Avon Naturals Body Care Lightening Papaya and Soy Milk Hand and Body Lotion Review

Avon Naturals Body Care Lightening Papaya and Soy Milk Lotion
Bought for: P450/750 ml
Bought from: Zalora Philippines

Despite the hot and humid weather we have in the Philippines, I still make sure to slather moisturizer because it gets super dry after cleansing. I find the crinkled skin and taut feeling very disturbing which is why a hand and body lotion is something I could never ran out of. Last month, I got myself this lotion from Avon. I couldn't think of anything to buy from Zalora with the rebate coupon I had so I decided to buy this instead.

CLAIMS

New and improved Naturals Papaya now whitens in 7 days. It provides 30-hour moisturization and leaves skin deliciously soft and smooth. Get that healthy glow from Avon. This has papain extract that helps whiten skin for that healthy glow.

PACKAGING

It comes in a typical pump bottle and a very simple design. You have to twist the pump open on first use. Pump works and I have no issues dispensing the product at all. I also appreciate the fact that it is loaded with information such as claims, ingredients,  directions for use, and even manufacturing and expiry dates.

SCENT, CONSISTENCY AND EASE OF APPLICATION

The scent is very nice, sweet and has a citrus note. Okay, please don't judge me when I'm bad at describing scents. For me, it really is nice and not too strong. I don't think you'd find it off-putting either. It has a very light consistency and dries quickly. I've read that others find it a little greasy on the skin especially during hot days but I don't think that's true. The claim of 30-hours moisturization is a little exaggerated. I don't think it even moisturizes enough because my skin still feels dry that I always had to re-apply. It's not to the point that it's 'flaky' dry but I still would want something more moisturizing and thicker. It's very lightweight on the skin as if you didn't apply anything which could be okay especially to someone who has normal skin type. I think it all boils down to one's preference.

PERFORMANCE

It's an okay product to use on a daily basis. I mean it's comfortable to wear, doesn't turn greasy at the end of the day but you know by now that I prefer something thicker. If you are someone who's always outdoor, I would suggest you picking a body lotion that has high amount of SPF rather than this. This won't protect you from the harmful UV rays. It's probably great to use in the office or during night time to help your skin recuperate from stress because of its brightening effect. I like that it keeps my skin healthy and smooth and helps maintain my skin's natural color.

There are things I like and dislike about Avon Naturals Body Care Lightening Papaya and Soy Milk Hand and Body Lotion but I don't think I would repurchase anytime soon as I plan on buying lotions I haven't tried before. I also tend to look on the price tag when buying something and I know I've tried other body lotions that are far better and are more affordable.

Avon Feeling Fresh Whitening Underarm Antiperspirant Deodorant Cream in Quelch Spring Blossom

Here's a quick review on Avon Feeling Fresh Whitening Underarm Deodorant Cream in Quelch Spring Blossom. I have consumed one of this already before, this is my second tube actually, because my mom and I loved it!

Avon Feeling Fresh Whitening Underarm Deodorant Cream in Quelch Spring Blossom, 60g
Bought for: P145
Bought from: Avon

I actually refrain to pay much attention to whitening deodorants as nothing ever really lightened my pits (not when if it's used with whitening creams and solutions). And as long they don't cause any more uneven skin tone or darkness, then that is when I become fine on using them. And since this cream claims to whiten underarms, I'm just confident that it would turn to be an okay product for me.

I actually like that it comes in a tube type packaging. It's more travel-friendly this way unlike with the bulky roll-on types. Plus, this serves better in sanitation purposes. I mean, since both my mom and I use this, then we could share this tube together acceptably because there is no physical contact involved unlike with roll-ons, right?

I love that it is free of parabens (those icky chemicals which can cause cancer?).

The formula isn't that thick nor runny,  just perfect for everyday underarm use. With this product, you won't get any heavy, warm or sticky feeling because it is so lightweight when applied. It also dries easily leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth and mildly scented. Actually, the scent of this product is sooooo nice (like fresh flowers)! Tell you what, I love this because it's the best-smelling deodorant cream that I have ever used so far! I'm not really particular with how much fragrance there is on product or if it smells awful but I just can't ignore the fact that Avon Feeling Fresh Whitening Underarm Antiperspirant Deodorant Cream in Quelch Spring Blossom smells oh-so-good!

This product protects me from odor all day but not from sweat even with only a small amount of  product dispensed. I mean, I still perspire on my underarms even with the use of this. Still, our odor concern has been addressed well, right? And it's a natural process of the body, therefore, we can't really hinder perspiration. Even the best-smelling person in the world sweats hard huh. This product is also gentle on skin, I did not feel any itchiness or get irritation in my whole period of using it.

After finishing two tubes, say it's just one since my mom and I were sharing, I did not notice any lightening effects on my underarms but I don't care, I'd still prefer this one over other drugstore deodorants/antiperspirant since it did not cause me skin darkening in the first place.

I don't know if it's just in my case, but this cream does leave yellow stains on white clothing, particularly on my camisoles. That's the only trouble I have for this product though.

What I like:

-Smells really nice
-Travel-friendly packaging
-Convenient to use
-Prevents foul odor
-Makes you smell fresh all day
-Non-darkening
-Smoothens and softens underarms
-Affordable
-A little goes a long way
-Dries fast
-Non-sticky

What I don't like:
-Leaves yellow stains
-Does not work well in lightening underarms
-Available only through dealers

Overall, I love it! Pros weighed cons so...I'd definitely have my third tube some other time! Did you find this product worth purchasing? Share your thoughts below! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna

My Top 8 Product Picks for January

The reason for this blog post is to share with you, guys, my favorite products for January! Products featured here were either bought from online or offline shops, just some random purchases for daily needs.

I know that if you are a makeup or skin care junkie (like me), you have these personal picks of the month that stand out among the products in your stash and you feel like you have to gush about it and tell everyone why they are worth the rave. So what's mine? Here they are!

Avon Sheer Passion Very Captivating Fragrance Mist, Avon, P399
This is probably the best-smelling fragrance mist that I have ever had in my life. This actually belongs to my mom but when I told her I'm obsessed about it, she eventually gave the bottle up to me. Hoho!

Vaseline Lotion Healthy Even Tone, SM Department Store, around P150-P200
What I like about this bottle is that it's full of moisturizing properties with triple sunscreen. It does not feel heavy or greasy too when applied so it's perfect even during hot and humid season where your skin needs moisture and sun protection the most.

Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat, Mercury Drug Store, P87
The best thing about this is that after washing my hair, I need not to use conditioner nor leave-on and just go straight to it. It's everything my dry hair needs right now. For full review, read here.

Sooper Beaute Underarm Brightener Anti-Perspirant Spray, Sooper Beaute, P250
I'm currently in my second spray bottle just because. It prevents underarm darkening, chicken skin, and odor. Two-three spritz per underarm is enough to make you feel fresh all day! It feels like you are putting water on your underarms so it dries fast enough. For more information, you can read my review here.

Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Two-Way Cake, Beautymnl, P350 (on sale)
I love how it keeps my makeup fresh for hours. It mattifies my skin without making my foundation/bb cream cake unlike other powders in a compact do. It feels very lightweight too and can be use even on it's own. You can read my full review here.

Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara, Beautymnl, P150
Its longevity power add up to its uber affordable price are the reason why it made me loyal to this mascara ever. Imagine, I washed my face at least twice and there were still mascara residue left. The only downside might be is that using of makeup remover is a must.

Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm, Beautymnl, P129
For only a hundred and twenty-nine bucks, this is a total knockout! I use it day and night to keep my lips from drying. Its lingering scent makes me want to lick it too! View my full review here.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation, Maybelline counters, P250 (on sale)
This is the best foundation I have ever used, by far. It's very lightweight and could offer light to medium coverage. It does not make my oily face look like an oil slick and does its job to cover minor blemishes, uneven skin tone, redness and mild scarring, I use it everyday and it's perfect for the weather we have here in the Philippines. Full review is up here.

So those are my top personal faves for this month! Let's see if they maintain their ranks next month!

Love,
Hanna
