Top 10 K-Beauty Products You Should Get From Althea Korea

I have known and been shopping in Althea Korea since 2016 (from their launching date in the Philippines) and I couldn't believe it's been almost three years already. I've tried and been introduced to so many k-beauty stuff and that means a great deal for someone who loves to speak beauty. I couldn't thank my Althea family enough for helping me grow as a beauty and skincare enthusiast and for the trust they've given me all these years. If you happen to be reading this, I'm sure we're on the same track. I hope I could share and enlighten you what products are worth getting as a treat for yourself this Christmas. I've thought so hard to put up 10 products I honestly swear by (in no particular order) and without further ado, let's dive right onto it!

1. LANEIGE SPECIAL CARE WATER SLEEPING MASK

This is, by far, is the best sleeping mask I have ever tried and I highly recommend it to everyone. It's so lightweight yet very hydrating and it helps reduce acne scars and blemishes with regular use. My skin has never looked so supple before. Click HERE for the full review.

2. ALTHEA REAL FRESH SKIN DETOXER SET

These masks are everything in a skincare. On lazy days, I use either one to cleanse my skin, treat, prime and moisturize and then layer on with a lightweight moisturizer. Who says you can't do an entire routine in just 10 seconds? I've written down my thoughts about these HERE.

3. INNISFREE JEJU VOLCANIC PORE SCRUB FOAM

I love almost all products that are part of  Jeju Volcanic line and one in particular is this scrub foam. It saves me the hassle of having to use a separate foaming cleanser and a scrub. This cleanser is non-abrasive and I like how it cleanses thoroughly while getting rid of dead skin cells and hanging skin.

4. PRETTI HONEY & BERRY LIP SLEEPING MASK

If you are looking for a cheap but effective lip sleeping mask, you have to try this from Pretti! The formula is super rich and moisturizing that it adheres to the skin well, repairs your puckers overnight and keeps it hydrated all throughout the day. You may click HERE for the full review.

5. INNISFREE SUPER VOLCANIC PORE CLAY MASK

This mask from Innisfree does a pretty good job in controlling oil production and flattening of existing breakouts. It could be a bit drying as it absorbs excess oil from deep down but it's nothing  good moisturizer can't solve. This is one of the clay masks I've tried that does not clog the pores. 6. PERIPERA INK THE AIRY VELVET

I couldn't stress out how in loved I am with Peripera's tints. These have the formulation I'm looking for--velvety, pigmented and non-drying. They smell so delish too! Click HERE for the full review.

7. INNISFREE NO SEBUM MINERAL PACT

This is a very basic makeup essential you have to keep with you at all times. It effectively mattifies the skin instantly while blotting away excess oil from the surface. I haven't blogged about this yet because I accidentally dropped it one time and the powder just went all over the floor. I plan to repurchase in my next Althea visit though. The finish is very similar to INNISFREE NO SEBUM MINERAL POWDER which is loose in texture and is also a favorite of mine.

8. MISSHA PERFECT COVER BB CREAM

I understand why a lot of skincare and makeup junkies are impressed with this BB Cream. Though the shade selection is a bit meh, it applies and blends evenly and seems to melt on the skin giving you a dewy, healthy glow. It has a sheer coverage but your skin will look so much better when you have this on. Indeed the best BB Cream I've tried goes to Missha. Full review can be viewed HERE.

9. ALTHEA KOREA PETAL VELVET POWDER

I haven't blogged about this yet but so far, these powders are awesome! They come in travel-friendly jars that I can use and bring conveniently wherever I go. It originally comes in two shades: Beige and Translucent. Both are useful in whatever makeup you are sporting for the day. Try the beige one for a little bit extra coverage and Translucent for that mattified skin and makeup that stays in place!

10. CORINGCO MARINE BLUE MAKEUP BRUSH SET

I haven't tried this brush set yet but being the makeup brush junkie I'll always be, it's impossible for me not to take interest in trying out these mini brushes from Coringco. I've read reviews about these and there are plenty of positives. I've been planning to get this for the longest time and maybe I'll make my dream come true the next time I'll do a round of shopping in Althea. This is already in my wish list and cart, all I need is to check out!

That's pretty much everything I'd like you to know and consider if you are planning to do a shopping in ALTHEA KOREA. I know that there's a high possibility that you can find or know something better than what's on my list but I'm confident in writing this blog because these products just work wonders for me. There's too much to discover in Althea and I can't wait to add more products to my holy grails!

Most-Raved High-End Makeup and Tools That Made It To My 2018 Wishlist

In this post, I will be sharing with you what are the stuff I got on the lookout for this year. These are all high-end products (and which means prices are way beyond my budget but who cares lol) that I plan on saving up for. Sorry about the title though--it must have caused you confusion. So what's in each of these that made me root for them this year? Well, aside from all the remarkable feed backs about them that we've all been bombarded the previous years, claims are quite promising that I don't want to miss them for the world.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

This just sets everything in place without adding weight or texture so makeup won't look cakey. The fine pigments give a soft blur effect as well that gently hides imperfections.

Marc Jacobs Full Cover Re(marc)able Foundation

Need I say how remarc-able the coverage of this foundation is without the heavy feeling? Im in shade Bisque Light, by the way!

Benefit Porefessional Face Primer

The all-time favorite primer from Benefit that prolong makeup and blurs pores effortlessly! I'm yet to try the new Pearl Primer too!

Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation

I already have this foundation in my previous Sephora haul, unfortunately, I got the wrong shade. I think the most suitable shade is in Light 43 Warm since Light 45 Warm is too peachy for me.

Nars Orgasm Blush

Just the perfect long-lasting blush that complements every skin tone, no wonder it's the #1 blush in U.S.!

Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation

This is also one of the products that offer good coverage and is long-wearing. I think I'm in the shade 4.0.

Sigmax Kabuki Kit

Sigma brushes has all the right tools to makeup perfection and believe me I'll hoard if ever, just if ever, they go on sale!

Conair Infiniti Pro 1875 Watt Salon Performance Dryer

I have cut my hair short so keeping it flyaway-free is actually a challenge for me. Having a good, affordable hair dryer that doesn't damage the hair is very much welcome.

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer

I have a travel-size bottle of this primer and I'm loving it because it keeps oil at bay and make my base makeups last  longer than usual!

My Christmas Wishlist

Time flies so swiftly! Can' believe it's already December and that means...wish list! I'm too old for godmothers and godfathers to send me something this Christmas (and I am not expecting anything either lol) but I feel like sharing with you, guys, what I'm planning to give myself this Christmas. My wishlist requires me a lot of money so I'm pretty sure I can't afford all of them but they are still something that could motivate me a bit and make me look forward to working hard lol. and because I'm starting to be more practical, I told myself to only get stuff that will be useful for me and here they are!

August Wishlist

What's really magical about listing down all your wishes is that you'll get to be more motivated and determined to work harder to save for things you like to own. When you are too lazy and almost to the point of giving up, wishlist came to mind and you find yourself putting so much effort on what you are doing. There's nothing wrong about spoiling yourself after a good hard work every now and then as long as you don't depend on anyone. Sabi nga nila, "Kapag may tiyaga, may nilaga". HIGH WAIST DENIMS

Well...it's just that I've got tons of jeans but none of those are high waist that I consider snug-fitting. I know there are so many high waist jeans available online and in malls but I can't find something which fits 24 waist line. So I feel like my old Oppo Neo 5 which I have for years now is finally retiring, which is why. Yes, I have an old phone which I treasure and cherish so much because I do a lot of things on it--sometimes, I think my life is in there. I'm not really into gadgets, so maybe a newer Opp phone will do, not necessarily an Oppo Mirror 5.

December Wishlist: Random Stuff

Wohohoho! Christmas is really in the air, don’t you think? I have been meaning to post my December wish list as early as January (lol) but I know I have to wait eleven more months for the time when gift-giving are the grandest (lol again). Kidding. But seriously, I can’t really ask for more because I have more than enough. I have a healthy family, friends, I even had the best bf. I have been receiving countless blessings since day one. It’s like when you have Him in your heart, you can’t be so short in anything. But of course, I had to feed my ‘kakikayan’, if that’s a word, and I’m in need of some stuff right now where it concerns my business, my passion and my study. To name them, persevere reading this post until the end!

1. Tripod

I badly need a tripod right now mostly to use for our film production, thesis and who knows what other subjects may require the use of it.

2. External Hard drive

I have been loaded with movies in my old laptop which I happen to plan on transferring on my new one. However, I don’t like to consume all storage space with only movies so, yeah, that leads me to be in dire need of a hard drive to store films and other important files.

3. Midriff Camisoles/Tubes

I’m currently on the lookout for affordable but good quality midriff camis right now, particularly in shades black, white and nude or taupe, to wear under shirts especially I mostly have see-through, laces and white clothes.

4. Denim Pants and Shorts

If everyone’s growing larger in size, I’m here shrinking! Hey! This is why I’m in need of more denim pants and shorts in sizes XS or 23-24.

5. Makeup Brushes

I have always dreamed of having my own set of Luxxe, Zoeva, Sigma, Morphe or MAC makeup brushes but I can’t still afford them. Wait til I earn for myself. I’m catching ya’all!

6. Victoria’s Secret Perfumes

I always love their Amber Romance and I’ve tried a few other scents but I also want to try other variants. After I ran out of my Amber Romance, I would look for the Passion something variant.

7. EOS Lipbalm

I have been once disappointed with my recent purchase of EOS lip balms online. When they got on sale, I got so ecstatic and purchased two: Lemon and Summer Fruit. Only when I received them did I found out they were fake!

Aside from all these, of course I would love to receive makeups and skin care products too! Of course, they are always and forever. By the way, I know you’ve got a few stuff on your mind as well! Dear Althea, All I Want For Christmas Is...

I believe it is not too late to be back to being childish when Santa on Christmas was something I find real. Well, not that I think believing him now is preposterous, rather I believe that he could be just anyone else without the beard and the red suit, you know what I mean? Sometimes, he could be with pixies, fairies and reindeers too! Or maybe he’s just there in the form of Althea gifting us with unbelievable deals of K-beauty stuff. Actually, before I spotted their on-going giveaway for bloggers and youtubers like me, I already had in mind the products I should get when I accumulate enough money for another K-beauty haul in Althea. In fact, I only had to peek through my cart for the stuff I’m putting in this wish list post. To give you an idea, they are mostly skin care products which I plan on using for my face with the aim to clear out zits that have been pestering me for the past few months.

You know, in less than four months, I am about to march at the PICC, wearing my toga with a cute outfit on and now I’m thinking that graduation does not really go well with a face covered with terrible cases of redness and uneven skin tone, much less acne and pimple breakouts. Who does want to look ugly on a special day? Uh-uh, not me. So in search and in a strong will of finding effective products (from a trusted Korean brand, Laneige) which might help me out with this problems, there came my Althea Wish List.

Laneige Multi Cleanser – P890

I used to fight my face filled with zits guerilla-style, trying out different products from different brands which might not good to be used in conjunction with the others. Now, I’m thinking the gentler, the better. One brand is more than enough.

Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner Light – P1100

Nowadays, I am becoming an avid user of toners especially those that provide an “extra” cleaning on the skin, knowing Laneige, I know it will do more than the cleaning but securing a healthy skin too that's properly hydrated and cleared.

Laneige Water Bank Essence - P1540

I have never tried an essence before and having heard it’s an essential to Korean skin care, I might want to include one on mine, right?

Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion – P1100

I have no idea what an emulsion is until I get introduced to Althea. No, seriously, I thought emulsions are sounded like for-food use but Althea taught me it is a skin’s must-have.

Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel - P1200

I always neglect my eye area during my skin care routine and now at 20, I could already see lines on my bags which are mostly emphasized every time I laugh. Should I be threatened already?

Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream - P

I heard this gel cream is non-sticky and is light-wearing which I badly need for my skin that is super oily. I think I do not need more of those heavy moisturizing creams which just trigger the severity of my oil production, hence, breakouts.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask – P980

I always dreamed of waking up one day with that fresh and bright-looking skin while proudly exclaiming, “I wake up like this,” you know. Ugh, I wonder what Koreans do to make their skin that flawless. Huhu. Please let it be the answer!

Elizavecca Skin Liar Primer – P280

I have been forever hearing raves about how excellent this primer is. I have always wanted to try this one for myself so I included it on my wish list, the only product that is not from Laneige line.

I know these might be a lot but if I chanced upon winning even only a few, it would already be a big saving for me, yeah? I think you know by now how I dreamed of having a box filled with Laneige products? Right now, I am still in the lookout for other Korean beauty products and makeups that can be purchased in Althea for the most affordable prices. But you can’t blame me, of course, I know you love Althea too! We can’t get over with all the k-beauty stuff, they are just so hard to resist, don’t they?

Why I Want An OPPO F1s

On my nineteenth birthday, I was very lucky when my mom gifted me an OPPO Neo 5. It wasn't even the latest model because that was what they can only afford then given that my enrollment is soon too happen, but I was sure as hell that my first OPPO phone is something I would not try leaving at home. I loved it for thousand things, one is because I look really photogenic and flawless on selfies, it's thin, it's got a protective cover which I did not really remove because there's no need to, it does not lag, etc. In fact, everyone who are close to me know that my OPPO phone becomes my life. Even when I get a new mobile phone, there's no way I'm letting it go.

While I'm not really fond of playing games, therefore, my memory will not be storing any online games ever, this very feature of OPPO F1s--where the 3GB RAM and octa-core 64 bit processor make for smooth multitasking and seamless switching between apps, movies and music--I must admit is really impressive. Though I do not really play games with my mobile phone, I am someone who loves to watch movies, read novels, stream music from my favorite OPM and International singers and even sell items on buy and sell applications! Not only that, I also use my mobile phone to write blog post like this or even my essay homework and I do them almost all at the same time! It's true, I do mostly everything with my phone.

Now my eyes has been focused on the OPPO F1s, I would really be looking forward to level up my mobile experience by using a gadget that would allow me to smoothly multitask. Honestly, the hassle of exiting one application and switching to the next one is very prevalent on mobile phones and an innovation like this with a high-speed memory and fast processor would do great to a person who wants to save time like me. Truth be told, I am not really a very technological kind of person, I am not really familiar with technological terms, but for someone who always does multitasking, I believe OPPO F1s is a good investment to begin with given this feature.

OPPO has been known to provide clear and flawless photographs, it's quick touch feature, its slim, sleek and wide screen design, etc. But more than anything, I want an OPPO F1s to make my life simple, hassle-free and better than ever.

October Wishlist

It's been months since I posted a wish list on my blog. I guess the last time was in May? Anyway, it's my birth month so allow me to share them to you lol for the sake of me not forgetting which ones to buy the next time I go shopping. This would also help me reduce my being an impulsive buyer. Okay, let's start! :P

1. Clinique 3-Step Introduction Kit Skin Type 4 For Oily Skin (photo from clinique.com.uk)

This set includes a Liquid Facial Soap, Clarifying Lotion, and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. This is what I have been saving up for the past weeks now although it has been semestral break. I've been meaning to get the one from Clinique, the Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, but it's too pricey so any face brush, whether it is automatic or it requires manual effort, would do.

I would be willing to accept donations of any denim clothing--pants, highwaist, dungarees, jackets, polos, tops, dresses--as long as it's on size XS-S, 24-25, or US 2-6 lol. No idea but I gotta collect pieces of this garment so please haha.
