Luxe Organix Bright Eyes Eye Cream Review (With 80% Galactomyces, Niacinamide, Adenosine and Caffeine)

It's still my birth month and I kept asking myself if that is even a valid reason why I've been splurging for myself a lot lately. If my boyfriend would read this, I might get a scolding. No, just kidding! I don't know about you, but there are times when I think like I deserve it with or without a reason. Most especially whenever I'm feeling anxious or just simply when there's a moment I feel proud of myself.

Anyway, here's another review and it's about Luxe Organix Bright Eyes Eye Cream. I'm sure people know a lot about this brand, I mean it's practically everywhere and everyone is raving about their products. The first thing I've tried from their skincare line, as I remember, was their Bentonite Clay Indian Healing Clay Mask which I've used sometime around 2018. I've been on a hiatus in between so product testing was sort of 'limited'.

I honestly like the white and pink theme and how it comes in an easy-squeeze tube packaging. It's very travel-friendly and I could definitely bring it anywhere with ease. It's also loaded with information such as claims, ingredients, usage, caution, expiration and manufacturing dates, as well as where it's made from. Everything I need to know about it is basically printed on its box.

Ingredients

I've seen here that Luxe Organix Bright Eyes Eye Cream contains 80% Galactomyces and at first, I didn't know what that is. It sounds like something I needed to know about though, considering this is the main and first on the ingredient list.

Aside from addressing dark circles and puffiness while strengthening the moisture barrier, it also slows down signs of aging. A perfect ingredient for an eye cream indeed. It's also loaded with Niacinamide, Adenosine and Caffeine which we know already exists in a lot of skincare because they just simply work.

Claims

Expiration and Manufacturing Dates

This eye cream is very easy to apply, easy to be absorbed. It smells clean and soap-like. Actually, the consistency is soooo good too. It's soft and feels like melting butter. I might sound like I'm exaggerating, but that's how in loved I am with it. It's comparable to an expensive eye cream I had before which I forgot the name LOL. I remember that that just came as a freebie from a haul I had long, long ago. I didn't get to repurchase because the price is just too steep for me. The point is for just PHP199, it's unbelievable how Luxe Organic came up with a product like this.

I admit that I haven't tried a lot of eye cream brands, but right now, it's clear to me how I only have two eye creams that will probably forever be etched in my heart - the expensive one I had before on trial packet and this one from Luxe Organix.

Directions For Use and Caution

Aside from the consistency, I also love how it doesn't burn my eyes. I had an eye cream prior to this, which I find super thick and oily and because it doesn't get absorbed completely, it sometimes spread to my eyes unintentionally as I sleep or even blink. And then, I'd just hate how I'd tear up from the sting.

I know I would definitely buy this again when I ran out. I'm sure this would last long, probably a month, since you only need a very small amount for the under eyes. Right now, it's  just everything I've been looking for in an eye cream - gentle, hydrating and effectively keeps puffiness away. I've been using it for weeks now and it definitely helps reduce puffiness, my eyes seem more wide awake.

With regular use, I am hoping that it could also smoothen out my fine lines, and reduce darkness in my under eyes. That will take a long, long time but consistency is the key. I definitely would recommend this affordable eye cream!

I'm always open to other suggestions. Do let me know what are in your holy grails, I'd love to try them too! See you around next time!

Rraw Skincare Tea Butter Under Eye Cream 50g Review

Hey, everyone! It's me, Hanna! How's your day going so far?

Today, I will be reviewing a product that was included in a haul I made last month. I have been using this product consistently since 24th of April and I think I'm now ready to share my experience with this eye cream from the local skincare brand, Rraw.

Claims: A butter-based cream for your under eye. Steeped with fresh green tea to help relieve dark circles and shea butter to soften and lift those eye bags up. A shot of botanical vitamins for your dark circles made with loose tea and natural butters.

Green tea helps eliminate dark circles and puffiness through increasing circulation to the skin by dilating blood vessels. It also moisturizes and tones dry skin, providing a healthy glow to the thin, sensitive skin around the eyes. Not only does green tea counter aging and provide healthy, glowing skin, it has been shown to protect the eye tissue on a deeper level.

Application: After moisturizing, apply a thin layer of Tea Butter, as this is a heavy cream, under your eyes, specifically on your eye bags. If Tea Butter feels a bit oily after application, it is normal and simply leave it to dry. The butter will simply soak into your skin allowing it to work it's magic. Store in cool area.

Ingredients : Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Green Tea, Raw Honey

This eye cream comes in a clear, minimalist jar packaging with an aluminum twist cover. There's no plastic seal at all so you just have to trust that it's unopened. There's also barely enough information on its packaging. I don't know about you, yet surprisingly, they do not bother me that much. It must be because Rraw has been one of those famous local brands that sells organic products which turn out to be cult-favorites. They've already garnered the hearts of a lot of beauty enthusiasts, including me. Anyway, you can easily search them on their social media accounts or chat them for more product information.

I can't describe the scent exactly, but it’s subtle and smells like desert from the tub (LOL!). It doesn't smell like it has any synthetic fragrance to it, which is fine with me.

This eye cream is off-white/cream in color. It looks like candle wax untouched. It has a very soft, buttery texture. I find it a pleasure as it melts upon contact with skin. Consistency is more on the heavy/thick side so you don't need a lot for your two under-eyes. The good thing about it, is that it goes a long way. That being said, a single tub which contains 50g will surely last you a very long time. I don't think I would even finish this in 6 months if I only use it for my eyes. However, as advised, it's best to replace it after 6 months for hygiene purposes. Think about

I don't want to throw it just like that so I know I needed to find something to use this for to maximize it's use. I figured out that I could use this cream as a cuticle moisturizer and even use it as a hand and foot cream to soften rough and patchy skin. You can also safely use it anywhere in your body that needs extra moisture since it’s organic and natural.

I have mentioned earlier that the consistency is quite thick. It would be best to use it at night since it would definitely make your concealer crease. If you are just mostly skincare though, then I guess there's nothing to worry about.

One of the things I don’t like about it, is how it feels warm on the skin. It's summer so it's quite uncomfortable. Add the fact that I have oily skin. I believe that the thickness of the cream has something to do with it. I prefer something that is hydrating yet lightweight and not congesting at the same time.

Using this product makes me a bit cautious. Being careful how much I apply is the best solution. The last time I think I overapplied, I noticed that there were buildups on my creases and under-eyes after a few hours. It looked like some butter solidified. It takes a very long time for the skin to fully absorb this product so you have to be really patient and avoid moving around before the cream has set in.

I still probably would keep using Rraw Skincare Tea Butter Under Eye Cream because the thin areas around my eyes and brow feel more hydrated than ever. I just don’t see any noticeable effects in reducing puffiness or darkness, even when it is infused with Green Tea. It make take a while so let's see.

Leaving moisturizers out of your routine could lead to more fine lines and creases anyway. But be sure to only use a thin layer of this eye cream - you don’t want to overload on moisturizer that could make your under-eyes even more baggy and wrinkles more emphasized.

Aside from that, I have never encountered any eye cream as affordable as this one from Rraw so I guess this is okay for its price.

Do let me know what your favorite products from Rraw are and I'll do my best to give them a try! Thanks for dropping by!

Quick FX Eye Lift Cream With Ellagi-C and Niacinamide Review

Quick FX Eye Lift Cream
Bought for: P129
Bought from: SM Store

I might bore you with this article since when I tried to look for online reviews about it, there's already a lot. Still, I've been having mixed emotions toward this and I feel like it's worth to be talked about considering the fact that for an eye cream, it's only P129! Truth be told, this is the first time I have ever encountered an eye product that's so affordable. It made me think that if it does not work, I won't be disappointed at all and if it does, how lucky of me to find this in my life. Either way, it's something that I think deserves a spot here in my blog.

I'm always hesitant splurging for eye creams because sometimes they are even more expensive than regular creams. You know that by heart. I believe it's because producing them takes even more careful planning and manufacturing since our eyes and the skin around it are even more sensitive than anywhere else in our body. Makes sense?

CLAIMS

Basically, this product claims to help in reducing the appearance of lines, dark circle and puffiness and helps in refining and toning of the areas around the eyes. It has known anti-aging products like Niacinamide which reduces fine line and wrinkles and Ellagi-C which is responsible in improving skin's elasticity and suppleness.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Clean skin thoroughly before applying. Place a small amount on your finger and apply a thin layer under the eye. Start strokes from the inner area under the eye towards the outer eye area. Use in the morning and at night.

PACKAGING

The cream comes in a very simply designed packaging with all necessary information such as the claims, ingredients, direction for use and manufacturing and expiry dates. Just like all Quick FX products, it comes in a color block design and doesn't look and feel cheap at all. The tube itself is sturdy and the cap shuts tight with a click all the time. It comes in a travel-size tube that I can conveniently bring anywhere I go.

SCENT

It barely smell like anything in particular so I guess nothing will complain or find it any off-putting. Also, it is safe to say that it's fragrance-free. I appreciate that because sometimes fragrances can cause negative skin reactions too and I wouldn't want it to be on products that's supposed to be applied  just anywhere near the eyes as products can easily sting and irritate it.

TEXTURE AND CONSISTENCY

The product resembles lotions with its opaque white formula and and thin consistency. I wouldn't want something so thick and hard to absorb by the skin anyways. The cream is soft and blends easily on the skin. What I do is get a small amount and massage it in circulaar motion all over the skin around my eyes including the undereyes, lids and brow down to my upper cheekbone. I usually apply it in excess amount and then just let the cream dry completely in about 5 minutes. One tube has 30ml of product inside and I bet it would last me months and before it even expires, I hope to consume everything lol!

PERFORMANCE

This product blends smoothly on the skin and I love that it feels very mild on the eye area too. It does not have any distinguishable scent as well. Other eye creams tend to sting when gets contact with the eyes but I didn't experience anything alike with Quick FX.

I apply this twice a day to make sure I keep puffiness at bay and for a product that's only P129, it does what I expect for an eye cream. Most of the time, even if I had enough sleep or not, my undereyes tend to look really puffy. On worst case scenarios, my co-workers would go on saying 'di ka na naman natulog kakanuod ng K-drama...' when in fact, I got a full 8 hours of sleep...like, what? I would just smile and stay silent, at least they have a false idea of what made my eyes look so restless.

When I started using this, I really saw the difference. Although after using it for about a month, nothing changes on the appearance of lines and color on my undereyes. Nevertheless, I still appreciate the fact that this eye cream is always able to contribute in making my eyes look more alive and hydrates the sensitive area around it. It does not feel greasy or shiny too so you can definitely wear it under makeup. Sometimes I think it even lengthens my shadow wear.

One thing I noticed while I am using it is that my lashes seem to fall out very frequently. Sometimes I look in the mirror and que horror it was seeing I have three strands of lash on my upper cheeks. To be fair, I have the set of eyes which gets irritated easily due to lots of factors like too much computer usage and brightness. Also, I unconsciously rub my eyes too often and that could be the culprit. Add to it the fact that I'm experiencing hormonal imbalance which makes me shed hair especially on the upper part of my face. Either way, it's quite alarming. I'm still observing it though and will update you about the progress.

If you are to use it, I would advise to keep usage only on the skin surrounding your eyes and avoid applying it directly on your lashes just to be safe. After all, it's not supposed to lengthen or volumize the hair. I would say I like it and will still repurchase. Let me know if you have tried this already and let's keep a conversation flowing down below! Happy blogging!

In A Nutshell: Why Eye Creams Are Important ft. Elizavecca Golf CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream

Elizavecca Golf CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream
Bought for: Free | SRP: P400
Bought from: Althea

While we can simply use our facial creams on the eyes, we can't just hide the fact that our eye areas are very sensitive parts of our visage which needs not just extra attention, but a different skin care step as well. It ages, develops fine lines and wrinkles faster and tends to be drier than the rest of our face. Sun's harmful rays and normal aging hasten these problems. But eye creams are developed in a way that they are much thicker, creamier, more moisturizing and even loaded with more active ingredients than ordinary creams to target these troubles. Our delicate eyes needs even more delicate treatments which is why eye creams is a necessary step in our skin care if you want to prevent signs of aging.

For the past months, I have not been getting enough sleep everyday since I was a graduating student who fixed a lot of things and once I got my first job, I became a night shifter. Add the fact that I've hit 20 already, I noticed that my under eye areas are not anymore the same as before. I developed dark under eye circles, and even fine lines which get more obvious every time I smile. This alarms me so I started taking care of it not too long ago by incorporating eye creams in my daily skin care regimen. One product which got into my radar is this Elizavecca Golf CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream which I am going to review today.

PACKAGING

The product comes in a very cute white tube with gold designs. Even the cap is colored in gold which is why it appears so classy in my vanity area. The pointed nozzle dispense product quite easily and hassle-free. It is also very travel-friendly and  hygienic to use since there is no direct contact with the product compared to those eye creams in a jar. I just purposely did not take pictures of the box because everything's written in Korean and I don't understand even a single letter. Sad. But what I did was read the claims on Althea's page and here's what it says.

CLAIMS

This product is full of nutritional ingredients (Swiftlet Nest Extract which makes skin healthy, moist and glossy + Volufiline which makes skin smooth and elastic + 24K Gold for brightening and skin beauty). It has excellent moisture sustainability (Liquid crystal emulsion system) and makes skin brighter and elastic (Whitening and wrinkle improvement).

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY / EASE OF APPLICATION

This product comes in a pearly white shade that is very creamy, bouncy, and soft to the touch. Compared to ordinary creams and other eye creams I have tried before, this one is a wee thicker but blends easily on the skin. However, it does not get absorb fast, could be because of its excessive emollient properties.

SCENT

The scent is very subtle but you can catch a whiff of sweetness to it.

PERFORMANCE

I am using this for a month now and I am using it twice every day to see if their would be significant results. I only need a very small amount every application since a little goes a long way already. Even though eye creams are quite more pricey than regular creams, this will last you for months, believe me. I am using this for weeks and I think I barely consumed 5 ml. Although there hasn't much change in terms of my fine lines, there are noticeable improvement in the size of my eye bags at the very least. This product was able to minimize puffiness and darkness of my under eye areas even though I am not usually getting enough sleep.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I love Elizavecca Golf CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream for it gives my eyes sufficient moisture it needs while preventing puffiness. I can also use it for other dry parts of my body such as hands and feet and all I need was a meager amount to give them the hydration they need. I love the creamy formula and scent which is why this is a highly recommended product to everyone. Let's start taking care of our eyes, girls!

Does Elizavecca Golf CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream interest you?

Leiania House of Beauty Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream Review

Leiania House of Beauty Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream
Bought for: Free | Original Price: to be updated

Claims: Packed with nature's best kept secret, Moroccan Argan Oil, a powerful antioxidant rich in Vitamin E and Collagen that increases the skin's flexibility and strength. It restores moisture and provide a barrier around the eye to help diminish wrinkle. Added with the potency of Bearberry Beta Arbutin for an all natural spot eye treatment, blemishes and bags under the eye. Glow and be radiant!

Hey, guys! I know I just turned 20 last October 19 but I guess it wasn't an excuse to take eye creams for granted if they aimed at preventing wrinkles primarily. I have no idea if my skin are threatened with wrinkles already but I pretty much don't care. Again, it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't know if I should use any anti-aging products knowing that I'm just 20 but it's pass teenage years already so yeah, I don't think it will do me bad either. Truth be told, I waited for months so I can be able to use Gold of Morocco Bearberry Eye Cream which was sent to me by Ms. Favia of Leiania House of Beauty. Without further ado, here's my thoughts about it!

Since I am a lover of anything naturally and organically-made skin care products, I was really excited to try this for myself. Aside from it being full-packed with nutrients and healthy ingredients, it is also free of harmful chemicals (like parabens) that are not good for the skin and body. By the way, I already put copied the caption above for those of you who are having trouble reading the description on the photo. Yeeha! Anyway, before we proceed, let me just share to you the skin benefits of Bearberry and Argan Oil--the key ingredients of this product.

According to healwithfood.org, "Bearberry foliage, the part of the Arctostaphylos uva-ursi plant that is most commonly used in cosmetic formulations, has been shown to effectively scavenge free radicals, unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin...bearberry leaf extract had even stronger free radical scavenging (i.e. antioxidant) properties than extracts made from wild licorice (Glycyrrhiza lepidota), senega (Polygala senega), narrow-leaved echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia), and aerial parts of two varieties of horsetail (Equisetum spp.)...the polyphenolic compounds found in bearberry leaves appeared to be responsible, at least in part, for bearberry extract's antioxidant capacity...turns out, the leaves of the Common Bearberry also contain arbutin, a natural compound that has been shown to inactivate tyrosinase, an enzyme that is responsible for skin pigmentation.

While according to arganoilworld.com.au, "Argan oil is most commonly used as a skin moisturizer to hydrate and soften skin. With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, Argan Oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy and non-irritating, which makes it a great natural moisturizer.

I actually like the packaging, it looks very...effective lol. It's house in a transparent plastic tub which has been a fail because of the surrounding stickers and the opaque white inner plastic. Sayang, I thought I could peek through the inside without opening it. Anyway, it is funny how packaging appeals to me like this nowadays huh. But no, seriously, I so appreciate it even though it is bombarded with too many information. There are really times when I wanted to spend time reading the claims and ingredients lists over and over again. Is that weird? 'Cause that always happens to me. Anyway, my point here is, I'd rather be bombarded with information than nothing at all. Complete labeling--description, ingredients, manufacturing and expiry dates? Check!

When opened, it actually has an inner lead which I already removed so you don't see it on the photo above. If you can make it out, you will see that the product has an off-white, thick and creamy consistency which melts on the skin upon application. It even has a cooling effect for the first few seconds which I really love because it instantly refreshes tired eyes. I pretty much rely on it every stressful night--which unfortunately, is every day. The scent is bearable too. The first time I smell it, I like it already because I am a fan of minty-scent products though there was not any mint on the ingredients? What could trigger the refreshing scent therefore huh?

Since product has a slightly thick consistency, it tends to be a bit oily on the skin that is why I stopped using it for my face although it says on the claims that it can be ideal for face use. Breakouts had been another problem. Since I have never been fond of using oils for my skin, because most of the time, they tend to cause me breakouts, I decided to stop so the zits will also stop from popping out of nowhere. It works though. The number and sizes of pimples reduces after the termination. I guess this product, due to thick consistency, tends to have comedogenic formula. With that, I do not recommend it for face use for those with oily skin type.

So I gave up and decided to just keep the application limited to eye area and since then, I have been loving how it imparts cooling effect on my bags and how I managed to wake up like I had full eight hours of sleep. Also, continuous use reduces the darkness around my eyes.

I guess, aside from it causing me to breakout, there's no other downside which I happen to discover from it. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised how it works its wonder on the area around my eyes. I just have to keep in mind never to let it slip the barricade to areas out of my eye zone and it will be a nice night company.

That's it! If you have other questions, feel free to visit Leiania House of Beauty on their Website, Blogsite, Facebook and Instagram account! Happy blogging!
