Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel Review

Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel, 100ml
Bought for: P300
Bought from: Althea Philippines

Claims: Softy removes dead skin cells with its Microcrystalline Cellulose (anti-caking scrub), Goat Milk Extract (moisturizing, conditioning), Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract (improving skin tone and protecting skin), Scutellaria BaicalensisRoot Extract (natural preservative), Papaya Extract (conditioning skin, peeling) and Yogurt Extract (increasing elasticity and improving skin tone). Recommended for people who want improving skin tone and skin texture immediately and to people whose skin does not take cosmetics and makeup.

I hate to always give time for extra skin pampering like putting on masks or peeling gels. Most of the time I only have to let them sit on my skin for a maximum of five to ten minutes once to thrice a week. Can't really stand the long hours of doing nothing because I'm afraid the sheet will fall off my face once I do something. In fact, the last time I hoarded mask sheets was like months ago. And would you be surprised if I tell you I only used two of what I have? For wash off or peeling masks, although I have A LOT in my stash, only a few made it to my product empties because I ended up tossing them away, selling them or giving them as giveaway prizes. And because, I have found another product to put on my face months ago which really sold me, here's a review which I think is a bit premature since I haven't finished the tub yet. I actually have another one which I bought with Skin Food Rice Mask Wash-off and which I ended up selling again.

Please don't assume that I am an impulsive buyer, well, I was once (lol) but I'm totally changed. I bought extra masks when I won Althea Credits months ago, okay? Why am I so defensive here lol.

Anyway, the point is, I am so excited to share with you my thoughts about this Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel  because it's just one of the few skin care products which I happened to like and use religiously in my skin care routine. Just like what I have said, I used to have an extra tub then but I realized I needed more cash so I sell it.

If you are an ingredient-conscious like me, here's for yah. I just hope you can read the words above because they are too dinky to be read. I also included the description on the product box just in case you can read Korean. I don't.

The container of the product is very simple--it comes in a small jar with very appealing bright pink sticker. It also comes with an inner plastic lid that seals in freshness. I think product with inner lids are very tricky since you would have to take extra care where to put it once you use the product itself. I like to toss them away because they add hassle but not when a spatula is provided. Also, I like that this has a spatula so I would not have to use my fingers to scoop up product. Very hygienic, indeed.

The spatula looks like small spoon with a hollow on the middle so you can scoop a good amount with ease. Others only have flat surface so getting product is more challenging.

If the description is written in Korean which basically is unreadable to me, at least it displayed its expiry date below. Hmmm, look who's got a long shelf life!

For me, the product smells nice and mild and I don't think anyone would find it off-putting. Well, I think it has a sweet scent like yogurt, definitely because it has yogurt. I'm talking non-sense. Oh c'mon, you know I'm bad at describing scents!

The product comes in a pearly white shade and the consistency is somehow of an average thickness. In fact, if reminds me very much of iWhite Korea 2-minute Miracle Special Wash-off Mask. The process and effects are almost the same too.

After I wash my face, I would pat it dry. I would scoop a pea-sized amount and would apply it on my face. Unlike the iWhite Korea variant, I need not to wait for a minute before the product turns watery on my skin which signals that it's ready for some peeling. With Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel, once I put the formula on my skin, I would instantly rub it and there I found some peeled looking skin falling off which, of course, is not skin. It is the product with your dead skin cells being absorbed by the peeling gel. Amazing, huh. Kindly take a look on the photo below so you know how it works. ;)

The photo above is not filtered and my skin did not really achieve a tone fairer but I don't know with my cam lol. However, you can spot the difference on the texture of my skin. The last photo, when compared on the first, looks firmer and brighter. It also feels softer and smoother because the tiny peeled skin also acts as a scrub so there's something to make rough areas disappear. Using almost the full content of one tub makes my pimples marks slightly lighten in shade so this must be a really good product which is highly recommended whatever skin type you have! This also does not cause me pimples or zits even during the first times of usage. With only a pea-sized per application, a tub would definitely lasts for months! In fact, I had mine for 4 months already (two times per week). Whoops!

Anyway, I have been wanting to try another peeling gel so do you have something in mind to recommend? Please let me know! Til my next post! Happy blogging!

October Top Organic Favorites

Opulence Sweet Pink Facial Mousse Cream, P388
Leiania House of Beauty Ultra Moist and Tone Whitening Lotion, P770 (on sale)
Skin Lush by Pacey Gluta Body Scrub, P350
Leiania House of Beauty Tea Tree Fresh Organics Face Absorbent Paper, P135

Hi, everyone! How are you enjoying the long vacation? I know you're all busy, you might ended up in different places right now, probably to visit your loved ones. Me? Oh, no, just enjoying my bed and my laptop because unfortunately, it would be the last semestral break for a graduating student like me provided of course that I graduate. Lol! Anyway, I've been spending more than the usual amount of time I allot for blogging for the same reason, thus, another blog post for you. Since October's about to end, let me share with you a few of my personal picks for this month.

1. Opulence Sweet Pink Facial Mousse Cream

What I like most about this is how it applies so smoothly and leaves a velvety finish on my skin. It also provide an instant bright, glowing and radiant skin every application! Using it for a straight one week yields me no adverse reaction. Full review will be provided soon.

2. Leiania House of Beauty Ultra Moist and Tone Whitening Lotion

I think this lotion will never ever be gone in my all-time favorites. Its lingering citrusy scent always caught me off-guard. It also moisturizes my skin very well without the sticky icky feeling other lotions do. And did I tell you it's composed of nothing but natural and organic ingredients? Read my review here.

3. Skin Lush by Pacey Gluta Body Scrub

This body scrub is such a holy grail. For its content, I think 300 something bucks is kinda pricey but wait til you use it! Its got a creamy formula and apricot beads with fine exfoliation level and which works well in making the skin radiant, glowing, smooth and soft after one wash! You can read my review here.

4. Leiania House of Beauty Tea Tree Fresh Organics Face Absorbent Paper

For a girl with super oily skin, blotting papers are a must-have for instant fresh skin which needs only minimal touch-ups. This absorbent papers work really good in removing oils from the skin's surface with its fresh green tea scent.

Two of the products (mousse cream and body scrub) mentioned here are sponsored but I still love them anyway. The other one (lotion) was purchased by myself for the reason that I love the first bottle which was sponsored. The absorbent papers are giveaway prizes which I have been liking ever since I received them. I know you've got a few top picks yourself in there! Care to share? Happy blogging!

Here's a review on Leiania House of Beauty Kiwi and Tea Tree Green Clay Bar which my mom and I are currently obsessing with. Okay, it's not as if I have tried a lot of soaps in the market, but I had an inference that this would really do me good prior to usage.

Lemme see the hands of organic lovers out there! If you want to unbend from using products with harsh chemicals, here's a solution for you--a product that is cruelty-free and only are composed of plant-derived ingredients. You really can't doubt Ms. Favia's products in terms of safety in formula. Moreover, this product is not only loaded with nutrients but with information too--something that will be very much appreciated by those who are very particular with complete product labeling. And look! The packaging even has stickers with manufacturing and expiry dates printed on it as well as some proof of authentication and other information.

As you can see, the bar itself looks sooooo cute with specs of Tea Tree Leaf Powder (thanks to the ingredient list!) which also acts as mild exfoliators. Since it is a two-toned bar, I kind of think that maybe the lighterand the darker side have different purposes. I'll leave it to you though. Anyway, let's talk about it as a whole lol.

The product when wet with water suds very gently. When you hold it in your palms, there seems to be a creamy feeling on the soap which I find really nice because drugstore soaps has all that same hard texture if that makes sense. The soap's texture is uber soft, thus, melts easily. It's kinda exaggerated on that part because in our case, wetting it once would already make the bar mushy. After few more days, it would be like scooping melted cream on top of soap dish. Swear! Good thing, I was used to splitting up soaps in smaller bars.

The scent could be a little overpowering for scent sensitives out there because it's reeking of Kiwi (if that is really Kiwi) which is very similar to LHOB Primea Beauty Kit with Kiwi as its main ingredient.

What I like about it is that it does not cause my skin any adverse reaction like breakouts or any kind of irritation. However, it does not really cure my current pimples too, nor provided significant results like making my skin more even toned. It also did not reduce the appearance of my pimple marks or control sebum production as it claims even after finishing the bar. On a lighter note, my mom who has an even more beautiful skin (and who fortunately was blessed with pimple-less face during her teenage years) was really ecstatic because it is the only soap that I have tried which works on her too. She, in fact, exclaimed that it makes her skin super soft and smooth and that she is really hiyang to the product. I believe my mom, of course, because she does not favor me changing soaps every now and then, yet she approved of this.

Overall, I like this soap for its gentleness, safety and exfoliation factor. If I am to repurchase, I would for my mom but for personal use? I'm having second thoughts not because this does not work satisfyingly for me but because I am still up for new discoveries. However, I do recommend it to anyone whichever skin type you have because this soap is really gentle. Anyway, if you have further question about this product, please leave a comment down below or you can simple visit Leiania House of Beauty on their following accounts: Instagram, Website, Blog, Facebook.

See you on my next post! Happy blogging!

Skin Sensation Lip and Cheek Stains Review

Skin Sensation Lip and Cheek Stains, 10 ml
Bought for: Free: Original Price: P150/each
From: Lola Online Shop (Skin Sensation)

Ingredients: Panthenol, Aloe Vera, Licorice, Phenoxyethenol, Niacinamide, Papaya Extract, Flavor and Color

When I prefer to sport a no-makeup makeup look, which honestly, is everyday, I would go for lip and cheek stains. Everyone who are close to me knows that I am not a lipstick type of person though I have a few on my stash. Most of them are still left untouched as I can't seem to liken the heavy feeling they imparts. Also, my lips are very sensitive that almost everything I put on make it super dry and chap and even trusted lip balms does nothing to cure it. That is why I am very particular to what I put on it. Sometimes, I just had to tolerate the awful reactions just to make my lips rosy and pinkish. Tiis-ganda, ganun. That is why tints which are not drying are the top priority on my to-discover list.

I have tried a lot of lip and cheek stains, be it drugstore ones, Korean products and organic lip tints, but to date, only KJM Lip and Cheek Tints and The Saem Saemmul Real Tint somehow passed my standard when it comes to non-drying lip and cheek stains. Though sometimes they could be drying too, but not when I put on some moisturizer under. Unfortunately, others do not really work well with my Vaseline. Today, here's another brand of Lip and Cheek Stains which I will be reviewing most especially for those who are lip and cheek tints addicts like me!

The product comes in a typical roll-on glass bottles which is okay for me though I really prefer the ones with a doe foot applicator as you can easily control the amount you want to put on your lips while smearing the product with ease. With roll-ons, there tends to be areas with more tints on and you still have to use your fingers to distribute the product evenly on your lips. I also appreciate the manufacturing and expiry dates presented on either cover or bottom part of the bottle wherein you can also peek through the shade inside without having to swatch the product.

Just like most of the lip tints I have tried, this one can also be drying. I guess all lip tints are since they dry into matte. However, I could compare these to KJM Lip tints in terms of the finish which is very well pigmented and how long-wearing they are. I swear, I had a hard time removing the stains during my swatching time as the tints are super long-lasting on my lips and I really had to wipe them several times and they still would not budge--I can barely remove them even until the next day! This is why I can't tell you to trust my lip swatches below as I had a lot of layers on just to make the shades pop out because there are still stains left from the first shades that I swatched. However, I did provide a hand swatch for you which are more accurate and natural-looking.

If I have to pick my top one, no make it three, I would choose Amber, Barbie and Scarlette (sorry I mispelled it on the photo) since I think they had less orange undertone which is on the least of the shade I would want. The rest of the shades Ruby, Margaret, Belle and Sassa comes in orange in different hues.

The Scarlette looks more like brown to me which I think makes me look fierce lol. At least wearing it makes me look like my face is more mature than I really am 'cause I hate it when they say that I have baby face haha! The Ruby, though I expect it to be more like bloody red in shade could have been more nicer-looking too provided that it looks more like red than red orange. The Margaret, though looks cute, is not something I would want to wear on a daily basis because I would look like someone who is obsessed with Cheese Curls (Did I spell it right? Or it is Cheez Curls? Geez.). The Barbie looks bright pink which I think is great if you want to sport some innocent look (but not in an ugly or bad way). The Amber, which looks like fuchsia to me, is really a beautiful shade. It's currently my go-to lip tint. For me, the Belle and Sassa are almost having the same shade except the Belle on is a little bit darker in terms of color.

Please bear with me as I am not really great in providing lip swatches hoho. Look, the lip swatch of Scarlette looks a bit tormented because that is the last shade I swatched and I've been having real trouble removing the first shades I tried on. However, to be honest, I like Skin Sensation Lip and Cheek Stains, not because they are sponsored but because each shade is really very pigmented, affordable, long-lasting and did I tell you how sweet their scents are??? Like candies??? Unlike most of lip tints in the market, these ones do not have any bitter taste. Though they can give a stingy feeling on spots where you have broken skin which disappears after a few seconds.

And that's all! Happy blogging!

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask Review

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask, 100g
Bought for: Free | Original Price (Discounted): P550

Claims: Formulated with carbonated water, collagen, green tea and charcoal. Carbonated water helps revitalizes complexion, make it glowing, firms and tightens the skin, removes dead skin cells, purify the pores, makes skin smooth and supple, etc. Collagen is essential for the health and appearance of your skin, and this protein is also necessary to reduce the typical signs of aging. Green Tea is also an important building block for elasticity, and its ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Green Tea contains a high amount of antioxidants as well as enzymes, amino acids, and phytochemicals like polyphenols. It also has B vitamins, folate, manganese, potassium, magnesium and caffeine. Activated charcoal draws bacteria, poisons, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the surface of skin, helping you to achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne. Charcoal is not metabolized, adsorbed or absorbed by the body, but it can be used to treat some poisonous bites and disinfect some wounds. Activated charcoal powder is proven to adsorb thousands of times its own mass in harmful substances, which makes it a popular ingredient in facial masks.

Hi, everyone! I know that with the Korean skin care trend, you're wishing for more Korean product reviews so here's one for you! This time, I am going to review Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask! By the way, I already provided the skin benefits of the key ingredients of this product, courtesy of our favorite search engine, Google of course! Lol!

First, the packaging looks very simple and again, the description on the body of the product is kind of useless for someone who does not read Korean like me. I hope there's an English translation provided so I will know what's it for. You know, searching online is a bit of a hassle but it's about gaining more information and experiences from other bloggers who have already tried it. Okay, let's be that forgiving. The product has 100g of formula so I kind of expect that it's too bulky and seems to not be so travel-friendly, unless of course, you could and is willing to spare some space for this should you wish to bring it while you travel.

I can't read the description and everything so I really don't know what to say. Lucky you if you know Korean that is why I took a photo of what's written on the box and on the product so you will have a reference.

I really like that it comes with a flat spatula, at least, the hygienic factor is there, right? With this, I do not need to use my bare hands and probably dirty hands to get some product and put it on my face. You know I have this habit to wash my face, pat it dry, do some chores before applying masks. You get the picture, don't you? There's no way I am gonna let all the bacteria spread to my face and cause more troubles on my skin now that it's not getting any better.

And since it comes with a spatula, the application has been a lot easier as I could use the spatula not only to scoop the product from the container but to spread the product evenly on the face too while I wait for it to do its wonders. Moreover, the container has an almost transparent inner lid and a space for the applicator which is nice as it could act as an extra protector so the product won't easily spill. etc.

When opened, you will immediately catch a whiff of something mild and gentle formula which I happen to like. As you can see, the product has the color of gray (grayer in person) which I presume to be because of the charcoal. The consistency is really creamy and thick, almost like goo which applies really smoothly on the skin. Spreading the product is easy using the spatula but sometimes, spreading it even more on the skin with the help of fingers while gently massaging it in circular strokes yields better experience and effects as the motion could aid in better absorption of the nutrients found in the product.

Usually, I apply a generous amount of this product on my face using the spatula (at least 1/2 teaspoon for reference) before bedtime after cleansing my face and made sure it's already patted dry. Then, I would let it sit for about 10 minutes. By then, the product already turned to a foamy/bubbly texture, hence, the name. It looks like I had bubble mask on my face which I find really cute. Haha! After all areas of my face have been covered in foam, that's the time I would massage it on my face for about 2-3 minutes to seal in the nutrients on my pores. After that, I would again leave the product on my skin for the next 5-10 minutes before rinsing it off.

After rinsing my face, I would always notice how it became radiant and glowing after almost 30 minutes of soaking my face with this mask. It also feels soft, smooth and supple. Using it at least twice to thrice a week did not cause me any adverse reaction like terrible zits (except when that time of the month comes) or skin irritation of any kind. However, aside from the instant radiant skin, I did not notice any significant lightening of my pimple marks, dark spots and blemishes on the face, It also did not heal pimples nor prevent them from coming. I did not expect this to work that way too because almost all the wash off masks I tried only yields me glowing skin which by the way, is not permanent of course. Like bad hair days, we all have bad skin days.

Because according to Althea, Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is a best seller so I though back then that I should take the chance and buy two of these when it gets even more discounted. Now, I had to sell the other one because I just don't think buying this product is really economical provided that it only makes my skin radiant, soft and smooth and does not really heal my main skin problems which are oiliness, pimples and uneven skin tone. For now, I am interested to discover more products that would address these problems and of course, you'll be the first to know when I found them! ;)

Til my next post! Happy blogging!

Leiania House of Beauty Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream Review

Leiania House of Beauty Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream
Bought for: Free | Original Price: to be updated

Claims: Packed with nature's best kept secret, Moroccan Argan Oil, a powerful antioxidant rich in Vitamin E and Collagen that increases the skin's flexibility and strength. It restores moisture and provide a barrier around the eye to help diminish wrinkle. Added with the potency of Bearberry Beta Arbutin for an all natural spot eye treatment, blemishes and bags under the eye. Glow and be radiant!

Hey, guys! I know I just turned 20 last October 19 but I guess it wasn't an excuse to take eye creams for granted if they aimed at preventing wrinkles primarily. I have no idea if my skin are threatened with wrinkles already but I pretty much don't care. Again, it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't know if I should use any anti-aging products knowing that I'm just 20 but it's pass teenage years already so yeah, I don't think it will do me bad either. Truth be told, I waited for months so I can be able to use Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream which was sent to me by Ms. Favia of Leiania House of Beauty. Without further ado, here's my thoughts about it!

Since I am a lover of anything naturally and organically-made skin care products, I was really excited to try this for myself. Aside from it being full-packed with nutrients and healthy ingredients, it is also free of harmful chemicals (like parabens) that are not good for the skin and body. By the way, I already put copied the caption above for those of you who are having trouble reading the description on the photo. Yeeha! Anyway, before we proceed, let me just share to you the skin benefits of Bearberry and Argan Oil--the key ingredients of this product.

According to healwithfood.org, "Bearberry foliage, the part of the Arctostaphylos uva-ursi plant that is most commonly used in cosmetic formulations, has been shown to effectively scavenge free radicals, unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin...bearberry leaf extract had even stronger free radical scavenging (i.e. antioxidant) properties than extracts made from wild licorice (Glycyrrhiza lepidota), senega (Polygala senega), narrow-leaved echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia), and aerial parts of two varieties of horsetail (Equisetum spp.)...the polyphenolic compounds found in bearberry leaves appeared to be responsible, at least in part, for bearberry extract's antioxidant capacity...turns out, the leaves of the Common Bearberry also contain arbutin, a natural compound that has been shown to inactivate tyrosinase, an enzyme that is responsible for skin pigmentation.

While according to arganoilworld.com.au, "Argan oil is most commonly used as a skin moisturizer to hydrate and soften skin. With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, Argan Oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy and non-irritating, which makes it a great natural moisturizer.

I actually like the packaging, it looks very...effective lol. It's house in a transparent plastic tub which has been a fail because of the surrounding stickers and the opaque white inner plastic. Sayang, I thought I could peek through the inside without opening it. Anyway, it is funny how packaging appeals to me like this nowadays huh. But no, seriously, I so appreciate it even though it is bombarded with too many information. There are really times when I wanted to spend time reading the claims and ingredients lists over and over again. Is that weird? 'Cause that always happens to me. Anyway, my point here is, I'd rather be bombarded with information than nothing at all. Complete labeling--description, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates? Check!

When opened, it actually has an inner lead which I already removed so you don't see it on the photo above. If you can make it out, you will see that the product has an off-white, thick and creamy consistency which melts on the skin upon application. It even has a cooling effect for the first few seconds which I really love because it instantly refreshes tired eyes. I pretty much rely on it every stressful night--which unfortunately, is every day. The scent is bearable too. The first time I smell it, I like it already because I am a fan of minty-scent products though there was not any mint on the ingredients? What could trigger the refreshing scent therefore huh?

Since product has a slightly thick consistency, it tends to be a bit oily on the skin that is why I stopped using it for my face although it says on the claims that it can be ideal for face use. Breakouts had been another problem. Since I have never been fond of using oils for my skin, because most of the time, they tend to cause me breakouts, I decided to stop so the zits will also stop from popping out of nowhere. It works though. The number and sizes of pimples reduces after the termination. I guess this product, due to thick consistency, tends to have comedogenic formula. With that, I do not recommend it for face use for those with oily skin type.

So I gave up and decided to just keep the application limited to eye area and since then, I have been loving how it imparts cooling effect on my bags and how I managed to wake up like I had full eight hours of sleep. Also, continuous use reduces the darkness around my eyes.

I guess, aside from it causing me to breakout, there's no other downside which I happen to discover from it. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised how it works its wonder on the area around my eyes. I just have to keep in mind never to let it slip the barricade to areas out of my eye zone and it will be a nice night company.

That's it! If you have other questions, feel free to visit Leiania House of Beauty on their Website, Blogsite, Facebook and Instagram account! Happy blogging!

Nature Republic Provence Calendula Daily Sun Block SPF 50+ PA +++ Review

Nature Republic Provence Calendula Daily Sun Block, 57ml
Bought for: P460 (higher on stores)

Claims: A daily sunblock for the whole year round for sun protection, whitening, and wrinkle care. With Chamomile and Calendula Extracts which soothe the skin well and its pink base makes the skin one naturally bright and glowing. Rich and fresh formula is free from parabens, mineral oil and artificial colors minimizing the risk of skin irritations and making it suitable for all skin types. Creamy texture is soft and it gives light wearing without stickiness.

Regardless of the time of the day, I know that wearing sun block is a must. That is why even at night, I prefer to wear moisturizers with SPF on it because while sun is considered as the main source of harmful UV radiation, UV lamps, arc welding, mercury vapour lamps etc can also emit UV rays which can accelerate aging and other terrible effects. It's better to be safe than sorry, right?

Honestly, I prefer purchasing foundations with built-in SPF to save time applying two different products. However, I was lured to buying a separate sunblock last summer when I was commuting to Makati from Valenzuela for my OJT. And holy fudge, it was summer when the sun's rays are the warmest so it made me decide to purchase a sun protection product without consulting to blogs prior to buying. I regret it though because using it was a total mistake. Yes, for its price, I was really disappointed. To know why, please keep on reading.

The packaging is really nice as it comes in a tube which allows easy product dispensing. I just don't appreciate the description part which is written in Korean letters. I understand it was made from Korea but users are not only Koreans so why not provide a separate portion where it's translated to a universal language so everybody can understand. Even the back part of the box is useless. Anyway, if you can read Korean, then you have no problem anymore.

Hey! I found this! Thank goodness, the ingredient list is written in English. For those who are an avid user of anything paraben-free, go for this. And if you are very scent-sensitive, I think you would like it as it smells mild and gentle.

To be honest, the thing that I abhor about this product is the consistency and how it looks on my skin. First, the consistency is, yes, soft and creamy, yet thick and greasy. The swatch provided below does not do justice on how shiny it looks on skin because my hands are really dry and are in dire need of moisture. The moment I put the pink-base formula on my face, there is an obvious brightening effect which could look really awkward for me who has a yellow undertone. I try it for the second time and put only half of what I put on the first time but the effect is still the same. Sometimes, I find it quite hard to blend on skin and as much as I want to get rid of the white cast, it just don't happen. I try to think that maybe it is the result of the high sun protection the formula has but it if strives to give me this look, I would be much more willing to switch to a sunscreen that dries to a barely-there finish rather than dewy. I bet there's ton in the market. Products which offer dewy finish do not really go well with my oily skin. It just don't.

I also try to apply this under makeup but it made application quite hard because it results to patchiness. It claims to be light-wearing but I do not really see it as one as it triggers abnormal oil buildup on the surface of my skin and when it mixes with my facial oils... hallelujah. I know you won't want to look like an oil depot, right? With this, I do not recommend it for those who have oily skin. It, claiming to be good for all skin types, is really ridiculous.

Though this did not flare me up nor cause me irritation, I would still prefer not to repurchase. I would still want those who have a lighter consistency and dries to a matte finish with the same claims and benefits. Please be advised that all the things I have said in here are based on my own opinion and experience. Also, who knows some people out there consider Nature Republic Provence Calendula Daily Sun Block a favorite? It just depends on our own preference, okay? Hihi! Loreal Gel Intenza 36H Eyeliner in Profound Black Review

Loreal Gel Intenza 36H Eyeliner in Profound Black, 2.8g
Bought for: P400
Bought from: Beautymnl

Claims: An easy-to-use long-lasting gel liner that lines eyes with rich, make-a-difference pigments; luxuirous gel texture glides on easily; long-wearing formula lasts up to 24 hours without smearing; fitted with a professional-inspired brush for seamless application.

Back in high school, I remembered that it was not yet about the eyebrow craze, rather, each of my classmates were obsessed with cat eyes and so do I. Since the school administration was forbidding the wearing of makeup to class, we took our chance every time we're having school-related activities just to be able to wear cat eyes in different length and width as we wished. I also remember having to borrow those cheap liquid eyeliners from friends because I do not have one. Spotting Loreal Gel Intenza 36H Eyeliner on Beautymnl brings nostalgic memories to me especially now that I'm graduating from college. Actually, the Loreal Gel Intenza 36H Eyeliner is not just the first ever gel liner I owned, but honestly the very first eyeliner I bought with a brand name.

As you can see, the product comes in a small fragile glass jar with a sleek-designed gold cover. Maybe this is why this product does not dry fast as long as preserved in a closed compartment if not used. Another thing why it standout is that while some of the few brand competitors's gel liners I have tried dry fast, this one stays strong preventing the air from entering the jar (*proper storage is still the main key though). In fact, this gel liner has been with me for a year already and the consistency is still good as new.

By the way, it's currently on sale at 50% off at Beautymnl but the packaging does not feel like it. I mean the whole thing looks classy and high-end. It even comes with a professional eyeliner brush with dense hair that offers precision application. However, I find it not slim enough to give me that thin cat eye I would want to sport, still, I can work with it by twisting the handle side ways so I get the thinner angle.

The product itself looks really dark like jet black and which dries into matte. Unlike other liquid and gel liners, this one does not have that shiny finish so if you prefer matte than those, you will definitely like this. Also, it does not have any strong scent to it. I smelled it again just now and I can't smell anything which is good especially for those who are scent-sensitives. However, even if it smells awful, I would still

The product has a 2.8g content of eyeliner but even that number can't compare to how many times you could use this product. In other words, super sulit, especially you only need a very tiny amount to line your eyes. True to its claim, this product glides easily on skin without tugging. However, be informed that the product dries fast once scooped up so make sure to apply it on your eyes as fast as you can to avoid tugging. If you are someone who likes to smear eyeliners for that smokey eyes, smear as fast as you can while it's still wet! And because of its fast-drying formula, I advise that you seal the product close as soon as you finished using it or if you can, try to shut the jar close every now and then even during the application process to make sure that less air could pass through.

See, the product really looks dewy but does not leave a finish like what you see above. And look at the used part! I tried bringing it during our advertising activity when we need to dress really presentable and corporately and a lot of my friends asked me to let them use it and look what's left! We even barely consumed a quarter size! Take note that I used it a lot of times prior to our activity. Yes, this product is very economical to use. Your 400 bucks is super worth it, let alone the discounted price to avail a jar this size!

By the way, a swatched below is provided for your own reference. The first photo displays the swatch of the product. Look how precise the application can be and the million-dollar-looking pigmentation it offers. When kept dry, this product does not smear at all. I don't have oily lids to begin with so it does not really smears on me but I have a friend who tried it on the day of our activity and she got oily lids, therefore, this product smears on her. Too bad. The second and the third photo probe this as well. With this, I do not recommend it to those who have oily eyelids unless you use an eye primer just so it stays longer. The last photo shows what's left after I tried putting pressure while rubbing the product with water. Most of the product got washed off but the residue could tell us that this product is really fighting to be long-watering. Of course, you would hate it more if it's really hard to remove even when provided with soap and water, right?

Overall, I love it! Not just me but all of my friends who tried it! They even asked me where and how much I did spend for it because they were really amazed! This is definitely a product worth gushing and recommending for and yes, I would definitely be repurchasing since it's affordable and works well on me!

Skin Food Rice Mask Wash off Review

Skin Food Rice Mask Wash off
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P310

Claims: A wash-off mask that transforms skin into a pure and soft texture and contains rice bran water. This contains rice extract that moisturizes skin and brightens tone. With its texture of ground rice, it leaves skin bright, soft and lustrous.

I know that part of a Korean skin care routine is to apply masks every night but for someone who does not have much time in the world, it's always next to impossible. That's probably why it took me months before I finally am able to post a review about Skin Food Rice Mask Wash-off. Using it at least four times a week for two months (by then, the tub's content are already fully consumed), I think now is the proper time to post a review about it. I actually had an extra tub because according to Althea, this product is a Skin Food Bestseller. I tried to probe this by going to their SM North branch and the saleslady told me that it's always out of stock. Woohoo. However, I sold my extra tub for a cheaper price on Shopee (@hannapoleng) because I am making way for new discoveries and I badly need some moolah for high-end skin care which I'm currently saving up for. You know, extra effort is needed for someone who does not earn money every month. Student problem, it is.

To give you some background about rice extract, here are the following skin benefits of this ingredient as listed by One Good Thing By Jillee. According to her, "Rice water contains vitamins, minerals and amino acids which are essential for beautiful skin, including ferulic acid, which is a great antioxidant, and allantoin, known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties." With that, rice water can be a "facial cleanser, acne treatment, treatment to eczema and irritated skin, a sunburn soother, hair rinse and hair conditioner." And believe me, making rice water is as easy as getting the water you used for cleaning the soaked rice! So make sure that next time, you save your rice water especially if you're struggling with the following skin problems stated above!

The packaging looks really cute for me. It comes in a medium-sized plastic tub with a tight twistable cover with sticker that's full of information about the product. I think those written in the Korean are just translations of those written in English though I'm not really sure as I don't read Korean lol. Anyway, I have them photographed so you may check them out. Moreover, the complete labeling with benefits, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates are there printed. At least they are very transparent, right? This is my first time trying out a skin care product from Skin Food so I'm quite impressed for that matter. I don't know how it happened, but the organic look of the packaging makes me want to instantly trust this product lol. I don't know if it's just me or if ever I'm making any sense here. Haha!

When opened, you will see this tiny plastic lid with that label "Skin Food since 1957" engraved on it and which I happened to notice just now. Whoo! They have been living for decades already!? Strong! That's probably why their fonts are very 'ancient' and most of their ingredients have been used since early periods and are part of skin care tradition. Amazing! And probably, this is the reason why I feel like they are really trusted and proven. On the other hand, I have been used to Korean masks with spatula on it, but this one has none. This only meant that you must be extra careful especially when scooping up products to make sure it won't be contaminated with any bacteria. Use clean hands only!!!

When opened, you will see the creamy white formula of the product with those tiny lumps. I'm sorry I have to make the photos darker because I want you to see the lumps. I don't know whether they are synthetic jellies or soft rice grains. Lol. Whichever they are, they really feel cushiony on the face. I also like the scent of this product which isn't too overpowering.

For my application, I usually apply a half teaspoon amount on my face thrice or four times a week before bed time when I have more time to do it. Of course, I have to make sure first that my skin is clean and damp prior to application. This makes me feel like my face can't be any more ready to absorb any nutrients this wash-off mask can offer. Then, I would normally massage the product on my skin using a circular motion for a span of 3-5 minutes not just to increase blood circulation but to make my skin better absorb the product. After that, I would normally let the product sit on my face for a few more minutes before washing it off. The result? I'd love to tell you that this makes my skin instant soft, smooth, hydrated and glowing! Though it did not really lighten pimple marks or dark spots or any skin imperfections within two months of usage, I still unbelievably like it because it is a good moisturizer for the skin. Seriously, I think I need not to apply moisturizer afterwards because my skin does not feel taut or dry after using this.

And because it is a good hydrator, I would highly recommend it to those with sensitive and dry skin because of the super gentle/mild formula it has that could brighten up dull skin. Using this did not cause me any irritation nor any painful feeling so it's really a must-have. Though this product does not really prevent breakouts nor reduce sebum production, I would still recommend it for those with oily, oily combination  and pimple-prone skin with the same reason that it's gentle on skin and is affordable too. However, I do not guarantee that it will not cause you any adverse reaction because who knows you might be allergic to some components of this product so I would still suggest that you do a patch test prior to using this especially if you are living with sensitive skin. It is for your own safety, dear.

So...yeah, that's it! Thanks for dropping by! Happy blogging!
