Jergens Anti-Bacterial and Mild Soaps Review

Jergens Anti-Bacterial and Mild Soaps
Bought for: Free | SRP: to be updated
From: Prize from Jergens during Manila Sundance Bazaar

These products have been in my stash for months now. I have been wanting to use them for a long time already but I couldn't find the reason why when I still have lots of soaps on queue. It was not after the sudden chickenpox breakouts when I finally had the chance to use these gentle soaps to post-cleanse and moisturize my skin because I wasn't permitted to use anything harsh. I also read online that when you had chickenpox, it pays to use products that are as gentle as for baby use. These came very useful after all!

And so I got these both during the November Manila Sundance Bazaar when I won MSB's online giveaway and where Jergens was one of the biggest sponsors. Aside from some lotions and other beauty stuff, these soaps are also included in the kit. I thought of keeping them for some time as time may come that I'll be needing these. Which just happened.

I first had to use the anti-bacterial soap to cleanse my skin and get rid of accumulated bacteria. I wasn't allowed to scrub my skin either so better use something that's more on cleansing. Anyway, both the antibacterial and mild variant are gentle and moisturizing enough for daily use. Also, the subtle fresh powdery scent makes me think like I smell just like babies.

We've always known Jergens as one of the leading skincare brands trusted by women. Their products are formulated to be safe for daily use, hypoallergenic and dermatologically-tested. My skin was so soft and smooth every after application and none of those dry, flaky pelts. Totally recommended for everyone of any age especially if you are looking for soaps that are non-irritants!

Jergens Hydrating Coconut Moisturiser Review

Jergens Hydrating Coconut Moisturiser
Also available in all leading drugstores, department stores, supermarkets
Price: P100+/250ml (also available in different sizes)

Hello, girls! I don't want to bore you right now so I'm keeping this blog post as brief as possible. I just want to really post something nice about a product I recently got from Jeunesse Anion's event a few weeks ago which is this Jergens Hydrating Coconut Moisturiser. I have tried several variants from the Jergens skin care line and I loved them all. I had few reviews about them here, others were left un-posted. No wonder that apart from me, a lot of people also have been a loyal consumer of the said brand. Now, I have here a new love interest which I plan on repurchasing soon!

Claims and Ingredients

This product has parabens on it, which is linked to cancer, but I have been using products with parabens on it since I was a baby and can't you see how active and lively I am as of today (lol)? Things like this don't bother me anymore.

Packaging

The packaging is very simple, travel-friendly and I love how all necessary information are being fed to us in an informative way. Since they come even in 50ml bottles (which I use as hand lotion), I can simply bring it anywhere and anytime I want and use it whenever I feel like my skin is dry and in need of some intense hydration without the sticky feeling.

The lotion is creamy white in color, soft and creamy in texture and very coconut-ish in scent. Seriously, I'm addicted to the scent which even lingers for a few more hours after application. The lotion is very easy to apply on the skin, dries quickly and blends without the greasy and sticky feeling other moisturizing lotion gives. I love how it instantly hydrates the skin and the moisture and hydration last all day. Reapplication is not necessary unless you really have dry and scaly skin.

It claims to have hydralucence blend that instantly makes skin look luminous and glowy and which I can vouch for. I love how my skin looks so glowing and healthy every time I apply this lotion. For the price I'll have to pay, I'm really getting maximum results. I highly recommend this lotion to every one who wants to get rid of their scaly and parched pelts without spending a lot!

Jergens Age Defying Multi Vitamin Lotion

Let's just say I am a big fan of Jergens lotions that I swore to the heavens that I'm gonna try all the different variants of the same brand. I may be showing off too much exaggeration right now but I am too impressed to just let this bottle go away without me featuring it here on my blog.

When I was in high school, my mom was always buying this other variant--the one which smells like cherry, I think?--so it's really nice of my mom's friend to give this to us right on time because my Vaseline lotion was already running out and I just had emptied my favorite Leiania House of Beauty Lotion. By the way, the one I'm gonna gush about this time would be Jergens Age Defying Lotion!

Jergens Age Defying Lotion, 200ml
Bought for: Gift

This is an age-defying product and I know my mom needs it more than I do (and it was given to her) but she does not mind me sharing so I took my fair share lol!

I think the main selling point of this product would be the decent dose of the most-sought Vitamins A, C and E in the product formulation which are known to help fight signs of aging, heals skin damage and keeping it younger-looking, healthy and supple. However, we may never know how much of these is presented in the product considering their high price range while in their concentrated and raw state.

The expiry date is printed on the bottom.

This product, just like the Vaseline lotions are petroleum-based, you could consider putting this one on the top moisturizing lotions for dry skin. However, what sets it apart among others is how moisturizing yet so lightweight it can be. It does not feel warm on the skin even during extreme heat. I sometimes think I have dry skin especially on colder days but when I try to scratch a little portion of it, there's really no hint of dryness at all!

It's pearly white in color, a little runny in consistency and blends well on skin without the greasy after-feel so it's kinda perfect for humid and hot season. However, you might want to layer it under SPF-based products or just apply it only before sleeping.

Look how I got instant healthy-looking and supple skin on the photo below! For your information, I have dry palms and I love slathering Jergens Age Defying Multi Vitamin Lotion on it!

What I like:

-moisturizing without the greasy feel
-skin stays moisturized all day
-mildly scented
-non-irritating
-has doses of Vitamins A, C and E
-make skin smooth and soft, healthy and glowing
-soothes dry skin
-travel friendly bottle

What I don't like:

-has parabens
-no SPF

Overall, this product is worth repurchasing! I'll keep in mind to purchase the other variants once I visit Watsons or other leading drusgtores, department stores and supermarkets where Jergens Lotions are widely available. This product is available in different sizes--from travel-friendly ones to bigger household use! Til my next blog post! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna

Jergens Age-Defying Multi-Vitamin Moisturizer

Moisturizing lotion is always a staple in my skin care routine. Actually, I can never go outside without applying lotion, otherwise, I would feel bare and naked. This isn't weird as I've already read a lot of blog reviews about different brands of lotions/moisturizers and it seems like we're feeling the same thing. Hahah! I am used to applying lotion right after taking a bath because I don't know, it kinda makes my skin instant ready to show off and on-the-go lol.

So as not to take much of your time, here's what I've got in my mind to post a review on: Jergens Age-Defying Lotion.

As my mom always does, she bought me another brand of lotion, which was Jergens, right after I finished my second bottle of Vaseline (wasn't able to post a blog review about it though). I was kinda mad at her for buying a different brand because my skin was used to the formula of Vaseline Lotions, however, it left me no regrets at all! I've been using Jergens Products ever since I was a little kiddo and I was satisfied, though they don't have any lightening lotions in their skin care line, so that's is how I started switching to another brands.

However, this products under their name, is an amazing catch!

Jergens Age Defying Lotion, 500ml
Bought for: Around P200
Bought from: SM Supermarket

It comes in a pump bottle for an easy squeeze application and has enough information about the product.

What it claims?

Jergens Age Defying Multi-Vitamin Moisturizer combines a powerful cocktail of antioxidant vitamins and essential hydrators to help restore and rejuvenate skin that is beginning to show the signs of aging. This nutrient-rich formula immediately provides all-day moisturization leaving skin softer and smoother. With continued use, it triples skin moisture content to improve elasticity, enhance its healthy look and help slow the effects of time. Made with Vitamins A, E, C, antioxidants known to help minimize the effects of aging and to help protect, repair and nourish skin cells.

What are the ingredients? (In case you have allergies on certain ingredients)

Water, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Ceteareth-20, Tocopheryl Acetate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Retinyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glyceryl Dilaurate, Lecithin, Stearic Acid, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Alcohol, DMDM Hydantoin, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance

What (my mom and) I like?

-Though it's for aging skin, I think it works just well on normal skin type. I'm in my teenage years and I don't think there is much side effects that I've noticed upon months of using the product. And we all need something to repair our damaged skin cells by the way.

-It's well, doing a good job in sealing skin's moisture.

-It contains Vitamins A, E, and C, antioxidants known to help in repairing damaged skin cells and restores the natural youthful glow of the skin

-It leaves skin feeling and looking supple, healthy, glowing, soft and smooth.

-It is mildly scented.

-It is affordable for its size.

-It is widely available in leading drugstores, supermarkets and department stores nationwide.

What (my mom and) I don't like?

-It is formulated with parabens (yikes!) though works well on preventing skin aging, has dangerous side effects on one's health.

- It leave skin feeling sticky because it's petroleum/oil-based (and I prefer those water-based lotions).

Would I recommend this?

Yeah, sure! However, I find the formula a little heavy for my liking but I think this product would be perfect for those with severe dry skin!

Love, Hanna
