Naturals by Watsons Rice Bran Cream Bath Review

Naturals by Watsons Rice Bran Cream Bath
Bought for: Free with points | SRP: P199 (490ml)
Bought from: Sample Room

Recently, I found myself using body wash more often just because regular bath soaps can be too drying on the skin. So when we finished the one we have from Olay, I immediately gave Naturals by Watsons Rice Bran Cream Bath a try. It wasn't my first time using a Watson's very own product - the first one was a hand lotion - but it still excites me whenever I am using a product that's new and natural. The thought of using body oils and whatnot really is interesting for me.

CLAIMS

Experience double the power of Rice Bran for extra brightening; Rice Bran from Japan made to brighten the skin. Naturals by Watsons Rice Bran Bath & Body range contains Organic Rice Bran from Japan. One of Japan’s best-kept beauty secrets, rice bran has been used for centuries to brighten and even out skin tone, for luminous-looking skin. This cream bath gently cleanses the skin with a soothing soap-free formula that releases an airy foam.

KEY INGREDIENTS

  • Natural Rice Bran Oil is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin E for healthier and more radiant skin.
  • Organic Rice Bran Extract has a powerful antioxidant to brighten and rejuvenate the skin.
  • Organic Soybean Extract helps renew skin and contains lecithin to prevent premature ageing.
  • Vitamin B3 and E protect against UV damage and boost the skin’s radiance and elasticity.
***Free from Paraben, Mineral Oil, Silicones, Colourants, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Soap, Isothiazolinone (MIT, CMIT, BIT)

HOW TO USE

Apply an appropriate amount of Naturals by Watsons Rice Bran Cream Bath onto your palm or a sponge. Gently massage all over your body. Rinse off thoroughly with water.

PACKAGING

The packaging is what you'd expect to look like when you say 'natural'. I say it looks very simple and earth-friendly. You will be able to see all necessary information about the product on the bottle. It comes with a wooden cap and pump that function well. One bottle has 490 ml of product so it must be nice to have travel-sized bottles wherein you can decant some into.

SCENT, TEXTURE AND EASE OF APPLICATION

Naturals by Watsons Rice Bran Cream Bath smells fresh and subtle. It comes in a thin cloudy liquid type that lathers richly when applied onto the skin. Not as soapy as other body washes though so if you have perspired the entire day, you may have to use a lot more than what you normally use. This is just a minor issue though as product is inexpensive and it comes in a huge size bottle. Also, foamy cleansers can be too drying as well. I like that it rinses well and doesn't leave the skin taut and dry - thanks to all the oils and extracts it has.

PERFORMANCE

This is a great household product that you have to purchase if you are looking for a safe and affordable cream bath to use at home. It keeps skin healthy and soft and it definitely would bring out the skin's natural glow as it cleanses and refreshes skin. I'll definitely repurchase because everyone at home is liking it.

Sample Room Green Tea Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Lotion Review

Sample Room Essentials
Bought for: Free
From: Sample Room

A few weeks ago, I received a loot from Sample Room from being chosen as the Roommate of The Month from March-May and apart from few makeup pieces, I also received some bath essentials with Sample Room's brand name and logo in its packaging. And so they have come up with their own new line of bath products? Well, that's something new! I'm glad I am one of the first people who got the first dibs on it.

In this blog, I would just share my experience with their Green Tea Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Lotion which I have used recently. They came in 50ml (I believe so) pump bottles that are travel-friendly and are tinted blue and it only took me exactly a week to finish everything. Here's what I have to say!

GREEN TEA SHAMPOO

Given the packaging, I find this product the hardest to dispense since the formula is much thinner than the others so I have to pump A LOT of times before I get the amount I need to lather my hair. It smells exactly like Green Tea which I really love! The formula was slightly tinted green but the blue bottle enhances the shade even better so it appears a little bit olive from the packaging.

This product has a thin and runny consistency and I find it hard to create suds from it. Those with thicker manes may have problem with that. Also, upon using it, I developed itchy scalp and I had a bad case of dandruff. I tried washing my hair even more thoroughly than usual for the succeeding uses and I even skipped conditioner, but to no avail. I guess my skin wasn't used to a certain ingredient this product might contain. :(

GREEN TEA CONDITIONER

This conditioner smells like Green Tea as well with a hint of mint--very soothing to the senses. It relaxes hair strands 'cause my hair appears straighter whenever I use this and the shampoo. However, my hair gets tangled more often and although it looks shiny on the outside, it feels a bit stiff and rough. You get what I mean? Lol.

GREEN TEA BODY WASH

The body wash looks like the shampoo in consistency and shade, smells almost exactly the same as well but this one is my second favorite just because it makes my skin feels hydrated after wash. It does not strip the skin off its natural moisture even though it does great in cleansing the skin. It lathers on quite easily and a little goes a long way.

GREEN TEA LOTION

The lotion is pearly white in shade, smells like Green Tea but with a slight hint of Eucalyptus mint which smells very soothing not just to my skin, but to my senses as well. The fragrance  lingers for few more minutes after application and it very much reminds me of Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea Perfume. The lotion blends and absorbs easily on the skin without the heavy greasy feeling. After application, my skin was always super soft and smooth! It gives off some powdery/velvety feeling without dryness. I am used to SPF-based lotion (this one does not have it), but I consider this as an exemption. I just simply love it!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

The Green Tea Body Wash and Lotion are something you should try! I just don't know if they are already selling these or if these are meant to be sold but just in case, you might want to keep on the lookout. They came in a cute mini canvas bag as well which I am now using to store my daily essentials lol. I don't have a rough estimation of the prices right now but soon maybe.

Do these products interest you? Let me know!

Get Soft and Smooth Skin With The New Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap

Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash (200ml) and Soap (80g)
Bought for: Points | SRP: P80; P28.75
Bought from: Sampleroom

Hello everyone! I have discovered something recently while I was browsing at Sampleroom! I did not know Palmolive has body wash in their skin care line already before that. Whoa! Knowing their shampoos which all smell so lovely and long-lasting, I just can't wait to try their newest products too! This is the Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap with 100% natural milk protein extract. I like products with milk on it because they smell so nice and yummy as if they can be eaten. They are also nourishing, brightening, moisturizing and making skin soft and smooth. This is why I am always looking forward to taking a bath lol.

PALMOLIVE NATURALS WHITE+MILK BODY WASH

CLAIMS (as per Sampleroom):

Palmolive Naturals White + Milk Soap’s formula is infused with 100% natural milk protein, helps nourish and reveal whiter skin in just 1 week*, so you can flaunt your naturally milky white, milky soft skin. Its rich formula contains mild cleansers and natural whiteners that help moisturize and leaves skin looking radiant. Its long-lasting fragrance gives you a pleasurable bathing experience. *Based on mexameter instrumental reading when used twice daily

DIRECTIONS:

For the best lather apply a small amount of liquid to a wet sponge or cleansing puff. Massage onto body, then rinse well. Not to be used for children under three years of age.

PACKAGING

The packaging for Palmolive body wash are almost the same with their shampoos, nothing fancy or anything. However, I really appreciate that it's loaded with information like claims, directions, Ingredients, expiry date, etc. One bottle with 200ml of products retails for as low as P80 and it claims to last up to 50 washes! This is definitely one of the drugstore body washes that are so affordable and economical to use!

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY

The body wash is sheer white in color and has a bit of a runny consistency. Unlike other body wash in the market, this seems to have a thinner consistency so I ended up having wasted products every time I take a bath because it just slips from my hands. Maybe you could try applying it directly to sponges/towels so that you can maximize your use to it. What I use every bath is a spoonful of Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and it's already enough to create a lather that could give the skin some extra cleaning.

PALMOLIVE NATURALS WHITE+MILK SOAP

This is a typical Palmolive Soap that is housed in a box with detailed information about the product. It comes in an opaque white color and by the looks of it, I think this 80g soap will last me more or less two weeks. Just like other Palmolive soaps, this one does not melt easily on soap dishes. It also smells similar to the pleasant scent of the body wash and is non-drying to the skin despite its whitening claims.

Before I apply the body wash to my skin, I make sure to cleanse it with Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Soap first to ensure that the body wash will lather afterwards. In the Philippines where the weather will make you perspire extremely, you sure will be covered with oils and dirt at the end of the day and lathering products on your skin will take extra effort. I'm sure it will take spoonfuls of the body wash before I get squeaky clean skin. With this soap, I can have well-cleansed skin in just one application.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I really like the new Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap! They make me smell so great after wash and they even linger on for few minutes to hours! Using them both makes my skin smoother, softer and even looks healthier! I did not even find them irritating on the skin so these must be a really good steal considering their affordable price point. I highly recommend these to everyone especially to those with dry skin who needs more hydrating cleansers like this.

Have you tried The New Palmolive Naturals White+Milk Body Wash and Soap? Let me know if you decide to get your free samples at Sampleroom! Happy blogging!
