Althea Korea Turns 3: Officially An Althea Angel + New Products To Try

I am a low-key blogger and my love for skincare and makeup is inborn. I am always thankful for all the brands who trusted me and mostly to the brands whose trust are unbreakable. Althea Korea is one of the oldest and the best K-Beauty shopping site I always turn to when finding new K-beauty products to try. I don't know what they found in me but for three years, they've got my back. This year, I am so blessed and grateful to be one of the official brand ambassadors of this K-beauty community who just turned 3 this July. Time flies so swiftly. I still remember how thrilled I was after they sent me my very first Althea box. The numbers of boxes and items I purchased afterwards were just countless. You can accused me that I am an avid buyer and I'll plead guilty.

More than being a beauty community and an e-commerce site, Althea's finally ventured into having their own skincare and makeup line I've always wanted to try. They reached me back then via e-mail about trying the Bare Essentials Set but I didn't received my box probably because of shipping issues. Now that Althea's turning 3, it's an honor to be one of the selected Angels to get the first dibs on the newest products of the brand--the Real Fresh Skin Detoxifiers in Rose and Green Tea variants. These are daily 10-seconds mask and don't you love how innovative the idea is? No more wasting 10-20 minutes of your life because in just about 10-seconds, your skin will experience the nature's premium ingredients for a healthier skin. Basically, the Rose variant (refining) is intended for morning use and the Green Tea variant (purifying) for night time. You'll get enough of these in my upcoming review. I'm still putting these duo to a test and so far, so good!

Aside from the skincare products, my Welcome Gift also include the cutest stuff ever like a mirror, canvas bag and a pink PVC makeup bag. Althea's making sure that their PR boxes are Instagram-worthy! The fun of being an official Althea Angel does not stop right there. We were given credits to shop from the site and I just carted a few stuff I'm interested in trying out. Just imagine the struggle in choosing which products to get! I exceeded the given credits and am more than willing to pay for what it's worth. After all, I've seen products I never knew existed before. I finally made up my mind and settled for these which...you all know the drill...you will be seeing the individual reviews here in my blog real soon!

Which of these have you tried already? Let me know via the comment section down below! :)

Manila Sundance Bazaar At World Trade Center (October 27-29, 2017)

If you love going to bazaars, it's impossible that you haven't heard of Manila Sundance Bazaar. I was kind of reminiscent about the old days (well, not so old), when my college friends and I usually go and shop until we drop during the bazaar. We would even take advantage of online giveaways wherein we could win free tickets, P500 coupons and a lot more for MSB.

Last October, I really did not intend to go because I'm too indolent to work my way to Pasay from Makati after my shift even if the distance was barely a mile. But since I came across the ongoing giveaway on Instagram where few winners will be chosen to bring home a gift pack loaded with Jergens stuff, I decided to join out of fun and a few hours later, lo and behold, I was declared as one of the winners! I immediately decided to go last Sunday and brought no more than P500. This is because I was on a shopping ban (after my massive shopping at Sephora) and I promise not to splurge anymore until the next year. Well. I sort of was able to control myself and only got the hair ties from one of the kiosks.

The whole place looked really busy and I wished I was able to take some pictures of the bazaar but I forgot my DSLR and my phone's not working. There were a lot of people there who were surely doing pre-holiday shopping but I'm skipping mine 'cause not only I splurged at Sephora last time they went on sale, I also bought myself and my youngest brother new phones which left me oh-so-seriously-broke. It was tempting, almost irresistible to spend some moolah over the sale that was going on in front of me but I need to hold it in or I will just hate myself for being so impractical now that Christmas is coming.

Anyway, since you know how I love Jergens lotions, I was really ecstatic to bring home these goodies, after all, I'm running out of my current Jergens lotion in Hydrating Coconut. By the way, aside from all the stuff on the picture (lotions, soap, magazine, hair ties) , I also received a Jergens pouch which my mom kept right after I went home lol. It was satisfying doing some window shopping and I'm looking forward to the next Manila Sundance Bazaar at World Trade Center!

Jeunesse Anion Millenial Fair

Last September 13, Jeunesse Anion invited me to a Millenial Fair happened at Garden Rooms, Marriot Hotel Manila. I was hesitant to pay a visit at first 'cause I haven't been to an event where bloggers unite. I wasn't that even outgoing enough to interact with fellow bloggers 'cause I always had this inferiority complex. Why not? I don't write really well and I am still yet to learn more about designing my blog (I am not satisfied with my template), SEO and stuff. I have still a long way to go.

Long story short, I realized that I have to take a step forward and grow as a blogger. This might even open doors for more opportunities and I wouldn't know how it feels to be interacting with fellow bloggers had I not come. It was really fun attending the event, very fulfilling to see familiar faces and bring out the fan girl in me.

Jeunesse Anion is known for their sanitary napkins which effectively prevent bacteria, reduce feminine discomfort and eliminate odor--which is what women who are always on-the-go need!

The event started before 12:00 PM I think 'cause we're waiting for more guests. No one can blame them though since the weather's really terrible. I, in fact, wasn't supposed to come since I was afraid I'd end up getting wet from the storm but thank goodness weather permitted!

Millenial Fair was hosted by Jeanine Tsoi, the famous UAAP courtside reporter. The talk done by the gynecologist, Ms. Faith Suluen, was really informative for she tackled more about proper hygiene and reproductive health. Ms. Nicole Romero (beautyandsparkle.com) talks about beauty and wellness, on the other hand, which interests me most. Why not? I am a beauty blogger myself lol! Her sister, Ms. Camille Romero, a holistic health coach, highlights health and fitness and even shared some delicious home-made recipes to keep the body healthy and fit. I think I'll do the red pesto soon lol.

We were served with delicious food from rice to korean food and viants to freshly-cooked pasta for hungry tummies like mine! Chef cooked the food on the spot, performing the teppanyaki method of cooking, and even asked each of us what ingredients did we want. Me, who's not really good in cooking, just chose sauteed garlic with mushroom and cheese to sauce my pasta without even really thinking what my food would taste like lol. I ended up enjoying my meal though.

I was already full by the time I finished my plate of garlic and mushroom pasta with potato salad and kimchi. Gaaah! Potato salad is heaven!

The highlight of the event was the Q & A session with Jeanine Tsoi and Christine Patrimonio, the newest ambassador of Jeunesse Anion and who was famous for being an multi-awarded tennis player. There, we learned more about how she and her sister started as well as their lifestyle being a sports lovers.

Here are some selfies taken by Diane. Thank you for taking photos of me here! I never thought I'd get some perfect selfies lol.

And of course, I didn't miss the chance to have a selfie with Genzel, Christine and Diane! So nice meeting all these gorgeous people!

And here's the stuff I brought home after the event. Looks like I'll have one year of supply of sanitary napkins lol. And thank you so much to all generous sponsors who made this event possible: Clara Ole, Jergens, Caronia, etc.

I am sorry I have lots of photos uploaded, I don't know which ones to post so. Anyway, it was, overall, a really fun and educating event. I learned a lot about beauty and wellness and I'm looking forward to more Jeunesse Anion events! For more information about them, visit their social media accounts!
