Eco Skin Love Mineral DD Cream Review

Eco Skin Love Mineral DD Cream, 30ml
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P270
From: Eco Skin Love

Claims: Mineral-based SPF-30, minimizes pores, adjusts to any skin tone, whitens skin, blurs lines and pores, anti-pimples, anti-aging, suitable to any skin type, non-greasy, no white cast, can be used as makeup primer or can be used by itself

Ingredients: Macadamian Seed Oil, Mineral-based SPF30, Essential oils, Vit C, Glycerin, H2O, Fatty Acids, Epsom Salt

Here's a post that has long been overdue because I kept forgetting that I haven't written anything about it yet. I happened to remember it while I was commuting going to Monumento because one of the blogger/vlogger I admire went to Novo Monumento to buy some stuff. I guess I have to share with you my haul when I get home? Anyway, Novo is like a one-stop shop, more on like a mini mall where you can buy stuff from appliances to school stuff for a fraction of the mall's price! Seriously, all of the great buys there are dirt cheap! Uhm, so I was talking about Eco Skin Love DD Cream, the one I am using as a base primer the past few weeks.

First of all, are we familiar with DD Creams? Personally, I am not that yet knowledgeable about makeups so I have to use a search engine for my inquiry. To share with you, here's what futurederm.com (apparently the first site to come out) says about DD Creams: "DD Cream: Daily Defense. Like a glorified sunscreen. Called both a "daily defense" and less commonly a "dynamic do all", the DD cream is generally even lighter in texture than the CC cream. Like the BB cream and the CC cream, the DD cream generally has brightening and anti-aging ingredients."

So now that we have a little background about it, here's something about Eco Skin Love DD Cream for y'all!

First. packaging wise, I would say that this product is really travel-friendly as it comes in a plastic and not somewhere a fragile bottle and comes really small so it could fit pouches just perfectly unlike other heavy glass bottles of foundations. Second, it comes with a pump so dispensing product is something you have control on. Also, I would really like to comment on the labeling because it's got the description, benefits and ingredients all saying hi in there but no expiration nor manufacturing dates.

The formula, when dispensed, looked like typical creams and smells like baby powder, though I presume it offers only a sheer coverage which, apparently, was probed upon application. The consistency is a whole lot different from BB and CC Creams of course. Whereas BB and CC Creams have thicker and more viscous consistency, DD Creams has lighter feel to it. Actually, I remember tinted moisturizers to it except this one incredibly feels so much lighter on the skin. When applied, it blends and dries very easily without patchiness. It also does not cake with its semi-matte finish. It leaves no shine at all but it does not feel flat matte or drying matte. In fact, this DD Cream is a good day moisturizer and primer that could hydrate skin just enough. With this, I think it is perfect for whatever skin type.

Upon application, you will instantly notice how your skin turns more radiant, softer and smoother not just by look but to by feel as well. Using this would lessen the appearance of pores, scars, dark spots and blemishes on skin but just like what I have said, it only delivers a sheer coverage so if you are more of a coverage girl, then opt for foundations or BB Creams or if you want, apply them on top of this DD Cream.

By the way, a swatch is provided below. You will see that my skin is nowhere near perfect: oily, has large pores, dark spots, marks and blemishes. But I know, the photo will say it all. It does not perfectly hide all the imperfections but it makes my skin look more photogenic lol. And sorry for the awkward dried product in the second photo. I did not notice it until I cropped the photo smaller. :)

During lazy days, I prefer using this alone and set it with some powder and there would be no sticky feeling, in fact, I don't feel like I have anything on the face. This product does not break me out too. Anyway, if you are wondering, a half pea-sized amount is already enough for my face and neck. Yes, very economical for that matter. Also, I noticed that it does not create white cast on the skin despite its high level of sun protection.

Overall, I was impressed with the first ever DD Cream I tried in the market. Aside from being made with only safe ingredients, it is also effective and affordable. I would love to repurchase but maybe not now because I am always looking for new products to try (and I'm broke lol). There you have it! Until my next post! Happy blogging!

Eco Skin Love Lip and Cheek Tint in Baby Doll (Pink) Review

Lip and Cheek Tint in Baby Doll 10ml
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P110

Claims: This lip tint has an improved formula that is longer-lasting, has a sweet scent like candy, non-drying, composed of food-grade colorants, does not darken lips, made from natural ingredients, does not clog pores and is affordable.

Ingredients: H2O, Fruit Pigment, Fruit Extracts, Flavoring

This lip and cheek tint comes in a roll-on type of packaging which makes application so easy. However, it sometimes tend to lick on the outer corner of the roll-on so be careful. I seriously fell in love with the packaging. Well, who would not? It looks so posh in a heavy glass container with a golden twist-able cover and a cute-looking sticker covering its body which also has the ingredient list and direction for use.

The picture below shows the product when swatched (left side) and when wiped out with tissue paper and some water (right side). Its claim to be long-lasting is true as it takes extra hard work to remove the lip stain on my skin. Also, be careful not to swipe too much as a little goes a long way and too much would make your lips looking bright pink.

To be honest, I am not really a fan of pink tints, usually, I love to hoard red to bloody red shades because they look more natural on me. Nonetheless, I am loving it because of its sweet scent which makes it hard for me not to try to lick my lips. Unfortunately, it taste a little between bitter and nothing. Just like other tints, this still dries my lips which, by the way, are so sensitive with lip products. Still, longevity wise, this is a winner.

This tint has a runny formula and dries easily so you better blend it immediately using your fingers before you get an uneven finish. This does not feel sticky too unlike other tints that I have tried in my life. Also, expect that this is transfer-proof so you need not to worry direct contact with things.

Overall, I love Eco Skin Love Lip and Cheek Tint in Baby Doll (Pink)! This is so affordable at only P110 for a 10ml roll-on. It's long-lasting and travel-friendly so you can depend on it for activity-filled day to look fresher. Again, the only problem I have with this is my shade preference. I prefer red more than pink but if you love the latter more than the former, then, I highly recommend this tint to you! Not a single regret!

Until my next post! Happy blogging!

Eco Skin Love Pomegranate Fair Bar

Eco Skin Love Pomegranate Fair Bar
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P270

Last month (I think), I came home to a package with organic products that were looking really good. I tried most of the items immediately out of curiosity and I loved every piece to bits.
It was an opportunity to be an organic user of Eco Skin Love and I am a living testimony of how its products boost my confidence over time. This sounds like an exaggeration but I am really happy to be part of the ESL Family. The effectiveness of the products and their affordability made me a lot prouder being one.

For today, what I am going to review is their Pomegranate Fair Bar.

As you can see, the bar has a very simple packaging. What makes it stands out is the transparency of the product and its complete labeling. It has a description box, ingredients, etc. I guess it really does contribute eventually to gains of loyal users when you crafted your pieces with love and genuineness.

Claims/Benefits/Ingredients:

The bar has a deep hue of violet with traces of orange, red, etc. Was it the combination of all actives presented in the soap? Hmm...could be. Anyway, you probably don't see it but it has poppy seeds that is soooo good in exfoliating the skin when bathing. I love that they are fine and abrasive enough to scrub away dead skin cells. Turns out I need not anymore body scrub unless I get my skin super dry.

The scent of the product has a combination of citrus and sweetness which I like.
The bar suds well enough to clean my face. It effectively removes dirt and oil on pores, leaving it softer, smoother, clearer and more radiant. However, it could be a little drying on the skin so moisturizer is a must.

After finishing the whole bar, I noticed that in retrospect, I rarely had breakouts on my skin. My face became noticeably fairer and the traces of uneven skin tone reduced significantly.

Overall, I love Eco Skin Love Pomegranate Fair Bar. It is quite pricey for a 135 grams of bar but you will surely get your penny's worth. With that, I would like to constantly remind you, guys, that we all have different skin type. What works for me may not work for you or it is the other way around.

Moreover, I would say that it would not suit dry skim because the whitening agents in the PFB will suck out skin moisture which might cause you more dryness. On a lighter note, I find this soap gentle to the skin (no sting effect or whatsoever) so sensitive skin could also devour on it.

Below is the video of my sort of 'unwrapping' the product.

What I like:

-Cleanses well
-Sweet and Citrusy scent
-Has ingredient list
-Has descriptions
-Made up of organic and natural products
-Has poppy seeds for gentle exfoliation
-Makes skin bright and glowing
-Reduces dirt and oil effectively
-Prevents pimples/acne
-No sting feeling
-Gentle on skin

What I don't like:

-A bit drying

Eco Skin Love Miracle Cream

Finally, it had rained here on our place! Still, the weather gets humid and hot--makes me wanna go bare on beaches except that would look really disgusting. If you know what I mean. But of course, with this slightly annoying weather, we become less and less adamant about putting on moisturizers because they tend to trap more heat on our skin. But even though we're a bit resentful about the idea, using moisturizers whether it be in cream form is necessary or suffer premature ageing. Uh-uh. I know you abhor the latter. So today, I am going to share with you guys the moisturizer that I have been using this summer! It's really moisturizing and it's got SPF!

Eco Skin Love Miracle Cream, 50grams
Price: Free/Original Price: P280

Claims: Anti-Melasma, Prevents puffy eyes and saggy skin, Fades fine lines and wrinkles, Treats dull, rough and dry skin, Whitens skin, Protects the skin from harmful UV rays and free radicals, Mild Rose scent

Before I proceed with the review proper, let me thank Eco Skin Love for sending this cream to me along with other healthy skin treats! The people behind are so generous, really. In fact, one of the generous, dedicated, passionate and truly environmental advocate sellers that I know of.

All the products inside the parcel wowed me as they all look promising! But let me just share to you only one for now: Eco Skin Love Miracle Cream SPF60!

The cream is packed in a cute plastic tub with complete labeling--description, benefits, directions, ingredients and proof of authenticity. But wait, it lacks the expiration date! Sad. But I still appreciate the overall packaging. Anyway, I know I should never care about it as I would probably consume everything months before it even expires.

The cream has a thick consistency like paste and smells like one too but with a hint of rose.  And because I am not that picky when it comes to scents of products, I find it not too bothersome at all.

The cream is kinda hard to blend given the viscosity and dries to a sticky matte feel. The stickiness would eventually fade after minutes so still this product is okay for me. I like that it does not trigger oiliness nor leaves my face looking dewy because believe me, dewiness does not blend well with my super oily face. Sad. I wonder how it looks good with Korean skin.

Anyway, I like how the cream gives a brighter look on my face while providing a good canvas for foundations/bb creams. Yes! Seriously, I do use this as a makeup base too to save on moisturizer-primer-bb cream/foundation kind of day. And surprisingly this cream really works! It prevents early makeup meltdown without imparting some white cast on the face even with the high SPF content!

And yeah, you read it right, it has a pretty much decent amount of SPF that you can just ditch your facial sunblock, etc, because of the whooping SPF60! It is actually my first time to encounter an organically and naturally made cream with SPF60 so I really felt protected by it, especially now when sun's rays are so strong. Also, even though it has SPF, it did not broke me out.

What's more is that the product itself is super affordable! A pea-size amount is enough for the whole face and neck so a 50-gram tub would last you for months! If you are very practical, then go buy one and you wouldn't regret a single thing about this.

First Impression: Eco Skin Love + Products

Lip and Cheek Tint | 10ml | P110
Eco Mineral DD Cream | 30g | P270
Eco Miracle Cream | 50g | P280
Pomegranate Fair Bar | P270
Tomato Milk Bar | 135g | P200

First and foremost, thank you so much Ms. Gee of Eco Skin Love for sending these healthy skin treats over! Feeling so lucky to have received these! Kakilig talaga, as in! One of the most generous sellers I know, indeed. Love love! :)

Anyway, onto the first impression proper. Lol.

When I received the parcel, I was like "Woah! More organic and natural products to road test!". My eyes easily dropped on the soaps because I so love soaps! Then onto the high-end looking roll-on lip tint, cream and finally the DD Cream! I never thought DD Creams even exist until Ms. Gee sent me one! Gah, I feel like a late bloomer. Lol.

1. Lip and Cheek Tint | 10ml | P110

This comes in a roll-on type packaging for easy application. It looks posh and cute. In fact, it does not look anything worth P110. The amount of the product inside the container is of generous amount and on first use, I must say that this lip tint is such a keeper. The color payoff was good, perfect for those who loves bright pink lips! If, however, you aim for a darker shade, like red, you can avail the other variant. Longevity wise, this is such a winner!

2. Eco Mineral DD Cream | 30g | P270

As I have said, I never knew that DD Creams exist until Ms. Gee sent me one. So I get curious like a cat, tried it immediately on my skin and I was really glad that it dries to a semi-matte finish. You know, I hate those foundations/creams that leaves a dewy finish because they just trigger severe oil production (in my personal experience). I can say that this product is very light on the skin. Actually it's like a tinted moisturizer for me but does not do much to cover imperfections which is but fine as I could easily layer up foundation on top.

3. Eco Miracle Cream | 50g | P280

This tub has a generous amount of cream inside so there is no doubt that it would last me months to consume everything. For only P280, you get an SPF60-filled tub--perfect for summer! That's quite a protection, don't you think?

I am currently using this cream along with the DD Cream and other products included in my skin care routine (I'll be posting it here on my blog too) and I'm loving the effects! Imagine, no major breakouts on my period? That's a cut above my expectation!

4. Pomegranate Fair Bar | P270

For its retail price, I am actually expecting something great. Being satisfied with the above products of Eco Skin Love, I am not skeptical on using this soap on my skin! As a matter of fact, this one is next in line to my current soap! Can't wait to try this out as it would be my first time using a soap with pomegranate extract!

5. Tomato Milk Bar | 135g | P200

Hearing tomato-infused bars made me think of the organic soap that I purchased years ago with tomato extract. It was a pleasant experience for me because I once said hello to bright, slightly flushed skin with astounding hydrating properties. I'm really looking forward to experiencing the same thing with the Tomato Milk Bar!

I'll be posting individual reviews for each soon. For more information, visit Eco Skin Love on Instagram! Happy blogging!
