Leiania House of Beauty Milky Apricot and Dark Chocolate Collagen Face and Body Scrub

If you ask me what's my favorite skin care product, I'd say body scrubs. Not only they slough off dead skin cells and deep-seated dirt on my skin, making it soft, smooth and bright, they also serve as my best buddies during my ultra pampering sessions even while I am in the comfort of my own bathroom, except I don't have my own bathroom teehee!

Anyway, what I am going to review today is the Milky Apricot and Dark Chocolate Scrub from Leiania House of Beauty: my current addiction!

Dark Chocolate Face and Body Collagen Scrub 100g | P305
Milky Apricot Face and Body Scrub 100g | P305
Bought for: Free

Both comes in a recyclable plastic tubs with hard-to-remove stickers which I kind of like because it looks really local and organic. Both formulas are a bit runny and textured like whipped creams with granules and unlike other drugstore scrubs, I think this isn't at all cream-based so don't expect that a little goes a long way because when you scrub, you really have to put on generous amount to cover your whole body. However, both can be easily blended on skin.

After a stressful day, it's always nice to think that you can do something to make you feel better. Actually, scrubbing my body at least three to four times a week help my mind and body release some stress caused mainly by workloads and deadlines. My house is far away from my school which sadly takes up too much of my time, so in the end, I gotta rush some things out--my home works/projects, blogging, household chores, everything. And what I hate most? Spending a day being unproductive. Do you get me? I'm sure!

Good thing, I have these tubs of goodness waiting for me every bath time! Wipee! Thanks Ms. Favia for sending these over! I am actually having a hard time, can't really choose which one is better than the other so I have decided to combine these two in one blog post for a little compare and contrast!

One of the things I badly want to highlight about these goodies are them being made of organic and natural ingredients so you don't need to worry whether what you're feeding your skin is something that would really help or cause you more trouble soon enough. Also, ingredients presented in these products are popular beauty ingredients and are safe for everyday use.

For mobile users: This Dark Chocolate Face and Body Collagen Scrub is filled with organic components like Fresh Goats Milk, Papaya Extract, Aloe Vera Extract and Moroccan Argan Oil. It claims to boost cell rejuvenation, promotes growth of new cells, cleanses skin by purging out contamination from pores, keeps skin clean and clear, prevents formation of acne and fades away blemished spots.

Woo! That's quite a long promise!

Just look how delicious the contents are! Not just it looks like melted dark chocolate but smells like one too! It's scent is actually a temptation. Huhu! I have tried it thrice already and it just feels so good on the skin! It highly moisturizes the skin (because of argan oil), soften out rough spots (because of the chocolate-like grains), and cleanses my skin without over-drying.

If you can see, the beads are kinda large for scrubbing, bigger than the milky apricot beads actually, and is a bit abrasive for face use. So if you want it to scrub off your face, be extra careful as not to irritate your sensitive areas. Anyway, are the beads real chocolates???

I have always loved the St. Ives Apricot Scrub but this one will always have a special place in my heart from the first time I used this. Not only it smells really nice and yummy but also effectively soften my skin with every wash. In terms ofmaking my skin soft, this one wins over the dark chocolate variant, probably because of its finer granules that perfectly fits my every pores.

In terms of claims...hmm...there's no difference at all! I bet Leiania only created two different variants in terms of intensity(in scrubbing), color and scent. Hmm, what do you think?

In terms of scent, what would knock chocolates off in the top rank? Na-ah. Chocolates are best-smelling for me! This one smells nice too but not as yummy as the dark chocolate.

See, it has finer and more beads than the former variant but I find both abrasive (for face use) for my liking. The beads are sharp and if scrubbed with force, it might scrape off layers so again, be extra gentle when you are using this.

The best feeling are felt after rinsing off your body. You will feel oils cling to your skin but I don't know, it's just fine with me as I know my skin's already moisturized. Perfect for ladies in hurry but want to get a perfect polished skin!

Overall, these two are good products. Both made my skin soft, smooth and bright after every use and do well in moisturizing the skin, you won't even need to put on lotion afterwards! But of course, you need to to tame down your layers and soothe the skin.

Avail these two only at Leiania House of Beauty!

'Til my next blog post! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna
