IN2IT Waterproof Eyebrow Colour With Vitamin E Review

IN2IT Waterproof Eyebrow Powder
Bought for: Sale at P177 | SRP: P350
Bought from: IN2IT

Way back 2015 up until first few months of 2017, I never own anything intended for my brows. Lining my brows wasn't my thing and I can go on with just a natural-looking blush and foundation. Sometimes, nothing at all. Well, I guess, not until I get introduced to retractable eyebrow pencils that are very convenient to use. I guess, that started my addiction for eyebrow products. And just last November, I decided to get my hands on this cult-favorite eyebrow powder from the brand IN2IT. This did not sound alien to me at all because ever since I was in college, a lot of the people I know who are beauty enthusiasts raved about how good this eyebrow powder is. I've been meaning to get this the entire year I was in fourth year college but I guess I'd rather spend for skincare. THAT WAS WAY BACK THOUGH. I love makeup and skincare equally now (cheers!).

Claims
Waterproof and long lasting eye brow colour in a three shade collection. Intense colour and easy to blend. Soft and smooth with the moisturiser vitamin E. Easy to apply with the nylon hair brush applicator and mirror compact.

Packaging

I'd rather not talk much about this product 'cause I'm pretty sure everyone's familiar with this. Still, I would like to write down what interests me most about this product.

First off, I like the sleek black packaging with floral details. Whenever you hold it, it feels sturdy and has some weight to it. You better be careful though, as plastic compacts like this could easily break when you accidentally step or drop it. For the love of reading, I appreciate that it has tiny information at the back like directions for use (I'm pretty sure you all know the drill), cautions and list of ingredients. I'm quite glad to know it has an amazing shelf life of 5 years. I don't think it would take me that long to empty it considering that I love using it on a daily basis.

I'm also surprised to figure out it has a small mirror inside, perfect  to use if you are going to retouch anywhere and anytime. It also has an accompanying tiny brush with nylon bristles which I don't think I'll ever use because it does not have that precision to it--it's too rough and stiff and also too dense for my liking. It was also hastily cut in a slanted angle. I appreciate the fact that they consider selling it with an applicator though.

Texture, Pigmentation and Ease of Application

To test the texture, I had to run my fingers on all shades and they are soft and creamy. They glides easily on the brows and I love that about it. You don't have to have good blending skills as it's easy to work with. One thing I notice though is that there tends to be fallouts whenever I use this. Nonetheless, it gives a decent color pay-off and for a drugstore product, I'm amazed. If you want to sport a bolder look and make it even longer-lasting, you can wet it with some water--something I learned when I was being made up during my graduation pictorial. If I wasn't mistaken, they are using the same product and my brows stays in shape the entire day!

Performance

What I really love the most about this is that it comes in three shades which I'll label as light brown, medium brown and dark brown just because I can't think of any names for them haha! So if ever I dye my hair a lighter shade, then I have a shade to choose that will suit my hair color. Also, I find this palette very versatile because I can also use them as eye shadows! If you want to have a nice transition for your brows, you can use the dark brown shade to frame, medium brown to fill in bald spots and the light brown for the inner corners of your brows. This works best for me!

If you are to use this, make sure to properly store it, tightly close the lid when not in use because I find that this became less creamy and more powdery as time goes by. I have this November and it is no longer as creamy as it was compared to when I just bought it. The temperature could be the primary factor as it can suck out moisture. This is not a big deal though 'cause again, you can wet it anytime you want. As for the waterproof claim, definitely it's not, but it's long-wearing and can withstand sweat and heat without creasing or fading.

Overall, this is a really good investment and whether you're a pro or just beginning to get to know makeups, this is a perfect for you. It's by far, the best eyebrow palette I have ever own and will surely repurchase once I run out!

The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencils in 02 Gray Brown and 05 Dark Brown Review + Swatches

The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencils
Bought for: P140 | SRP: Starts at P260
Bought from: Shopee Philippines

Here's a review on a product that I have been reaching out for for every day use--The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencils. Originally comes in six (6) shades: 01 Light Brown, 02 Gray Brown, 03 Brown, 04 Black Brown, 05 Dark Brown, 06 Dark Gray, I picked up the ones in Shade 02 and 05. Although all shades are amazingly nice for everyday use, I just find the Gray Brown and Dark Brown are the closest match to my brows--I have thick and dark strands yet seem to be scattered all over, thus the need for eyebrow products that would make it look naturally full. I'm just so glad I discovered these eyebrow pencils and I can't wait to share my thoughts about them!

Here's what the product claims according to Google:

Auto eyebrow pencil with square flat brow to design eyebrows with ease and convenience. Natural touch every day with a less-irritating square brow: Change from the existing triangular type to a smoother square type ensures less irritation even on sensitive skin to support a smooth and natural-looking eyebrow every day  Easy and convenient flat brow design: even a beginner can complete a straight-line eyebrow with ease and convenience by just straight stroking with The Face Shop’s exclusive design flat brow.

Packaging

So the product comes in this slim pencil type packaging with a retractable head on one side, and a brow brush on the other. This makes it even more convenient and fun to use for you get a brow shaper and tool in one for that beautiful brows on fleek. I measured length of the brow product just out of curiosity and it's approximately an inch long which I don't think would lasts me very long especially if you are someone who shapes your brows everyday. For the price I paid though, I wouldn't think I'll get a deal that's any better.

Texture, Pigmentation and Ease of Application

I actually used to hate the traditional pencil-type brow products and prefer these retractable ones that comes in a flat square form for the fact that they create better outlines and fill brows very easily without those sharp lines. I don't like products that seem to give a blotchy look on the brow because it requires more blending effort. Good thing, The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencils are easy to work with and even the shades themselves make it easier to blend on natural colors of our eyebrows. I didn't even need the use of  brow mascara!

One thing you might find off about these eyebrow pencils are its pigmentation. If you prefer those that gives a bold color pay off, then these are not for you. The very light pigmentation is what triggered my increased admiration towards these products actually. I like they don't add much color to my brows and just make it appear as if I have naturally full brows. Please refer to the pic below.

Using the 02 Gray Brown

Overall Thoughts

On the picture above, I had my eyebrows framed well for more or less 10 hours with minimal fading. I would say that they withstand humidity and hold up pretty well even with my oily skin. They are just perfect for beginners and to those who wants to achieve natural looking eyebrows without being too much. Definitely a highly recommended product and I'd be more than willing to repurchase!

Rimmel London Brow This Way Sculpting Kit in 002 Medium Brown Review

Rimmel London Brow This Way
Bought from: an online shop
Bought for: P250

If I am to name the most stubborn part of my face, it would be my brows. I have thick hairs and sparse brows. They look full sometimes but it's necessary to remove the lower portion to be able to get a good shape. In the end, I'm still ending up with sparse brows. I'm quite contented with its look, I mean sometimes I don't want to meddle with it anymore because it's something that needs high maintenance, you know, you have to keep it groomed and shaped all the time. But when my makeup artist during the graduation pictorial fixed my brows, I just keep on reaching for my Rimmel London Brow This Way Palette Sculpting Kit because it just looks nice for me and I feel like I need to tend to it na since soon enough, I'm going to be a career woman.

Packaging: This palette comes very handy to me. It is just too small to fit even my pocket so I could retouch anywhere and anytime I want. The sculpting kit even has this tiny double ended angled brush and a spoolie, so it's like an all in one product for the brows. Most of the time, I throw away accompanied applicators when they feel useless but for the first time, I am keeping the brush and spoolie even after I hit the pan because they are durable and is really made of high quality materials despite its reasonable price.

The angle brush is so easy to use as it is slim enough to create a perfect outline of my brows. I could use it alternately if I accidentally missed cleaning once it hardened. The spoolie blends the colors, the wax and powder well and gives that ombre effect.

Texture and consistency: The left pan of the kit has a wax type of brow product while the right side is in a powder formula that sets the wax in place. I find it easy to scoop the wax with my applicator because of its soft texture. As you can see on the photo above, I easily cause a dent on it when I am just doing photography. The powder has a creamy and soft texture. It is also pigmented. It applies well on my brows with ease.

Color: I got the shade in 002 Medium Brown. This time I refrain from getting the darkest shade because I am aiming for a more natural brows. I did not get the lightest shade either because I have dark hair which probably won't look nice when paired with lighter brow makeups. The powder has a natural brown color which looks nice for those with Asian complexion. It also does it job to balance the color payoff of the wax when it's getting to look a little heavy on the brows. The wax formula is a deeper shade of brown but actually applies lighter than on its shade on the pan.

For your reference, here's a swatch. The color payoff is not really overwhelming so I am not getting overdid eyebrows. I even receive a compliment or two from my friends when I wore this at school!

Before you scroll down, I would like to apologize for my no-so-good eye shadows, eyeliner and everything. I just bought eye shadow palettes the previous months and I am still figuring out how to properly mix and match shades. As you can see, I am neither and expert in lining my lids. Lol. The left area's look on-fleek, the right is noticeably imprecise. I still find it hard to work my right hand to the left portions of my face. Anyway, here's how I did my brows today.

Please bear with my makeup skills lol.

Longevity: Brow products last on me all day and this is not an exclusion. I just find that if I accidentally run my fingers on it, the color tends to get removed. What I advise you to do is to carefully seal the wax with the powder to make it last.

Overall, I love Rimmel London Brow This Way Sculpting Kit. With its affordable price, no one would get wrong with it. I am just hoping they come with gray shades because I think that would be a more suitable shade for me given my black hair and brows. One kit would definitely last me months and expect me to use this for more makeup play times!

Real Natura Organics Healthy Skin Foundation in Rose, Highlighter in Maria, Wink Brow Dressing in Raven and Soft Matte Lip Gem in Juicy Orange Review

Healthy Skin Foundation SPF 60+++  15g
Wink Brow Dressing in Raven 12g (P299)
Dazzling Highlighter in Maria (P399)
Soft Matte Lip Gem in Juicy Orange (P659)

From: Natura Organics

Good day! I have been MIA these past few days, again, because of some school stuff. I had to go to class early and went home later than midnight for some required extracurricular activities that involves so much travelling. Graduating-student-feels-like. Hahaha! Anyway, to make up, I have four products here to review--all came from one of the most popular organic brand from Instagram as of today, Natura Organics. Thanks Doc Mel for sending these makeup over!

Healthy Skin Foundation SPF 60+++

This is the Healthy Skin Foundation with SPF60+++ in shade Rose. Also available in shades:  It comes in a small, heavy plastic tub. The packaging, for me, looks so cute and posh, I had to look in the market for the same available jar to store my creams and mask which I can bring for travel as a substitute for bulky tubs. The only problem I had with the packaging is the lack of ingredients list. Anyway, as I remember, I can just go to their digital store and browse.

As I have said, the shade that Doc Mel send me is in shade Rose with a strong peach pigmentation almost pastel orange-y and a peachy pink undertone. Unfortunately, this looks a shade tad lighter than my skin tone (fair with a yellow undertone) and a bit ghostly when blended. What I usually do is top it off with a darker shade of powder foundation, I had one from Maybelline. I find it a little hard to blend too so putting light moisturizers underneath is advisable. However, I like that it dries to a soft powdery matte, suitable for any skin types.

The picture above shows a little of the scooped product. In personal, the shade is stronger than what is in that picture. Maybe if you have porcelain skin tone, then maybe this shade is for you. Also, a little would go a long way so paying more for an organic and cruel-free foundation is worth your every penny.

Highlighter in Maria

This highlighter from Natura Organics is one of the the first organic highlighters in the local market and comes in four shades: Calliope, Aceya, Maria and Athena. This comes in a durable plastic with a jewel-like cover. One product has an estimation of 10g at minimum. A little goes a long way too. The shade of the product is noticeably different from the photo above and below. This is because, when unused for a period of time, it can developed an oxidized layer. This is easily manageable by shedding off the first layer until you can see the fresher shade. In person, highlighter in the shade Maria has a light pink tone with shimmers for more highlighting effect.

Again, the shade does not really suit me well. I guess it would be perfect for those with pinkish and light skin instead. I prefer the Calliope shade with a yellow undertone though. But the thing is, I could rely for this highlighter now for a subtle highlight when I am off to somewhere and this thing would not melt easily on my oily skin, meaning it's pretty long-wearing! Just be patient in blending as it could have some tugging issues upon application.

Again, this product is made of natural and organic ingredients minus the synthetic ones so you might want to give this a try too! By the way, if you want to try these, you can avail the cheaper ones in Mini Strobe Glow Sticks for P199 each!

Wink Brow Dressing in Raven

The packaging is the same with the highlighter above, very travel-friendly indeed. It also comes in four shades: Caramel, Auburn, Chocolate and Raven with 12 g of products each. It also has a barely-there scent (all the products here do too). I believe the shade is the darkest one as it is almost similar to charcoal black (grayish black). I like that a little goes a long way already. Unfortunately, it having a dark shade for my slightly colored hair makes it unfit for everyday use. Again, the problem is the shade for my hair color. Had I stick to my natural hair color, this would be a perfect match. So if you have uncolored hair, you might want stick to this shade. But, other than that, I love everything to bits.

This dries in a slightly dewy finish so eyebrow fillers in powder forms is advisable to prolong the life of this product on your eyebrows.

Soft Matte Lip Gem in Juicy Orange

The packaging looks sleek for me because of the shiny black and white theme and a little gold lining. One retails for P659 each, kinda pricey, yes, but guarateed that it will not do harm on your lips! I like that this lip gem is so moisturizing! It comes in a bright orange hue but leaves a nice somewhat subtle pink stain on the lips! And it feels very hydrating after long hours of drinking and eating!

Aside from Juicy Orange, it has other shades like: Red Petal, Fuchsia Punch, Sultry Twist, Coral Mauve, Naked Berry, Poppy Velvet, Wine Plum, Caramel Glaze and Cocoa Cabernet.

The photo below shows one swipe swatch of the product. See that it does not have a fully pigmented shade with a single swipe. Nonetheless, I like it. I started to love orange shades with the same consistency even if I have not been a wearer before.

Review | Maybelline Fashion Brow in Dark Brown

Well-groomed and shaped brows frames our face, enhance our features and completes our look, no? If you really don't think so, just look at someone who can't leave the house without 'coloring' their brows. Ask Lindemere! LOL. She's not reading my blog so it's okay to mention her here. I don't even think she'll mind though. Hahah!

Anyway, I don't really groom my brows often, don't shape my brows either because I'm afraid I fail to achieve the perfect looking brows for my round face. Believe me, I am new to this. This Maybelline Fashion Brow palette is actually the very first eyebrow palette I own my entire life. So...I don't have much experience about it, so I tell you Lindemere's story instead.

Lindemere is my friend and she does not leave the house without her eyebrows looking on fleek. Why? Because she feels naked. How could an unshaped brows make us look and feel so naked? I don't get it. Do you? Well, some people can leave the house without, say, foundation or lipstick, but not with unshaped brows. How did that happen!? Anyway, just read further if you want to know why my perspectives on eyebrows on fleek changed abruptly!

Maybelline Fashion Brow in Dark Brown 3.0g
Bought for: P250 (on sale)
Bought from: Beautymnl

You can see that it's housed in a very travel-friendly palette with three pans inside, colors are from the darkest to the lightest shade. The first one on the left side is the color that you can use in shaping and framing your eyebrows, the middle is for filling in and contouring your nose area and lastly, the first on on the right is for highlighting and sculpting. Basically, it's a palette all for your eyebrows and nose needs. You can also use the two pans as eye shadows, this is just my opinion though. That's how I look at it. Very handy and useful, indeed.

So...for your information, here's the list of ingredients. I thought I should list them down here for those makeup enthusiasts who are very particular with what they are putting on their face (like me)! Okay, I'm guilty.

Ingredients (for eyebrows): Ricinus Communis Oil/ Castor Seed Oil, Candelilla Cera/ Candelilla Wax, Talc, Octyldodecanol, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Cera Alba/ Beeswax, Nylon-12, Stearyl Stearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Paraffin, BHT, Stearic Acid, Behenic Acid, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Synthetic Flourphlogopite

Ingredients (for nose): Talc, Zea Mays Starch/ Corn Starch, Zinc Stearate, Dimethicone, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Isopropyl Isostearate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Zeolite, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Tocophery Acetate, Hexylene Glycol, Panthenol

The product comes with a duo brush, the one side is like an angled brush with a triangular tip while the other one is like...I don't know...is it a blending brush? It's a good thing there's this built-in brush at least I don't need to rummage through my sets for shaping and contouring, plus I get to save time and space in my make up pouch, right? Though the brush constitutes to the product being 'serviceable', I find them too small for my small hands. So...I really find them not so functional so I'd still opt for bigger brushes. Also, I think I wanted them to be stiffer because they are too soft for my liking, I could not get all the pigments that I want in just a few swipes on the pans.

The formula in the first pan is a thousand folds different from the other two. While the fill and sculpting powder is dry, the eyebrow shade is waxy, therefore, it glides well on the eyebrows without too much effort. The fill powder (middle) can also be use as a setting powder to the eyebrows to make it last longer and to fill in bald spots without the oiliness.

For your own expectations, I cannot say it really last long on the eyebrows and is smudge-proof. But since I have very oily skin, the product would typically last me up to 5 hours only without retouching. And it's smudge-proof given that you don't smear it on purpose and on dry skin.

Anyway, here's a quick selfie of me wearing Maybelline Fashion Brow in Dark Brown. What I did is frame my eyebrows using the wax powder (first), fill the gap in with the fill powder (middle), and highlight my brow bone with the sculpting powder (last). I actually use Natura Organics Wink Brow Dressing for added color before I set it with the fill powder. Then for my nose, I applied the fill powder (middle) by creating a line on each side, blend it using the blur/blending brush and apply the sculpting powder on the middle then blend, blend, blend.

I know it looks still a bit sharp and imperfections are everywhere, but I am working on it! :)))

Overall, this is a good product for its price. I recommend it to those girl on a beauty budget who's looking for affordable yet high quality makeup that won't surely break their bank.

Tried it? Love it? Abhor it? Share it here with me! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna
