All Under P500: Makeup Brushes and False Eyelashes for Makeup Starters

Who loves to hoard so much but does not want to spend a lot? As much as I do not want to admit it, I plead guilty. As much as possible, I stay away from Ebay because that's where I used to hoard so many things, spend thousands of bucks shopping for things that I do not even know if I'll be able to use. Who would not? They got tons of deals and products around the world that's got the cheapest price! But I can't. And wait... Let me tell you that I am definitely changing! I promise to reduce my being an impulsive buyer and just commit to the things that I am sure to use. So far...I'm sticking to it.

So...for my recent Ebay haul, here's what I purchased to add up to my growing collection of makeup tools and essentials for starters like me! I believe that spending bucks on expensive ones could be a waste because, first, I still have no idea how to use them so as much as possible, pour on all my trials and errors on affordable ones to really get all my money's worth.

Pink Kabuki Style Makeup Brush Set 10 pcs, P218.24
Pro Synthetic Angled Flat Top Brush (for liquid foundie), P72.83
Natural Long False Eyelashes, P72.83
Natural Cross Handmade Eyelashes, P52.40
Soft Natural Cross Handmade Lashes, P52.40

Total: P468.7

The first makeup brush set I got from Ebay does not have any kabuki brushes (big ones) and I badly need to know how to use them for applying liquid foundations so I looked for them on Ebay and got these 10pcs Pink Brushes at a bargain price of P219! Gah, can you believe it? Usually, these unbranded makeup brush sets retail for P400 and above locally! Not to mention it is free of shipping charge!

I got mine from: befdi.

This flat top kabuki brush is just alone and does not come with any company set and I was thrilled to know it is mainly used for applying liquid foundations and it's uber cheap (P73) so I paid for it immediately. For your information, I am never a professional when it comes to commenting on the effectiveness of brushes but tell you what, the synthetic hairs are super soft to the touch! They did not also cause any skin irritations like the makati (itchy) feeling! Although I have to test them still when washed if I'm gonna have problems with fallouts.

When I went to Manila Sundance Bazaar, I bought a falsies glue and then the O.A. me panicked. I have nothing to glue on my eyes (lol!)! Good thing, I decided (after some long self argument) to browse on Ebay AGAIN and found these falsies in 10-pairs and yeah, super affordable at only P50-P70 per box! I can't help it so I bought all three! Gosh, they all make me feel soooo excited for my upcoming makeup gigs! Hihi!

I think my favorite would be this natural cross eye lashes! I bet they look good when worn plus they are thin and looks more natural!

I bought the flat top brush and all these falsies from: davidjiandan.

So...that's all! Looking forward for more budget-friendly items from Ebay! Actually, I'm blogging and browsing all at the same time! ;) Have you tried shopping on Ebay? Share with me what you've got! Happy blogging!

Quick Review: Ever Bilena Silkening Body Spray in 'Lovely in Pink'

Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you my current favorite cologne and it's no other than...(drum rolls) Ever Bilena Silkening Body Spray in 'Lovely in Pink'! Just how ironic, it has a Pink in the name when it's obviously Purplish in shade! :)))

Ever Bilena Silkening Body Spray in 'Lovely in Pink', 236ml
Bought for: P210
Bought from: SM Supermarket

As you can see, it's a dupe for Victoria's Secret-- they almost have the same color, same packaging (except for the shape), same scent and attack. But that does not change the fact that they still differ from each other in lots of ways.

First off, this smells like, ugh, how do I say this? But it smells really feminine with a combination of sweet and citrusy scent. If, however, you prefer manly fragrances (which I also do), then I guess, you won't really like this. It smells so clean and floral which isn't strong for me, but I know some might find this a little overwhelming.

Also, I have no problem spritzing as it comes with an easy-squeeze pump. If you want to bring some on smaller pouches, I guess you may have to transfer some liquids on smaller vials too because it's quite bulky for travel use.

The only downside I have with this one is how easy the scent fades (one-two hours at max). Well, you don't have to worry about spraying too much as it's really inexpensive, right? Still, I think I won't repurchase the same variant and would gladly try the others but after road-testing them, I'll still commit for the more expensive Victoria's Secret even if I have to pay triple the price. At least, it's long-wearing!

So...what do you think of this cologne? Yay or nay? Comment below! Happy blogging!

Updated: Caronia Nail Hardener and Basecoat, Fast-Dry Top Coat and Kwik-Dry and Cuticle Conditioner

Got a problem with easy-chipping nail polishes? All it takes is just one day and there would be cracks and peel on your nail bed already? Say goodbye to them now! Because you can now have that professional-like manis and pedis even while you are in the comfort of your own home!

What I'm going to review today is the Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat, Caronia Fast-Dry Top Coat and Caronia Kwik-dry and Cuticle Conditioner.

In 1968, founders of Vibelle Manufacturing Corporation, Don Vicente Ang and his wife Belen introduced the first locally produced nail polish brand in the Philippine market, Caronia.

Caronia, named after the luxury ship, RMS Caronia easily became a popular brand among Filipinas because it provided them an alternative to limitedly available imported nail care brands.

Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat (P49)
Caroia Fast-Dry Top Coat (P49)
Caronia Kwik-Dry and Cuticle Conditioner (P39)
Bought from: Watsons

All three are housed in glass packaging with proper labeling and cute differently-colored stickers and brush applicators. I'd say they are travel-friendly, but wait, who brings these to trips? Do you???

***
CARONIA NAIL HARDENER AND BASE COAT

***

If you want your nail polishes to stay longer on your nails without chipping or anything, I suggest that you use a base coat. To tell you honestly, I don't use any base coat before applying nail polish back when I was elementary neither when I was in high school. But when I became so addicted to nail polishes, that's when I became more aware to things essential for healthier nails such as base coats, top coats and nail polish remover.

Tell you what, this is my first ever brand of base coat that I was able to try. The next one is the San San (I'll be posting a different review for that one). Anyhow, Caronia changed my views when it comes to nail care. Number one rule which I have known: Invest in an efficient base coat prior to using colored polishes. It will prevent stains and will help in making your nails fuller and stronger with every coloring.

What it claims: Protect your nails from breaking and chipping with a base coat that locks on to nail polish color!

What I like:

-does not look cheap
-prolong the life span of polishes
-prevents my nails from yellowing
-retails for only PHP39 for a 15ml bottle
-does what it claims
-makes my nails harder which always weaken when cleaned using cuticle pusher
-dries quickly
-widely available

What I don't like:

-smells like rugby.

-brush is so thin that it takes too much strokes to cover my nails with base coat
-has 30% Toulene, Formaldehyde, and DBP! (For short, it has the Big 3 Toxins we always dreaded and wanted to avoid on products (Anyhow, it doesn't matter if you're not a health conscious. But I am! And as I said, I never care to nail products before as long as there's nail polish. I have already bought it before I discovered that nail polishes also has toxins which might be harmful for the health.)

***
CARONIA FAST-DRY TOP COAT
***

If you're really into nail polish, without a top coat will definitely make you feel that your manicure isn't done well. Like a house without furniture. While you can top off your polishes with colorless, Caronia Fast-Dry Top Coat assures you to dry your nails even faster and make it last longer. Actually, with base coat and top coat, I noticed that even after a week, there is still very minimal to no chipping which is a lot better than having applied nail polish only.

What it claims: Get durable, glossy finish in express time!

What I like:
-very effective in drying my nail polish faster
-very good in providing your nails that glossy look even after days of handy works
-protects your nails from chipping
-15 ml bottle costs 49php only
-doesn't contain the Big 3 Toxins except I'm using it together with the base coat
-widely available

What I don't like:
-smells like those rubber balloons
-makes me feel dizzy
-the brush is too thin for my nails

***
CARONIA KWIK-DRY & CUTICLE CONDITIONER
***

While I already topped my nail polish with my preferred top coat, I still apply Kwik-Dry & Cuticle Conditioner. It's not that really necessary (in my own opinion) since my top coat is already fast-drying, I still apply it for conditioning purposes though.

It also prevents my nails from getting smudges, dirt and even light touches--which I always get from certain activities. Anyways, who would want ruined nail polish after an hour of prettifying? You definitely want it to be as perfect as the first time you apply your nail polish! So if you want a well-moisturized, added fast-drying components and smudge-free nails, you must give this a go!

What it claims: Dry your nail polish faster and keep it smudge-free while you condition your cuticles at the same time!

What I like:

-totally Big 3 Toxins-free (but using it together with the Caronia Top Coat does not make any difference at all)
-has mineral oil for further moisturizing effect
-affordable for only 49php for a 15ml bottle
-doesn't smell strong unlike the top coat and base coat
-Widely available

What I don't like:

-None

WOULD I BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN?

As of now, I'm still in the process of trying out new things to find what suits me best. But in any instance I'm not satisfied with any product which offers the same service, well, yes, I am most certain to buy these again!

Have you tried any Caronia product? Feel free ro share it here with me! Happy blogging!

Leiania House of Beauty Underarm Whitening Solution, Whitening Cream and Eco Deo Roll-On

Being a girl, having dark, uneven and bumpy underarms are total bush. We get conscious on what we wear, constantly reminding our remorseful selves not to show off in sleeveless. If, for one second, you think that you are alone in these well, think again.

Due to high sugar intake (this is what I have been remorseful about), I developed pigmentation on my underarms which results to unsightly uneven skin tone. Not to mention how I used to love experimenting with shaving creams, wax and other solutions for my underarms which even more triggered its worsening condition. Quite unbelievable, am I not?

The result? Apparently, it's a shame but I have to put it here: uneven and bumpy underarms. Well, it's not that really dark, but enough for me to still get conscious on what kinds of top to sport up.

Now that summer is fast approaching, we do not have to look 360 degrees all over drugstore shelves as the solution that you might have been searching for to safely and effectively lighten your pits could be right here, in front of you! Introducing...Leiania House of Beauty Underarm Whitening Solution, Whitening Cream and Eco Deo Roll-On!

***
ECO DEO ROLL-ON
***

Eco Deo Roll-On
Bought for: Free (P210)

It comes in a typical roll-on bottle--hygienic and very convenient to use. The design of the packaging is very simple but is labeled properly with directions, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates and other useful information for curious consumers like me.

This Eco Deo Roll-On claims to provide a whiter, sweat-free, odor-free and chicken skin-less underarms which are the things I watched out for when I road-test it for two months straight along with the UA Whitening Duo.

The very first thing I like about it is the super lightweight watery consistency of the product. It's like water which dries out easily, you don't need to get back on those sticky, long-drying deodorants which transfer on clothes un-dried. Also, it smells almost like nothing which is just fine with me as I know it's fragrance-free. I have read somewhere that fragrance on products can be harmful too because it can cause irritation.

Another thing I like about it is how gentle it is on skin but tough on sweat and odor. It claims to sting actually on the first minutes but I experience no such thing as far as I can remember. Added to the benefits of this product is the rarity of  having those wet circles on my shirt (yey!) considering that I perspire, like, a lot. And...it does not cause stains on white shirt! I've been looking for a product which does not stain light-colored shirts for a long-time now and thank heavens I found one! And what's more is that it is made of pure organic and natural ingredients without the harmful parabens (which can cause cancer) so it's safe for everyday use!

***
UNDERARM WHITENING SOLUTION
***

Underarm Whitening Solution
Bought for: Free (P660/Duo)

The formula's scent is not too overpowering. This underarm whitening solution, surprisingly, is very mild on the underarms given its ability to exfoliate skin and make it peel overtime. It does not sting too and if it does, it's hardly felt. I guess that is what I like about it. It's not some kind of solution that needs some other creams (unlike other UA Sets) to be able to work its magic. I mean, if I use this alone, I could still experience some life-changing moments (like being proud to flaunt thy pits!) and its still would be a great one!

I use this every night on clean underarms by getting some cotton swab then pour over a small amount of this solution that is enough to cover both my underarms and just allow it to dry before applying the cream. On my first fifth day of use, I noticed some peeling but it's not something drastic by the way. It eventually reveal much smoother and softer skin by removing the dead skin cells which contributesto making underarms look even darker. I also reduces the appearance of bumps and folds.

***
EXTRA STRENGTH UNDERARM WHITENING CREAM
***

Extra Strength Underarm Whitening Solution
Bought for: Free (P660/Duo)

This cream is housed in an expensive-looking clinical plastic container with very detailed information too and has 35g of product inside. It has a slight overpowering smell of floral which isn't so bothering at all. The consistency of the cream is thick and creamy but easily dries to a refreshing matte. It actually provides a powdery veil on my underarms when dried.

***
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
***

I am totally satisfied with these products! I have been using it for two months straight and my underarms lightened at least a tone fairer! Well I did not achieve exaggerated lightening but is enough to make me trust the brand and the products. However, I still have uneven toned spots to concentrate on but I believe these products, combined with patience can help me achieve great-looking underarms! Remember, you can't get a lighter tone overnight and it takes lots of effort and patience which definitely are the key!

So...been thinking of getting these for yourselves? Share your thoughts here with me! Happy blogging!

Leiania House of Beauty Almond Coffee Soap

With the growing numbers of manufacturers of natural and organic-infused products nowadays, I am really fortunate to have tried the Prime Castile Bars from Leiania House of Beauty. Today, I am going to talk about the Almond Coffee Soap first. Since I love coffee-based products, I knew that among the rest, I had to use it first.

Leiania House of Beauty Almond Coffe Soap, 100g
Bought for: Free (P190)
From: Leiania House of Beauty

We all probably know that coffee is a well-known exfoliant therefore lots of organic brands are incorporating it in their products. It has lots of benefits too that you surely would not compromise with other artificial exfoliants in the market like it can reduce puffiness and cellulites, can brighten the skin, tighten and smoothen it out, can fight free radicals and soothe skin inflammation.

As you can see, the soap is covered in a tamper-proof plastic seal to prevent pollutants from spoiling the freshness of the soap. The packaging feels so exclusive too. You know what I mean? It seems to be not jut some typical soap and isn't just some kind of joke. And I really appreciate the proper and complete labeling since there's a lot of non-drugstore brands (especially the newly-established ones) who fail to include detailed information like descriptions, directions, ingredients, and even proof of authenticity.

This Almond Coffee soap is definitely full-packed with highly beneficial herbal plants and extracts like Coconut, Olive, Sunflower, Canola, etc. What you'll be getting from this 100g soap is pure goodness, that's a fact.

Almond Coffee Soap claims to be a gentle natural exfoliating soap bar with almond extracts and oat protein for extra care on skin sensitivities and a wonderful skin treat and is excellent in removing dead skin cells in order to rejuvenate skin and bring a soft, smooth and fresh skin. It can also tighten and firm the skin, promotes the release of positive emotions and powers up brain activities. Also high in natural glycerin and lauric acid, it softens and deeply moisturizes the skin.

I actually love how its crafted--it looks sooo cute, I actually just want to display it (lol!). It's also a great bath companion as it relaxes my senses with its soothing aroma.

You might not see it but there are coffee grounds on the soap (the dark part) which acts as an instant scrub, thus, exfoliating with body scrubs is not anymore necessary while using this soap unless you badly need some terrific scrubbing after a stressful day. Just mop the soap on your skin and and it suds up pretty well! The coffee granules aren't abrasive on the skin too so its really perfect on every skin type whether you have sensitive or normal skin.

To be honest, this soap dries my skin out which isn't really bothering as I could just instantly slather some moisturizer afterwards. This is just a result from the tightening effect of the coffee, making the skin firm and such. Also, I love how it instantly perks up a radiant and glowing skin after every wash and prevents breakouts too! I actually uses it days before, during and after my period and I can proudly say that I got no major zits.

What I love:

-Soothes skin
-Makes skin radiant, healthy and glowing
-Free from harmful chemicals
-Full-packed with beneficial extracts
-Calms senses with its aroma
-Great exfoliant that removes dead skin cells
-Makes skin soft and smooth
-Made of organic and natural ingredients
-Suds up well
-Affordable

What I don't like:

-Could be a little drying

Overall, I really love this soap! It's worth repurchasing and is highly recommended to everyone! If you want to try it out too, just place your order at Leiania House of Beauty Intagram, Facebook or Official Website. Also, don't forget to visit their Blog Site!

Til my next post! Happy blogging!

Sooper Beaute Pore Minimizing Serum and Pore Eraser Toner

Bigger pores are either part of genes or an aftermath of severe breakouts. You know, when you try to squeeze/pop these annoying zits and it would leave a crater (I'm exaggerating lol) on your face? I know, sometimes you might not help it but you have to resist yourself because you can never bring back large pores into smaller ones. This is why, I find some products a little deceptive when they say that they can reduce the size of the pores with all these great-sounding ingredients. Maybe they could conceal, yes, but not really give a long-term effect.
So what I am going to review this time is Sooper Beaute Pore Minimizing Serum and Pore Eraser Toner.

Pore Minimizing Serum, 30g
Pore Eraser Toner, 50ml
Bought for: P330 and P250 (at 70% off)
Bought from: Sooper Beaute

Both the Pore Minimizing Serum and the Pore Eraser Toner are in a plastic bottle except the former one's with a pump dispenser. I find the packaging cute actually except they are too expensive given the size and if bought with its original price. Good thing, I got them when Sooper Beaute's on sale.

***
SOOPER BEAUTE PORE ERASER TONER
***

Our Pore Eraser Toner contains Witch Hazel Extract that is Eco-friendly and has a lot of skincare benefits.

  • It’s a natural astringent that helps control acne & oily skin.
  • It helps reduce inflammation & oiliness.
  • It’s very mild & can be used by those with sensitive skin as a pimple busting solution.
  • It tightens pores. Have lesser visible pores with continuous use.
  • It’s very refreshing for the skin. Use it when your skin feels dirty, oily & if it feels hot.
  • It improves skin hydration.
  • Perfect to help in treating sunburn.
  • Has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can ease psoriasis and eczema.

It smells almost like nothing and works well in hydrating the skin. It also has Witch Hazel Extract and Aloe Vera Extract known to for their moisturizing, hydrating, soothing and healing properties. To be honest, except for the ingredients, I find nothing special about it.

***
SOOPER BEAUTE PORE MINIMIZING SERUM
***

Pore Minimizing Serum is a treatment that regulates oil, evenly distributing it to your skin. It refines visible pores and prevents breakouts without drying your skin too much. It also provides a smooth canvass for a perfect makeup base. It has active ingredients like Hibiscus Flower Extract, Witchhazel Extract, Collagen and Vitamin C.

.

First thing, I have no idea how concentrated of active ingredients these products are. It smells almost like nothing too just like the toner but unlike it, you will feel that the serum is working.

It has a gel-like consistency, lightweight but sticky on first minute upon application which subsides, however, on the succeeding minutes. It provides an oil-free surface without drying the skin. It also creates a feel of thin film-like barrier on the skin which is probably a good thing because it traps makeup and other harmful pollutants and hinders them from entering the pores. It also acts as a good base under makeup, controlling excess sebum and keeping you oil-free for hours. In my case, I tend to be oil-free for two hours, thus, retouching is a must.

The only downside, however, I have for this product is that it actually break me out. Maybe because of the thin film it creates on my skin which clogs my pores. Therefore, I was only able to use it for more or less than two weeks.

***
OVERALL PERFORMANCE: 2/5
***

I know that Sooper Beaute is a brand which focuses on using natural ingredients on their products yet still transparent on their ingredients list. But again, infusing great-sounding ingredients does not mean that they yield great results too as they really vary on the skin type of an individual.

Since it clogged my pores and caused me breakouts, I don't think I would repurchase. Also, it reduces the size of pores (because of the film) temporarily upon application, but did not give me noticeable results though. On a lighter note, both the Pore Minimizing Serum and Pore Eraser Toner hydrates, soothes and moisturizes my skin well without sting. Because of its fragrance-free formulation and mild application, it's very gentle on the skin.

Remember that what might not work for me may work for you and these products deserves second chance so if you are eyeing them, go for it! You may never know if this might be the best products for you. Til my next post! Happy blogging!

Hanna

Chica Y Chico Astazet 4.0

Here's a review of Chica Y Chico Astazet 4.0.

I don't know if you are all familiar with the Korean brand Chica Y Chico. To be honest, I only had a thought about it when I found its products being sold in Althea. And because I've been a little snoopy regarding its retailing price (which by the way is not a joke given my student budget), I feel like I have to try it just to know if my money's worth it.

I actually had enormous expectations about it, first, because it retails a little expensive given the small amount of product a tube has and second, yeah, well, it does look very clinical, those that are exclusive upon checking up with a dermatologist. I know I had to always remind myself that there are lots of factors like product formulation, that make us hiyang to some products and that being sold expensively is not enough to guarantee us good results. So it's not just right to put up all my hopes in one product.

Chica Y Chico Aztazet 4.0
Bought for: P720 at 52% off (Original price is P1520)
Bought from: Althea Philippines

Well, this look like a pretty decent moisturizer. Looks special, indeed, with all its scientifically displayed information like the 4.0 and 4% thing-y. I mean, it's quite convincing, isn't it? Like it's formulated with scientists who knows best on the field and is more extraordinary than your typical moisturizing creams. But to be clear, it's just a cream.

The cream is packed in an aluminum kind of tube with safety seal and a hygienic tube with the expiry date printed on the top.

It claims to be a mark eraser, like spot treatments that could lighten blemishes, discolorations, freckles, skin stains and pimple and acne scars and gives you even skin tone and deep hydration. I don't have problems like freckles but I do have lots of persistent pimple scars especially on my cheeks that I have been badly want to get rid off for a very log time now.

It also has great ingredients like:

So...it's got loads of ingredients that sound great huh. Good things there  are no parabens or other dreaded chemicals on the formula.

As you can see on the photos below, it's got a light yellow creamy texture that is easy to blend on bare skin. However, given my oily skin, I still find it a bit greasy to the touch. It has a fetid, medicinal smell too but since I am not really particular with product scent, this is not bothersome at all.

To be honest, when I am waiting for my Althea parcel to arrive, this is what I have been most excited to try on. So I did tried it first, road test it in a week and I EVENTUALLY HAD TO STOP. Why? I actually developed some skin rashes on my face and neck area. On my third day of use, I noticed it already because my face started to itch and small bumps emerges out of my pores. It looks nothing, really, neither reddish nor colored but I can feel it. And still, I continued using thinking that maybe it's just first reaction. I mean, it happens a lot with products, right? Like you'll breakout but it's just all part of the products' effectiveness, but with this, I guess not. After a week, I really had to stop. My face became so itchy, not anymore tolerable. Before I scratch my face to bleeding, I know I had to discontinue use.

And until now, I ask myself, is it really the product? Or it's just my face's reaction to sudden change of skin care routine? I mean, I ALWAYS change my skin care routine but nothing this terrible happened before. Now I am scared to give this product another try. Hey, I paid P720 for this tube!

As for the lightening part, I don't know if a week is enough to notice changes but I am really so disappointed as it did nothing but give me these annoying bumps all over my face and neck area. so definitely, I will not recommend. NOT EVER. I decided to just toss it away and remember its name and make sure to never use it again.

So, overall, Astazet 4.0 is a total disappointment. The packaging and the formulation are dodgy. If you'd ask me, I am still suffering from this itchy bumps on my face even though it's been 10 days since I stopped using the product but the bumps start to lessen each day though.

For you who's reading this blog post, be careful on what you are putting on your face and I know, it's partly I, who deserves to get the blame for not doing patch test prior to road testing but now you know what to do. I do not have sensitive skin in the first place so I guess it's safer. Also, please bear in mind that what not works for me may work for you because we all have different types of skin and we react differently toward a certain product. Could you smell my disappointment while writing this? I bet you could! :(

I don't know if you experienced the same thing or what but feel free to share it here with me! Happy blogging!

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder

When you shop at Althea, this Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder is included in their bestsellers. Aside from being super affordable, I do not know what else is special about this small jar...until it's been given away FOR FREE when you shop at Althea. You know, there are some times when Althea's having promos that when you put these highlighted products in your cart, you just don't have to pay for them (One of the things I love about them!).

So, as I was saying, I got it for free and I actually am glad because this was what I got. Continue reading if you want to know more about it! I got really excited when I am gonna talk about this product! ;)

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder, 5g
Bought for: Free (P260 at 27% off/Original Price: P360)
Bought from: Althea Philippines

Innisfree is a Korean skin care and makeup brand and is eco-friendly which focuses on recycled packaging and infuses natural ingredients in their products, therefore, free of harmful chemicals. Sounds good, huh?

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral powder has Mint, Jeju Green Tea and Jeju Mineral Powder that is why when you try to smell it, you will catch a whiff of the following ingredients and did I already tell you that it smells oh-so-nice? It does actually.

It's housed in a small mint green plastic tub and is designed very neatly, you won't get bombarded and confused with too much information as its design seem to be very straight forward. Also, I find it not too bulky, just the right size to fit in pouches and bring wherever you want to go.

It has the manufacturing date and some description, I guess? Good to know that it expires 2 years after opening.

When you take a peak on the inside, you'll know that its created like typical face powders with that filter thing and sponge. By the way, I super like the puff applicator--its very soft and smooth, to be honest, thus, delivering a smooth application too.

Anyway, let's get down to what I love about it.

This powder has multiple use as well--finishing base powder, makeup fixer, soft and bright skin tone, replacement for oil control paper, eye primer and hair control.

Too much uses for a small product huh? I'm impressed. But are the claims really true? Definitely although I haven't tried it yet for my hair! It says there that it could be applied on top roots of your hair to get rid of oiliness. I mean given how finely-milled the pigments are and how strong its capabilities to mattify skin, I believe it would also do well with hair!

It claims to be a replacement powder for oil control paper making the skin soft and matte. It would if applied at least three times a day (for oily skin). It keeps my face shine-free for hours (maybe because of the double sebum control system) but definitely, not all day. But it's the only face powder which keeps my makeup that way for a good five hours. So far, it's the best for me!

Even though, it only has 5g of it, I swear, it could last you up to months but I guess, it still depends on how much you use, still, a little goes a long way! In my case, I just use it once a day (focusing more on sebum concentrated areas like forehead, nose, chin and upper cheeks) as a setting powder over makeup to make it last longer and in fact, it would! Actually, they tend to melt on my skin after a few hours because I have severe case of oily skin (which scks) but not with this powder. As a matter of fact, I tend to become oil-free for at least five hours. Mind you, I commute daily and you can think of anything that triggers oiliness on my skin, do you?

Upon application, my face seemed to look bright and clear and definitely so soft and smooth to the touch! I just... I can't...it's just so perfect! If you are worries that it may create white cast on the face like other face powders do, fret not! This powder blends easily to any skin type and tone, acting as a translucent powder to make it look fresh. If oils start to threaten again, just dab a little and its back to fresh again. That easy, promise. What's more? I have been using it for quite some time and I'm having no irritation at all and definitely, no major breakouts to date!

The only downside for this product, I think, is that due to the puff applicator and powdered texture, application could be messy. It has a pressed version and I'd love to use that too!

What I like about it:
  • great sebum control
  • makes skin soft and smooth
  • makes makeup last longer
  • good setting powder
  • fine-milled powder pigments that suits all skin tones and types
  • travel-friendly packaging
  • affordable
  • smells nice
  • a little goes a long way
  • versatility in terms of uses
What I don't like:
  • Application could be messy

Overall, Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder is definitely worth every try and every penny! I mean it's full-packed with uses and goodness and I bet, everyone will love it just as how other bloggers do! Whether you have dry, oily, sensitive skin, this would be perfect for you not to mention how affordable it is! I definitely would repurchase!
