxipeel before, it was so good but eventually, your once troubled skin will come back after a few weeks. That being said, I know we all want something that would give us permanent great results without the abominable side effects. Using these duo as compared to Maxipeel, I could say that this one is less effective in giving the skin that whiter and fresher glow. However, the procedure is harsher, peeling, redness and drying are more excessive to the point that I would not want to show my face to anyone anymore. Leiania House of Beauty, on the other hand, caused no redness nor post-pain effects. Compared to other products, this one has gentler formula as experienced.

The directions actually seems blurry to me because one use according to it will already make my skin peel. I did not experience the same thing on first use though. However, your face will feel taut afterwards so moisturizer is a must. Doing the same thing the next day makes no significant effects as well except excessive drying and super slight hint of redness. Again, please put on moisturizer and a lot of sunscreen. After another day of use, I stopped and the next days you would see micropeeling effect, removing all those dead skin cells revealing a smoother and brighter complexion underneath. In my case, I noticed the peeling unstoppable for 3-5 days. I think every pain is worth it. Para gumanda minsan, magtiis ka. Lol.

As you can see, it has an oil-like consistency with those tiny grains which I believe helps in exfoliating the skin. Combining it with the powdered herbs makes it more ideal for scrubbing. So you sort of scrub and exfoliate with this. The unique thing about these products is that they sort of work like masks which you only need to mix (oil and powder) then apply on your face. Next thing is allowing the mixture to be absorbed by the skin depends on your pain tolerance. In my case, I can withstand it for as long as the stinging sensation subsides. Just be careful applying it on the most sensitive parts of your face like eyes, corners of your nose and mouth because it could hurt like hell.

Overall, I like this. Drying and redness would stop after the peeling. Again, you will need sunscreen! I highly recommend this duo to anyone becuse it has a gentler formula than other exfoliating solutions that I have tried. It could be a bit pricey but it's worth it. By the way, just got home from two days stay in San Miguel, Bulacan for our documentary. I had to type this review during our travel. Kayod mga beks!  Til my next post. Happy blogging!

Leiania House of Beauty Micellar Eau de Fleur

Leiania House of Beauty Micellar Eau de Fleur, 100ml
Price: P600

Claims: 100% natural, 98% Organic and Ecocert Cleansing & toning organic flower water. Now you can cleanse your face without soap, carry them anywhere, be hydrated and moisturized with a fresh and clean feel. A very gentle and cleansing blend of healing herbs and plants. It is pH balanced to enhance your skin's natural acid mantle and protect its moisture barrier for clean and silky-soft skin. Removes dirt, oils,  makeup and dead skin with no harsh detergents, leaving your skin clean, nourishes, soft and a PLUS--it's pore minimizing and antiseptic for a clear complexion.

Ingredients: Flower Hydrosols of French Lavender, Hyssop, Burdock Root, Calendula Flower, Great Plantain, Rosemary Fresh Aloe Vera Extracts, Aqua, Lactobacilis Ferment, Olive Oil Esters, French Lavender Extracts, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Gluconolatone (and) Sodium Benzoate, Coconut Sugar Ester

You might never appreciate the use of makeup remover until you experience breakouts. Why do you need to learn it the hard way when you can start right on the spot? Yes, I take makeup removers for granted before, making them not part of my beauty essentials even when I started to collect makeups. When I asked myself why, I just kept on arguing saying, "what's the point when I can just wash my face?" Little did I know that there still could be deep-seated dirt or makeup residues that even tough facial washes could not remove.

The point is, there has been a noticeable reduction in the number of breakouts that I get every month when I started to learn to incorporate makeup removers on my skin care routine. Now, I just can't live without it.

The product is housed in a sexy plastic bottle with an easy-open cover which impart some sexy vibe on it. Is it just me? Lol!

All of the claims were true, at least for me. I don't know what to say, I just love this makeup remover! It is very gentle on skin and very effective in removing makeup residues. I sometimes alternate it with my toner because it cleanses better. It keeps pimples and acne at bay too--neither triggering nor exacerbating them. It smells okay too--very refreshing without the pungent smell of chemicals.

Another thing I love about it is how a little of the product goes a long way already. It makes skin looks clearer, fresher and more moisturized even without washing the face. That's actually another perk of depending on makeup removers. They save you time from washing and toning up your skin especially on days when you are really tired and just wanted to lie down.

Basic Uses of Castor Oil ft. Leiania House of Beauty Pure Castor Oil

Pure Castor Oil Eyelash and Eyebrow Grower and Thickener, 15ml
 Bought for: Free/ Price: P250

According to Leiania House of Beauty, having long lashes and lovely eyebrows are sexy. Do you agree? I mean it's not like something that is unknown to the most of us. While we have these mascaras and eyebrow palettes ready for grabs to achieve glamorous eyes, it is still important to really take care of these precious hairs for that naturally long lashes and gorgeous brows.

If you are a beauty junkie like me, you've probably heard what Castor Oil is and what it is for. If not, then I tell you, you are missing a simple traditional beauty remedy that's cheap and easy to get from online shops like Leiania House of Beauty. So, what's the catch? Why are skin care junkies like me make a big fuss about Castor Oils?

First, what is Castor Oil? Castor Oil is a pale yellow oil obtained from castor beans, used as a purgative and a lubricant and in manufacturing oil-based products. But this medicinal concoction is more than just that. You might hate this forever once taken orally, but you should know that there are lots of uses that you can obtain from it without you tasting it.

Castor Oils might be forgotten due to the number of products nowadays that are more convenient to use but there are still lots of brands (especially hair care products) that incorporate the use of Castor Oils just because they are proven to be amazing for hair and skin use with its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties with lots of vitamins, minerals and is high in Omega 6 essential fatty acids that provides protection and nourishment for the hair. No wonder why it's been widely used for skin and hair care routines up to this date.

Pure and raw castor oils are beneficial on its own (minus the harmful chemicals)! Anyway, here's a short breakdown of the basic uses of Castor Oil for our skin and hair which I have been experimenting these days!

1. IMPROVES HAIR GROWTH.

Castor Oils are widely in-demand because of its primary and infamous capability to increase and improve hair growth. And by hair growth, it meant your mane, you lashes and brow. While you are feeling hopeless with that short lashes and accidentally stripped brows, know that you have a backup here! Just apply a drop of the oil to these parts everyday, preferably every night and see the results after weeks of continuous use! Just let it stay overnight and allow the oil to soak in and work its wonder on your skin and hair!

2. REDUCES PUFFY AND TIRED EYES.

Say bye to the power of concealers when you have castor oil (or at least your demand for concealers will be minimized) because it helps you reduce tired and puffy eyes so you wake up with a fresher-looking and well-rested eyes. I guarantee you that this works for me! When you apply it on your brows and lashes, include the eye area too and you can skip off eye creams just like that!

3. HAIR AND SCALP TREATMENT.

Castor Oils in my research has the thickest consistency among other oils, thus, felt greasy when applied to skin surface. I know, dear, you want to avoid that greasy hair feels that weigh down your hair's volume but I've got a better idea for this: mix sufficient castor oil with your hair treatment, massage through hair and scalp, leave it jut as long as you ant and rinse! There you go, dear, enjoy your dandruff-free scalp and soft hair! Easy peasy, right? Do this at least twice a week and see how much your hair grows inches in only a short period of time!

4. SKIN MOISTURIZER/SOFTENER.

Castor Oils are humectant, meaning they seal in moisture on your skin making it a good moisturizer especially to dry skin. I personally use this every night on my hands and feet where I have the driest skin. All you have to do is squeeze a few drops and apply the oil to the parts where you need moisturizing. Just don't over-squeeze and end up with greasy skin. You don't want it on a super hot weather, do you?

5. RELIEVES CALLUSES.

When applied topically, Castor Oils can relieve calluses and other uncomfortable skin feeling. Just rub and massage sufficient amount to affected areas for a period of time and notice how it soothes the skin and alleviate bumps and make them disappear over time.

6. SOOTHES DRY LIPS.

I never knew Castor Oil works great for the lips until I ran out of my favorite lip balm that I use overnight to repair my dry and chapped lips that's been acting up so badly this summer. So I was massaging some to my lashes and brows and I don't want to waste the oil so what I do is apply it on my moisture-hungry lips, making sure I never taste it. The next day, I was surprised to see that my lips felt smoother and softer--felt like I had my lip balm on overnight! Amazing!

7. ACNE TREATMENT.

With its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, Castor Oil helps relieve deep cystic acne. Just pat an ample amount of the oil on affected area and leave it overnight. I know, you may be skeptical about trying this technique out since usually, oils aren't really friendly to breakouts. Believe it or not, I am, too, myself. But it's only through trying that you figure out it really works!

8. HEALS SPLIT ENDS.

As a DIY hack, yes, you can actually mix Castor Oil to hair treatment but you can also apply it directly on you hair ends in very small amount after you rinse your hair. In fact, it can be an alternative to leave-on conditioners. The oil penetrates through the hair strands making sure your ends stays more beautiful and stronger than ever! As a result, you get less breakage and hair fall.

9. NAIL MOISTURIZER.

Having weak and dry nails mainly results from too much mani-pedis. Don't be afraid to take a break and treat your nails with some moisturizing oils like Castor Oil to bring back that smooth, strong nails that looks amazing even when bare!

***

There you have the Top 9 uses of Castor Oil! Hope you learned something today, guys. Allow me to make it up to you after weeks of being in hiatus mode. LOL! By the way, just so you know, I'm finishing my summer OJT in a week! Looks like I'm returning to my passion (writing) after a month of broadcasting. :) Let's stay connected. Happy blogging and cheers to a wonderful weekend!

Leiania House of Beauty Liquoriced Coffee Whitening Scrub

Leiania House of Beauty Liquoriced Coffee Whitening Scrub, 100g
Bought for: Free (P235)

From a perspective of a beauty junkie like me, body scrubs are bath essentials to make sure that we maintain a healthy, soft, smooth and supple skin. Therefore, in whatever form (powder-based, salt-based, cream-based), I make sure that I never run out of any. And for as long as I have a tub at home, then I'm far away from having rough and dry skin. I'm pretty sure you feel the same way, yes?

What I am going to review this time is the Leiania House of Beauty Liquoriced Coffee Whitening Scrub housed in a plastic tub with proper labels and information (directions for use, organic and natural ingredients, proof of authenticity, manufacturing and expiry dates).

For those who are not yet familiar with Leiania House of Beauty, they are one of the booming skin care and makeup brands that promote organic, ethical and holistic beauty. Their products are plant-derived and certified organic that not only cares for the skin, but for the environment too--very appealing to locals who have this huge aspirations to be a hero and save the world!

Hope you can read it well! :)))

What piques my interest regarding this product, I guess, is the variety of scrubs/exfoliants in this tub. There's coffee, poppy seeds and salts without the cream-based formula. I wonder if you know how I am a bit skeptical on using dry scrubs? Well, I really find them quite abrasive most especially on the thinner skin of the body like the face and it's not at all a pleasant experience. It feels like rubbing salt on open wounds. Very torturing instead of relaxing. But let me go ahead and spoil you that I found a better way to devour this tub of smells-edible-but-not coffee while welcoming it with open arms!

To reduce abrasiveness, I'd like to combine one tablespoon of this body scrub with one table spoon of honey, a teaspoon of combined olive and virgin coconut oil. This amount already suffice one luxurious bath, giving you baby-soft and smooth skin!

For the application, I just scrub it on my whole body (skipping my face as it can't really tolerate the rough edges of coffee and poppy seeds), paying more attention on rough areas particularly, then let it sit on the skin for an ideal 5-10 minutes (or longer).

Liquoriced Coffee Whitening Scrub claims to whiten the skin. My skin isn't dark in the first place and I don't have any substantial proof to claim that it did noticeably lighten my skin tone even after weeks of use. What I did discuss here are the things it does instantly.

Overall, I think it did a magnificent job in buffing away all the skin's impurities while revealing a healthier, softer and smoother skin with a beautiful glow. It's made of natural and organic ingredients which are safe for everyday use although I don't really recommend it for people with sensitive skin. Still, if you are looking for a product that won't burn a hole in your pocket, well, it's on top of the list!

UPDATED: Skin Care Routine for March-April

This blog post will going to show you what I did use for my face last month up until now.  I wanted to forget how and why I promised myself months ago to keep a minimal skin care routine for my face but, ugh, beauty products are just so irresistible, I can't help it!

I know we have to follow certain regimens to keep our skin as healthy as possible. The most common are the 3-step cleanse-tone-moisturize and 10-step skin care routine of Koreans. While three (3) is clearly not enough for me, 10, on the other hand, is just too overwhelming.

Considering the overall experience I have with these products (using each in conjunction with each other), I can say that these yield me a good outcome: brighter, healthier skin that gets less oily.

PRODUCTS I USE FOR MY MORNING SKIN CARE ROUTINE

1. NATURA ORGANICS HOLY GRAIL SOAP, P189. I depend on it so much in the morning to remove all excess oil on my face during sleeping because it works well in cleansing and brightening the face although a bit drying. This is why I don't recommend it to those who have been suffering from dry skin.

2. BELO ACNE PRO PIMPLE FIGHTING GEL FACE WASH, (AcnePro Kit, P230). I use this gel face wash of Belo along with the Holy Grail Soap just because I like to double cleanse. This is super hydrating and moisturizing on the skin so I use this to compensate from too much natural oil loss.

3. BELO ACNE PRO TREATMENT TONER, (AcnePro Kit, P230). This toner does not only remove deep-seated dirt on my pores, but it also mattify my skin and contributes big time on the prevention of breakouts.

4. BELO ACNE PRO PIMPLE GEL, (AcnePro Kit, P230). I am using this pimple gel because acne-prone skin (like me) requires advance skin care routine with the use of spot treatments. I'm pretty sure you've heard from me that this is the least of my favorites from Belo Essentials Acne Pro Kit but I am looking forward for more product empties for the next month. I may not notice it but maybe this really works in its own little ways.  I do not say that I hate this product but I don't love it either.

5. NATURE REPUBLIC SUN BLOCK, P460. Sun screen has become a necessity that I would prefer it more than makeups. So it really would be nice to have sunblocks that are tinted enough (like Nature Republic Sun Block) to act both as sunscreen and a tinted moisturizer in one. This does not only save time but makeup usage too! Review of this product soon, by the way.

PRODUCTS I USE FOR MY NIGHT SKIN CARE ROUTINE

1. LEIANIA HOUSE OF BEAUTY MICELLAR EAU DE FLEUR. I actually love this tough makeup remover from Leiania House of Beauty. It so mild and gentle on the skin and it easily removes heavy makeup so I usually use this before washing my face at night. There are times when I am so tired that I just want to lay down in bed so I just use this this remove all the dirt and makeup on my face. It's organic and it's effective.

2. LEIANIA HOUSE OF BEAUTY BLEMISH CLEAR ACNE FREE FACE MASQUE, P305. This is my current go-to mask. I apply this everyday before I go to sleep because it has the ability to reduce sebum production, soothes pimples, acne and redness and makes skin bright and radiant. It's made or pure organic and natural ingredients too so consider it as a healthy treat for your tired skin.

3. BELO ACNE PRO PIMPLE FIGHTING GEL FACE WASH, (AcnePro Kit, P230). (See details above)

4. BELO ACNE PRO TREATMENT TONER, (AcnePro Kit, P230)(See details above)

5. BELO ACNE PRO PIMPLE GEL, (AcnePro Kit, P230)(See details above)

6. CLOUD 9 BLANC DE WHITENING CREAM, P700. As much as I would like to include it in my morning skin care regimen, I just can't because it just make my face appear so much lighter than the rest of my body. Let's say it could lighten complexion, I guess it will work better during nighttime when the skin regenerates the most and is at rest.

So, these are the products that I have been using since March. Care to share what's keeping you beautiful?

Leiania House of Beauty Underarm Whitening Solution, Whitening Cream and Eco Deo Roll-On

Being a girl, having dark, uneven and bumpy underarms are total bush. We get conscious on what we wear, constantly reminding our remorseful selves not to show off in sleeveless. If, for one second, you think that you are alone in these well, think again.

Due to high sugar intake (this is what I have been remorseful about), I developed pigmentation on my underarms which results to unsightly uneven skin tone. Not to mention how I used to love experimenting with shaving creams, wax and other solutions for my underarms which even more triggered its worsening condition. Quite unbelievable, am I not?

The result? Apparently, it's a shame but I have to put it here: uneven and bumpy underarms. Well, it's not that really dark, but enough for me to still get conscious on what kinds of top to sport up.

Now that summer is fast approaching, we do not have to look 360 degrees all over drugstore shelves as the solution that you might have been searching for to safely and effectively lighten your pits could be right here, in front of you! Introducing...Leiania House of Beauty Underarm Whitening Solution, Whitening Cream and Eco Deo Roll-On!

ECO DEO ROLL-ON

Eco Deo Roll-On
Bought for: Free (P210)

It comes in a typical roll-on bottle--hygienic and very convenient to use. The design of the packaging is very simple but is labeled properly with directions, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates and other useful information for curious consumers like me.

This Eco Deo Roll-On claims to provide a whiter, sweat-free, odor-free and chicken skin-less underarms which are the things I watched out for when I road-test it for two months straight along with the UA Whitening Duo.

The very first thing I like about it is the super lightweight watery consistency of the product. It's like water which dries out easily, you don't need to get back on those sticky, long-drying deodorants which transfer on clothes un-dried. Also, it smells almost like nothing which is just fine with me as I know it's fragrance-free. I have read somewhere that fragrance on products can be harmful too because it can cause irritation.

Another thing I like about it is how gentle it is on skin but tough on sweat and odor. It claims to sting actually on the first minutes but I experience no such thing as far as I can remember. Added to the benefits of this product is the rarity of  having those wet circles on my shirt (yey!) considering that I perspire, like, a lot. And...it does not cause stains on white shirt! I've been looking for a product which does not stain light-colored shirts for a long-time now and thank heavens I found one! And what's more is that it is made of pure organic and natural ingredients without the harmful parabens (which can cause cancer) so it's safe for everyday use!

UNDERARM WHITENING SOLUTION

Underarm Whitening Solution
Bought for: Free (P660/Duo)

The formula's scent is not too overpowering. This underarm whitening solution, surprisingly, is very mild on the underarms given its ability to exfoliate skin and make it peel overtime. It does not sting too and if it does, it's hardly felt. I guess that is what I like about it. It's not some kind of solution that needs some other creams (unlike other UA Sets) to be able to work its magic. I mean, if I use this alone, I could still experience some life-changing moments (like being proud to flaunt thy pits!) and its still would be a great one!

I use this every night on clean underarms by getting some cotton swab then pour over a small amount of this solution that is enough to cover both my underarms and just allow it to dry before applying the cream. On my first fifth day of use, I noticed some peeling but it's not something drastic by the way. It eventually reveal much smoother and softer skin by removing the dead skin cells which contributesto making underarms look even darker. I also reduces the appearance of bumps and folds.

EXTRA STRENGTH UNDERARM WHITENING CREAM

Extra Strength Underarm Whitening Solution
Bought for: Free (P660/Duo)

This cream is housed in an expensive-looking clinical plastic container with very detailed information too and has 35g of product inside. It has a slight overpowering smell of floral which isn't so bothering at all. The consistency of the cream is thick and creamy but easily dries to a refreshing matte. It actually provides a powdery veil on my underarms when dried.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE
***

I am totally satisfied with these products! I have been using it for two months straight and my underarms lightened at least a tone fairer! Well I did not achieve exaggerated lightening but is enough to make me trust the brand and the products. However, I still have uneven toned spots to concentrate on but I believe these products, combined with patience can help me achieve great-looking underarms! Remember, you can't get a lighter tone overnight and it takes lots of effort and patience which definitely are the key!

So...been thinking of getting these for yourselves? Share your thoughts here with me! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna
