Skin Care Organic Cocoon Soap Review

Skin Care Organic Cocoon Soap
Bought for: Free | Price: P180
From: Skin Care Organic

First, let me thank my Skin Care Organic Family for sending this soap over along with some skin goodies. I actually have five more soaps to review soon but for today, let me share to you my thoughts about Skin Care Organic Cocoon Soap. I know you are surprised to hear that the organic world is now infusing cocoon silk to skin care products. It is not my first time encountering an extraordinarily weird yet beneficial product--the first one is the Bee Venom. But..really, cocoon? I, myself, hardly believe it until SCO sent me one. And they are really cocoon shells! Amazeballs!

By the way, for your information, cocoon silks are known to greatly exfoliate skin, making it soft and smooth. It also stimulates skin for improved collagen production and helps wipe away wrinkles.

Claims: For acne prone skin, made with tea tree extract to fight pimple-causing bacteria and silk cocoo for mild exfoliation. Silk cocoon imparts sericin to the skin, a protein made by silk worms. It also promotes collagen production for smoother, youthful skin. A beauty and anti-acne soap in one. 100% natural soap and is handmade with love.

Ingredients: Glycerin, Organic Oils, Tea Tree Extract, Real Cocoon Silk

The first time I saw this soap, I can't get myself to use this. I mean it is just too cute to ruin. Whatcha think? I was first confused with those hollowed-out shells inside the hardened soap then I realized they are real cocoons. I actually thought they were just extracts, but we were provided with real ones so the benefits that you will get are not synthetic. I tried cutting this soap into sections, but mind you, do not try, as they are pretty hard to break. However, when you let the water sip through, you will eventually find out that it can soften as well and that's what makes it a good exfoliator especially on more sensitive parts of the face area. Obviously, there are hardened soap stuck inside the cocoons so you might want to cut the softened shells to emit the soap which you an still use.

This soap has an almost strong scent, probably because of Tea Tree Extract which is good for acne/pimple-prone skin. Luckily, this soap does not melt easily on soap dishes. It suds gently too and is non-drying. If I am not mistaken, this is the first soap nfor acne-prone skin which is not at all drying. In fact, it is so hydrating--thanks to Glycerin!

Using this soap for a period of one month, I would say that it does not really control breakouts. In fact, on my first week of use, I developed tiny bumps on the face. I hinted it was because of the Tea Tree Extract which always fails to work for my pimple-prone skin. On a lighter note, this works well for my body as it immediately gives a soft, smooth, clean and hydrated layer! Now, if your skin reacts well to Tea Tree Extract, you might want to give this a try!

'Til my next post! Happy blogging!

Skin Care Organic Lip Scrubs in Loco Coco and Rawberry Review

Skin Care Organic Lip Scrubs in Loco Coco and Rawberry, 10g/ea
Bought for: Free | Original Price: P180 for 2

Claims: Rescue those dry, rough and dark lips of yours. Using our Kiss Me Lip Scrub will scrub all the toxins clean, only to reveal softer and healthier lips underneath. Goodbye rough, dry, and dark lips and hello to kissable lips! All organic and natural. No harmful chemicals. Non-paraben. Safe and effective skin care. Proudly Philippine Made.

Active Ingredients: Strawberry Extract, Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Raw Sugar, Blueberry Extract, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Grape Seed Oil.

Directions for use: Apply onto lips, especially arounf tough and dark areas. Leave on for a few minutes and wipe using a cloth, tissue or simply lick it clean. 100% edible!

Our lips, just like our body, needs some serious scrubbing too to get rid of dead skin cells. Scrubbing the lips properly and gently will help improve the appearance of chappy, dry and dark lips eventually. So it's best to invest in lip scrubs that are only made with natural and organic-derived ingredients especially if they are edible and can be taken by the body. Well, I haven't yet encountered lip scrubs that are not a hundred percent edible.

While it's super easy to create your own lip scrub at home with lying-on-the-kitchen ingredients such as sugar and oil, it feels more luxurious to be pampered with readily-made skin care treats that organic shop advocates sell at cheap prices. Skin Care Organic produces their own line of lip scrubs which they sent me recently. It comes in two variants--Loco Coco and Raw Berry.

The product comes in a small plastic jar, transparent enough for you to see how the product looks like inside. I like the sticker layout too and the packaging that's very travel-friendly. It's got 10g of product inside so your P180 for these two lip scrubs is super sulit na (worth it). I imagine that the only difference could be the color (the Loco Coco is sky blue; while the Rawberry is in pale pink). Other than that, formulation and scent are all the same.

The most dominant among the ingredients are the scent of coconut oil, therefore these two smells adorably nutty for me. Just fine. The Raw berry has a faint, barely-there berry scent but it's fine as well.

The formulation is very much different from how I usually formulate my own lip scrub at home, but being a trying hard on chemistry field, I am guilty to admit that SCO Lip Scrubs has a better formulation. HAHA! Of course, they would be. Mine's sticky because of honey and tastes REALLY sweet. But this one has a softer feel on the lips, not irritably abrasive at all with a slightly sweet taste because of the raw sugar.

I like applying this on wet lips, scrubbing away the dead cells (which, by the way, is large in amount because of my super sensitive lips that dries and chaps easily when in contact with strong lipsticks, tint, balms, etc) then patting my lips dry with tissue.

NEVER LICK IT. There's something on our saliva that dries the lips if you happen to notice. So please don't. Just use tissue or cloth to remove un-melted sugar and allow the oil to moisturize your lips. For added moisture, usually I prefer to apply my new fave Etude House Lip Balm on top of my newly-scrubbed lips for a more moisturized layer but I find it not necessary anymore with this lip scrub as it prevents dryness and darkness with continuous use. Yay!

Overall, I like Skin Care Organic Lip in Loco Coco and Rawberry. They are affordable, safe and an effective lip care that treats dark lips which results from constant cosmetic usage. Now I can say hi to smoother, softer and more moisturized kissers all day! Thanks SCO! Happy blogging!

First Impression: Skin Care Organic + Products

It was right on time, and Skin Care Organic (SCO) was releasing new products as part of their skin care collection. It was an opening for me and I was really delighted that Ms. Shai chose me and my social media platforms (and blog) to feature their products on and make reviews. To top that off, they sent me all of their newly-released products for reviews and the quantity was not even a joke. For that, I will always be grateful to my SCO Family for the trust that they have imparted and for being so nice and passionate to other people even when they do not know them personally.

For everyone's information, Skin Care Organic is another booming online shop which generated awareness first on Instagram. They cater mostly to organic-lovers as their products claim to be formulated without parabens, cruelty-free, vegan, safe and organically and naturally-made. To date, you can also find them on Shopee.

'Unboxing' my package was like receiving a Christmas gift for the first time where SCO was my Santa and I am given something that was on my top wishlist. Sparks fly and all I can't think of was having a delectable bath time and essentials. They were a complete bath time buddies with soaps and scrubs, I suddenly wish I could use all of them all at the same time. Keep reading if you wish to see the haul!

Coffee Latte Body Scrub 300g, P350
Strawberry and Cream Body Scrub 400g, P350

The scrubs come in huge plastic bottles that would surely last you a long time. They smell so irresistibly good, you'll be tempted to devour them right there and then. But of course, do not dare. They jut intend to slough off dead skin cells, not satisfy hunger. Lol.

Goat's Milk Oatmeal She Butter Soap 120g, P150
Eucalyptus Peppermint Soap 120g, P150
Fairest of Them All 120g, P150
Green Tea + Tea Tree Soap 120g, P150
Pineapple Lemon Soap 120g, P150

Cocoon Soap 100g, P180

These soaps are super cute! I never seen soap cut wider in length and narrower in width. Usually, it's a balance. But with the growing number of shop competition on IG, packaging becomes part of the criteria. Good thing, I bet SCO competes well in that field.

Rawberry Lip Scrub 10g, P180/2PCS
Loco Coco Lip Scrub 10g, P180/2PCS

To be honest, it's gonna be my first time trying out lip scrubs that is not a DIY project of mine so I'm really looking forward to a road-testing session! They do not just look and smell so inviting but they are 100% edible too!

Ughhh, so stoked to try everything out. Just wait for my review of each product soon and stay tuned! By the way, they have this promo to slash away P20 to ALL items so...you now know what to do huh! Til my next post! Happy blogging!
