A few months ago, Ms. Jyka, the owner of Serafica PH, sent me some goodies together with this Aloe Vera Soothing Gel. This is what I'm currently using right now to soothe all the post scars and scabs that were resulted from recent chickenpox infection I had. I can't really get over the fact that I had to deal with more terrible skin problems now that I'm in my early 20s but I somehow got to do something than nothing at all, right? I researched online what are the best remedies and one of the best solutions is Aloe Vera Extract which reminds me of my very own bottle from Serafica. I stopped using it when I developed the rashes and it's good to be back on the game!

Ingredients

Deionized Water, AloeVera Juice, Glycerin, Collagen, D. Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol

Serafica Aloe Vera Soothing Gel comes in a pump type of packaging, indeed very hygienic. It's the one that goes all the way up so you know when you are almost running out.

This product claims to soothe, prevents aging, moisturizes, treats acne and sunburns and is an anti-inflammatory. We must already have heard from our ancestors what Aloe Vera can do to our skin so this isn't something new to us. If I am going to look at the ingredients closely, it's composed of only a few chemicals compared to other AV gels that has approximately 90-99.9% AV extracts yet with a bunch of chemicals we probably haven't heard of yet. And quite intriguingly, this product has Collagen on it which isn't present on any other AV gels I've known.

Serafica Aloe Vera Soothing Gel comes in the usual gel-type formula that barely smells anything and is more lightweight and  is non-sticky compared to most AV gels I have tried. It could be because this is not a concentrated AV Extract considering it has Glycerin and Collagen on it for added benefits. I prefer this one though rather than purchasing the pure Aloe Vera for the very simple fact that I can get something more from trying it.

What I noticed though is that this burns the eye, so you might want to refrain applying it to areas near it. I love that it is very hydrating without the stickiness and it refreshes my skin. Now that I have been recovering from chickenpox, this has a greater use for me as it eases itchiness and maintains soft and smooth complexion. I will continue using it to alleviate redness and hasten the healing process.

Now, this is a great product that works for me. But here's the catch...it's quite more expensive compared to other AV gels in the market considering it only has 30ml of product inside (other ranges from 100ml to 250ml I think) and I think Serafica PH would hardly beat other competitors because of its price. But what I can tell you is that this isn't just Aloe Vera, it has a couple other ingredients that is known to be beneficial on the skin too.

Here's a brief review on a product sent to me by Ms. Jyka and this is no other than Serafica PH's very own Power White Soap. To be honest, I already seen a lot of this soap in this composition (and tried them as well) which mainly looks like this: blocks of three colors in orange (Kojic), black (Bleaching Soap) and white (Glutathione). Since they are made up of powerful whitening actives, we're all supposed to think that soaps like this could finally work to lighten the skin.

If you are someone who'd like to save up from buying the soaps individually, you could at least settle for soaps like this because it can give you all the benefits of three soaps combined in just one bar. But just how effective this product is? Keep reading for my review!

The soap is neatly secured with plastic and attached to it is the information on how this product is supposed to work on the skin. It lathers well once applied and does not have any strong scent to it which is really perfect for those who are sensitive with products that are heavily-fragranced. I like that this soap cleanses the skin very well and get rid of rough spots for a softer and smoother skin without stripping off its natural moisture, that is, if rinsed immediately. If you let it stay for minutes, it could cause a little bit of itchiness--usual thing that happens when we leave our skin wet for a long time. It might also sting when used on the face so if you have sensitive skin, watch out for any adverse reactions.

I am not really into whitening these days and I don't mind using any bars of soap just as long as I wouldn't receive any breakouts on any parts of my body. This soap does not make my skin a notch lighter in complexion but it keeps my skin glowing and healthy and prevent it from getting darker. If you are to use it though, I advise that you use sunscreen post-application since using whitening products can increase skin's sensitivity to the sun--prolly one of the reason why I'm contemplating in whether or not I push through with using whitening products. Nonetheless, this soap is surprisingly gentle on the skin and with religious use, it can give your skin that radiant white glow you've always wanted.

After trying out Serafica’s body products, I’m slowly working my reviews on each of them while I still have the time. I even dropped my today’s work schedule to catch up with my long queue of to-review products. Not that I want you to thank me lol. I just feel like being so workaholic makes me forget what I really love doing: to write, inspire and share to awesome people whatever I have. So in this post, I am going to tackle about Serafica Strawberry Milkshake Body Scrub which I used in conjunction with my Insta Glam and Insta Glam Plus Soaps and Extreme Whitening Lotion. Check out my previous reviews about them if you still haven’t!

Packaging

Strawberry Milkshake Body Scrub comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a twist cap and is designed with chic and girly patterns and fonts which looks so cute! It even looks and smells yummy with the cotton balls which is part of the overall packaging. The milky strawberry scent is the bomb and I can’t help putting my nose on the crater each time I use it during bath.

One bottle contains 250g of scrub which is sufficient enough for months’ use considering that you only need a meager amount and it’s not as if you use it every single day. Don’t! You’re doing more harm than good on your skin!

Texture and Ease of Application

Just like what I have said, the scrub looks so yummy with the blend of milk and strawberry scrub. You have the option to mix them by shaking the bottle, or leave them as is. When you look closer, it has bits of strawberry seeds and salt which help in scrubbing away rough spots and reveal a smoother complexion. Do take note that salt scrubs are a bit abrasive so make sure to only scrub with light hands to avoid scratching the skin.

This scrub is easy to apply. I just lather the Insta Glam and Insta Glam Plus Soap and grab a handful amount of this scrub and massage it all over in gentle, circular motion. Once all the salt has melted, that signals that I have to rinse everything and my skin felt super soft and smooth afterwards with the lingering scent of milk and strawberry.

Performance

I really like Serafica Strawberry Milk Shake Body Scrub because it exfoliates my skin and makes it soft and smooth. It is also hydrating with its milk content and somewhat gives skin a healthy glow. It just does its job pretty well, that's it. I can say that this scrub suits whatever skin type you have as it does not irritate the skin. Although, salt scrubs are not really for the face as it could sting, especially if you are someone like me who have lots of breakouts. So be careful on that matter.

If you are looking for affordable body scrubs that will last you months, I highly suggest you try this one from Serafica. It's worth it!

Serafica PH Insta Glam and Insta Glam Plus Soaps Review

Here's a brief review on the two best-selling bars of Serafica PH which I have used (and consumed) for a month's period. For better results, I did try these soaps using Serafica body products such as the Extreme Whitening Lotion and Strawberry Milkshake Body Scrub which are all intended for lightening the skin tone.

Both soaps are actually smaller in size than regular soaps in which they are cut in square cubes instead of the rectangular ones. The colors are very opaque (white and yellow) and the packaging is very simple yet the overall design including fonts is somewhat attractive. I don't have any idea where all these thoughts came from but all these properties made them look so promising, at least to me.

In terms of scent, the Insta Glam Plus Soap wins. It smells very creamy and delightful, I am sometimes tempted to munch on it lol. The Insta Glam Soap didn't have any strong scent to it though. Both of it imparts a creamy lather on the skin which made them feel luxurious when being applied. They remind me of Dove soaps that feels so moisturizing on skin despite their whitening claim. Most soaps of this kind are drying, but not these from Serafica which earned them another plus.

Both soaps lasted me for a good one month of religious use (twice a day to be specific). I don't have any sufficient proof which one performed the better 'cause I was using each of them in conjunction with the other. What I noticed the most significant though is the fact that my skin looks really radiant and healthy everyday. In terms of permanent lightening, I still have that perfectly uneven skin tone which I know wouldn't go away that easily. It would take more patience and more whitening products to get rid of them.

Even though I cut the cubes into smaller sizes to prolong their lives, I can say that the Insta Glam Soap melts more easily than the Insta Glam Plus. Nevertheless, both of which endure being on wet place for a bit long period of time without turning squashy.

Insta Glam Plus Soap claims to whiten skin with peeling, but nope, no noticeable peeling happened after a month's use which is but fine with me. I don't want basking under the sun every time I commute 'cause peeling makes skin more sensitive to the sun and more prone to getting dark. I like how they just simply function: being affordable and effective in making skin look bright and healthy without over-drying the skin.

Overall, I think these soaps are really worth every try. Seriously, they feel luxurious on the skin and works well with other Serafica body products! They don't irritate the skin and do not cause 'backnes' which is another thing to love! Lather it while you scrub and rinse of with really soft and smooth skin like baby's butt!

*Note: I didn't use them on my face but I've read that they provide micropeeling effect on the skin.

An instant whitening body lotion with SPF 45 to protect skin from harmful UV Rays. Continuous use will reveal whiter and smoother skin. Apply on damp skin after bath and spread all over the body. Use twice a day.

I believe more or less 90% of Filipinas dreamed to have lighter skin tone and innovative products makes us a step closer to what we always wanted. We have every means of achieving lighter complexion but they always come with the questions "how effective" and "how long". If you aren't patient enough, here's a solution you might want to try to achieve instant bright skin!

Serafica PH is one of the newest booming online shop that produces organic and natural products that are FDA approved. They are focused on developing skin care products that uplifts Filipina beauty and just like me, the owner (Ms. Jyka) also believe in the beauty of natural skin without makeup.

Packaging

The product is neatly packaged in a transparent tube so you get to see how the product looks like on the inside. It is so quick to dispense as the product don't get stuck and easily flows right after you squeeze the tube. It displays the claim but not the full list of ingredients as well as the expiration and manufacturing dates. I'll use it as quickly as I could just to be sure though. Since it's made up of organic and natural ingredients, I bet it has a shorter life span compared to drugstore products.

Scent, Texture and Ease of Application

The product does not have strong scent to it, just a bit faint and fresh. The color looks very creamy--it reminds me of carbonara sauce--and now I'm hungry lol. The lotion is very thin as you blend it out but isn't runny. It blends well in small amount and ON DAMP SKIN so be careful not to apply too much as it clings to the pores and is hard to blend once it dries out. It leaves a white cast on the skin and even more extreme if you have hairy legs and arms like mine. This is probably due to the high SPF content but I rather not complain as I am protected under the sun with the whopping amount of SPF 45.

Once applied, it would feel sticky on the first few minutes but eventually goes away after a few more moment so learn the art of waiting, girls. ;) If you find it hard to apply even on damp skin, we suggest that you combine it with beauty oils like grape seed or sunflower oil, the thinnest you can get for added moisture. I would say that its hydrating factor is inadequate thus the real need for beauty oils. Take note that I'm using their whitening soaps in conjunction with so I'm usually left with dry skin.

Performance

This product claims to whiten skin instantly which is obviously true (see picture above). I just can't vouch for permanent whitening though since I only consumed one tube, that's all. However, if there's sudden event that you need something to make your skin look more even toned, brighter and softer, I suggest that you give this a try. I think it's worth the price as well since it takes quite time before you finish one tube. And after all, you need just an ample amount for your whole body. Since I'm using it all over my body (just not the face), it did not cause me any irritation at all--no 'backnes', no redness and other sorts of adverse reaction. It's definitely for all skin types! Use it together with Insta Glam and Insta Glam Plus Soaps and Strawberry Milkshake Body Scrub for best results!

First Impression: Serafica Body and Skin Care Products + Price Point

Here's to a first impression review to another organic skin care line I discovered through Instagram: Serafica PH. I found their products quite interesting so I joined their giveaway that whoever wins will luckily receive goodies from them for a period of time. Only 2 winners will be chosen and I was really lucky to be one and be trusted. I also had the freedom to choose which four products to use first and Ms. Jyka was just so nice enough to send a another soap.

Anyway, here's a first impression post about them!

Insta Glam (P120) and Insta Glam Plus (P130) Soaps

Claimed to be the best sellers and I had a pretty good guess why! Both of these lathers well with a creamy texture and feels luxurious on the skin! After a few uses, I already noticed that my skin lit up pretty nicely and I can vouch for it! The Insta Glam Plus Soap smells heavenly and definitely will be a cult-fave! Although I suggest that you lather a generous amount of moisturizer after bath 'cause these may be a bit drying due to its whitening properties.

Strawberry Milkshake Body Scrub (P149)

One of the best-smelling body scrubs ever! P149 for a 250g bottle in a super cute packaging? A definitely good steal! I won't lie when I say that this remove dead skin cells on the skin and best works with the two soaps I just mentioned. I am using it while I still have both soap lathered on my skin and the effect was just too good to miss! My skin feels so soft and supple after every use!

Extreme Whitening Body Lotion ( P250)

This lotion leaves skin brightened up every after use and is lightweight once dried. It also has a huge amount of sun protection (SPF 45). What I don't like is that I find it hard to blend on the skin and leave some white film. It also loses moisture after a few minutes so I need to apply additional moisturizer on top. A good suggestion came from Ms. Jyka: to mix the lotion with some beauty oils. A definitely nice hack to start with if you have dry body skin like mine!

Power White Soap (P120)

Haven't tried this soap yet it looks promising. Will keep you updated though!

All of these products are made with natural and organic ingredients, definitely free of harmful chemicals for a beautiful skin that's healthy inside and out! I will religiously try this product and update you once I emptied everything. I'm excited to see significant results and from the looks of it, I won't get disappointed!
