Belo Essentials AcnePro Kit

I know you could be a little skeptical about putting on some Bee Venom on your skin but you might love it once you use Belo Essentials AcnePro Kit!

Because I received P300 credits from Zalora, I decided to buy some products from Belo Skin Care range which I have been wanting to try out for the longest time--Belo Essentials AcnePro Kit. And here's my review about it!

Belo Acne Pro Kit
Bought for: Free (P230; save P100 if you buy the set)
From: Zalora PH

It's an acne-set with only 3-step clear skin system--cleansing with the facial wash, toning with the toner and repair with the acne gel--too simple for daily skin care routine indeed.

Belo Essentials AcnePro Kit is a range of scientifically-formulated products, each with a distinct benefit for smoother ad pimple-free skin. This powerful anti-acne line is infused with Purified Bee Venom clinically proven to treat mild to moderate acne and reduce inflammation. All products are oil-free, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.

Anyway, before I proceed, I just want to share with you the skin benefits of Bee Venom and why, really, chemists of skin care brands incorporate it in their products.

Bee Venom is an ideal ingredient for skin care products because it can increase blood circulation, firm the skin, smooth fine lines and wrinkles due to its capability to stimulate collagen and elastin production and treat pimples.

BELO ACNEPRO PIMPLE-FIGHTING GEL FACE WASH

Belo AcnePro Pimple-Fighting Face Wash effectively eliminates acne-causing bacteria and removes excess oil.

This facial wash comes in a plastic tube. It has a gel texture, smells nice with its signature floral scent. Unlike the Pond's Cleansing Gel, this one has a runnier consistency, foams milder and is more moisturizing and hydrating for the skin. To be honest, I think I would like it better if it would suds up pretty heavily so that I will really feel that I am having a well-cleansed face. And because of this, I tend to use more than the suggested pea-sized amount so this tube would last me, say, a month? Although it's not even a criterion of effectiveness but yeah I feel like whenever I use this, I still need another product just to double cleanse. Nonetheless, I like this facial wash because it could brighten up the skin and reduce oiliness without the sting, tightness and dryness.

Ingredients: Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Butylene Glycol, Bee Venom, Sorbitan Sesquicaprylate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Niacinamide, PEG-150 Pentaerithryl Tetratearate, Allantoin, Chamomile Extract, Glucono-delta-Lactone, Fragrance, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone , Tetrasodium EDTA

BELO ACNEPRO TREATMENT TONER

Acne Pro Treatment Toner unclogs congested pores, dries up pimples and exfoliates dead skin cells.

This is, by far, the most favorite in the group. It dries really fast and leaves my skin looking fresh and matte. However, I don't like that it has some hint of alcohol (probably because I already get used to organic toners that does not incorporate alcohol on their ingredients list) which I find slightly strong for my liking. Ironically, this product still remains to be mild on my skin and does not, in any way, causes some painful reactions or sting especially to troubled areas.

Ingredients: Water, Denatured Ethyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Bee Venom, Niacinamide, Sodium PCA, PEG-12, Dimethicone, Hamamelis Virginiana Water, Glucono-delta-Lactone, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Chamomile Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Methlchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone

BELO ACNEPRO PIMPLE GEL

AcnePro Pimple Gel dries up pimples fast, calms inflammation, and promotes healing and anti-bacterial action. It significantly lightens blemishes that pimples leaves behind.

This only has 10g of product content but still it could last up to a month because it needs to only be applied on troubled areas. I apply it day and night on my pimples and just as much as I would like it to dry them up overnight, it just can't. Others say that it could flat out zits overnight but I guess mine are really hard-headed that they won't easily budge even with great spot treatments.

And just like other spot treatments, this one stings just a little bit after a few minutes upon application and even caused some mild peeling on areas where I always apply it.

After a month of continuous use, my skin became clearer but not completely pimple-free. Although I get just minor breakout/smaller zits every now and then, they are not something that Belo AcnePro Kit would not heal eventually. I still think I might repurchase if I'm being tight on budget and in desperate need of a skin care set that would effectively tame breakouts.

I recommend it to oily, pimple-prone skin like me because of its capabilities to reduce oils and mattify the skin. However, it could be drying to other skin types so make sure to do some patch test first or consult your dermatologist before you try this out.

So...I guess that's all! Happy blogging!

Love,
Hanna
