Just as I was shopping online, I came across this underarm cream which carries another Korean brand I have been hearing good things about -- Nlighten. We've probably heard of their best-selling soap and cushion but I didn't know they have underarm cream as well. Just in time 'cause I just emptied my favorite RMK Whitening Deodorant and according to the description, it is also a gentle anti-antiperspirant and deodorant cream. I was, at first, skeptical in getting myself a tube because it was seriously expensive (a little over P1000?) but saving time in applying a separate moisturizing underarm cream and deodorant is really promising and this simply got me sold.

CLAIMS (as per Nlighten)

Nlighten Underarm Cream is formulated with ten (10) powerful botanical ingredients, i.e. star lily, shea butter, pomegranate, mulberry, fig, ginkgo, black rice, blueberry, green tea and houttuynia cordata. This gentle anti-perspirant and deodorant cream promotes instant brightening effect and effectively helps in reducing dark spots and other visible hyper pigmentation. Through its special actives, this underarm cream helps maintain a bright and soft underarm and inhibits odor causing germs keeping you fresh and active all day long.

Formulated without Paraben, Phenoxy Ethanol, Benzophenone, Triethanolamine, Talc, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Synthetic Pigment and SLS.

PACKAGING

The product comes in a white tube with a silver screw cap which is very travel-friendly. To be honest, I am kind of liking the whole idea of white and silver because it looks simple but neat and classy. It displays all important information such as claims, directions for use, precautions, ingredients, and even the expiration date ( printed on the bottom of the box and at the bottom of the tube. The slim nozzle dispenses the product easily and hygienically without any waste.

SCENT

The product has a bit of a floral scent which I really love. I don't think anyone would find this off-putting. It actually reminds me of something which I forgot lol.

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY / EASE OF APPLICATION

The product comes in a creamy white formulation that blends and dries easily on the skin without any stickiness or uncomfortable feeling. It creates strong white cast once you mistakenly put too much so be careful. Also, you might want to limit application to a very small drop since it tends to set and cling on the lines of the skin which is, by the way, not a very good sight. Once you figure out the right amount to put every usage, you will be surprise because you'll notice that it brings slight brightening and softening effect on the skin without looking awkward (see photos below). I thought it will not look good on my skin since I have yellow undertones but this instantly adjusts to the complexion.

PERFORMANCE

Although this product gives instant brightening effect, it did not  give off a permanent lightening effect on my skin even after using it overtime. You might want to use this one if in case you are attending a special event and you are not confident to show off your underarms because this tends to blur out underarm imperfections and make it look so soft and smooth. Also, this slows down hair growth and prevent chicken skin from developing after waxing or shaving. The creamy formula moisturizes my underarms well and makes it look a bit more presentable lol.

What I don't like most about it is the fact that it makes my pits perspire even when I'm inside an air-conditioned room.Usually, I don't smell anything awful even without the aid of a deodorant, but whenever I use this, I always get embarrassed at the end of the day because my pits' having this unpleasant smell--I just couldn't wait to get home and take a bath.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

It has been months since I last give a product a failing score. If this product isn't as expensive as it is, I wouldn't mind forgiving all of the disappointing things about it especially it has done me something good. If you would ask me if I would repurchase, it's a no. Would I highly recommend it? Not at all.

Leiania House of Beauty Underarm Whitening Solution, Whitening Cream and Eco Deo Roll-On

Being a girl, having dark, uneven and bumpy underarms are total bush. We get conscious on what we wear, constantly reminding our remorseful selves not to show off in sleeveless. If, for one second, you think that you are alone in these well, think again.

It comes in a typical roll-on bottle--hygienic and very convenient to use. The design of the packaging is very simple but is labeled properly with directions, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates and other useful information for curious consumers like me.

This Eco Deo Roll-On claims to provide a whiter, sweat-free, odor-free and chicken skin-less underarms which are the things I watched out for when I road-test it for two months straight along with the UA Whitening Duo.

The very first thing I like about it is the super lightweight watery consistency of the product. It's like water which dries out easily, you don't need to get back on those sticky, long-drying deodorants which transfer on clothes un-dried. Also, it smells almost like nothing which is just fine with me as I know it's fragrance-free. I have read somewhere that fragrance on products can be harmful too because it can cause irritation.

Another thing I like about it is how gentle it is on skin but tough on sweat and odor. It claims to sting actually on the first minutes but I experience no such thing as far as I can remember. Added to the benefits of this product is the rarity of  having those wet circles on my shirt (yey!) considering that I perspire, like, a lot. And...it does not cause stains on white shirt! I've been looking for a product which does not stain light-colored shirts for a long-time now and thank heavens I found one! And what's more is that it is made of pure organic and natural ingredients without the harmful parabens (which can cause cancer) so it's safe for everyday use!

The formula's scent is not too overpowering. This underarm whitening solution, surprisingly, is very mild on the underarms given its ability to exfoliate skin and make it peel overtime. It does not sting too and if it does, it's hardly felt. I guess that is what I like about it. It's not some kind of solution that needs some other creams (unlike other UA Sets) to be able to work its magic. I mean, if I use this alone, I could still experience some life-changing moments (like being proud to flaunt thy pits!) and its still would be a great one!

I use this every night on clean underarms by getting some cotton swab then pour over a small amount of this solution that is enough to cover both my underarms and just allow it to dry before applying the cream. On my first fifth day of use, I noticed some peeling but it's not something drastic by the way. It eventually reveal much smoother and softer skin by removing the dead skin cells which contributesto making underarms look even darker. I also reduces the appearance of bumps and folds.

Extra Strength Underarm Whitening Solution

This cream is housed in an expensive-looking clinical plastic container with very detailed information too and has 35g of product inside. It has a slight overpowering smell of floral which isn't so bothering at all. The consistency of the cream is thick and creamy but easily dries to a refreshing matte. It actually provides a powdery veil on my underarms when dried.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

I am totally satisfied with these products! I have been using it for two months straight and my underarms lightened at least a tone fairer! Well I did not achieve exaggerated lightening but is enough to make me trust the brand and the products. However, I still have uneven toned spots to concentrate on but I believe these products, combined with patience can help me achieve great-looking underarms! Remember, you can't get a lighter tone overnight and it takes lots of effort and patience which definitely are the key!

REVIEW: Snoe Under Armed Forces Micro-Refining Peel Solution

Underarms is one of the female body parts in which we, girls, are always conscious about. We wanted to have that bump-free, light, and hairless underarms. So in conclusion, we always look for products such as solutions, cream, and deodorants which promise to lighten this sensitive area. Believe me, I am one of those girls who's always conscious about how my underarms would look in sleeveless clothes! That's why every time I drop by supermarkets or department stores, I always stumble through racks of these for-underarm products.

So this time, what I'm trying out is the Snow Under Armed Forces Micro-Refining Peel Solution. By the way, I wanted to commend them for coming up with the Under Armed Forces line. It really is nice to think about it.

My underarm isn't that dark, but I always wanted it to become at least one or two tone lighter. Hey, I know nobody's skin is perfect, but isn't it wrong to want to have better skin? Ha! So yeah, months ago (I really forget the exact month), I visited the Snoe Boutique at SM Manila. I've read one good review about it and in those pictures, I notice that the underarm of that blogger started to peel in a week-long use. So yeah, I was really intrigued so I had to buy one myself. Sadly, I can't find the same post anymore.

So yeah, by using this solution, I thought I'll have my underarms peel like what happened to that blogger, but no peeling had taken effect! I was so disappointed but I feel like I still gotta try. But to no avail. Again, I DID NOT EXPERIENCE PEELING THE WHOLE TIME I AM USING THE PRODUCT! But still I continued using it. I don't want to waste any single penny. Until I noticed the discoloration in the formula. It was once a clear fluid and watery in consistency but one day, I noticed that the fluid became blurred. So yeah, I had to stop, I don't know if that's fine or what but I don't want to risk anything. Psh, it's still a quarter full pa naman...

Honestly, I didn't experience any lightening effect on my underarms despite of my following the instructions carefully (applying the product twice a day). I don't think if it's a good or a bad thing I never bought the cream and deo together with it. However, I noticed that my underarm hairs take a long time to regrow during the time I was still applying the solution on my underarms. And it made my skin there softer and smoother.

Claims, Directions, Warning, Ingredients

The reason I bought it is that I really do believe in its efficiency. Hey! It's worth like two days of my allowance! Maybe it will work better with its cream and deo, but I wasn't able to buy them because they are quite pricey for a 50ML bottle. And I don't want to judge the other products from the same line by using the solution alone.

What I like?

• Smells really good
• Reduces underarm bumps, making it softer and smoother
• With Mistletoe extract to inhibit hair growth
• Takes a long time to dry
• No sting-y effect

What I don't like?

• Quite pricey (PHP699 for a 50ML bottle)
• No noticeable lightening effect (at least for me)
• Discoloration in the fluid happens
