Deonat Natural Mineral Deodorant and Foot Spray Review

Deonat Natural Mineral Deodorant and Foot Spray
Bought for: Free with points | SRP: P159/each
Bought from: Sampleroom

Right now, I'm thinking of never going back to fragranced deodorants. However, I don't think it's possible because I know in my heart that this won't be the end of my journey in finding the best deodorant made in this lifetime. I live for new discoveries and experiences and I'm glad to take home good memories along the way.

Which is why I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to try these products from Deonat which according to my research, is based in Pathumthani, Thailand. Also, I read on their website that alum ingredient is their main expertise. They got my trust right then and there knowing that alum is natural and is so effective in preventing odor and skin darkening.

PACKAGING

Both comes in a typical spray bottle with pump that's so efficient. You can press it with 100% pressure to dispense a good amount of product on the skin or just half-press if you don't want to waste any. It displays loads of information about the product such as description, ingredient lists, directions for use and even the expiry and manufacturing dates found at the bottom.

DEONAT NATURAL MINERAL DEODORANT SPRAY

What I like about it is that it's all natural and application is quite easy. Though it has the tendency to drip once applied, I don't care because it felt exactly like spraying water to your pits. It has the subtlest powdery scent too.

The product takes some time to dry and feels a bit sticky the first few minutes. It eventually fades though. I like how it keeps my underarms totally odor-free the entire day and it's not a deodorant that turns smelly once you perspire. It also keeps the skin soft and hydrated all throughout. I also like the fact that it's alcohol-free, paraben-free and Aluminum Chlorohydrate-free.

One thing I noticed though is that it's not tough on sweat unlike other commercial deodorants. This isn't a major problem unless you really perspire too much there. I would suggest you opt for the powdery form of Alum if that's the case.

Nonetheless, most of its claims are true and I think another selling point of this product is the fact that it really doesn't stain shirts. Definitely no yellowing of white garments or white spots for darker clothes.

DEONAT MINERAL DEODORANT FOOT SPRAY

I don't really use foot sprays because I thought washing shoes more often than not and wearing clean socks every day is enough to keep an odor-free feet. I am not really sure if it has a pungent smell I know nothing of (no one complained yet) but I guess, it's better be safe than sorry.

I tried using Deonat Mineral Foot Spray the moment I received it from Sample Room and eventually, I noticed what difference it makes.

Even the smell of shoes are lessened. Another thing I did was smell my socks with and without this product. There, I figured out that it would be best to use a foot spray to lessen whatever odor your feet has. Again, it doesn't completely fight wetness but I love how tough the antibacterial properties of these products are.

For P159 each, I think these are really great buys. I am sure to repurchase once I ran out and definitely, the deodorant spray has become a holy grail!

Pilaten Crystal Collagen Eye Mask Review

Pilaten Crystal Collagen Eye Mask
Bought for: P79 (10pcs)
Bought from: Lazada Philippines

The first Pilaten products I've tried was the Blackhead Pore Strips. I think it's really a steal considering a sachet is quite cheap but very useful and does what it's supposed to do. Because I haven't tried an eye mask yet and was in search of affordable ones, here comes Lazada's flash sale. I was able to snag 10 pcs of these for only P79 with free shipping option.

CLAIMS

The PIL’ATEN Crystal Collagen Eye Mask will help fade dark circles under the eyes and firming eye bags to smooth the skin of eye wrinkles. The collagen technology locks water into the skin, deeply moisturizing and improving the roughness felt on the skin. The multiple nutrients in the mask replenishes the hydration in the skin and promotes elasticity.

Immediately: Instantly moisturizes eye pouch, feels fresh and fully hydrated.

Use after use: Dark circles fade out, improves eye wrinkles, gradually makes eye skin smoother.

INGREDIENTS

Water, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol, Chondrus Crispus Powder, Hydroxyethycellulose, Collagen, Aloe Barbadensis, Sargassum Pallidum Extract, Polysorbate 20, Methylparaben, Caprylhydroxamic Acid

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

1. Cleanse the skin around the eyes thoroughly before use.
2. Remove the eye mask carefully from the packaging and smooth onto the skin directly under the eye.
3. Leave applied to the skin for 15 – 30 minutes before gently pulling away from the skin.
4. Gently massage the skin around the eyes to aid absorption of the remaining fluid from the mask.

PACKAGING

The product does not look cheap at all. It has necessary information I would look up to when using something. Once torn open, there's the mask carefully placed in a plastic plate.

TEXTURE AND EASE OF APPLICATION

The mask has a jelly-like texture, very soft and bouncy. If you are not careful enough, you might tear it to two lol. The formula it's soaked with is a bit slippery but is a bit hydrating to the skin. What I probably don't like is the fact that it loses moisture very easily. I would prefer if it's well-soaked in essence like typical mask sheets.

PERFORMANCE

I like that the mask fits my eye area very well, adheres to it and also imparts a cooling sensation to the skin the first few minutes. It does not have any strong scent to it which is good.

To be honest, I didn't find anything special about this product other than the fact that it's so affordable. It feels cooling to the skin but it did not really de-puff my baggy eyes. I am glad that I don't have that dark circles beneath my eyes but they look so swollen most of the time. On days I don't use Quick FX Eye Lift Cream, I made sure to try these and I'm now into my 7th sachet. No noticeable difference at all. All the claims are just there for a show, I guess.

Well, I'm glad these do not cost too much. I guess if you need something to moisturize your dry eye area, this would do. It 's not irritating to the eyes at all but if you are expecting something huge from it, better forget about it.

Third Sigma Beauty Haul + A Few Important Shopping Tips

I don't intend to brag but rather share with you how I saved a lot of dollars during Sigma Beauty Mid-Year Sale and share a few tips and information you might want to know if ever you wanna go on a spree. You know how cheapskate I am--I love shopping and scoring deals at a bargain price. They say that you actually spend more when it's sale season, I guess they're right, but just thinking of getting something you've wanted for long at a depreciated price, for me, is totally cool. I mean you are getting the same exact thing, so what's the fuss?

Basic Eye Brush Kit ($77 - $37)
F94 Kabuki brush - Black/18K Gold ($52 - $18.40)

First thing I would like to share is the more you shop, the more you can earn Sigma Pink Perks. You will earn 1 point per dollar you spent. Every 100 points you earn will give you $10. I have a total of 400 points because of previous Sigma purchases so that gives me $40 worth of credits.

The Basic Eye Brush Kit is not included on the sale but since I have $40, I only got the set for only $37 from its original suggested retail price of $77. Which also reminds me that if you are going to get bunch of brushes, might as well check if they can be bought by set. For example, when you buy individual brushes included in this set, you might have to pay $111. You get the picture, right?

Structural Lashes Mascara Set ($45 - $11.25)

Be included in the newsletter subscription. I have been subscribed to a lot of beauty brands not just  because I want to be the first to know if ever they released a new product, but solely because I want to know when they have an ongoing sale. Sigma Beauty is probably one of the brands that usually go on sale with exclusive coupons to use.

Creme De Coutour Liquid Lipstick in New Mod ($10.50 - $3.75)

Did you know that you can save as much as $25 for international free shipping when purchasing $150 worth of items? Sometimes, they also have promos like free shipping for only $75 worth of items. You don't have to pay exactly $150 or $75 to qualify. Just as long as you purchased items amounting to that value, coupons not yet applied, you will be eligible for free shipping.

Because I sort of like influenced my friend, Cris, we consolidated our orders to reach $150 and take advantage of the free shipping option. Here's what she purchased:

Smoke Screen Eye Shadow Palette ($39 - $9)
Wildflower Eye and Cheek Palette ($36 - $9)
Loose Shimmer and Glitter Set in Ice Castle In The Sky ($30 - $5.25)
Wild Flower Lipstick in Dahlia ($14 - $3.50)

We also get to receive a few freebies like the great Sigmagic Brushampoo ( I swear to buy the full-size in my next order) and two deluxe sizes of E56 Shade-Lid Brush and E05 Mini Eye Liner Brush. Gave the two brushes to Cris because I got them both in the brush kit anyway. And oh, before I forget, sometimes, they do give an exclusive voucher like 50% off your entire purchase (no expiration) for Sigma addicts like me! I'm not sure why but maybe because I have purchased from the site three times already, they e-mailed me an exclusive voucher I'm still thinking when to use! It makes me look forward to my future shopping at Sigma!

I guess, that's it! I hope I was able to help you today! If ever you have some questions or inquiries, feel free to leave it down below and I'll get back to you the soonest!

I just want to share with you, girls, my latest discovery in Shopee. I love doing quick visits to the site everyday especially during Tuesday because they give out 30% off coupon (capped at P100) for items found and being sold by their official shops. One of which is the Lameila PH which just recently started online selling and launched their first online shop in the aforementioned e-commerce site.

If you frequent to Miniso, Daiso or say Mumuso and alike, you basically already has an idea what's in store for you. Lameila PH sells almost the same thing, focusing more on providing good quality makeup and beauty tools that are both useful and affordable (even made affordable with the coupon!).

Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner Review

Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner
Bought for: P750/180ml
Bought from: an online shop

I am so sure that if you haven't tried this yet, it's already in your wishlist. This product from Dear Klairs has been so popular that almost every beauty enthusiast I know have already rounded up what's so great about this. Using this for over a month now (I even started from samples), I am still undecided whether or not this deserves all the praise. I hate to debunk the never-ending hype but let's settle down and I'll tell you all the things I know and experiences I had with this product. Help me weigh down the pros and cons! Let's start, shall we?

CLAIMS

Balances the skin’s pH level and improves the effectiveness of your entire skincare regime, helping you to achieve your best skin. Enhance the effectiveness of serums and creams with the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner that balances your skin’s natural pH levels, creating the perfect canvas for your skin care products.

Contains some key ingredients such as Phyto-Oligo to help thoroughly moisturize the skin and resolve skin dryness, and wheat amino acids to help reduce inflammation in the skin.

With various plant extracts and soothing ingredients blended together, a calming, non-irritating, hydrating toner for all skin types even for the most sensitive.

Quickly absorbs and provides full moisture. The skin glows brighter with high moisture retention. The moisturizing toner rapidly absorbs into the skin while prolonging hydration by more than 20% than conventional toners with hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan.

PACKAGING

It comes in dark-colored sturdy plastic bottle and a box that has loads of information about the product, sometimes, it's kinda overwhelming. :D It comes with a twist cap and  it's just very hygienic to use. The full-sized is kinda bulky but I can easily decant a few ml on an empty plastic bottle if I need to bring some for getaways. You can also buy the 30 ml travel size on some K-beauty shops but if you are doubting the authenticity or freshness, you can order through Althea Korea instead. Their items sell out fast so they restock every now and then.

Expiry and manufacturing dates are printed both on the box and on the bottom part of the bottle. The sticker that contains all information about the product is waterproof and does not easily tear or wear off.

SCENT, TEXTURE AND EASE OF APPLICATION

It has a very faint scent, nothing too strong. I even examined the ingredient list and there isn't fragrance to it. Any scent probably comes from the natural ingredients it's made of.

This toner is clear in color, has a runny consistency and a bit of a slimy texture that fades away once the product gets fully absorbed by the skin. I bet that's what makes it very hydrating. It felt honestly a bit sticky at first and then eventually fades, leaving a soft and supple glow on the skin. If I am going to think about it, the texture actually helps in making everything I put on gets absorbed easily because of its adhering property. It also doesn't mess with everything I put on afterwards, even base makeups.

Because I have oily skin, I sometimes neglect heavy moisturizers and just settle with this toner. I would still feel that my skin is still hydrated all throughout the day.

PERFORMANCE

I already tried this toner for a week when I was breaking out and I badly need something gentle for my skin. Back then, using it alone with a couple other gentle products, although as soothing as it is, it still won't help alleviate the damage. I was still breaking out and tiny white bumps started to appear. I immediately stopped and hesitated to give it another try even when my skin heals.

I hate to think I am wasting P750 so I decided to give this one another try when my skin cleared up which was just last month (July). Just like the first time, I don't think it does anything special other than the fact that its truly hydrating on the skin. With regular use, I feel like my skin became softer  and plumper and this product just goes well with the exfoliant products I am using it in conjunction with.

I guess what's really holding me back in saying this product is great is the fact that it does nothing special other than being hydrating. But now that I think about it, not every toner goes well with acids. I needed something that would calm and balance my skin and at the same time aid in better absorption of whatever I put on next. I am into acids right now because I wanted to get rid of my breakouts and scars from previous chicken pox infection and I don't think I'll ever want to use a toner that is as strong. I realize that I needed a 'break' in between products too.

It seems clear to me now that Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner should be a staple in my skin care. Given that it's very gentle on the skin, it really is suitable for all skin type. Those with dry skin might want to apply a bit more. Those who have oily skin like mine need not to worry.

I also think that this is a good value for money because you are paying for a product with 180ml of liquid that will last you about 2-3 months. Definitely perfect for those who are looking for a very basic toner that's hydrating!

Colourette Cosmetics Coloursnaps Dewy Multi-Stain Review

Colourette Cosmetics Coloursnaps in Milk, Woke and Kween
Bought for: P249/each
Bought from: Colourette Cosmetics

I have these babies for like 3 months now and I was contemplating whether or not I should make a review because I'm pretty sure there are already a lot. It took me time to get some for myself because they are always sold out the first few weeks after launch and even until now. I was just thinking of having a post for future reference and if ever I may need of comparison in the future, say they release a new formula, at least, I won't forget how they were to me. Sounds very sentimental, right? Lol.

CLAIMS

It’s definitely summer forever with Colourette’s newest innovative collecxn –ColourSnaps. These versatile balms are the first local dewy multi-stains perfectly formulated for the Filipina skin and lifestyle. Infused with Shea Butter, Vitamin E and SPF 15 these compact cuties are sure to moisturize and protect your skin and lips while giving you that standout long-lasting glow on the go!

Available shades: Beachy, Chill, Glo Up, Kween, Lowkey, Milk, Turnt, Woke, 100, Punch, Friyay, Lucky, Golden

PACKAGING

I am completely confused whether or not I like the packaging of these Coloursnaps. For one, it looks very unique and travel-friendly. Sometimes, I hate it because the cap tends to slide completely off from the jar when opened. I am very much likely to lose it had I not been careful. Also, I didn't like the fact that I need to dip my fingers or my brush several times whenever I use it.

I appreciate that it has necessary information printed on the packaging like the ingredient list, actives and manufacturing dates. Since Colourette's items sell out fast, I'm happy that I always get a new stock.

SCENT, PIGMENTATION AND EASE OF APPLICATION

They all have similar scent which is of bubble gum. I like it, to be honest. As claimed, these are multi-stains that leaves a dewy finish on the skin for a fresh summer glow. Despite the dewiness, they feel so light on the skin, definitely non-sticky, and the natural humectants improve the blendability of the product and ease of application. The product is very smooth and gives a sheer pop of color, indeed very natural when blended on the skin. If you want a deeper pigmentation, say for lip use, these will disappoint.

PERFORMANCE

The shade selection are really amazing. I think that all of them are really wearable, even those with orange undertones, especially when it's summer. For a little bit of lip color, these will do but they aren't that long-lasting, stays about 4 hours with minimal eating and drinking. These last less longer on my cheeks as I noticed them fading as early as 2-3 hours given that I have oily skin. I would suggest dousing some translucent powder only so you can preserve the color on your cheeks.

These don't appear true to color when applied especially on the lips. I guess it depends on the pigmentation or color of your puckers too. Some shades would be better off for cheek use, some for the lips. I like the Milk as a blusher, Kween as a lip cream and Woke can be for dual purposes.

These can be used as an eye shadow too. I just don't prefer them that way because I have such oily lids and these would fade very easily. Those with dry skin, by now, should rejoice because you've just met your best friend if you would like to sport a no-makeup makeup look.

I still think these are really great local buys given the fact that you are only paying P249 for a multi-purpose tint. I surely like these and am planning to buy the Beachy shade too once Colourette restock on Shopee. I am currently obsessing with Colourette Colourtints by this time and I will share my thoughts about them real soon!

Quick FX Pimple Eraser Review

Quick FX Pimple Eraser
Bought for: P129
Bought from: The SM Store

Quick FX Pimple Eraser or even just the brand itself is something I have known since I was in high school. The number of products they produce are still as handful as I remembered, they haven't grown or branched out yet, but they have definitely marked the hearts of a lot of beauty enthusiasts. Their No Shine Mattifier was useful for me and just recently their Eye Lift Cream added to the list of affordable drugstore products that works.

CLAIMS, DIRECTION FOR USE, INGREDIENTS

PACKAGING

It comes in typical Quick FX packaging, very decent and neat and the tube itself is sturdy as it's made of hard plastic. I really like this type of packaging since dispensing product is hassle-free and I can conveniently bring it anywhere I go without worrying it might break or what.

Even though the tube itself is small, you can count on Quick FX to be transparent with its claims, ingredient list and also with its manufacturing and expiry dates.

SCENT

Just like most products from Quick FX, the scent is very faint, almost indistinguishable. This is perfect for those who don't like fragrances or strong scents. I prefer fragrance-free products too because those that have fragrances may cause breakouts as well.

TEXTURE, CONSISTENCY AND EASE OF APPLICATION

Product comes in an opaque white cream formula that's soft, quite thick and deceiving. Deceiving in a good way because it looks thick but doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all when applied. It gets absorbed by the skin easily while leaving a teeny bit of dewiness.

PERFORMANCE

First things first, let me tell you how I love the finish it creates on the skin. It instantly brightens up my face without leaving any white cast and it dries almost semi-matte yet a healthy glow from the skin still would peek through. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin yet it moisturizes just enough. On most days I'm lazy following my routine, I just apply this right after I hydrate with Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water and use this as both moisturizer and sunblock. Saves me time!

It's directed to use only on affected parts but I like applying it all over my face except eye area. With regular use, I noticed that the pimple scars on my jaw area and lower cheeks are slightly fading. Maybe this is also with the help of Niacinamide which works to treat and lighten dark spots.

This product claims that it has Vitamin C which, even in huge concentration, might not fully help in reversing sun damage, but since this has loads of skin benefits, who am I to complain? No matter how much Vitamin C this product has, it won't do you bad.

Even though it's infused with Salicylic Acid, I really don't think it helps dry out my pimples. Gradually, but not overnight unlike other spot treatments. If you are looking for heavy duty spot treatments, this may not work for you. What I like about this though is that it seems to prevent breakouts and if I get some (due to red days), they are relatively smaller than what's usual.

Overall, I still like Quick FX Pimple Eraser. The texture and finish are quite amazing given its price and will continue to finish my tube for maximum effects. Let me know what you think of this! Happy blogging!

Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Wash Review

Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Wash
Bought for: P90/50ml | Available for P158/100ml
Bought from: Johnson&Johnson

Here's a quick review on a product that has been in the market for years and is something I just tried for the first time. Don't hate me for being a late bloomer, please? Lol.

I remember years back in high school, almost all people I know are using Clean & Clear. It was during their puberty age when this particular product right here became a savior for them. I was so curious, but then I had lots on my plate and I almost forgot to give myself a chance to know what the hype was all about.

When J&J hosted an online sale, I bought a few other bestseller products from their brand which I felt like I neglected and ignored way back. Finally, here's my personal thoughts about it.

CLAIMS

CLEAN & CLEAR® Essentials Foaming Facial Cleanser cleans skin and washes away problem-causing dirt, oil, and make-up to help skin stay clean and healthy. The rich lather is oil-free and gently removes dirt and oil without over-drying and leaves skin clean and refreshed.

INGREDIENTS

Water Triethanolamine Myristic Acid C9-15 Alkyl Phosphate Lauric Acid Glycerin Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Cocamidopropyl Betaine Phenoxyethanol Fragrance Methylparaben BHT Propylparaben Ethylparaben Red 4 Yellow 10

SCENT, TEXTURE AND EASE OF APPLICATION

The scent is very subtle, nothing strong or off-putting. It comes in a clear, runny liquid that foams up when lathered on the skin. It's also quite easy to rinse without leaving any sticky or slimy residue.

PERFORMANCE

Overall, I find this a very basic cleanser. I find that it's very gentle on skin and does not sting at all. Usually, cleanser which lather well are quite drying on the skin but I did not experience such with this product. It thoroughly cleanses the skin and gets rid of dirt and oil residue instantly.

If you are looking for a product that effectively reduces oil or breakouts, this may NOT be for you. Nonetheless, I still like how it cleanses and unclogs my pores without drying it out and causing me further breakouts. I think this may suit whatever skin type you have, may it be normal, sensitive or combination.

Given that it's only less than a hundred bucks, I didn't expect anything special about it--it does its job as a facial wash but nothing more. If you are looking for an affordable cleanser, I still think this is a good catch.
