WithMe Signal Velvet Lip Master in 25 Brick Signal Review

WithMe Signal Velvet Lip Master
Bought for: Free | SRP: $11.99 (approximately P650)
From: Charis Celeb

Hey, guys! Tonight, I'll be talking about another product I discovered from Charis. Almost 90% of the products I got from their website are absolutely adorable and products I swear by. When they opened up a new item ready for review, I couldn't tame my excitement because...what's it gonna be this time?

I haven't read any blogs about this yet so it's an honor to be writing this before (probably) anyone else does. I don't usually read reviews prior to writing a post because I don't want them messing up with my own experience but this time is different. WithMe is a brand that's very new to me and I'm entangled to a love and hate relationship with this lip velvet. I wanted to know if everyone else felt the same way.

CLAIMS

It is a matte-type lip tint keeping the color vivid for a long time by sticking smooth velvet mousse to your lips thin and lightly as if you put on nothing.

CAUTIONS

INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE

PACKAGING

Product comes in a khaki-colored cardboard box and has all necessary information like claims, directions, ingredients and manufacturing/expiry dates. Overall packaging is really nice. I like the color block idea and that the middle part is transparent so you can take a look on what's on the inside or what shade you're having.

The doe-foot applicator is useful too and the slanted angle makes it easier to apply the product onto the lips and follow the lip line.

SHADE, TEXTURE AND PIGMENTATION

I actually love the shade which is vampy and it makes me look more matured. It's an awesome Fall shade--not that we have it in the Philippines but it just reminds me of that particular season I wish we have. It's a brick red in shade with a cool undertone and I think it's the kind of red that would be more fitting to people with lighter complexions. With that shade and undertone, it gives a slight brightening effect to the teeth and I feel like I can do toothy grins whenever I want to.

Texture-wise, you'll get a creamy, thick and intense pigmentation with just one swipe. One dip can already give your lips a full color. A slight dab can already give your face some color. It's very easy to apply especially with that slight angled tip. It takes a few minutes for it to completely dry, on during those moments, formula is a little tacky. Your lips will tend to stick together but not in an uncomfortable way. It sets and looks matte but still with a little bit of hydration. ***not sure if I'm making any sense lol***

LONGEVITY AND PERFORMANCE

WithMe Signal Velvet Lip Master applies and blends like a dream. It has good color payoff but I would suggest you layer first with a lip balm or moisturizer if you have dry lips like mine. It tends to crack during midday and will leave your lips looking dehydrated. It also has the tendency to emphasize dryness of the lips. MATTE LIPSTICKS. After the first hour, I notice that product has been building up on my lip lines looking all patchy and flaky. This is why a good lip balm is necessary. To be fair, most liquid lipsticks I have tried before do the same. The only things I do to combat these are scrub and moisturize prior to usage.

This product has a pretty decent staying power and can withstand light snacks and drinking with only the inner part fading. It stays good almost all throughout the day and the maximum times I do retouch is about once or twice, pretty much after lunch and when going home. You know, sometimes, you just wanna face the world completely made up haha. Oh, by the way, it's not a pain to remove. I use my CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF MAKE UP REMOVER and voila, all traces gone.
