Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist Review

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist
Bought for: P1560/150ml
Bought from: Althea Korea

I know posting this will make me look like a late bloomer which I probably am but I have so much to talk about this product that even though the trend's gone, I hope someone would appreciate me writing this after all.

I bought this Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist from Althea Korea months ago. I was lucky to snag this at a further markdown since I bought it together with the another cult-favorite Time Revolution Night Repair Ampule. They were being sold in a bundle so you know that you're saving some bucks and on top of that, I had some credits that I shamelessly applied.

I believe that the product formulation has been revamped (somewhere in 2016), and since then, it has been upgraded to the "Intensive Moist" and with upgrades comes better ingredient concentrations. It's now formulated with 90% fermented yeast (10% more) which is the product's main ingredient. Don't quote me on this and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

CLAIMS (AS PER SOKOGLAM)

Missha's best-selling essence has been upgraded to "Intensive Moist," now formulated with 90% fermented yeast, its superstar ingredient.

Fermented ingredients are at the heart of Korean skin care. This newly upgraded water-like essence is a cult favorite among skin care lovers because it's well-known to repair damage and even out skin tone in just a few weeks. This newly upgraded formula contains over 90% fermented yeast extract from Himalayan purple barley to effectively plump skin, refine texture, and reduce pigmentation -- even better than before! Ion fermentation process also ensures rapid absorption of moisture, allowing skin to retain moisture for longer and restoring skin elasticity. Niacinamide brightens and clarifies skin tone while adenosine energizes skin for more younger-looking skin. This essence will be your new holy grail! This product has a pH level of 5.5

Couldn't make up what's on the box but from what I can see, these are just the Korean translation of what's in the next photo.

INGREDIENTS

There aren't much in the ingredient list and my heart's screaming because I secretly adore products that are formulated so simply. Showing this has few ingredients makes me think I'm putting less chemicals on my skin. But of course, it's not always about the ingredient list. It's how they are formulated together, concentrations and all, to make an impact on the skin.

As mentioned, it contains 90% Fermented Gemmule Yeast Extract and Himalaya Purple Barley that recover skin balance, and basic ability of skin by raising skin moisture from deep inside. Other ingredients are most likely fillers that aren't usually irritating to the skin. Take a look on the COSDNA product analysis to check.

PACKAGING

The product comes in a sleek cardboard packaging and has all necessary information about it. Upon opening, you'll see how it's all glammed up. The cap is sleek and silver and opens as you twist it. It's very secure and doesn't leak. There's also a stopper upon opening so the liquid is assured of safety and cleanliness. I accidentally lost it since first use though and that's fine because I don't think I'll ever wanna keep it. Overall, the packaging is gorgeous and it looks expensive as well. The material is frosted glass and that sits really pretty on your vanity area. The thing is, it's fragile so you can't bring it to trips very easily so you may have to decant some on small plastic bottles.

SCENT, CONSISTENCY AND EASE OF APPLICATION

This products smells almost nothing in particular as I did a second run through the ingredient list, I'm happy to know that it's fragrance-free so no wonder. It's a watery essence but I apply it like how I would with a toner. Soaking a cotton pad and apply straight all over the face and neck in a gentle, upward motion. It's watery in consistency, absorbs easily as it hydrates the skin instantly. No need to do 'skins' with this otherwise your skin is super dry or can tolerate a bit of tackiness. I don't think reapplication is necessary too because I have oily skin and I have to finish the rest of my skincare lol.

OVERALL PERFORMANCE

I'm not very happy to have splurge on this product. It does nothing special and it makes me develop bumps and pimples. This is the essence/toner I've used after running out of Laneige Clear C Advance Effector Ex and since then, my face has turned dull and oily. I don't know why but my skin is not very fond of this product and I'm partly to blame because I used a hydrating essence that's more intended for those with drier skin type.

I've only used about a half of this product for about a month and I'm not showing any improvement on my skin complexion. I was starting to break out on my neck which rarely happens so that gave me the idea of stopping. So I made a huge decision of throwing it away last week (throwing just away from my vanity lol) and switching it with the Laneige White Dew Skin Refiner which is slowly working to bring back my skin's natural glow. I don't know what I'd do with this now and I hate to think I'll be wasting bucks if I just literally throw it out.

So there, again, Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist did nothing for me other than worsen my skin condition so nope, I'm not gonna repurchase. I'm still happy for those who find it as their holy grail but keep in mind that not everything that works for one, works for everyone. This is the TSF, until next!

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule Review

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule
Bought for: P1,600/50ml
Bought from: Althea Korea

I couldn't stop watching YAMD (You Are My Destiny) episode by episode but then again, I remember I've been slacking off the past few months and so I have to make up by writing and posting all drafted blogs and un-uploaded pictures. Here's another product review that's over due. I've accidentally deleted the initial pictures I took for this product so I had to retake and upload just by now. This is one of the items I got during my Althea Haul last December together with the Laneige Clear C Advance Effector Ex if you saw my Instagram story. This is another cult-fave in the Korean Beauty scene and I got it for 30% off in the website since I bought it together with an essence also from the same brand.

CLAIMS

Get that dewy, supple and clear complexion with Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule. Its key ingredient Bifida Ferment Lysate is a fermented yeast that visibly reduces signs of aging and improves skin elasticity. This anti-aging serum is often compared to Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair as its less expensive dupe. It is gentle enough for those with sensitive and acne-prone skin.

INGREDIENTS

PACKAGING

I know anyone would agree if I say that the packaging is really pretty. I mean look at that purple packaging! It comes in a cardboard box and a manual inside. It has a dropper that dispenses product easily and allows you to control the amount to use every application. The rubber attracts dust and dirt but you can just simply wipe it clean with some wet wipes. The overall packaging is really beautiful and you can place it on the front line of your vanity without any problem. The only downside is that it's not very travel-friendly as it's made of glass so it would break any moment.

Unlike other Korean products, I'm surprised that it has English translation so I'm getting an idea what I'm putting on my skin without having to utilize Google.

SCENT, TEXTURE AND EASE OF APPLICATION

It has a mild scent and the ampule is light brown in color. I don't know if it's just me but it seems to oxidize gradually, turning to a deeper brown in shade. Despite that, it still performs well. Texture is soft like what you would expect with ampules and consistency is quite thin and runny but not to the point that it's dripping.

Since this is an anti-aging product, I kind of expect that it will be a little heavy on the skin. It feels a little sticky once applied but fades eventually after a few minutes. It warms up the skin so it's a bit annoying to apply during summer but I think if your skin is leaning more towards dry, this will provide just enough hydration. Because I have oily skin, I only limit application during night time, probably about every other day because it makes my pores produce so much oil.

PERFORMANCE

This is a highly concentrated ampule and is said to be a great dupe for the ever-popular Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum with about half the price I haven't tried the latter so I couldn't compare but it must be good for everyone's raving about it. Missha's ingredient list took me forever to read and I'm not very good at distinguishing what's unique about each and every ingredients but combined together works to make skin sleek, firm, even and healthy. The key ingredients though are the four (4) types of Ferment Lactobacillus Complex that contains Purple Energy Lactobacillus Ferment ingredients.

I won't pretend I know and understand what they are but doing a quick search enlightens me. They work to repair, prevent wrinkles and lighten skin. I am still in my early 20s so I don't have that much fine lines to worry about. Nonetheless, prevention is better than cure. It's best to combat early signs of aging. Using it religiously, I noticed my skin plumping up and skin's softer and smoother. Also, it really is hydrating, makes skin more elastic and boost skin's radiance overtime. Whenever I use it at night, my skin has that morning glow.

Despite the slightly thick texture, it did not clog my skin and cause breakouts. A drop is sufficient to moisturize the face and neck area so I think it's worth the price tag after all. I'll keep using it to keep my skin hydrated but I'm still thinking of whether or not I'd repurchase since it's going to be making a dent on my pocket. If you have the budget, go and splurge! It works well in restoring skin's vitality and gives it a youthful glow.

Review | Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream

Looking for the best BB cream there is in the market? Look no further. The best is named, the best is here! And it's no other than...Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream! I know you might not believe me, but try reading other blogger's reviews and they will tell you what's with Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream that it is claimed to be the best BB Cream in the world!

Believe me, I did not believe in all these claims either until I was contacted by Althea, inviting me to be one of their beta testers. By the way, Althea is finally now here in the country! Head over to ph.althea.kr and get authentic korean branded products for a much cheaper price! So yeah, I agreed, of course, and included Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in my haul. I know there's tons of good reviews already available in the internet but well, I just want to share my experience with it too!

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream, 50 ml
Bought for: Free (P1600 on local department stores | P560 on Althea)
From: Althea

That's just what I am talking about! You can get authentic korean products at Althea! Prices are dirt cheaper by at least 70%! What are you waiting for?! Go grab your favorite products straight from Korea!

First off, the packaging is very nice. Very high-end looking indeed. It comes with a metallic box with enough information on it already. The product, however, is caged in this squeezable tube with a pump dispenser and a tight cover so you can easily control the amount of product in which you want to use. Very hygienic and travel-friendly, it is.

It has lots of ingredients on it, including parabens which some might find a turn-off. Its but okay with me as though it's something I would not consider using like, for the rest of my life. And I expected it already as it did not claim to be made, of course, of all-natural and all-organic ingredients.

Being a korean brand product, I did have lots of expectations about it plus the comments of other people who said that Missha is really a good BB cream, in fact, the best BB Cream for them. I guess, Missha did not, in anyway, disappoint me.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream claims to offer a novel skin care concept with BB Cream, which lighten skin tone by healing visible wrinkles and blemishes with excellent skin-cover ability and prevents skin-aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties.

It also makes your skin tone clean and natural by concealing blemishes with excellent skin coverage. It is a multi-functional makeup cream with blocking UV rays, whitening and wrinkle care effects and simplifies makeup formalities. Its moisturized application with W/S texture makes sleek skin tone while supplying moisture and nutrition at the same time.

It has SPF 42 PA+++ which has a broad spectrum sun protection so you need not to worry getting tanned after sun exposure. Yet, you are still advised not to stay TOO LONG under the sun even while using sunscreen. With all its tested claims, maybe it really deserves to be a little heavy on the pocket.

Unlike other typical BB Creams, this one smells nice without a hint of foul-smelling chemicals. By the way, the shade that I got is the No. 21 in Light Beige. There's two shade available online: No. 21 and No. 23. I did not choose the latter as it seems to be a little darker for my skin tone. I do hope there's a shade in between as No.21 is a teeny tiny light for my skin tone still. But it's just fine, as this easily adjust to a skin tone with its neutral undertone.

One pump is more than sufficient. The formula isn't too runny nor liquidy, you can easily blend it on the surface of your skin. However, it dries fast so you make sure to easily distribute it along the corners and creases of your face to avoid uneven skin tone. It also dries in a semi-matte finish and is very lightweight on the skin, you need not to worry whether you have super oily skin like me as it does not feel anything greasy on the skin. And because of that, I bet it's perfect for any skin type!

Application is really easy with Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream! However, you can use brush, sponge or even fingertips but I really don't recommend sponge or brush with this BB Cream as its best applied with fingertips (at least for me). Just dab product on your forehead, cheeks, chin and nose area then blend it well. You can use the other product to build coverage on problem areas. During cold days, with my oily skin, I am actually not in need of a setting powder but prefer to use one on hot ones for a matte finish.

Now I know why it's a great BB Cream! One coat is actually enough to hide lightest pimple marks on the face yet concealer is still needed. I'd say it just offers light to medium coverage, enough to conceal redness and minor blemishes but not reddened scars. It's almost similar to foundations in terms of coverage. It does not trigger severe oil production too! Now, my face is fresher looking even after hours of commuting to school. In fact, I think retouch is not anymore needed when you use this BB Cream if you want to achieve that dewy Korean skin.

Overall, this is a very good product! And the best BB Cream I have ever used. So, have you tried it? Share it here with me! Happy blogging!

Hanna

Althea Korea's Coming To The Philippines + Unboxing My Althea Pink Parcel

When a product is manufactured by a korean brand, effectiveness is guaranteed. So I got really ecstatic when before the year started, I was e-mailed by Tammy Lim, a fellow blogger whom I believed to be a brand ambassador, asking me to be one of their beta testers. Just by their name, I know they are a reputable and promising online retailer.

I did not hesitate of course as when I browsed Althea's website, my jaw literally dropped! Products sold on their site were dirt cheaper compared to when you buy them here in the Philippines! Yes, they offer you products from your favorite Korean brands for a quarter of their Philippine prices!

I could not fathom how I was chosen but who am I to refuse, right? Hoho! So I immediately signed as a beta tester, waited 'til their private grand opening  last January 20 (exclusive for bloggers), received credits and shopped through hundreds of bestselling products and received my cute pink parcel yesterday straight from Korea!

From high-end and most popular up to the obscure brands, name it, and Althea Korea have it! Some of the korean brands that they have includes: Laneige, Innisfree, 3CE, Banila Co, Chica-Y-Chico, Etude House, Tony Moly, The Face Shop, IOPE, Holika Holika, Missha, Nature Republic, Skinfood and so much more! It's like they are a collaboration of all the most-raved korean brands!

When you buy anything from them, they will ship it inside this sturdy pink box that I will not ever throw away! It's so cute and spacious I wanted to keep all my precious belongings inside! And speaking of shipping, you can buy P1500 worth of products from them and they will ship it for free straight from Korea! And it will only take 5-8 days! Can't wait that long? I guarantee that your parcel's worth waiting. Your purchases will be covered in bubble wrap so you will receive the box in it's most kempt manner. You heard something cooler than that?

Royal Gold Foundation
(P3380)(P850)

Just see what I'm trying to tell you! From three thousand bucks down to P850!? Ugh, I need not say anything more. Also, I had to grab a compact myself just because I was hooked by too much deduction from its original price. Plus, it claims to give you a glow-y skin which I definitely need right now.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream
(P1360)(P560)

A lot claims that Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is the best BB Cream ever formulated. I jumped into the bandwagon thinking I should figure out what's hype about it. Plus, it retails for only P560 but try to buy it on malls here in the Philippines and pay P1600! Ugh, being a junkie on a budget, this wouldn't even be an option.

24K Gold Wrapping Mask
(P1800)(P760)

When I opened the box, there were product spills all over the crater of the tub so I had to clean it pretty badly to appear presentable on photos. Haha! Anyway, the tub is quite heavy and looks real high-end. Now, I discovered Cleopatra's beauty secret which I am sharing with you! Can't wait for my pampering session with this!

Actually, my loot shall have their Black Pack Cleanser but I guess they forgot to include it in my box. That really saddened me. I exceeded the worth of their given credits so I paid extra bucks to get my hands into the four products mentioned but...yeah. So I contacted them right away saying my order was incomplete and they replied immediately. Great!

Anyway, if you're interested to buy, you can visit them at http://ph.althea.kr/. But their official public launching will still be on February 15, 2016! Excited? I know you are! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna
