Last time, I shared with you the wellness package Beautymnl sent me. I was happy because I get to try healthy products to take care of my well-being and skin too. This time, allow me to share my thoughts a product included in the loot -- Happy Island Candle Co Pineapple Mango Superior Moisture Hand & Body Lotion.

CLAIMS (AS PER BEAUTYMNL)

A hydrating fusion of tropical pineapples and mangoes. Made with sunflower seed oil that is naturally rich in Vitamin E; easily absorbs into the skin; leaves the skin refreshed and moisturized; No PEGs, Sulfates, Parabens, or Phthalates; gluten-free and vegan; scented with ripened pineapples and mangoes. Perfect for summer vibes all year long.

INGREDIENTS

Aqua, Sunflower Seed Oil, Gysorbate 20, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance Oil

TEXTURE, CONSISTENCY AND EASE OF APPLICATION

The product has a thick and creamy consistency and is very soft to the touch. It's also opaque white in color like most body lotions. I like that it's very moisturizing, that says, it could be very greasy once applied and gradually loses its shine and stickiness once it's fully absorbed, probably about 5-10 minutes. I like body lotions that has thick consistency because I have such dry hands and feet and I needed a humectant that would really maintain the hydration in my skin for a longer time. I'm happy that this product does its job well.

SCENT

This is what I find very off about this product. It has a tropical scent and the smell of pineapple and mango are very dominant. I hope Happy Island could tame down the scent a little bit because it's just too overwhelming. Even I who is not really sensitive to scent as long as they are unbearably awful find this too fruity for my liking. It reminds me of car fresheners I could instantly get dizzy because of.

I only use this for my hands because I couldn't manage to smell like pineapple and mango the entire day. I would prefer if they are more subtle. To be honest, it's not only me who complains about the scent but my friends at work too. So nope, I'm never gonna repurchase not until they tweak the scent. Texture wise, this lotion would be perfect for those who have dry skin.
