November 2017 Favorites

So I have noticed that I'm not sharing with you, girls, my top picks for each month. I'm starting anew so here are the products which proudly made it to my November favorites! I will just give a brief summary about each of them and will discuss more of them in detailed posts soon.

1. Tiny Buds Rice Baby Powder

I didn't think I would like a baby powder this much. There's been an ongoing debate about whether or not talc powders are safe for everyday use. And while I've been dousing Johnson's Baby Powder since I was a newborn, it feels safer if I just settle for something like this which keeps my skin as smooth as a baby's bum and matte with only a very sheer coverage.

2. Seoul Skin Kiss and Blush Tint

This product is manufactured in Korea but is quite popular with beauty enthusiasts here in the Philippines. To be honest, this isn't the most pigmented tint I have ever tried nor close to one but I like how the subtle flush of color makes it a perfect fit for my every day natural look.

3. Maybelline Matte Poreless Foundation in Warm Nude

Having been born with large pores and oily skin, I'm always in the lookout for well-raved foundations that are suitable for those who are struggling with severe sebum production. This foundation blends easily and dries matte on my skin and I love how buildable the coverage can be. It oxidizes just like most foundations I have, but its lightweight texture and matte finish are something that made it stand out.

4. The Face Shop Designing Brows in Gray and Dark Brown

Aside from its fair price point, I like how natural it looks while carefully filling out the sparse parts of my brow. It lasts a decent amount of time on my oily face and because of that, I'm loving it!

5. Mario Badescu Drying Cream

If you haven't read my review about this product, better check it out by clicking this. I just love how it reduces the appearance of redness on my skin and dries out pimples in only a few applications. It truly stinks (some may not find the scent tolerable) but who would care if it works!

6. Makeup World Matte Lipstick in Cairo

I actually love all the shades of Makeup World matte lipsticks. Each of them are very affordable at only P150/each but the consistency and color are to die for. I find them matte but not flat and pigmentation is on top quality as well. I'm finding myself reaching for different shades of nudes to pinks every day for they are perfect to wear on a daily basis.

Anad that's it! Hope you can give these products some try! I'm loving them and who knows they might be your very own holy grail products as well!

Top Skin Care and Makeup Products for June

It's been quite a few months since the last time I posted a monthly favorites. I have few stuff which I have been using frequently the past few days for they have been giving me good results. Here are they and some quick facts about them!

This product makes it so easy for me to clean my face especially if I have heavy makeup on. It also smells refreshing and is not harsh on the skin nor causing me to breakout.

2. Purederm Spot Reducer Gel Patches

At first, I did not think I would like it until I got huge pimples on my face and it was able to reduce their size and completely dry them up in three days time. From then on, I made sure I never run out of this for emergency purposes (lol).

3. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer

This is, by far, the best highlighter for me this month. It gives me that natural glow or that most blinding highlight like a superstar depends on how intense I want it to be. It is also long-wearing and applies beautifully.

4. Glam Republic Organic Whitening Face and Body Cream SPF20

This cream smells heavenly! It also provides hydration, moisture and that gorgeous brightening effect! During those times when I don't feel like layering foundations or BB Creams on, this and some dust of powder is already enough to give me that naturally fresh look I want.

5. KKOT Essence Lip Tint Balm

This is one of the best lip balms for me because it gives instant hydration and moisture to my lips while giving it a natural pinkish stain. With this, I do not have to apply drying tints or lippies anymore.

And these are my top picks this June! Care to share yours? Happy blogging!

January 2017 Favorites

Before I get back to doing my thesis today (and a lot more stuff), let me share to you all the best products I have tried for January 2017! I picked 5 products this time and let's see if you think the same.

1. Belo SunExpert Perfecting Shield Tinted Suncreen, P449

This sunscreen looks more like a BB Cream to me because of the tinted texture and finish. I love it because it does not feel tacky when applied nor leaves your skin looking oily. At the same time, it won't accentuate your dry patches on skin. Though it has a whopping SPF50, it still looks good even in flash photography. Read my review here.

2. Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation, P350

This foundation really does what its called--makes skin luminous and bright after application. Having super oily skin, it's a blessing to find a base makeup that does not feel tacky and is able to provide a decent coverage minus the heavy price tag.

3. Zale Beauty Powder in Bright, P49

I go gaga with this powder because it literally makes my skin look beautiful! Apart from being a nice setting powder, it also helps reduce the appearance of pores, thus the more flawless, softer, smoother and younger look! For less than fifty bucks, this is a total cut above the rest! Read my review here.

4. Lily's Touch Diamond Polish, P750

Diamond Polish is such a nice innovation in the world of skin care. Though it does not compete with pricey salon diamond peelings in terms of effect, I put it above other facial scrubs as it instantly imparts a glowing, bright, soft and smooth skin with just a dollop to apply! Smells so nice too! Read my review here.

5. Sansan Eyelash Curler, P69

I have my San San Curler for like forever already. In fact, it's my second curler from them which I bought when I lost the older one. But I do not use them often because I am not used to applying mascaras all the time. It's only last January that I started to use it more often and I love it so much! It does not look and feel cheap, could really compete with high-end curlers.

And that's all? What's your top picks for January? Happy blogging!

Current Go-To Fragrances

Good evening, everyone! Apparently, my first day in class was supposed to be last November 03 but my professor was not able to come that day. Friday was a free day so there's only Saturday to mark the beginning of my second semester a.k.a last semester a.k.a semester before I graduate a.k.a hell semester. Whoops. To be honest, I'm kinda scared for these last few months because of the final thesis, defenses for screenings and other outputs. To refresh and get stress off of my mind, I tried including three fragrances which I like using the past few days. The scents are like stress-relievers!

I only got the Victoria Secret Fragrance Mist in Amber Romance during a swap with a fellow seller. I was really willing to trade anything for it because it's a favorite scent of mine. I remember my mom bought me this perfume and a counterpart lotion before and the scent was so heavenly--I could not forget about it. Not to mention how long-lasting VS fragrances are!

On the other hand, the Luxe Parfum in Coachella Night has a citrusy scent which is, it's kinda weird, but I like spraying it on my handkerchief during a commute where I stuff it on my nose to filter any polluting scents. The Penshoppe Pocket Scents Mia Body Spray has a note of sweetness and citrus scent which I would like to sport during lazy days just to freshen up a bit.

So these three are my go-to scent slash favorite fragrances as of the moment. Care to share yours? Happy blogging!

October Top Organic Favorites

Opulence Sweet Pink Facial Mousse Cream, P388
Leiania House of Beauty Ultra Moist and Tone Whitening Lotion, P770 (on sale)
Skin Lush by Pacey Gluta Body Scrub, P350
Leiania House of Beauty Tea Tree Fresh Organics Face Absorbent Paper, P135

Hi, everyone! How are you enjoying the long vacation? I know you're all busy, you might ended up in different places right now, probably to visit your loved ones. Me? Oh, no, just enjoying my bed and my laptop because unfortunately, it would be the last semestral break for a graduating student like me provided of course that I graduate. Lol! Anyway, I've been spending more than the usual amount of time I allot for blogging for the same reason, thus, another blog post for you. Since October's about to end, let me share with you a few of my personal picks for this month.

1. Opulence Sweet Pink Facial Mousse Cream

What I like most about this is how it applies so smoothly and leaves a velvety finish on my skin. It also provide an instant bright, glowing and radiant skin every application! Using it for a straight one week yields me no adverse reaction. Full review will be provided soon.

2. Leiania House of Beauty Ultra Moist and Tone Whitening Lotion

I think this lotion will never ever be gone in my all-time favorites. Its lingering citrusy scent always caught me off-guard. It also moisturizes my skin very well without the sticky icky feeling other lotions do. And did I tell you it's composed of nothing but natural and organic ingredients? Read my review here.

3. Skin Lush by Pacey Gluta Body Scrub

This body scrub is such a holy grail. For its content, I think 300 something bucks is kinda pricey but wait til you use it! Its got a creamy formula and apricot beads with fine exfoliation level and which works well in making the skin radiant, glowing, smooth and soft after one wash! You can read my review here.

4. Leiania House of Beauty Tea Tree Fresh Organics Face Absorbent Paper

For a girl with super oily skin, blotting papers are a must-have for instant fresh skin which needs only minimal touch-ups. This absorbent papers work really good in removing oils from the skin's surface with its fresh green tea scent.

Two of the products (mousse cream and body scrub) mentioned here are sponsored but I still love them anyway. The other one (lotion) was purchased by myself for the reason that I love the first bottle which was sponsored. The absorbent papers are giveaway prizes which I have been liking ever since I received them. I know you've got a few top picks yourself in there! Care to share? Happy blogging!

August Favorites

I don't know if it is my first time posting a month's favorites, still, let's get it on! I will also be adding mini reviews for each. Okay, let's get started! By the way, orders does not mean it's the most nor the least favorite.

1. Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder, P260, 5g

This powder has very fine pigments. It is also effective in keeping oil at bay for a good four hours with commute. It smells minty too and provides a cooling effect on the skin, thus, feels so refreshing. A little would go a long way already so a few dubs will already make a difference. You can read the full review here.

2. Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Skin Tranforming Foundation, P480, 30g

This is my love, my total favorite from all the drugstore foundations that I have tried. It suits oily skin like me, dries to a matte finish (but not flat matte), stays in place even after a whole day of perspiring activities plus humid weather. I have the shade in Classic Ivory. Full review soon.

3. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream with SPF42 in No. 23, P560, 50ml

I love this BB Cream so much! I first had the shade in No. 21 but I find it too light for my skin so I bought the No. 23 and it was my perfect shade! I like how long-lasting it is without feeling uncomfortable on skin. This is the only BB Cream that does not melt even during hot season. You stay protected with its whooping SPF 42 as well. You can read the full review here.

4. Kate Tokyo Cover Powder, P900+

This is, by far, the best press powder for me. Yes, it is kinda pricey but oh my goodness. You get all your money's worth. This has fine pigments which easily sets on skin. It feels lightweight too (thin film) with good coverage. It actually makes your skin feels like your skin but better. Full review will be posted soon.

5. Saemmul Real Tint in Red, P190, 9.6ml

Best lip tint so far. It smells so nice like strawberries and gives a fine tint on the lips that is long-wearing and non-drying. Compared to other lip tints I have, this one is a champion.

I got the Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder, Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream with SPF42 and Saemmul Real Tint on Althea for a much lower price, by the way. So that's that! Good day, everyone! Happy blogging!
