How To Be A Picture-Perfect Bride With Ever Bilena Makeup

It’s your wedding day and all eyes will be on you! As the bride, you’re undoubtedly aiming for a healthy glow and a picture-perfect makeup that will last throughout the whole occasion. Ever Bilena, the country’s leading cosmetics brand, shares easy-to-do tips to ensure that you’re flawless on your big day:

Get your beauty sleep! Getting enough sleep prior to your wedding is a hundred percent necessary if you want flawless and healthy-looking skin. Practice the habit of having proper seven to nine hours sleep at least months or weeks leading up to your big day.

Prep your skin and brows. Having clear skin is a good base for your makeup. Achieve healthy skin by drinking lots of water to keep it hydrated. Prep your skin by cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen. You can also consider setting an appointment with your derma for facial cleansing and the salon for your brow grooming.

Use long-wearing, waterproof makeup products. Wedding days can get very emotional. As a bride, the last thing you want are tear-stained cheeks and smudged makeup. To ensure that your makeup stays in place the whole day, use long-wearing and waterproof products such as Ever Bilena’s All Day Liquid Foundation, EB Matte Long-lasting Dip Liner for the eyes and EB Power Curl Mascara for your lashes.

EB All Day Liquid Foundation

EB Long-lasting Matte Dip Liner

EB Power Curl Mascara

Accentuate your features. Makeup should not overpower your features but instead accentuate it. Enhance your natural beauty by using light and neutral colors that can go from day to night like the EB Ulitmatte Eyeshadow Palette. Add dimension to your face with the EB Sculpt and Strobe Stick which are best for contouring and highlighting. Be the blushing bride that you are with the EB Matte Blush-on in Willow—a blush color shade that’s not too pale or too dark. Lastly, complete your look with your choice of EB Matte Liquid Lipstick.

Relax and enjoy. Planning your wedding can get pretty nerve-wracking. But remember to take a breather! Set up a spa appointment alone or with your friends. Let your team take care of all the small details and just enjoy one of the most important moments in your life.

How To Pull Off The “No Makeup” Makeup Look

Catriona Gray is wearing the Ever Bilena's Matte Nude Lipstick in Dolce

Looking your best natural self does not need expensive skin treatments or regular trips to the salon. The secret lies in confidence coupled with a few essential makeup products to sport the barely-there makeup look.

The country’s leading cosmetics brand, Ever Bilena, shares some useful tips and essential makeup products to keep in your makeup bag to pull off the “no makeup” makeup look:

Tip #1: Wash, rinse, moisturize

To truly achieve the all-natural makeup, forego the foundation. Instead, prep the skin by cleansing it with your preferred facial wash then exfoliate to brighten and smoothen your complexion. Finish off with a moisturizer and sunscreen so that you face is protected and fully hydrated.

Tip #2: Conceal

The trick to a healthy and fresh complexion is spot-concealing any blemishes and redness using your concealer brush. However, for dark circles, use your ring finger to pat on the concealer as it has the lightest pressure.

Tip #3: Groom the brows and lashes

One way of opening up the eyes is by grooming the brows. This way, you only need to brush up the brow hairs using a spoolie or brow mascara and you’re good to go. Add definition to the lashes by swiping it with mascara.

Tip #4: Choose shades that are close to your skin color

For bright, wide-awake eyes, apply eye shadow that’s close to your skin tone. Your safest bet is light brown. Gently apply shadow from the lash line and blend upwards, fading as it gets closer to your brow.

For cheeks, cream blush easily gives the natural-looking glow. With a synthetic brush or your fingers, apply blush on the apples of the cheeks and blend upward toward hairline. This makeup trick instantly makes you look youthful.

Tip #5: Go for Ever Bilena’s Matte Nude Lipstick

The last step to complete the barely-there makeup look is a good nude lipstick. Luckily, Ever Bilena offers a new line of matte nude lipsticks where each stick is infused with antioxidants and moisturizer so the lips feel soft, smooth and supple despite the matte formula. Retailing at P165, it comes in six colors namely Dolce, Amore, Fia, Bellissima, Caramello and Baci. Each shade is perfect for different skin tones.

Looking your best natural self is easily achievable with the help of Ever Bilena. Products are available at any Ever Bilena counters at leading supermarkets, drugstores, convenience stores and department stores nationwide. EB Cosmetics Korea Facial Foam Cleanser, Instant Whitening Cream and Aqua Moisturizing Cream Reviews

EB Cosmetics Korea Facial Foam Cleanser
EB Cosmetics Korea Aqua Moisturizing Cream
EB Cosmetics Korea Instant Whitening Cream
Bought for: P15/P18/P18
Bought from: Watsons

In my brief trip to Watsons a few weeks ago, I spotted these new skin care products from EB Cosmetics. It's no stranger to me that they also mass-producing beauty items apart from their wide array of affordable makeups, but these really caught my attention. Their names look familiar? Very iWhite Korea lol. I'm pretty sure that's what pops into your heads as well, no? Aside from that fact, they also come in cute bright sachets, no wonder your eyes will lay easily on them while your looking through shelves of alike products.

PACKAGING

I really can't help but admire the chicness of their packaging especially the one that comes in pink color. I personally don't like bright shades but here I am right now, drooling over the cutesy of their designs. They don't come in tubes of bottles as of late (correct me if I'm wrong), so you have to be careful when you bring this anywhere you go as actions may squeeze the products out and create a mess on your bag. However, those who are in tight budgets like me and those who want to try out samples first before buying full sized products, them coming in sachets is very helpful then, don't you agree?

EB Cosmetics Korea Facial Foam Cleanser

This product is transparent white in shade, has a subtle floral fragrance and foams richly once applied on skin. You don't have to squeeze out a lot because a little of it goes a long way already. Unlike other foam cleansers which seem firm and thick, this one has thinner consistency and is smooth on the touch. I am not really a fan of foam cleanser (most of them caused me to severely break out), but this one feels more gentle on skin and did not break me out once. Also, I did not experienced the sudden breakouts I usually am having because of the transition from previous skincare to new ones. What I advise you to do is slowly incorporate new products on your trusted ones to avoid irritating the skin.

Claims and Ingredients

This product claims to purify skin, remove oil and makeup residue while maintaining your skin's natural moisture. I would say it lives up to its promise of deep cleansing the skin because every time I use a cotton with cleanser or toner on it, dirt and oil seem to be less and less noticeable. However, it fails on its claim to maintain skin's natural moisture for its drying on skin. I expect it to be since all foam cleanser I have tried tightens and dry out my skin big time.

EB Cosmetics Korea Aqua Moisturizing Cream

The formula of Aqua Moisturizing Cream is similar to that of iWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizing Cream--very lightweight as it only feels like applying water (with a teeny bit of moisture) on your skin. iWhite Korea's more tinted and looks like droplets of water once blended though and EB Cosmetic's sheerer. Both easily blends on the skin and dries fast as well without leaving skin looking oily. Overtime though, my skin feels a little bit greasy once my natural oils start to blend with the product so I have to either blot or douse some powder onto it. I kind of expect it because I have super oily skin.

This product does all its claim and I can vouch for that. Since the facial foam cleanser is a bit drying on the skin, I can't help but reach for a reliable moisturizer that will effectively and sufficiently moisturizes the skin without the heavy feeling oily skinned girls dreaded. Good thing, I have this Aqua Moisturizing Cream that instantly hydrates the skin, gets rid of tautness and makes skin soft and smooth. Using this with other EB Cosmetic products did cause me any adverse reactions.

EB Cosmetics Korea Instant Whitening Cream

This product is a creamy white, sort of whipped cream textured moisturizer that instantly brightens out skin tone. Be careful not to apply too much as it creates strong white cast due to titanium dioxide, a known ingredient for sunscreen products or those that are SPF-based. Although it does not say exactly that this cream has an SPF protection on it, I presume it protects skin even a tiny bit from sun exposure due to this ingredient. And now that I say this, I wish EB Cosmetics would improve on their product descriptions.

This product did not break me out even though it feels warm on the skin -- due to its thicker formulation than the Aqua Moisturizing Cream. Although this product delivers moisture and make skin look smooth and supple, I still prefer lighter creams.

Moreover, this product is not a good base under foundation for it makes it and even powders look cake-y and the white cast is a bit of a turn-off. You know that I don't like putting heavy coverage on my skin 'cause I like it looking naturally fresh. On lazy days (which is pretty much every day), I prefer putting Aqua Moisturizing Cream and this alone and would layer it with a transparent powder. I was shocked 'cause my skin looked patchy and dry because of extreme white cast. I even looked ghostly pale! It's either you put only a small amount and make sure to blend it evenly using a powder brush instead of your hands (avoid this!!!) to avoid clumping and such. Also, I hate that this cream clings on pores and dry patches of the skin on the first few hours so whenever I sweat , the cream kinds of float on my skin. As a result, I have to check myself in the mirror every now and then to make sure it stays on place.

From left to right: Instant Whitening Cream, Aqua Moisturizing Cream, Facial Foam Cleanser

Here is a close up picture using all three products. I have to only use a very small amount of Instant Whitening Cream all the time because it feels a little greasy for my preference. My skin looks dewy and more even toned. All it takes is a bit of powder and you're good to go! Fresh skin lang ang peg lol.

Sorry for the shameless selfie!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I do like these products. I can't tell which is my first pick. Is it the Facial Foam Cleanser or the Aqua Moisturizing Cream? I can't decide! But definitely the Instant Whitening Cream is on my least favorite just because I find it a little bit harder to blend than the other one. Before I leave you to ponder with these whether on not you should try, here's some pieces of advise. Apply only a small amount of the products on your skin. They go a long way already. You probably might not like it if you apply too much foam because it is drying and too much creams results to greasiness. I recommend both Aqua Moisturizing and Instant Whitening Cream to everyone--whether you have dry or oily skin--just put in sufficient amount and do not overdo. These products are also made up of lots of natural ingredients and plant extracts which makes skin healthy and youthful!

Tell me if you are to try EB Cosmetics products! Happy blogging!

I won Ever Bilena Naturals October Contest!

Being an avid joiner of giveaways, I keep trying on my luck especially if it's like a fill-in-the-blank or question and answer portion because I'm not really lucky when it comes to random draw. So then I came across a sponsored post by Ever Bilena Naturals wherein their mechanics were so simple: Participants must share their sort of favorite skin treatment using natural ingredients. Since I only have limited budget (student problems), it's not something new to me because I always do DIYs with all the organic and natural stuff that are hidden in the corners of our kitchen. Aside from this are other basic mechanics like liking their page and sharing their promo poster which I did.

Surprisingly, I was one of the ten lucky winners to receive a whooping P2K worth of products from EB Naturals. All I did was forward my mailing address, name and contact number and before I knew it, the parcel was already at the door. My mother was really curious asking me where I got those or are they stuff I sell. I told her no and that they are prizes from which I won. I had her open it and she was really amazed with the number of products there are, I kind of think how they fit into one LBC pouch lol. Anyway here are the contents!

EB Naturals Whitening Lotions with Collagen
EB Naturals Whitening Lotions with Argan Oil
EB Naturals White Hand and Body Lotion in Papaya with UV Protection
EB Naturals White Hand and Body Lotion in Cucumber with UV Protection
White Hand and Body Lotion with Bengkoang Extract

I think I was given a couple of the lotion with Argan Oil which my mom asked if she can have.

EB Naturals Daily Sunscreen Moisturizing Lotion for the Body
EB Naturals Daily Sunscreen Moisturizing Lotion for the Face

I plan on writing reviews about this duo, well, to most products in here in fact.

EB Naturals Aromatic Oil in Lavender
EB Naturals Aromatic Oil in Ginger and Lime

I received four aromatic oils. The other two, I think, were snatched by mama and papa. Lol. I love how the scent instantly soothes headaches and dizziness. Perfect for commuting especially I always hated air-conditioned vehicles.

EB Naturals Hand Cream in Sweet Rose

For the hand cream, I originally had two. I gave the other one to my mom. I think its name is Feline Floral? Anyway, such cute containers! I love it and its scent!

EB Naturals Kojic+Papaya Skin Lightening Soap
EB Naturals Kojic+Collagen Skin Lightening Soap
EB Naturals Whitening Papaya Soap
EB Naturals Skin Lightening Kojic Soap

Too many soaps! I wonder when they would last for family use. We’ll feast on it! Yey!

So those are the products I won from EB Naturals giveaway. I am so lucky to win everything but I feel luckier to have people I could share all these with. Perfect for Christmas! By the way, hello December, our favorite month!

Ever Bilena Daily Sunblock Whitening Lotion

You can easily discern heat and humidity in tropical countries whether it be summer or any season. That's just how extreme heat could be, thus sunblock is necessary. And currently, sunblock for summer is what I am watching out for--affordability is a criteria of course! But due to frequent disappointment from trying out cheaper sunblocks in the market (which do not meet my expectations) made me more finicky especially to product formulation.

Anyway, on my last visit to SaveMore, I searched for some daily sunblocks which I could use for my OJT since it would be a long commute from Valenzuela to Makati and I'd definitely get exposed to sun that much. I spotted it on the lowest shelves on the skin care section and it retails for only P180, guessed it would be a catch. If, in anyway, it's another disappointment, then I just had to keep reminding myself that it would still end up on my to-review list.

Ever Bilena Daily Sunblock Whitening Lotion, 100ml
Bought for: P180
Bought from: SaveMore; also available in leading supermarkets, department stores and drugstores nationwide

This product comes in a tube--my most favorite skin care kind of packaging because squeezing is just as easy as counting one to three plus you get to easily control the amount to dispense. And it's hygienic, may I just add.

All the claims are clearly enumerated above. So the question is: Is it true to its claims?

But first off, I wanted to checkout the ingredient list. To be honest, I did not dare reading the information at the back of the product prior to purchasing because my mom was quite in a hurry so yeah, I just grabbed it and decided to just further check it out when I get home. It's come what may.

Gosh, I have easily spotted some harmful chemicals (Parabens!)!

Another thing I really can't believe is how it deceived me so easily with the huge UVA and UVB Protection label when it's not really indicated in the packaging the SPF level of the product. Seriously, I can't find it anywhere! Should I whack the tube open now? I feel so terrible for not realizing it earlier. Had I figured it out, I never should have bought it in the first place.

It has a creamy consistency, like a whip cream except this one is thicker and more viscous. And it's definitely greasy to the touch. I cry. The very first time I blended it on my palms, oh, boy, I knew it would be greasy, the kind I would not EVER like to use during summer when I perspire a lot and in desperate need of a lightweight and easily-absorbed formula.

For review purposes, I gave it a try. I don't want to sound like it's all obligation but my disappointment is just overflowing while I am typing this blog post out. I tested it for two weeks and I badly want to just stop.

The photo above shows the product in a slightly blended state. It's streaky, creamy white and due to its thick consistency, it took time to seep through my pores. My patience was explicitly tested. On a lighter note, it could be a brightening lotion for you, guys, but make sure to fully and patiently blend it.

White cast clearly clings to the folds of my palm. Everytime I applied it to my body, my pores seem to double up. It does create obvious streaks on my skin which is something I have been forgiving about but the greasy feeling tormented me big time so still, it's a no-no.

I don't know of its sun protecting abilities but I haven't been under too much sun lately yet I could say that my skin brightened up after two weeks of use.

I'd say this is still worth your try. I do not fully give my highest recommendation though. But who knows, right? This might be the best daily sunblock for you!

Quick Review: Ever Bilena Silkening Body Spray in 'Lovely in Pink'

Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you my current favorite cologne and it's no other than...(drum rolls) Ever Bilena Silkening Body Spray in 'Lovely in Pink'! Just how ironic, it has a Pink in the name when it's obviously Purplish in shade! :)))

Ever Bilena Silkening Body Spray in 'Lovely in Pink', 236ml
Bought for: P210
Bought from: SM Supermarket

As you can see, it's a dupe for Victoria's Secret-- they almost have the same color, same packaging (except for the shape), same scent and attack. But that does not change the fact that they still differ from each other in lots of ways.

First off, this smells like, ugh, how do I say this? But it smells really feminine with a combination of sweet and citrusy scent. If, however, you prefer manly fragrances (which I also do), then I guess, you won't really like this. It smells so clean and floral which isn't strong for me, but I know some might find this a little overwhelming.

Also, I have no problem spritzing as it comes with an easy-squeeze pump. If you want to bring some on smaller pouches, I guess you may have to transfer some liquids on smaller vials too because it's quite bulky for travel use.

The only downside I have with this one is how easy the scent fades (one-two hours at max). Well, you don't have to worry about spraying too much as it's really inexpensive, right? Still, I think I won't repurchase the same variant and would gladly try the others but after road-testing them, I'll still commit for the more expensive Victoria's Secret even if I have to pay triple the price. At least, it's long-wearing!

So...what do you think of this cologne? Yay or nay? Comment below! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna
