Snail White Whipp Soap Review

Snail White Whipp Soap
Bought for: P295
Bought from: The SM Store

Let's not beat around the bush and so here's my unpopular review of the trendiest soap from Thailand, the Snail White Whipp Soap. We might be probably aware of this but the buzz just grew louder when Ms. Kris Aquino, in one of her videos, told us about her new favorite soap. I was once a soap junkie so there wasn't much convincing in Snail White's part (with marketing and advertising) for me to buy one to try. We all know that Kris Aquino has great skin and she claims that Snail White plays a huge part to it so I'm really excited to experience what this soap can do to my skin.

CLAIMS (AS PER WATSONS)

This moisturizing bar soap comes with a delicate net to create a soft; luxurious facial foam that deeply cleanses and nourishes skin. Bearberry Leaf Extract visibly brightens the skin while Blackcurrant Seed Oil; Sunflower Oil Concentrate and Balloon Vine Extract help to soothe sensitive areas. Hyaluronsan HA LQH hydrates and refreshes for naturally radiant; dewy and younger-looking skin.

INGREDIENTS

I don't pretend I know very much in Science but going through the ingredient list isn't hard for me to say that there are indeed lots of plant extracts mixed in this product. There are really notable ingredients such as Niacinamide, Arbutin, Vitamins C and E and plant extracts like Bearberry Leaf (that claims to brighten the skin), Black Currant Seed, Sunflower Oil  and Balloon Vine Extracts (that help to soothe sensitive areas). There are a lot more that sounds unfamiliar to me but given that they are essential oils and extracts, I'm pretty sure they are responsible for skin moisture and regeneration.

PACKAGING

This is my first time seeing a soap inserted inside a net mesh. I've been seeing other organic soaps from local sellers that has the same feature and who knows maybe they've gotten the idea from Snail White. The soap is housed in a ziplock and the overall pink and white theme just looks so neat and girly. At the back of the packaging, there are necessary information printed like claims, ingredients, direction for use and even proof of authenticity. Be careful with imitations, they are everywhere.

The soap inside is opaque white in color, has a clean scent and I'm glad that even after several washes, the bar doesn't get mushy. I hate for it to melt considering that it's the most expensive facial bar I have tried, no kidding. It used to produce smooth, frothy lather only on first uses and eventually as it turns smaller, it loses the creamy lather.

Despite the price tag, I still think it's worth buying for. It will not turn your skin a tone lighter with just a bar but you'll definitely see an improvement in terms of skin's texture and brightness. With regular use (AM and PM), you'll see that your skin is more supple and healthier. It just brings out the glow. I use this for my face and body before my usual facial wash and I appreciate that it cleanses the skin well, getting rid of oils and makeup residues. The net mesh is a huge help because I don't need to use a towel to scrub my skin anymore. It's not abrasive as other cheap net mesh and is very easy to clean.

This bar is not as moisturizing as I expected it to be and I like that it does not give that taut feeling I usually get after cleansing my skin. This is why I would agree that it's safe even for face use. I did not break out while using this either. Overall, it was such a nice experience. I am glad this has been made available in the Philippines and I would surely repurchase.
