I have always loved Vedette Facial Masks that whenever I spot them during a quick online shopping at Beautymnl, I make sure to snag some masks from the brand. I wouldn't mind hoarding because I opt for free shipping and Vedette masks aren't so accessible. I'm not sure if Watsons sells them, but I rarely see these (or totally not) whenever I'm in the mall. If you happen to know retailers of Vedette masks, let me know!

The whole idea of clay masks always really had me sold because I think they are just safe and natural. I just had some issues with them before because clays in powdered form usually cause me breakouts when left longer than necessary. Also, I find them too drying. As much as I would like to time soaking my face into clay masks, the whole idea may just sound preposterous because come on, they are masks that should be left for a definite time, otherwise what are they called? Sometimes, I think that the mere contact of my skin and clay itself can already cause abrupt negative reaction. Or maybe the tiny particles just really clog my over-sized pores. I'm not really sure, but either way, I opt for cream based clay masks like this because they seem to tighten my pores, smoothen it and clarify the skin tone.

Texture, Consistency and Ease of Application

The product has a pale peach color and is thick and creamy. It blends easily once applied and a little goes a really long way. One sachet is good for two uses, could be three actually depends on how thick you want your mask to be. The mask dries completely in about 10-15 minutes and a bit hard to rinse off due to the thick consistency. 

Scent

It has a citrusy scent, something so refreshing and unlike other clay masks, this does not have any weird smell.

Performance

What I love about this clay mask is that it smoothen the skin and gets rid of any rough spots. It feels cool and refreshing on the skin too. It won't give a dry or taut feeling as if it sucked out all moisture on your skin. It seems to tighten the skin and make it firmer while also providing a boost of moisture and nourishment. Your skin will look brighter and healthier afterwards. It also detoxifies the skin and remove excess grime and oil.

However, there's just one thing I noticed the next day I wake up. There were new tiny bumps all over my face. I am not really sure if this product causes the sudden breakout or maybe my hormones were to blame. After all, I'm on my third day (period).

Overall Thoughts

I would still repurchase other clay variants from Vedette because I really like how it seems to clarify and hydrates the skin immediately considering I just used it for two times (just two days in between).  I just don't think that results of having reduced wrinkles and blackheads could show up after a few sessions. That might really take a long time. Nonetheless, these are a good value for money and would be a good substitute for cream based masks if you are on a tight budget!

I am now proud of myself because no matter how busy I can be, I never neglect taking care of my skin anymore and I am able to maintain spa sesh at home that includes convenient to use products such as masks (big thanks to the founders!!!). Recently, I tried Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet wherein I had lots of positive feedbacks. This time, I will be talking about their White Tea Purifying Peel-Off Mask and let's see which variant I like better!

Claims, Directions, Ingredients, Expiry dates

PACKAGING

The product comes in sachets with loads of information like claims, ingredients, directions for us, expiry and manufacturing dates in different languages. They said a piece is sufficient for 2-3 uses but it appears to me that a sachet is just good enough for one use. Haha! I have tried peel-off masks before and you could only get to have a 'good' peel if you put a generous amount on.

SCENT

I forgot what exact scent this product has (you know I am bad at describing scents) but I know it smells a little like glues which I do not find too bothersome. However, if you are used to good-smelling masks, you might find this a bit off-putting.

TEXTURE / CONSISTENCY / EASE OF APPLICATION

This mask comes in a clear and very viscous gel form that is so sticky so it adheres well into the skin once applied. I did have a hard time putting all of the contents into my face because I kept on putting layers on (lol). My mistake though. I should have applied generous amount the first thing I applied it onto my skin to avoid tugging. Make sure you apply this evenly and wait for 15-30 minutes (depends on room temperature) or until the mask is completely dried before you peel it off. I like staying in front on the fan or air conditioner while I have mask on because I find it more cooling and refreshing. And your mask will dry even faster!

PERFORMANCE

The dried mask reminds me very much of dried glues lol. I can barely move with this on because of the tight feeling. Peeling the mask would hurt a lot especially if you have facial hairs like me. It pretty much hurt almost everywhere but I don't mind, I'm use to it lol. If you have none though, I am pretty sure peeling the mask won't be of a hassle.

I'm glad I put a lot on because I peeled the mask without tearing apart so it's much more easier. I thought it can pull out whiteheads or blackheads on my skin just like other peel-off masks but it just pulled tiny hairs and a little bit of dirt. Although it's true to its claim since it does remove dead skin cells on the skin as well as skin impurities such as dirt and oil! My skin was very soft and smooth like baby's butt after removing the mask and I noticed that it got glowing, bright and well-moisturized! Usually, I know my skin reacts badly to certain peel-off masks if I develop whiteheads/tiny white bumps on my skin but not with this product from Vedette. There were no sudden breakouts s well.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

Overall, I like this Vedette White Tea Purifying Peel Off Mask but I'm liking mask sheets even more because those are much easier to use and are a lot refreshing to tired skin like mine. Still, I would highly recommend this product to all skin types especially to those with oily skin because this mask could be mattifying but not drying. It is formulated with white tea known to maintain healthy skin. It is safe to use twice a week and is reasonably priced.

Being someone who is really dedicated to work, I feel like me-times are now impossible. Even pampering sessions at home which I used to do before were something I usually neglect now. Being a beauty junkie, I should never let this happen so just recently, I decided to at least incorporate masks in my skin care regime at least twice to thrice a week to revive my tired and dull skin. Even though I am lacking time to go to salons and have my maintenance facials, I am grateful for the loads of mask sheets now available in the market. Picking up the day's 'flavor' seems so convenient. Now, I can sleep with mask on, so in a way, I am able to maximize my time even more.

Going home from work just the other day, I never felt so restless in my life. But! I'm scheduled for another mask session (this time with my Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet) and I am not the type of person to break what I say so...enough with my blabbering and let's proceed to the brief review about my experience with this mask sheet from a Vietnamese brand, Vedette, which has been a cult favorite and another awesome skin care discovery for me!

Free from harmful ingredients!

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

The mask has Kiwi and Yoghurt as its active ingredients and being an enthusiast of beauty and skin care items, I learned that they are proven effective in giving wonders to the skin. Kiwi (one of my favorite fruits) is rich in Vitamin C that rejuvenates the skin, aids in the regeneration of skin cells, controls oil, possesses anti-aging properties that make skin firm and supple, whitens skin, and aids in soothing and preventing skin problems. Yoghurt (one of my favorite food as well!), on the other hands, is known to be a great source of Lactic Acid which also prevents aging, moisturizes skin, fights acne, treats skin problems and tightens pores among all other benefits.

APPLICATION

After washing my face and patting it dry, I put the mask on and rest for minutes until my skin absorb most of the product. The only time I remove the mask on my skin is when I felt like the sheet is almost dry and sticking to my face.

SCENT

The product has light citrusy scent that is wonderful to my senses. It just adds to the calming effect I felt upon usage. Nothing overpowering.

PACKAGING

The packaging is very clean, simple yet informative. The whole sachet is even bigger than other mask sheets in the market. Upon opening, you will see that the mask itself is soaked well into the solution. There are even liquids left inside which you can use after you remove the mask for further moisture. You may also want to apply it on the rest of your body so it's not only your face that gets to receive nutrients. The mask itself fits the shape of my face perfectly which I really like because I have round face and most Korean face masks have structures different from mine.

PERFORMANCE

Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet is suitable for all skin types. I have oily skin so I quite am expecting some greasy or sticky feel after use. Turns out that there was very little sticky feel which is another point for me because most of the masks I used before were all super sticky and greasy that I cannot withstand the feeling so I rinse the products off  my face with water. This product is gentle as well for I did not experience any tingling sensation or signs of breakouts and other adverse reactions. Using this for more or less 30 minutes, I notice that my pores became less visible and my face brightened up a bit. My complexion was soft and smooth and I get rid of rough spots on my nose and chin area.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

Overall, I highly recommend this mask to everyone. What's there to lose, right? A sachet is super affordable st P55 and is effective in reviving tired and dull skin! If you have dry skin, expect that the product will sink right in and would give you that extra moisture your skin needs. Vedette Yoghurt Mask Sheet is a really good skin care discorvery and I would love to try out their other variants soon!
