Hello Gorgeous Facial Scrub
Bought from: Hello Gorgeous
Price: P200
If you would like to get instant smooth and soft skin with lesser bumps and rough areas, the best solution would be using a good facial scrub. It's something I really would want to invest for because I just think that they are very useful for sudden events/occasions especially if time for facial salons won't permit. Facial scrubs are something we ought not to use often (too much exfoliation is bad for the skin) but best if stocked for you don't know when you're gonna need it the most. This was what came to my mind when I did my Hello Gorgeous haul. I picked up this Facial Scrub which is where the spotlight would be for this post.
CLAIMS, INGREDIENTS, DIRECTIONS
Facial Scrub exfoliates dead skin cells but still keeps face soft and moisturized.
Ingredients: Almond Grains, Walnut Grains, Vitamin E, Virgin Coconut Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Niacinamide
Directions For Use: Wet skin with warm water. Gently massage a good amount for one minute. Rinse and dry face with clean towel. Use once or twice a week.
PACKAGING
I find the packaging very cute because of the font style and design. It can also be very tricky because of the safety clip just below the pump. I had a hard time because I didn't know how to open it and I literally spent about 10 minutes figuring out how. I don't want to break it so I was being careful. All you need to to is pull the clip out so you can pump the dispenser lol!
I honestly don't like to use the pump because it takes several pushes to dispense the product. Also, it only spurts the cream formula and just a little bit of the scrub because of the small airway. So what I do is twist it open and use the long tube to scoop up the product.
TEXTURE, CONSISTENCY AND EASE OF APPLICATION
I know that the expiration date from the photo above caught your attention. I've purchase it some time last year and I've used it before it expired. This is a super late review is why. The product claims to still be good for twelve months after opening and it's impossible Hello Gorgeous would be able to sell each and every stock the same month of production. I still have a few left in the bottle and consistency and texture are still the same.
The cream is off-white in color, has a slightly yogurt-like consistency and natural scent. The physical scrubs made from Almond and Walnut grains are too huge and abrasive for my liking. You have to use a really light hand otherwise your skin may tend to get irritated from the friction. The scrub is very easy to rinse when splashed with water. It doesn't leave any slimy residues but you really can feel your skin softening.
PERFORMANCE
It does its job as a usual physical exfoliator. My skin is left softer and smoother and I like the fact that it's made of natural ingredients to keep skin healthy. It also does not dry out the skin unlike other facial scrubs. The only thing that's holding me back from repurchasing is the abrasiveness level which I don't prefer as I have oily skin and huge pores. Using too abrasive scrubs may open up my pores and trigger severe sebum production.
Hello Gorgeous Facial Scrub is so affordable at only P200 for a 100ml bottle and is accessible through different leading online shops. I like to explore and I've been meaning to get a facial scrub from a Korean brand so I don't think I would repurchase. Also, there are far better scrubs that are within the same price range such as St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub and BeautyFix Detoxifying Charcal Facial Scrub which I'd recommend more.
