Out of curiosity and mainly because I haven't tried anything yet from Benton, I purchased their Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack. Benton's Snail Bee line has been making a huge impact to beauty enthusiasts like me, which is why I felt the urge to buy something from them. I am trying to limit my spending nowadays so I started getting the most affordable from the skincare line.
CLAIMS
Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack is tested under dermatological control. Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Bee Venom, sh-Oligopeptide-1, and various botanical extracts are used to help improve your complexion. This sheet mask helps keep your skin hydrated and smooth. Best for skin protection, nutrition supply, skin vitality and skin barrier improvement.

DIRECTION FOR USE
1. Prepare your skin with skin toner after washing your face.
2. Open the packaging and place the mask gently over the face make sure it adheres to the face.
3. After 20~30 minutes remove the mask, then pat the leftover essence gently into the skin.
PACKAGING
Product comes in a pouch with all necessary information written in both Korean and English languages. I don't read Korean so this is so thoughtful of them. Inside is an open-type sheet mask that is made of 100% pure cotton so it won't induce any allergic reactions from cheap fabrics.
Unlike some sheet masks I have tried before, this does not fit me so well. There are too many air bubbles but I'm glad there's a good amount of functional essences that makes the sheet mask adhere to the skin well. The cotton mask does not tear easily and even has an extra sheet that fits the eye area.
PERFORMANCE
The main ingredients are Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water or Green Tea (preventative anti-aging benefits, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties), Snail Secretion Filtrate (contains vitamins and minerals for skin nourishment), sh-Oligopeptide-1 and Bee Venom (for acne elimination). Out of the four (4) star ingredients, sh-Oligopeptide-1 sounds alien to me. I did a quick research and figured out it's also known as the Epidermal Growth Factor or EGF. This can stimulate cell growth, proliferation, healing and/or differentiation.
Upon application, there's a cooling effect (best when placed in the fridge for an hour prior to application). It instantly soothe my skin that just had a chemical exfoliation and I can feel how hydrating the mask is. Despite it being unscented, you can still catch a whiff of some scent that's hard for me to distinguish (you know how bad I am at describing scents lol).
I am sure you all know the drill, girls, and right after I feel some parts of the sheet mask losing moisture, I removed it immediately and let the remaining essence get absorbed by the skin by patting it fervently. My skin oils up excessively so it doesn't like too much moisture. I let it as is as I sleep and wake up looking like a huge grease ball.
Since I still have a good amount of essence left on the pouch, I grabbed a compressed sheet mask and did another session the following day. Not as soaked as I expected but enough to give my skin the hydration it needed. My skin looked more balanced because it wasn't as oily as the first time.
If your skin is characterized with large pores and oily skin like mine, you might want to rinse a few of the product away before you rest because too much oil and skincare products can clog the pores, hence, all that black heads and comedones.
For extra hydration and soothing properties, this is a good product to try. I just think it would be best to use by those who have dry and sensitive skin. Nonetheless, it made my skin feel so supple and soft after use and it makes me look forward to using other Benton Cosmetics' products.
