If you have read my previous reviews about lip products, you know very much by now that I have super sensitive lips. Whatever lip product I put on, it just makes it worst. Sometimes, oh no, most of the time, even lip balms that are intended to hydrate lips do the contrary. They tend to make my skin more chapped and dry. The only product I use that are really effective are Petroleum Jellies. Currently, I am using my Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. I would not like to rave in a review post that are not about them but they have become a holy grail for me. Can't seem to run out of it. However, being a beauty junkie and a hoarder of anything makeup and skin care, I can't help trying out something interesting like Blushing Beauty Lick my Lips Color-Changing Lip Balm.
Yes, I know you are not new to color-changing lip balms. I remember back in high school, cheap color-changing lipsticks became popular that most of my girl classmates have them in different fun colors and scents. Oh the old days. Imagine a green apple-colored lippie turned bloody red!
Para maiba, this time lip balms now have color-changing properties! Well, I prefer it better than lipsticks (that are so drying) because they can tint the lips, at the same time, moisturize it.
As you can see, the product is housed in a bite-size container with 5g of product inside and that is so easy to pick up and store in pouches during travel. It is so handy and is convenient to use anytime, anywhere. The only downside I see in terms of its packaging is the dipping method (yuck!) I have to always use to scoop up the lip balm inside.
I have been using this for days now before I go to school as it does not take time to apply. You just have to get some good amount, spread it on your lips and voila! Fresh! If you are too lazy to use lippies or if you want to sport a no-makeup makeup look, this is for you.
The consistency of this lip balm is similar to typical lip moisturizers with a subtle strawberry scent but thinner (at least among the drugstore lip balms I use). It does not feel heavy on the lips nor too greasy. I have tried a color-changing lip balm before which has shimmers on it, thank goodness this is plain as I'm not really a fan of super shimmery shiny lip balms. Also, if you have problems with dull or darkened lips, this product will easily hide it.
Overall, I like this lip balm as it is so useful during quick and easy touch-ups although I do not think it could replace Petroleum Jellies in my heart. It hydrates the lips only temporarily and I am still aiming for a lip balm that could deliver a long-term effect, something that will help me get rid of my super dry and chapped lips.
Have you tried Blushing Beauty Lick my Lips Color-Changing Lip Balm? Any thoughts? Happy blogging!
