Quick FX Pimple Eraser or even just the brand itself is something I have known since I was in high school. The number of products they produce are still as handful as I remembered, they haven't grown or branched out yet, but they have definitely marked the hearts of a lot of beauty enthusiasts. Their No Shine Mattifier was useful for me and just recently their Eye Lift Cream added to the list of affordable drugstore products that works.

CLAIMS, DIRECTION FOR USE, INGREDIENTS

PACKAGING

It comes in typical Quick FX packaging, very decent and neat and the tube itself is sturdy as it's made of hard plastic. I really like this type of packaging since dispensing product is hassle-free and I can conveniently bring it anywhere I go without worrying it might break or what.

Even though the tube itself is small, you can count on Quick FX to be transparent with its claims, ingredient list and also with its manufacturing and expiry dates.

SCENT

Just like most products from Quick FX, the scent is very faint, almost indistinguishable. This is perfect for those who don't like fragrances or strong scents. I prefer fragrance-free products too because those that have fragrances may cause breakouts as well.

TEXTURE, CONSISTENCY AND EASE OF APPLICATION

Product comes in an opaque white cream formula that's soft, quite thick and deceiving. Deceiving in a good way because it looks thick but doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all when applied. It gets absorbed by the skin easily while leaving a teeny bit of dewiness.

PERFORMANCE

First things first, let me tell you how I love the finish it creates on the skin. It instantly brightens up my face without leaving any white cast and it dries almost semi-matte yet a healthy glow from the skin still would peek through. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin yet it moisturizes just enough. On most days I'm lazy following my routine, I just apply this right after I hydrate with Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water and use this as both moisturizer and sunblock. Saves me time!

It's directed to use only on affected parts but I like applying it all over my face except eye area. With regular use, I noticed that the pimple scars on my jaw area and lower cheeks are slightly fading. Maybe this is also with the help of Niacinamide which works to treat and lighten dark spots.

This product claims that it has Vitamin C which, even in huge concentration, might not fully help in reversing sun damage, but since this has loads of skin benefits, who am I to complain? No matter how much Vitamin C this product has, it won't do you bad.

Even though it's infused with Salicylic Acid, I really don't think it helps dry out my pimples. Gradually, but not overnight unlike other spot treatments. If you are looking for heavy duty spot treatments, this may not work for you. What I like about this though is that it seems to prevent breakouts and if I get some (due to red days), they are relatively smaller than what's usual.

Overall, I still like Quick FX Pimple Eraser. The texture and finish are quite amazing given its price and will continue to finish my tube for maximum effects. Let me know what you think of this! Happy blogging!

I might bore you with this article since when I tried to look for online reviews about it, there's already a lot. Still, I've been having mixed emotions toward this and I feel like it's worth to be talked about considering the fact that for an eye cream, it's only P129! Truth be told, this is the first time I have ever encountered an eye product that's so affordable. It made me think that if it does not work, I won't be disappointed at all and if it does, how lucky of me to find this in my life. Either way, it's something that I think deserves a spot here in my blog.

I'm always hesitant splurging for eye creams because sometimes they are even more expensive than regular creams. You know that by heart. I believe it's because producing them takes even more careful planning and manufacturing since our eyes and the skin around it are even more sensitive than anywhere else in our body. Makes sense?

CLAIMS

Basically, this product claims to help in reducing the appearance of lines, dark circle and puffiness and helps in refining and toning of the areas around the eyes. It has known anti-aging products like Niacinamide which reduces fine line and wrinkles and Ellagi-C which is responsible in improving skin's elasticity and suppleness.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Clean skin thoroughly before applying. Place a small amount on your finger and apply a thin layer under the eye. Start strokes from the inner area under the eye towards the outer eye area. Use in the morning and at night.

PACKAGING

The cream comes in a very simply designed packaging with all necessary information such as the claims, ingredients, direction for use and manufacturing and expiry dates. Just like all Quick FX products, it comes in a color block design and doesn't look and feel cheap at all. The tube itself is sturdy and the cap shuts tight with a click all the time. It comes in a travel-size tube that I can conveniently bring anywhere I go.

SCENT

It barely smell like anything in particular so I guess nothing will complain or find it any off-putting. Also, it is safe to say that it's fragrance-free. I appreciate that because sometimes fragrances can cause negative skin reactions too and I wouldn't want it to be on products that's supposed to be applied  just anywhere near the eyes as products can easily sting and irritate it.

TEXTURE AND CONSISTENCY

The product resembles lotions with its opaque white formula and and thin consistency. I wouldn't want something so thick and hard to absorb by the skin anyways. The cream is soft and blends easily on the skin. What I do is get a small amount and massage it in circulaar motion all over the skin around my eyes including the undereyes, lids and brow down to my upper cheekbone. I usually apply it in excess amount and then just let the cream dry completely in about 5 minutes. One tube has 30ml of product inside and I bet it would last me months and before it even expires, I hope to consume everything lol!

PERFORMANCE

This product blends smoothly on the skin and I love that it feels very mild on the eye area too. It does not have any distinguishable scent as well. Other eye creams tend to sting when gets contact with the eyes but I didn't experience anything alike with Quick FX.

I apply this twice a day to make sure I keep puffiness at bay and for a product that's only P129, it does what I expect for an eye cream. Most of the time, even if I had enough sleep or not, my undereyes tend to look really puffy. On worst case scenarios, my co-workers would go on saying 'di ka na naman natulog kakanuod ng K-drama...' when in fact, I got a full 8 hours of sleep...like, what? I would just smile and stay silent, at least they have a false idea of what made my eyes look so restless.

When I started using this, I really saw the difference. Although after using it for about a month, nothing changes on the appearance of lines and color on my undereyes. Nevertheless, I still appreciate the fact that this eye cream is always able to contribute in making my eyes look more alive and hydrates the sensitive area around it. It does not feel greasy or shiny too so you can definitely wear it under makeup. Sometimes I think it even lengthens my shadow wear.

One thing I noticed while I am using it is that my lashes seem to fall out very frequently. Sometimes I look in the mirror and que horror it was seeing I have three strands of lash on my upper cheeks.To be fair, I have the set of eyes which gets irritated easily due to lots of factors like too much computer usage and brightness. Also, I unconsciously rub my eyes too often and that could be the culprit. Add to it the fact that I'm experiencing hormonal imbalance which makes me shed hair especially on the upper part of my face. Either way, it's quite alarming. I'm still observing it though and will update you about the progress.

If you are to use it, I would advise to keep usage only on the skin surrounding your eyes and avoid applying it directly on your lashes just to be safe. After all, it's not supposed to lengthen or volumize the hair. I would say I like it and will still repurchase. Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier

Okay, I am going to say it now but I have never paid much attention to base makeups before not until I figured out how it can keep my makeup intact for a few more hours than its typical staying power. I have read good reviews about Quick FX products lately so I know I gotta put it on my wish list and then, last month I was able to spot it on Watsons, SM Manila and just grab it on a whim as I might change my mind! Not to mention that I got it on sale! Haha!

You see that it comes in a sachet packaging with a lock that you have to twist to open. For a value size product, this is kinda innovative and useful. You need not to worry about mess and spills and bacteria that might enter the sachet with air exposure. Information are also displayed on the sachet itself. By the way, sorry for the blurred photograph! I promise to make it up to you once I got a better cam.

Some, like me, might think this is a primer. Basically, it depends on how you're using it for. I consider it one at times when I like to apply foundation on top. Other times, it's just a typical blurring cream that helps fill the pores and mattify the skin. There's no particular 'primer' label that can be found anywhere so I guess I am just assuming. Anyway, for mobile users, I am going to post the information below as I am trying to make my blog more mobile-friendly. :)

Quick FX No Shine Mattifier is a light moisturizer that helps hide imperfections such as fine lines and pores while providing an exceptional smooth matte finish. It also helps prevent and treat pimples without drying out the skin.

Directions for use:

• To use under makeup: Apply to freshly-cleaned skin. pat on problem areas and use your fingertips to blend the cream on skin.

• To use over makeup: Pat on lightly over makeup and blend for smoother complexion and more radiant looking skin.

• How to reaaply: If pores or line reappear, apply delicately on problem areas over makeup and blend. The lightweight formula refines complexion.

Active Ingredients: Cera Alba (Beeswax), Chamomile Extract, Niacinamide, Tea Tree Extract and Salicylic Acid known to moisturize and help prevent pimples and work on treating them.

It actually reminds me of Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser--both has a very lightweight formula. I have tried that one long before I started blogging so I guess I needed to buy another one for reference. Anyway, this Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier offers a more matte finish, I guess that is the only difference in terms of effects.

The application is pretty easy. However, you might think that the product sets or dries very easily upon application. Don't get deceived though—it is just the consistency. Wait for a few more minutes before layering your skin with BB creams or foundations as it can tug on the product and accidentally mix both on your face. As much as possible, use not too much of it on the face.

Upon application, my skin felt very soft and smooth without the shine although my pores are still visible (just because they are large in the first place, to be fair). I actually expect to be shine-free for a good 4 hours but nope, it just kept my hopes up. I still need to retouch with blotting papers and powders after at least two hours. Should I blame my genes or this? Lol.

I actually tried to apply it over my already oily face and it just didn't work as my face turns slippery, not at all matte or shine-free. And also, the 'tapping' part did not work. I apply it like a normal moisturizer, otherwise, you don't get to blend the formula well.

Overall, I actually like it, although I don't find it as something that could be considered a holy grail. It did not break me out or clog my pores and I like how it seem to brighten my skin and make it look clearer with pores a bit compressed. I might repurchase but I am still on my way to finding a good primer/blurring cream for me. So...I guess that's pretty much it! Happy blogging!
