Soul Skin PH Spot Me Clear Skin Solution Cleansing Potion and Light Cream

Spot Me Clear Skin Solution Cleansing Potion, 50ml
Spot Me Clear Skin Solution Light Cream
Bought for: Free: P320 (including the soap)

When Ms. Hannah (woo! We've got the same name, only I don't have 'h' at the end of my name!) of Soul Skin PH send me their Spot Me Clear Skin Solution Cleansing Potion and Light Cream, I must admit I get overjoyed because I have several troubled spots a.k.a. blemishes and pimple scars on my face most evidently on the cheek and jaw area. Well, that's where I get most of the dreaded zits all the time. The point is, I could use some skin care products to at least lighten their appearance on my face. Who would want dark marks with layers of concealers? Not me! It was also right on time as I am running out of my favorite skin care from Bioessence--one of my latest discovery yay! If you haven't read my first facial from Bioessence, you might want to read this here and my review here! That's where I get my holy grail top skin care products, the Acnetrol Set!

By the way, Soul Skin PH is one of the booming Instagram shops which promotes selling and using of organic and natural products to consumers. Because the package does not come with their counterpart soap, I decided to use another soap (from SVR Infinity) to use together with this duo which I will be featuring on my next post. I combined them because I know they would pretty much get along and I'm pretty and pretty much right! Kidding! :P

Spot Me Clear Skin Solution Cleansing Potion

The first product is the Spot Me Clear Skin Solution Cleansing Potion, such a cute name for their toner, isn't it? Anyway, here's what it claims: achieve spot-free, gentle and stunning beauty as The Spot Me Clear! Beauty Regimen kicks away all those pimples and unwanted pimple marks.

Direction for use: Pour sufficient amount to wet cotton ball and apply on clean face.

Ingredients: Aqua, Alcohol Denat, Acetic Acid, Apple Cider Vinegar, Propylene Glycol, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Water and Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit/Leaf Extract, saccharum Officinabum (SUgar Cane) Extract and Citrus, Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract and Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract and Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Cl 42090

It would be my first time trying out a product with and Apple Cider Vinegar on it and this explains why thi toner smells a little sour but that does not mean it's off-putting to me. Just like I always say, I'm not very particular to product scents as long as it's not awfully unbearable. Also, Green Tea Extracts on products make me trust them more. I have no explanation to my belief but I just think that Green Tea-infused products suit my skin. Lol!

This toner is housed in a very simple recyclable plastic packaging with that usual cover that tightly shuts with a snap. It has stickers with proper labeling (directions, storage, ingredients, warning, manufacturing and expiry date and other details just without desription). The product is in color light moss green and which dries quickly upon application. I like that it dries to a matte finish too, perfect for oily-skinned like me. With all the ingredients mentioned above, I believe this is jampacked with goodness yay!

Spot Me Clear Skin Solution Light Cream

The cream in locked in a cute small tub with a twist-able cover. Actually, I can't describe it but the packaging looks somehow deceiving in amount when viewed sideways because of the thick plactic. Though according to Soul Skin, it only has 15g of product inside. Fret not, as a little goes a long way naman. The packaging has manufacturing and expiry date and proof of authenticity, other than that, description, ingredients, etc are not provided.

According to Soul Skin PH, this light cream has the power of aloe vera and naturals oils that add life to spot-free skin. It may also work as your night regimen and makeup base and help you appear perfect for spotlight.

The cream has a thick creamy white cream but really dries quite quickly and applies very lightly on feeling. It does not feel anything greasy at all and does not look shiny when dried. In fact, it looks matte but not like flat matte. You will still feel that your skin is well-moisturized despite the non-shine finish. And yes, just like what I have said, it's light on skin, though not serum-light but still light. Lol.

Using this for more than two weeks is a good experience. It does not break me out big time but it also does not really prevent pimples from popping out. Good thing is, pimples are smaller this time and not as red as when I use products that does not suit my skin. Overall, I like this duo. Very affordable, safe and low maintenance skin care.

Til my next post. Happy blogging!

Sooper Beaute Lip and Cheek Stains in Vamp and Sweetie (Creme and Fluid Tint) Review

Last December, I had to hoard lots of Sooper Beaute's products including their lip and cheek tints. I plan on reviewing it a long time ago already but they ended up on the bottom of my stash (no idea) except for the Vamp in the formula of Creme because it's not just my favorite, it's in fact both my and my girlfriends'! To be honest, we love the color payoff so much that we were totally saddened after we figured out SB is not anymore producing any of these. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think SB pulled these products out in the market already. Forgive me for still writing about these tints, I just can't get over it.

I forgot the original price of each but when they went on sale (up to 70% off), I went gaga and immediately purchased these ranging from only P60-P80, if my memory serves me right.

There are two shades available for every formula. The first formula is in Creme which has a mousse-like consistency. The pink one is named Sweetie while the red is Vamp. You would easily memorize it because pink fits best for innocence (Sweetie) while red signifies boldness (Vamp). The second formula is in fluid tint, runny/watery-like in consistency and dries easier. Again, the pink one is Sweetie, the red is Vamp.

All four has that familiar doe-foot applicator which makes blending easier. They also have aztec-printed stickers for the body except the cover for fluid tints are plain silver in color. The whole packaging is indeed travel-friendly too. You're asking for the scent? I can't explain but for me, it's not really that off-putting.

My most favorite just like what I have said is the Vamp in Creme. It has a bright red shade that can go as true as red depends on the amount you put on your lips. On lazy days, applying tiny amounts for a little skin toning is fine. If I feel like fixing myself more than the usual, then I would go for a deeper shade. That's the magic with tints, you can control the shade you want your lips to appear.

The photo above shows that swatches of each product and after I wipe them away with handkerchief. Just look at the lovely stains! Again, my favorite is the Vamp in Creme because it has a good color payoff, its longevity is okay, and it leaves a natural stain on the lips. Its counterpart is what I hate the most though--the Vamp in Fluid Tint because it feels hot and a little painful on lips (when you have chapped lips), it leaks, and it's the hardest to control in terms of consistency (you know what I mean).

If you read my previous blog post about Etude House Dear Darling  Lip and Cheek Tint, you would know how I'm not so much into pinks and I prefer red all the more. However, if I am to choose between the Sweetie in Creme and Sweetie in Fluid Tint, I would go for the tint because the creme appears almost like nothing, like you don't put anything on unless you apply on too much amount.

One thing I don't like about it is that it's like the rest. All the tints I've tried seem to be so drying on the lips. Unfortunately, I have very sensitive lips to the point that it gets dry and chapped even after a few minutes of applying any lip products. ANY LIP PRODUCTS!!! Tints, lipsticks, some lip balms, name it, I hate it. Lol.

Overall, I like Sooper Beaute Lip and Cheek Stains in Vamp and Sweetie! They were affordable (but because they were on sale), has a good color payoff and survival period on lips. They are also free from harmful chemicals because the seller is an advocate of safe, natural and organic products. I know they were already pulled-out, still, I do hope they restock on Vamp in Creme because it has been a holy grail for me and my friends!

CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar Review

CP-Raspberry Treatment Vinegar
Bought for: P250 (Original Price: Over P700)
Bought from: Althea Philippines

The past few months, my hair has been taken for granted. I thought they needed less care so I paid more attention to skin care instead. It's also because I thought my hair is okay--I mean it was never dry nor coarse until I had my hair dyed twice before. What I noticed is that it became drier than usual and I get lots of hairfall. That started my search for hair care products that would address these problems. When Althea deducted additional pesos for CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar, I know I have to buy one. It comes in a large bottle with 500ml of products inside so super sulit talaga siya knowing that it would last me months.

CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar claims to... (Read below :)

I am not supposed to take a photo of the information at the back but just in case you can read Korean. Hoho!

It comes in a fuchsia pink liquid with raspberry scent that stays all day as long as you don't indulge much on heavy activities. The consistency is watery runny so take extra care as you apply this on your hair as it has the tendency to spill somewhere when slipped on fingers. What I likeit how it keeps my hair feeling light all day at the same time gives a hydrated layer to my hair with that sweet familiar scent of raspberries. This product does not cause my hair to break or have split ends as well.

Overall, I love CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar. It makes hair instant soft and smooth each day. This can be avery good maintenance treatment after you had your hair colored or rebonded. It is so affordable given its size, hyrdating and conditioning for our manes. Highly recommended to anyone if you want an all day light and manageable hair without splurging much for expensive hair salon treatments.

Althea Turns 1!

Okay, let me tell you how ecstatic I got when Ms. Tammy told me that Althea's turning one. Is it? It only feels like yesterday when I fortunately became one of their bloggers. No wonder how successful they have become knowing that they do care so much both to their influencers as seen with their overflowing generosity and customers who eventually and predictably became loyal buyers. This post, however, aims to greet Althea a happy, happy 1st birthday!

Imagine, today's Althea's birthday but they are the ones who's gonna shower us with birthday presents. Curious? Later! For now let me share to you what I got from Althea using their credits that they sent me! All of them are makeup products that I have been eyeing for so long already! I think its already my 7th box from them? By the way, there's other two boxes which I purchased long before their birthday celebration and which I haven't posted here yet. They are going to be the meat for my next blog post!

First thing that I got is the Witch Pouch Color Corrector Cream in Natural Beige with SPF50 + PA+++. I like to try it because it's an editor's pick and I haven't bought myself any CC Cream much from the brand, Witch Pouch, before. Let's see if this is really good!

Next is this Witch Pouch Foundation Renewal in Shade 21 (Natural Beige) which I bought to accomodate my CC Cream. I would definitely use them both. Normally, I would get the shade 21 for foundations and bb creams but upon trying out Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream both in Shade 21 and 23, I figured out I'm more of a 23. However, I don't know if there was a mistake but I got the shade in 21.

Third one is the Aura Radiance BB Foundation Cream. This is kinda new to me that's why I purchased it. I'm currently into BB Creams and Foundations too so it becomes an addition to my growing stash. Plus it's a 2-in-1! Yay!

Currently, my go-to lip products are lip tints. I like them, unfortunately, it seems they do not like me back because they tend to dry my lips big time. That is why, I am finding a brand that will keep it moisturized. Hope this The Saem Saemmul Real Tint in No. 01. would do the trick!

Last but definitely not the least, I've got Missha Under Eye Brightener in Fair. I am not really a fan of concealers or concealer user and fortunately, my undereyes are not that dark to be needing any brightening in the first place but I'd like to still try to use one. It's the most affordable in the selection so yeah, might as well put it in the cart.

And those are my new makeup haul! Hope you could share yours sometime. I bet you are going to hoard once you hear this big news!

Althea's Birthday Celebration will run from 20th to 31st July, 2016. You may avail items that will come with a Limited Edition Birthday Box and DIY Party Kit for orders placed on 20/7 onwards. Skin Care Organic Body Scrubs in Coffee Latte and Strawberry Cream Milk Review

Coffee Latte 300g
Strawberry Cream Milk 300g
Bought for: Free | SRP: P350/ea
From: Skin Care Organic
I think I have said this a lot of times already, that body scrubs are my ultimate favorites just because they really are. A lot of products claim to have an effect as early as first use, but it's just body scrubs which never fail me. They always makes skin smooth and soft even on day one. That is why every time it's mail time, body scrubs on packages excites me big time.

I was supposed to post this a long time ago already but ended up doing it just right now. I don't know why maybe because I suffered poor time management these past few days. Anyway, what I am going to review right now are body scrubs from Skin Care Organic! Yay!  Thanks so much for the generous load of goodies! I can't thank you enough! ☺

Both comes in a cute plastic bottle with a whooping 300g content so rest assured that every penny you ought to drop is super worth it given amount of scrub inside. In fact, siksik pa nga yung laman as in! And it weighs unbelievably heavy. Both are dry scrubs,  meaning not cream-based but not really hard to blend on wet skin.

Coffee Latte

Skin Care Organic Coffee Latte claims to... (read the photo down below! :)

Coffee has such a nice relaxing scent to incorporate to products, thanks to whoever thought of taking coffee externally. It has a strong scent of coffee which I love and the scent lingers after a while so as the Strawberry Cream Milk. Thus, it doubles up as scrub and body perfume as well.

This scrub is easy to blend, a little abrasive for face use but still workable on that part since it claims to reduce dark and baggy undereyes. You just have to gently scrub and avoid using too much. This increases circulation on your blood vessels too. Applying it on the body is no problem as it glides on wet skin easily. However, if you have dry skin, try mixing it with a little bit of honey for extra hydration.

Strawberry Cream Milk

Skin Care Organic Strawberry Cream Milk claims to...
This scrub has a very nice scent to it--combination of strawberries and creamy milk. I hope there's a perfume smells like this lol. Or even lotions. Super bango niya para sa akin. And it also lingers on skin even after bath. I even got addicted sniffing my skin afterwards. That's how good smelling it is for me. Grabe lang. This is my first time encountering a scrub that has a strong scent and is long-lasting.
Also, this is the only dry scrub that I will be able to use on my face without the dreaded sting. Usually, salt causes pain especially on pimples, but with this one, softening skin and removing dead skin cells has been an effortless thing to do. The scrubs are same with others in terms of abrasiveness so be extra careful and gentle on massaging this on skin.

Overall, I love Skin Care Organic Body Scrubs in Coffee Latte and Strawberry Cream Milk. They are affordable given its amount, effective in removing dry and rough patches on skin. I highly recommend it to anyone unless you are allergic to ingredients mentioned above. If you have sensitive skin,  doing some patch test is highly advisable. If you do not have any more concern, go and try these babies out! They are made from natural and organic ingredients so rest assured you get pure benefits from these!

First Impression: Skin Bounty + Products

Oaty-Refic Soap
Dirt Out Detox Mask
Milk Scrub

I was so happy that once again, another IG brand that promotes organic products collaborated with me. They sent me three products to review which I am going to talk about today for some first impression post. But before anything else, let me introduce to you Skin Bounty--a Davao-based IG shop which sells clay masks (yay!), body scrubs, beauty oils and wax. To be honest, I love all the products that she sent me--Oaty-Refic Soap, Dirt Out Detox Mask, and Milk Scrub.

Oaty-Refic Soap, 135-150grams

This soap has a mild sweet-smelling scent, kinda similar to Go Bare's Oat Milk Porridge Soap. It also looks creamy with honey (makes skin glow with its superb uses) and oats (as mild exfoliants) as its main ingredients. It claims to help tame skin inflammation and itching and is comedogenic, raw and unscented (But why do I smell something sweet? Weird.)  Talk about organic yay! Let's see if this has a similar formula in terms of its 'sudsiness', texture and effects. I also love the embossed brand name on the body. I really have high hopes for this because this soap is included in their bestseller. So yeah, time for some road test!

Dirt Out Detox Mask, P135/30grams

It would be my first time to try a face mask that I will have to dilute first with water to make a paste then apply it on my face. Let me just tell you how excited I am to use this! Very promising indeed! This product claims to be made with main two all natural ingredients--French Green Clay which draws out toxins, improves blood circulation, and proote skin healing and Activated Charcoal which is known to deeply cleanse and detoxify skin, helps unclog pores, pulls unwanted excess oils, treats acne and aids inflammation. Wee, I feel like this product will befriend my acne-prone skin!

Milk Scrub (with heavenly vanilla scent), P95/100grams

I've got tons of milk scrubs in my stash and it's kinda hard to figure out how they differ to each other in terms of effects because I barely see none. They differ on the fineness (some are abrasive, others have finer granules), scent and texture but other than that, NADA. They all make my skin soft and smooth after first wash unless maybe if I could only use one for such a long period of time. I tried using this scrub last night and I can say that it totally smells creamy nice and helps my skin get rid of dead skin cells. Love love!

I'll be posting reviews soon after I road-test each for a good duration. For now, this will be my first impression about Skin Bounty's products! I just love organic shops like Skin Bounty and I'll forever be a die-hard supporter.

Eco Skin Love Lip and Cheek Tint in Baby Doll (Pink) Review

Lip and Cheek Tint in Baby Doll 10ml
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P110

Claims: This lip tint has an improved formula that is longer-lasting, has a sweet scent like candy, non-drying, composed of food-grade colorants, does not darken lips, made from natural ingredients, does not clog pores and is affordable.

Ingredients: H2O, Fruit Pigment, Fruit Extracts, Flavoring

This lip and cheek tint comes in a roll-on type of packaging which makes application so easy. However, it sometimes tend to lick on the outer corner of the roll-on so be careful. I seriously fell in love with the packaging. Well, who would not? It looks so posh in a heavy glass container with a golden twist-able cover and a cute-looking sticker covering its body which also has the ingredient list and direction for use.

The picture below shows the product when swatched (left side) and when wiped out with tissue paper and some water (right side). Its claim to be long-lasting is true as it takes extra hard work to remove the lip stain on my skin. Also, be careful not to swipe too much as a little goes a long way and too much would make your lips looking bright pink.

To be honest, I am not really a fan of pink tints, usually, I love to hoard red to bloody red shades because they look more natural on me. Nonetheless, I am loving it because of its sweet scent which makes it hard for me not to try to lick my lips. Unfortunately, it taste a little between bitter and nothing. Just like other tints, this still dries my lips which, by the way, are so sensitive with lip products. Still, longevity wise, this is a winner.

This tint has a runny formula and dries easily so you better blend it immediately using your fingers before you get an uneven finish. This does not feel sticky too unlike other tints that I have tried in my life. Also, expect that this is transfer-proof so you need not to worry direct contact with things.

Overall, I love Eco Skin Love Lip and Cheek Tint in Baby Doll (Pink)! This is so affordable at only P110 for a 10ml roll-on. It's long-lasting and travel-friendly so you can depend on it for activity-filled day to look fresher. Again, the only problem I have with this is my shade preference. I prefer red more than pink but if you love the latter more than the former, then, I highly recommend this tint to you! Not a single regret!

Until my next post! Happy blogging!

Limited Edition Myra-E Triple Beauty Hand and Body Lotion Review

Limited Edition Myra-E Triple Beauty Hand and Body Lotion
Bought for: P165 P82.50 (sale at 20% off)
Bought from: Department Store, SM Manila

A few weeks ago, while my boyfriend and I were wandering on the beauty section of a department store (of course I was the one who dragged him there), I spotted some Myra-E products on one section in the shelves and they were all slashed with a 50% off discount. I had a hard time which lotion to get until my eyes caught a limited edition variant. I knew I want it but I just can't get myself to buy it because I had a lot more important stuff in my mind to buy back then even if it is so affordable. I can't get my eyes off of it because I was afraid it will not take too long and it will get soldout. I don't know if my boyfriend saw it in my eyes because he purchased it for me. So thank you so much!  He even pretended it will be for him. Ugh,  if I know.

It retails for P80 something instead of P165. Hihi! Super mura na siya as in for a 150 ml tube of lotion. I like the packaging--it's cute and very informative. And since it's in a tube, the product can slide out easily for use. It also has a very fruity scent to it. I won't wonder why because according to it, it has 6 SUPER FRUITS (Acai, Black Berry, Black Currant, Mangosteen, Noni and Pomegranate) for healthy, bright, soft, smooth and young-looking skin. It also claims to promote collagen production and whiter skin and reduce fine lines in just one week. It is also hypoallergenic.

Well, I haven't use any lotion before that fulfills the promise of whiter skin in just one week so reading those made me a bit skeptical about it. However, the promise of 6 Super Fruits are too good to ignore. Yay! I hope you can read what are on the photos below. Sorry for the low quality photos.

And check out the ingredient list if you want or very particular about it. Yeah, paraben spotted. Uh-oh.

At first, I plan on using this as my hand cream because of how moisturizing it is and I have very dry palms. But then, I ran out of my current lotion and decided to give this a shot. After I finished my Gluta-C lotion, I immediately switched to i, applying this every morning and every night after bathing.

As you can see on the photo above, this lotion has a white creamy consistency--neither too thick nor too runny, just enough to moisturize parched pelts for a long period of time. It also dries easily and does not leave a super sticky feeling after application, just a healthy sheen which I am loving. After using it for a week, there is not much difference on my skin tone. I'm not hurt because I did not expect so much from an uber affordable product like this. But who knows? Maybe with continued use, it may reveal a whiter skin underneath! Just don't lose hope!

Overall, I love this lotion. It is so affordable, works well in moisturizing the skin, so practical to buy, have pleasant smell and is in great packaging, I definitely would repurchase provided that it will still be available til then. I highly recommend it to everyone whether you have dry, sensitive or oily skin!

Etude House Mini Haul + Dear Darling Lip Tint in #02 & Dear Girls Lip Balm in #02 Review

Etude House Dear Darling Tint, P248 at 20% off
Etude House Dear Girls Lip Balm, P278 at 20% off
Bought from: Etude House, SM Manila

I once came across a blog post before saying that this Dear Darling Lip Tint retailed at no more than P200. Well, the price hike is quite noticeable because nowadays, you can avail this tint for over P200. So as the lip balm. So when Etude House announced on their social media that they were going to have a huge sale last July 1-3, 2016 (June 30 was the start at some branches) which they rarely do, I literally jump out of nowhere to get to the nearest boutique. In my case, SM Manila is. Intentionally, I was about to hoard their sheet masks but to no avail. They said the were going to have an all-item sale and I figured out that maybe mask sheets have been sold out earlier that day or they kept them on a warehouse so their meager price won't drop anymore due to sale. I don't know which one should I believe but I was so frustrated back then. Until I came across the center shelves with all their lip products on-hand. I suddenly exclaimed to my self, "Why not take time to take care of my lips from now on? I ran out of lip balm anyway."

I was not financially prepared for this sale so I only was able to grab two lip products when I should have bought the lip scrub as well. Unfortunately, it was P400 something and I only have P300 something left on my pocket. Mission aborted.

Etude House Dear Darling Tint

The product comes in a cute, pink and very princess-y looking kind of packaging with a typical doe-foot applicator which lip tints, lip glosses and liquid lipsticks have. Very posh and girly. Kaya naman prefer ng mga kikays like me. It also has a sweet strawberry-ish scent which I really love!

It also has this bar code with the expiration date and shade number. There are four shades available (01 Berry Red, 02 Real Red, 03 Orange Red, 04 Vampire Red) but on sale, I just saw the #01 and #02. This is the shade #02. I got this instead of the #01 because the latter has a pinkish tint while this one is more of a true red in pigment and has strong peach undertone.

Swatches taken below are under natural lighting. As you can see, this tint has a very pigmented color and leaves a natural coral stain on the lips. It stays one for a good two hours with minimal drinking and eating. Not bad for a super affordable tint, yes? It feels slightly sticky on first minutes of drying but sets matte after a few more minutes. I like the packaging, the scent, the color payoff and everything but not the fact that it is drying on the lips. Well, most tints are that is why I had myself buy me lip balm that goes well with this.

Etude House Dear Girls Lip Balm

This product comes in a small tin jar with 10ml of product inside. Tin jars meant constant finger dipping which might be a major turn-off for OC people like me. Again, the best way to deal with it is to wash your hands first before dipping your fingers to avoid bacteria contamination and keep these kinds of products all by yourself and avoid lending cosmetics that involves physical contact. You might appear madamot but at least you care for hygiene, right?

This product is in the shade #2 and I don't know if it has other variants aside from the one in a white tin jar (if I am not mistaken). This is actually the last one left on the shelves--all her sisters are sold out so I was really lucky to still get my hands on it with a 20% discount.

The balm is in a peach shade and has a combination of sweet and citrus-y scent which I really love. It also tastes like nothing so you won't have a problem with licking your lips while with it. It also has a thick consistency that leaves a glossy finish but wears comfortably on the lips. It's there but you won't feel like you are smothered with greasy, heavy and sticky balms.

I have never been a fan of glossy and thick balms but this one is an exception. I have super dry and chappy lips but with this, my lips felt like it never has been this moisturized before. Lots of thumbs up for this! Best lip balm so far. I apply it every now and then and I love it!

What are the products included in your recent haul? Sale's everywhere so grab stocks while you can! I am keeping an eye on Skin Genie's 50% off products on Instagram. Yay! I'm coming. You too?
