Review: Musk by Alyssa Ashley Hand and Body Moisturiser

How does 'dryness' affect our skin? We may not be aware of it but dryness could easily lead to skin ageing. Some of us tend to skip body lotions/moisturizers just because it might be uncomfortable for everyday wear because, we all know it, it's too humid here in the Philippines. I know, I know, I tend to skip lotions every now and then too, but its time for a change! LOL.

No matter how hot and humid the weather is, I still apply body lotions after bath. It's because I am currently using Kojic Soaps which tend to make my skin lose its moisture even in just one wash. I guess its cleaning power is just overwhelming that it easily get rid of the moisture our skin needs. So to make up, I just lather some lotions afterwards.

What I'm using now is this Musk by Alyssa Ashley. I haven't seen a bottle being sold in department stores or supermarkets in our country but you can avail it online. The price ranges between PHP500-PHP600 for the one with the 500ml content.

My mom used to bring home bottles of this even before I started blogging. There's no definite time as to when will I have new stock (as it was just given to her by her colleagues) so I have to always cherish this bottle of magic. Yeah, for me it's gives magic. Hahaha, first of all, the scent is really great! I think its a perfumed lotion because the fragrance stays for hours! You need not to spray on your perfume as this will do the trick itself! I had to seriously resist myself from sniffing my skin every now and then. LOL.

I say this isn't travel-friendly as the bottle's bulky enough for pouches, still you can bring it wherever especially when you feel like applying.

You probably can't see what's written right?

This Musk by Alyssa Ashley is a delectable lotion with soothing oils and emollients , especially effective on skin prone to be dry, It's also dermatologically tested.

The product is true to its claim. It instantly removes dryness, giving your skin that healthy look. I do not have dry skin but due to constant use of whitening soaps, I always get my skin feeling dry and tight. Now to soothe my skin, I always apply moisturizers afterwards. I prefer the 'heavy' ones during night time so this is really just perfect!

You can tell that the formula is quite runny but rich and believe me, its not the light on the skin. It will give you the greasy after-feel so to minimize the greasiness, I just get a dime size amount for both arms and one each for the legs.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Paraffinum Liquidium (Mineral Oil), Parfum (Fragrance), Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Lanolin Oil, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Buthylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Allantoin, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool

For people who are health conscious, this might be a no-no since it has lots of harmful chemicals on it (italicized words).

So yeah, that's my review for the Musk by Alyssa Ashley (Hand and Body Moisturiser). Til my next post! Happy blogging! xx
